Search the internet, it is also easy to find mentions of scams and issues associated to the practices of onlyfans: e.g.  https://forensicnews.net/onlyfans-faces-allegations-of-fraud-theft/ etc.\n\nI just encountered such an issue while try to help a friend. It goes to the core of all what is wrong with poorly designed algorithms, AI and automation that is not explainable nor customizable! It reflect either poor design or pure scam! As teh world is getting more automated and delegates to AI, this is exactly what should not happen!\n\nI subscribed to a friend account who I know but had not posted any content on Nov 9: $25. It was just as an encouragement. December 3, I noticed that her account is gone and so is mine. She had no content yet nor other subscribers. When contacting support, I am told an algorithm suspected violation of policy and banned me? How can this be with absolutely no action (no charge back, no transaction, no interaction)? No explanation is provide. No recourse. OF said they would refund if refund was deserved. It has not bene refunded to this date. My friend the content provider has also been banned and as far as i know therefore blocked from creating any (new) account or recovering her accounting. She had posted nothing yet. How can she have been banned? Of course she never received the $25 subscription!\n\nAgain OF claims an algorithm that they cannot explain nor influence or overwrite (+ all data having been wiped out) to justify this and pockets the money. With no opportunity to understand what would be an alleged issue or a way to appeal!\n\nOF provided me with a list of things that could have happened, mentioning: suspicious/fraudulent activity, issuing a chargeback claim, creating multiple profiles, or violating the Acceptable Use Policy in any other way. None of these applied to me or my friend the content provider as neither of us had or have done anything or any transaction on OF ever other than my subscription to her.\n\nIt is a questionable business practice: easy way get money by not honoring refund or clawing back on content money! It should make people think twice before using onlyfans. Alternatively, it seems  that OF uses algorithms faulty and not explaining themselves: a big no no and a clear illustration of biased or non explainable AI.\n\nI would like OF to investigate and restore my account (or rights to create an account) and to the same for the content creator. Otherwise I think that complain to FTC and credit card company is warranted to block them supporting payments to onlyfans 1) for pornography 2) for systematic fraud.\n\nBeware Onlyfans. we recommend avoiding the site or finding competing alternative that are more ethical or better designed!\n\nit is high time to pressure payment processing company to refuse payment for OF services and black list onlyfans.
