How do we active our Vagus Nerve?\n\nThese are questions appearing more often in the collective conversation…\n\nThe Vagus Nerve System is the longest nerve in our body. It is the part of the central nervous system responsible for connecting all of our organs together. Similar to a tree trunk, the Vagus Nerve System wraps around organs and builds a complex root structure that connects the entire body together physiologically. Our emotions and visceral feelings are processed by the Vagus Nerve and these connective structures feed our brains with information.\n\n\nThe Vagus Nerve system is important to understand for people on the autism spectrum.\n\nAs an individual on the spectrum, I began learning all about the vagus nerve system roughly two years ago. At the time, I was suffering from almost daily panic attacks. When I understand how the autism spectrum works, I began to realize how I was allowing my self to enter into a “fight or flight” mode that kept me in a constant state of overwhelm. Instead of staying in that place, I dedicated myself to understanding the autism spectrum. At the time, this meant wrapping my head around the vagus nerve system and how it was affecting my body.\n\nHere’s what I learned in my own life:\n\nThe Vagus Nerve system is what connects all of the pathways in our body together in order to process our emotions.\n\nEmotions are processed in different parts of the body, depending on the particular emotion.\n\nFor example, anxiety is usually felt inside a person’s stomach. Normally, if a person’s Vagus Nerve is healthy, the anxiety will be interpreted and felt by the brain. Why does this happen? Because the Vagus Nerve connected the neurotransmitters in the stomach up to the neurotransmitters inside of your brain. Through this connective pathway, the human mind is able to experience and interpret our complex emotions.\n\nFor a person like me on the autism spectrum, our Vagus Nerve can be damaged.\n\nWhat does a damaged Vagus Nerve do to a person? Unfortunately, we don’t even get a definition of what it means to believe in yourself.\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKs7sccNaXQ\n\nThere is no course in high school or college that teaches us how to believe in ourselves. In fact, quite the opposite…\n\nSchool and society is setup in a way that it becomes difficult to learn how to believe in yourself. At school, we are taught to listen to the teachers, stand in line, color in the lines, and abandon our childlike sense of creativity. Meanwhile, fundamentalist religions are teaching us that we are full of “original sin” and inherently wrong.\n\nThat’s the message of both school and church: you come into this world “wrong”.\n\nYou need guidance. You don’t have the answers. You need to listen to the adults. You have to listen to the pastor or you’ll go to hell. You have to listen to the teacher or you’ll fail your class and get in trouble.\n\nThat’s why these messages need to begin changing…\n\nWe need to teach people how to believe in themselves. We have to teach self esteem and help individuals experience personal growth and personal development without feeling like they are failures. Instead of teaching kids to ignore that little voice in their heads, we need to teach them how to believe in themselves.\n\nBelieving in yourself means listening to that little voice in the back of your head… That little voice with all the crazy ideas.\n\nListening to that intuition… Listening to your “gut instincts”.\n\nTHAT is what it means to “believe in yourself”.\n\nBelieve in that little voice.\n\nBelieve in your feelings.\n\nBelieve in what feels right for you.\n\nThat is your birthright.\n\nThe world NEEDS that voice. Your voice is what is missing from the collective conversation.\n\nInstead of teaching kids how to listen to authority, we need to teach them how to listen to that voice… How to act from a place of courage, creativity, and inspiration instead of a place of fear and waiting for guidance.\n\nWhen we teach our kids to ignore their own little voice, we teach them how to fail at contributing to society. We breed a society that is not able to come up with creative solutions to complex problems. Instead of wondering why the world seems to be “falling apart” in 2019, let’s focus on teaching more folks how to believe in themselves. \n\nBelieve in that little voice with all the crazy ideas.\n\nFollow that voice to the ends of the earth. That is how you will fully know yourself. It is a form of pre-selling a product or business ideas. Crowdfunding is usually conducted on platforms like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or GoFundMe. Each of these platforms are similar but contain some essential differences for how they can best be used. In general, Kickstarter and Indiegogo orient more towards business ideas or product pitches. Meanwhile, GoFundMe is more focused on charity or raising money for social movements.\n\nCrowdfunding is a powerful application of new technology that allows the people to fund ideas independent of any third party. At the end of January, 2019, a team of scientists at Columbia University were able to create a robot with the ability to imagine itself. In the same way that humans are able to imagine themselves carrying out tasks and what the possible outcomes of those tasks might be, there now exists a robot that is able to picture and calculate future events. Although we do not think of it as such, this power of imagination is one of the most important aspects of the human experience. In fact, this force of imagination is linked with our divine spiritual nature. In many esoteric traditions, this power of imagination is linked with our ability to imagine and create our world in whatever way we want. This is the seat of manifestation.\n\nAI technology is projected to one day achieve an event of self awareness. Ray Kurzweil calls this event “the singularity”. A moment that exists almost as a form of “the rapture for scientists”. A moment in the future (who knows when?) at which the robot consciousness will finally realize its full potential. In this instant, the machine mind will gain in self awareness. It will realize that this AI technology created by human beings is capable of self realization. In this instant, the AI technology will realize itself, see its full potential, and begin to act from that place of full and complete awareness. Instead of just using machine tools to better harvest fields, care for the sick, and function at work, we could experience a mutual evolution and merging with those technologies we’ve created. Can a robot ever replace intimate partnership with another person?\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWZL4pLJV7g\n\nAs we continue forward into the future, this question of relationships with AI technology will become more of an issue…\n\nEspecially once VR technology is in the mix, it will become a very real possibility for someone to begin having a real romantic relationship with an artificial intelligence… What are the dangers here? Could it ever be a “good idea” to start having romantic relations with a robot?\n\nIs it possible that this is the future of the species? That the future organism on this planet is some mix of robots and humans, perhaps somehow formulated inside of a sexual partnership between the two?\n\nAlthough this might seem like science fiction now, we are moving towards a future where it is an immediate concern regarding how robots in the bedroom will play out.\n\nUltimately, this question relies on getting back to what’s important in life: our relationships. We might see folks using AI technology as a substitute for relationships because folks are too scared to talk to their romantic partners about what’s REALLY going on inside of the relationship. Instead of sorting it out, folks could turn to the AI lovers to fill the hole.\n\nIn order to ensure we do not have such a cold fate, it is essential that we mend our relationships. This requires folks being authentic and truthful with one another here in 2019. If we want to avoid a future where the majority of people are substituting partnerships with AI lovers, we have to step up to the plate and begin having REAL conversations with one another.\n\nOn this show I talked to Michael Lauria about the idea of intimate sexual relationships with AI technology. Here's the real issue here: folks are lonely. We need love in this world. It's time to understand that the reason why someone would value having sex with a robot over a human is because they've been harmed in their relationships.\n\n\n\nHere's what's real in the world: relationships are the most important things in our lives.\n\nIf we are having a bad relationship with our romantic partner, it will show up in every other area. It will affect our business, our health, our ability to stick to goals, and everything in between. What do I mean here? Well, essentially we begin to understand that time is just a consecutive version of \"now\". All that we are experiencing is just the \"continuous now\" that continues on into eternity. When viewed as such, time does not exactly exist in a linear fashion. Instead, we understand that all we are experiencing is happening simultaneously to a degree.\n\nWhat does this concept of time have to do with spiritual awakening?\n\nSpiritual awakening is the realization of our spiritual force within our human bodies. In the consideration of time, we step into an understanding that time and space are all happening at once. All of history is happening in this one moment. This instant of \"now\" is all that is happening and it echos throughout all of time and space. Of course, I understand that time and space are constant advancing studies in the realm of physics and spectrums of science. However, I am trying to approach this question from more of a philosophical notion rather than one of previous scientific advancement (although the two are symbiotic of course).\n\nWhen we stop for a moment and reflect on \"right now\", we start to understand that this now is all that exists.\n\nWhy? We are an infinite being. We are all that there is inside of space and time. Collectively, we are a god-force that permeates every inch of our universe. Our collective consciousness extends out in all directions of time and space. When we understand that are a conglomerate of a collective mind that exists throughout all moments of history and the future inside of THIS moment, then we begin to grasp our power.\n\nDo an experiment: let's stop and reflect on THIS moment that we are sharing together... You reading these words and me writing.\n\nIn this instant, we are joined in the only moment that exists. The continuous now.\n\nWhat do you notice about this moment?\n\nIs it \"less\" than anything? Is it greater than anything? Is it somehow undeserving? Is the you that exists in this moment somehow not capable of something? Is this moment striving for anything? Is there anything \"bad\" about this moment? Is there anything inherently good about it?\n\nThe more we reflect on this moment, the more we realize that this moment simply \"is\".\n\nIt simply exists.\n\nIt is all that there is.\n\nAnd we share it together.\n\nSpiritual awakening is when we step into full awareness of this moment and all that it involves. \"This moment\" is constantly staring us right in the face.\n\nTo take a more tactical perspective on this moment: whenever we want to make progress towards our goals, we constantly think of them as something to work towards... Starting a business in the future, getting a promotion down the road, losing weight over the next 90 days, creating healthier habits over the next month, etc. etc... All of these are goals for \"the future\".\n\nWhat if we reframed goal setting entirely and began to understand that everything that will ever exist is right now?\n\nEffectively, the \"future\" does not really exist.\n\n\"The future\" is just a forward propulsion of what we are RIGHT NOW. As we continue to refine THIS moment into that ideal future, that ideal life, and that ideal moment, we begin to attract more of the moments that we seek to fill our reality with... As we habituate this moment into a moment that encapsulates all we hope to accomplish, we realize that all that we hope to accomplish in \"the future\" exists now.\n\nWe already have that imagined future because it exists right now. All we must do is step into that future.\n\nThat is why it so important to take immediate action to our goals... That is why taking action on our goals immediately works so well when we are trying to re-create our life into something more beautiful. We continue to mold THIS moment into the moment we hope that it becomes.\n\nHowever, when we realize that change can happen immediately because \"this moment\" is all that exists, we understand our real potential. When we change this moment into a powerful, empowered, and profound moment, we line up all bodies of heaven and earth into a single point of synchronicity.       "body": "Did you hear the news today in January of 2019?\n\nFacebook is set to merge Instagram, Whatsapp, and Messenger into one super-app. This is a crucial topic to explore here in 2019 as the AI technology arms race begins to heat up. When thinking about artificial intelligence globally, we have to see how the world politics and global economy is functioning. At this moment in time, China is facing off against the United States to do battle over who is going to win the race to implement AI technology across a variety of different important markets. This is a topic explored at length in the book “AI Super-Powers: China, Silicon Valley, And The New World Order” by Dr. Kai-Fu Lee. If this is a topic you find interesting, this book is a must-read. I have learned quite a bit about this topic from AI Super-Powers which has informed much of what I will write in this article.\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBkPNyGnFs4\n\nFacebook is facing off against the tech juggernauts of China… Baidu, Tencent, and Alibaba are squaring off with the USA to dominate the AI technology field. Right now, we are exiting out of the stage of AI invention… “Deep learning” was the big invention from this era that allowed machines to begin analyzing and LEARNING what users were doing. AI is now able to recognize patterns across a wide spectrum of consumer behavior and predict that behavior again, at-scale. Deep learning is the sort of technology that powers digital advertising platforms like Facebook or Google Ads here in 2019. This is the power-house discovery of the past few years and has allowed computers to begin to beat world-class players at games like Go.We are moving into the age of AI technology implementation. What this means is that deep learning technology will begin to disrupt a number of different industries. What began in the world of digital advertising will expand into every aspect of life from healthcare, to food delivery, to music, and much more that has yet to even be imagined. When folks talk about AI technology disrupting job markets and replacing workers, THIS age of implementation is what they are discussing.\n\nThe issue here is that China has a MASSIVE jumpstart on the United States in this race…\n\nWhy? They have WeChat.\n\nTencent Vs. Facebook\n\nWeChat is the number one mega app in China. Via this app, users are able to pay for food, book doctor’s appointments, do their laundry, hail a taxi, browse the internet, order takeout, text with friends, and a whole lot more… WeChat is also being constantly expanded. In addition, this app essentially runs the lives of the average consumers in China. It is extremely efficient and widely adopted. Combined with the number of individuals living in China, WeChat gives tech giant Tencent (the app creator) a MASSIVE advantage over Facebook because of the amount and the quality of data being collected by the app.\n\nIn order to program effective deep learning algorithms, a company needs data. In fact, they need LOTS of data. Furthermore, the better QUALITY the data gathered, the better.\n\nIn the United States, there is not a widely adopted app like WeChat that gives companies an eye into how users are living their daily lives. Although there is plenty of data logging online behavior, there is not so much data in the space of booking doctors, paying for food at the grocery store, ordering at restaurants, and a variety of other uses that WeChat provides. This massive adoption of WeChat has given Tencent eyes into how Chinese consumers are living their lives AND also how they are browsing on the internet. Additionally, given the wide adaptation of this app across the 1.4 billion people living in China, Tencent simply has MORE data in addition to having a higher quality of data.\n\nFacebook is more than aware of this gap in the market.\n\nIn order to win the AI Technology race, Facebook is forced to innovate. This is what is happening here in January 2019 with the announced merger of Messenger, Isntagram, and Whatsapp. Unfortunately, I think it might have happened too slow. Tencent already has such a massive advantage and the gap is widening significantly with every passing month. Chinese entrepreneurs are already jumping on-board the AI technology bandwagon and beginning to innovate quickly while Silicon Valley entrepreneurs struggle to find a way to even begin collecting data at the same level of scale.\n\nInstagram + Facebook + Whatsapp\nCombining Instagram together with Facebook and Whatsapp additionally does not even sound like much of an overhaul…\n\nIndeed, all that Facebook is doing is combining the messenger platforms of these three apps. In other words, Facebook and Instagram will still be separate but a user on Instagram will be able to message a user on Whatsapp and vice versa. Personally, I believe we will see a massive push to get users to begin using these messenger platforms to pay for goods in the same way as apps like the Cash app are able to accomplish. In fact, I would not be surprised if some acquisition was announced where Facebook purchases a company like Cash in order to acquire their data. If Facebook is going to compete with Tencent, they need high-quality data QUICKLY.\n\nWhat will happen here in 2019? It is an interesting time in our world as these mega tech giants begin to square off against each other from across the Pacific Ocean. Together, their combined tech arms-race could evolve our species and re-define the human experience. AI technology is here and we are just getting started implementing it across a wide spectrum of different industries. How do I do it?\"\n\n\"What makes rich people rich? How did they do it?\"\n\nThese questions can drive us crazy... Especially these days, advertisers and fake gurus are jumping on every possible variation of this question \"How can I be successful?\"\n\nHere's the truth:\n\nSuccessful people are the ones who take the paths of trust, love, action, truth and courage.\n\nUnsuccessful people take the paths of fear, doubt, self-sabotage, disbelief, and inaction. \n\nThat's it. \n\nSuccessful people do what they say they will do.\n\nEminem said it best in his track \"Not Afraid\": \n\n\"When I say I'm going to do something, I do it. I don't give a damn what you think.\"\n\nSimple as that.\n\nSuccessful people walk the path of love.\n\nThey care about the world deeply.\n\nThe Top 1% are typically motivated by a goal to contribute.\n\nThey're driven by a need to make the world a better place.\n\n(Obviously there are some exceptions)\n\nWhen a successful person sees an opportunity, they take it.\n\nWhen they get a piece of good advice, they apply it.\n\nWhen something goes wrong, they adjust.\n\nWhen life throws them some tragedy or massive issue in their personal life, they deal with the issue and then get back on their feet. They get back to work.\n\nSuccessful people trust themselves.\n\nThey get an idea in their head and then immediately start to make it real (assuming it's a good idea).\n\nSuccessful people care about their personal development.\n\nThey invest in themselves.\n\nThey invest in their ideas.\n\nThey believe anything is possible. They believe they deserve success.\n\nUnsuccessful people are the opposite.\n\nThey are the ones who never take action.\n\nThey're too afraid.\n\nThey think the world is a dangerous place wherein they can never succeed.\n\nThey don't believe they deserve success.\n\nThey're full of excuses... \"There's no time... \"It won't work\"... \"Other people won't approve\"... \"It's too much energy\"... \"It'll take too long to become successful\"... \"The market is too saturated\"... etc. etc. etc.\n\nEvery excuse is a different version of \"I'm not good enough\".\n\nOf course, many of these beliefs are at the subconscious level.\n\nThe person isn't aware they are holding themselves back.\n\nThey are not aware their minds have become a prison, locking them away from their birthright.\n\nNow, if you find yourself more in line with the \"unsuccessful person\", don't be afraid.\n\nYou can change in an instant.\n\nChange is easier than you think.\n\nAffirmations are a great place to start.\n\nCreate 10 affirmations around your goals and start to write and say them out-loud as often as you can.\n\nNotice the feelings that come up for you when you write and say these words:\n\n\"I am successful\"\n\"I am not afraid\"\n\"I deserve success\"\n\"I achieve my goals\"\n\"I create money\"\n\"I create time\"\n\"There is more than enough time in the day for me to achieve my dreams\"\n\"I overcome obstacles\"\n\"I love myself\"\n\"I am rich in every way\"\n\nEtc. etc.\n\nIf you have some limiting beliefs around these affirmations, they will make themselves known.\n\nYou will identify the thoughts and patterns that are associated with those limiting beliefs.\n\nNow you're staring the problem right in the face.\n\nNow you know how to make a change.\n\nYou have a path forward.\n\nTime to execute.\n\nTime to set aside fear.\n\nTime to achieve your goals.\n\nYour future self is looking at you and praying that you will.\n\nThe people in the world who could benefit from your voice are praying that you find it...
