It all started back in 2008 when bitcoin was released but no one really knew what it was, since then there have been a huge number of different cryptocurrencies that have been created for a variety of purposes. Some have been created to conquer the gaming industry and some have been established to aid with privacy issues. There are even those that have moved into agriculture and real estate like Fieldcoin, which is the first blockchain based land marketplace. Fieldcoin has hit the news recently with its growing speculation about how it plans to implement blockchain technology into real estate and agricultural crowdfunding projects. \n\nFieldcoin, plans to bring forth the revolutionary blockchain technology, and incorporate it into land property transactions, which has the potential to change the way we handle property exchanges between parties. Right now the process of land transactions is a rather long and arduous process that some deem outdated because of the technology that is available, and Fieldcoin will be creating the first decentralized land property management marketplace, but on a global scale. Along with a global marketplace for land property management, the technology will coordinate and transact with other blockchains, such as a blockchain-based registry system which has the capacity to safely and securely facilitate transactions between parties or individuals. \n\nA key issue that Fieldcoin is looking to resolve, is the fact that too many cryptocurrencies have little to no intrinsic value whatsoever, and are backed by nothing but are portrayed to be as good as gold. Fieldcoin has developed a new cryptocurrency that is linked and based on agricultural land property, and since only one asset can have the attributes of actual money, in this case it is land properties. There are actually countries that are running tests on using blockchain technology for this very purpose, countries like Sweden, Russia, Dubai and India are all planning to use blockchain specifically for securing the ownership of land. \n\nMany countries have witnessed the benefits of adopting powerful blockchain technology because it opens the doors to new possibilities, as well as removing old and redundant technology and procedures that actually hinder the way things function. The application of blockchain technology has actually been applied to the agriculture sector already, and is now beginning to solve most of the problems that are faced in the agriculture sector. It is possible for companies to now track and monitor the movement of certain agricultural products that originate on farms and end up in stores ready to be bought by customers. Well because the Fieldcoin token is an Ethereum smart contract it can initiate transactions in a safe and secure manner without the need for any middlemen to oversee the transaction. What's more is that the tokens are public coins that can be traded on public exchange platforms and can be used by absolutely anyone, which are part of the Fieldcoin Trade Back Token. The trade back token works by analyzing the price of Fieldcoin token market cap and if it falls, everyday over a 2 month period under a threshold ratio of 80% to the Fieldcoin ecosystem's assets total value, the owner of the tokens will be credited towards any future agriculture land purchases. The credit the token holders get amounts to the difference between the set threshold and the market value of the Fieldcoin token. Since the value of coupon corresponds to the difference between the drop in price of the token under the 80% threshold, and the actual value of assets in the Fieldcoin ecosystem, the coupon can be used to purchase properties that are sold by Fieldcoin Enterprise on their platform. Users will be credited in either euros or US dollars or any low volatile currency that can be used in the future. \nAs we know the threshold ratio is 80%, but how is the coupon value calculated? Well let's use an example with imaginary figures: A piece of agricultural land that is worth $100,000 during a downtrend. \n\nWe know that the total Fieldcoin ecosystem property assets are worth $30,000,000, and the current Fieldcoin token is worth $0.023. With the total number of Fieldcoin tokens equalling 750,000,000, and the Fieldcoin token market cap totaling $17,250,000, we can then calculate the token worth ratio to Fieldcoin assets equals 57.5% by performing the following calculation: 17,250,000 / 30,000,000.\n\nSo the coupon price is equal to the difference between the 80% threshold and the 57.5% ratio, to which the coupon adds a 22.5% discount to the price of the land that is bought, or $22,500. \n\nThe Trade-Back token has the ability to decrease the risk of loosing a lot of value during market dips but has the ability of drawing a certain amount of physical assets into Fieldcoin's Eco-system during bull markets.\nHere is how Marc Couzic, the founder explains it in his own words:\n\n\"Here is the thing: in case the token takes 3, 4 or 10 times its ICO value, The trade-back effect will be too small. This is only one of the  few  disadvantages  found  on  the  Ethereum  blockchain.  Consequently,  many  competitors are entering this huge segment of the Blockchain with different value proposition and claiming to fixe the issues of the Ethereum smart-contracts.\n\nCardano,  EOS,  Lisk...  How  many  decentralized  network  projects  can  you  name  aiming  to compete with the leading creator of smart-contracts, Ethereum led by the famous and brilliant genius  Vitalik  Buterin?  All  claim  to  have  the  key  to  solve  the  difficulties  linked  with  creating smart-contracts. However, no one has yet delivered such a powerful working tool.\n\nCurrently  creating  a  smart  contract  on  the  Ethereum  blockchain  is  not  difficult.  If  you  want basic  features,  one  will  just  need  to  copy  paste  a  protocol  that  is  already  proposed  by  the network and change some basic features like pre-sale schedule and number of tokens. But if a tailored made token is needed to fit the specifics of your project, a blockchain expert is highly needed. \n\nIn  fact,  creating  smart-contracts  on  the  Ethereum  blockchain  is  not  for  everyone.  You  need strong knowledge of coding in Solidity language. Just 500 experts are available right now. And the  demand  is  growing  everyday.  Most  of  full-stack  and  back-end  developers  do  not  know about the coding language. Many are not even interested about the Blockchain Technology. \n\nThe  result:  we  are  currently  left  with  a  token  that  is  difficult  to  code  and  which  needs  a  lot  of improvement to be 100% functional and user friendly.\n\n<h2><b>But things are about to change...</b></h2> \n\nFew months ago developers have built a new standard proposition, the ERC223.https://github.com/Dexaran/ERC223Token\n\nThe  purpose  of  the  new  ERC223  is  to  decrease  the  transfer  fees  (gas),  increase  the  transfer speed and block the transfer of tokens sent to a different chain address, making it impossible to loose sent tokens on some other blockchains.\n\nCurrently,  99%  of  ICO  on  Ethereum  use  the  famous  ERC-20  token.  The  following  ERC-223 enhancements may well become the norm in the months to come.\n\n<h2><b>What is “ERC20\"?</b></h2>\n\nIt  is  a  standard  built  by  the  Ethereum  Foundation.  To  be  qualified  as  ERC20  it  has  to  follow certain norms and specifications. It indicates the functions that a token contract must manage to belong to it. No matter the content of its code, a token is accepted as an ERC20 when its contract meets these specifications.\n\nThis consensus around ERC20 allows all projects to deploy their tokens with some guarantees of   results   but   also   a   wallet   compatibility   with   all   the   other   ERC20   Ethereum   tokens. MyEtherWallet being the most popular so far:  http://myetherwallet.com/ \n\nConsequently, all ERC20 tokens can be stored on the same address.\n\n<h2><b>Limitations of the current standard</b></h2> \n\nOn  the  blockchain  everything  age  fast...  Despite  its  overwhelming  success,  the  standard  has to be modified to cope with future needs and evolution. Several situations already pose serious issues:Now it only takes one \"Transfer\" function to send tokens to a wallet address. But in the case of a transaction between a portfolio address and a smart contract, 2 steps are needed. You must first validate the transaction with the relevant token contract (\"approve\") and then execute the \"transferFrom\" function on the receiving contract where you want to deposit your tokens.\n\n![interactcontract.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmRMqyNCp3Qe3KipeyvbScYFA7j99cQibrQvk3R4oT1ZGf/interactcontract.png)\n\nBy  executing  directly  the  \"Transfer\"  function,  you  may  loose  your  tokens  that  are  trapped  on the  contract  address.  Same  result  if  you  mistakenly  send  your  tokens  to  a  wrong  contract address. It is therefore not possible with ERC20 tokens to reject the transfer of tokens that are unsupported.\n\nToday,  hundreds  of  millions  worth  of  tokens  are  lost  on  different  chains  and  Ethereum  cannot be taken back.\n\n<h2><b>The ERC223 proposition</b></h2> \n\nThe  new  standard  proposition  is  not  only  fully  compatible  with  all  the  applications  used  by ERC20  tokens  (MEW,  Etherscan...)  but  also  fixes  the  current  issues  while  keeping  all  the avantages of the previous standard.\n\nThe main advantages of ERC223 proposition:\n\n-Prevents the loss of tokens due to a sending error.\n-Reduces gas costs by 50% when transferring between a wallet and a smart contract (moving from a two-function transaction to a single “Transfer”).\n-Simplifies  the  process  of  sending  tokens  to  a  contract  making  the  Ethereum  blockchain  less bulky.\n\n<h2><b>Adoption of the new proposition</b></h2> \n\nMost of current tokens are integrating the ERC223 enhancements like Fieldcoin, but still do not make  their  tokens  totally  ERC223  for  the  reason  that  so  far,  it  is  not  a  standard  and  many exchanges  still  are  reluctant  to  accept  100%  ERC223  tokens  on  there  trading  platforms. Although its benefits are clear, Proposition 223 is not yet officially recognized by Ethereum.\n\nIn  coming  months  its  popularity  may  increase.  Few  other  projects  have  chosen  to  go  100% ERC223. Here are some examples of tokens that are now totally ERC223: \n\n-MobileGo, a token monetizing esports and developed by GameCredits.\n-Coss, on exchange token.\n-Followcoin, a copy trade project.\n\n<h2><b>Application of those advantages to Fieldcoin Eco-system</b></h2> \n\nNevertheless, most tokens have adopted the ERC223 features. This is for example the case of Fieldcoin,  the  platform  dedicated  to  land  exchange  and  crowdfunding  of  agricultural  projects with  an  innovative  Trade-Back  Protocol  developed  by  its  founder,  Marc  Couzic.  Those  new features are essential for Fieldcoin’s project.\n -On its land exchange platform the amount transferred are important.
