It's a very simple chicken pasta recipe that you can throw together in 30 minutes for a creamy dinner with a bit of a kick.\n\nPrep Time\n5 minutes\nCook Time\n25 minutes\nTotal Time\n30 minutes\nIngredients\n250 g (9 oz) pasta\n1 tbsp olive oil\n20 g (1.5 tbsp) unsalted butter\n350 g (12 oz) chicken breast, diced\n1 large shallot, finely chopped\n2 large garlic cloves, finely chopped\n1 tsp smoked paprika\n1 tsp onion granules\n1 tsp dried oregano\n1/4 tsp ground black pepper\n1/4 tsp cayenne pepper\n1 tbsp tomato paste\n250 ml (8.5 fl oz) chicken stock\n75 g (2.5 oz) cream cheese\n30 g (1 ounce) grated parmesan\n1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped\n\nInstructions\nBring a large pot of water to boil, salt it generously, and cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Reserve a bit of pasta water before draining.\nMeanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large pan, then add the butter. When the butter has melted, add the chicken breast and cook it for 5-6 minutes until slightly golden.\nAdd the shallot and garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Next, add the smoked paprika, onion granules, dried oregano, ground black pepper and cayenne pepper and stir to combine.\nStir in the tomato paste, then add the chicken stock and bring a boil. Lower the heat and stir in the cream cheese. Break it down with your spoon until it dissolves completely in the sauce.\nTransfer the pasta to the pan and stir to combine. Add a splash of pasta water if it looks too thick.\nNext, stir in the grated parmesan and fresh parsley.
