The title was very intriguing… In fact, I was initially a bit confused with VASECTOMY, the DIY way?!\n\nWell, I was right in certain way…. Surgical intervention of some sort, not involving the testicles (VASECTOMY), but the Brain (LOBOTOMY).\n\nAccording to Wikipedia, Lobotomy is a form of psychosurgery, a neurosurgical treatment of a mental disorder that involves severing connections in the brain's prefrontal cortex.\n\nThis is indeed, very WOOO (Wisdom out of order)….       "body": "I was viewing the promotional video put up by MindValley on “Awakening the Species” by Neale Donald Walsch. The Founder of MindValley, Vishen Lakhiani, was interviewing Neale about his latest book. During the interview, Neale’s earlier book “Conversions with God” (Volume III) was mentioned. I thought to myself that I came across this title many months ago, but did not pay much attention. I was very impressed with the content of the video and viewed the whole 1-hour video.\n\nWhat happened the very next day was a complete surprise to me. I was browsing at a Chinese bookshop at China Town area, where there was Special Offer section (Discount up to 80%). Just like what was revealed in the video interview, there were many jewels in the book. Fresh insights and familiar statements, comparisons and contrasts etc. As I was reading the Chinese version / translation of the original book, it was natural for me to view the texts in comparison to the I-Ching (Book of Change), in which I can find many parallels, especially the following aspects (amongst many others):\n\n•\tOneness of all things\n•\tDuality give rise to all things\n•\tChange is the only constant\n•\tThe truth is the Dao or Tao\n•\tDao or Tao is the process / relationship rather than the physical things / manifestations\n•\tGod is not a person, a thing or a place, but everything and process\n•\tThe purpose is to have the experience and freedom of choice and evolve from there\n•\tThis is reflection of who we really are... in God’s image\n•\tIt is a never-ending process… there is no death\n•\tThings and processes happen only in the presence…the NOW. \n•\tThe ultimate reality is the overcoming the Duality and achieving Oneness in time and space… the NOW\n\nThis is my simple take and my limited understanding.\n\nIn a somewhat similar incident, I met Jessica Chong who attended my talk on my book THIRD CHOICE. A wide of issues was covered respectively by:\n(1)\tProptech in Real Estate…… by Mr. Lewis\n(2)\t Student Accommodation…. by Ms. Caroline\n(3)\tCo-Living Space in Hong Kong …. By Mr. Denis\n(4)\tCo-Living Community ….. by Luca\n\nThe Panel Discussion that followed was also very enlightening on many relevant issues, such as legal, management and scale of operation, licensing, taxation, ease of conversion etc.\n\nIn fact, a life-cycle of property investment / consumption was even proposed as “from Co-Living (Student Accommodation) to Primary Home (Private Conspicuous Consumption) to Co-Living (Retirees Home) or short-formed as Co-Living 1.0 –Prime Home –Co-Living 2.0. This is very apt as it depicts how Co-living Space and Community could span a person’s life-time\n\nTo my surprise, my book “THIRD CHOICE” (and its supplement on AFFORDABLE HOME: GAME CHANGER) was, by coincidence or epiphany, built around almost identical themes, even including some of the key words used throughout the presentation and Panel Discussion.
