      "body": "<html>\n<h2><strong>A</strong> few days ago, I had a reunion with my ex-coworkers, a good bunch of lads, over the course of the dinner the subject turned to public policy. To be precise the state of education.&nbsp;</h2>\n<p>In education I believe in parents being in the driver seat, and it being in a free market of choice, not the single option given by the state. I live in a socialist province, or in a form of French “dirigiste” mindset, this is the idea where people need to be imposed (nanny state) and decision made for them. I have strong opinions and I am not shy in expressing them. But unfortunately, I suffer from time to time when presented with the “but the poor” type of argument with the stairwell brain effect. This is the effect that after a debate or discussion, the correct answer comes to you after have left and are in the stairwell of the building. Thus, stairwell brain, delayed processing of an argument.</p>\n<p>The discussion was on school choice and the education curriculum being dictated by the ministry of education (in Canada we have ministries not department, basically the same thing), specifically in the force multi-cultural values, cultural values being force fed to kids according to progressive value. My point was that this is the parents to teach these values, not the state, and that school should be teaching subjects (math, science, etc.). And school should be free to offer or not, different value perspective, for example, faith-based, secular, multicultural, or common western Judeo-Christian values, or none at all and leave it to the parent to decide. To my friend, that was not acceptable, because parents could choose badly. Namely a racist would teach his kids racist values. And the state should not permit choice because of that racist.</p>\n<p>My proper answer to this argument came to me after I left the restaurant, namely people will still find ways to choose badly, it should always be their choice in choosing, because overall people will choose better and choose better than the experts at the ministry of education, who could have some of the negative elements he hates.Having choices makes for a better society.</p>\n<p>My answer at the time was along those lines but muddle and not precise.</p>\n<p>I always get caught occasionally by the “but the poor” type of argument, it is an anecdote that will always exist, and improving things should not be stopped by an anecdote. But unfortunately, the mindset here is to level to the lowest common denominator in any policy imposed by the state.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n</html>",

      "body": "<html>\n<p>Thomas Sowell once said</p>\n<blockquote>&nbsp;If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labelled a radical 50 years ago, a liberal 25 years ago and a racist today.&nbsp;</blockquote>\n<p>That was said in 1998 (reference) the window has moved even further left since then. How much has it moved since, well today there is more Marxist in social science than republicans (25% to less than 3%), the MSM media has started to embrace the extreme left talking points, white supremacy, 3rd feminist pay equality (pushing equality of outcome) see Jordan B Peterson vs Cathy Newman on channel 4 to get an idea.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>No matter how much their argument gets batted down, the gate keepers keep pushing the narrative of the extreme left. Being libertarian is now way outside the Overton window. John Kasich the republican Ohio governor, &nbsp;wanting so much to be loved by the media that there is not a position on the left he fully disagrees with, even him is falling outside the Overton window, or almost.</p>\n<p>What does this entail, this means the Overton window is getting to a singularity, putting so many people outside of it, repression is bound to increase. We see some of it with the attacks on the 2nd amendment, and let's not forget the Democrats wanted to modify the 1st amendment to include free speech and their \"bêtes noire\" Citizen united. Basically, it would give the government fewer roadblocks to attack individual rights.</p>\n<p>Just to expand on the citizen united, this is corporate free speech, the logic is corporate entities are allowed to produce without restrictions content that could be relevant to an election. The sound logic was the MSM itself does as much spending during an election pushing a certain message or narrative. Other corporations should not be hamstrung by law, it goes against free speech. Antonin Scalia (majority opinion) was absolutely correct in this.</p>\n<p>The attack on basic rights like the 1st and 2nd is worrisome for things to come, it indicates an authoritarian bend the US is taking. If you want to see some insight into what they are trying to do, look no further than Canada and the UK, where &nbsp;citizens' right to self-defence is all but illegal, free speech is limited &nbsp;(hate speech being illegal, and in the category of hate speech more and more items are added) and in some case compelled. Orwell would be appalled his novel has come to fruition.</p>\n<p>Until the MSM start to reflect more the values of their citizens and stop pushing the regressive left narrative, the marginalization of the majority will continue and may lead to an explosive reaction. If it does not, it would mean either the left lost or the liberty minded individuals will have been subdued, and thus accelerating western civilization destruction.</p>\n</html>",

      "body": "<html>\n<p>&nbsp;Conservative and libertarian seem to be oblivious of the rapidity at which cultural Marxism is spreading, and many seem not to be aware of the danger that is building. &nbsp;The one aspect that worries me, is the targeting of education. From primary school on and more specifically the education department at the universities, forming the next generation of teachers for our children, according to many these departments are infected with this virus, and are hopeless. They are being formed with that nihilist philosophy that wishes to demolish any existing structure it finds in its way, and sort us out in tribes (by race, gender, skin colour, sexual preference, etc., etc.). It goes by many names, <em>3rd wave feminism, cultural Marxism, social justice, postmodernism</em>, etc. going forward I will refer to it simply as <em>postmodernism</em>.</p>\n<p>To understand the impact this will have on our society values, remember Lenin's quote.&nbsp;</p>\n<blockquote>\" Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.\"&nbsp;</blockquote>\n<p>You may think what can be done can be undone, well think again, not with the current displacement leftward of the <em>Overton window</em>. And the tactic of the postmodernist to tag any opposition as <em>alt-right, racist, fascist, etc.,</em> etc., you get the picture. Using these tactics, and the Russian scare of the election being stolen and fake news, they are well on their way to set themselves as the gatekeeper of social media and news in any form possible.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Thus controlling the information, we are in trouble, we are on this site in good part for that reason, fleeing the \"<em><strong>Conform or be punished\"</strong></em> of the social justice warrior media.</p>\n<p>This fight needs to be done in the education department to eradicate this false science, and bold lie, but also at the school board and in the HR departments. Too many key fields in our society are being overtaken with this virus. Heck in my city, there is a giant mural made by an artist paid by the city that displays the following huge text:&nbsp;</p>\n<blockquote>White supremacy kills.</blockquote>\n<p>Primary schools have started to incorporate this in their teaching. White supremacy and <em>postmodernism </em>is a construct taken out of thin air with no empirical data to back it up (for example read <a href=\"http://quillette.com/2018/04/06/lost-social-constructionisms-epistemic-rabbit-hole/\">this</a>). And yet it spreads, helped along by individuals that hate at its core the values of western civilization and the enlightenment.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This, you will find being taught by teachers at every level, and spewed out by journalists, this will bring the next wave of postmodernism.</p>\n<p>Jordan Peterson (if you don't know whom Jordan Peterson check out this interview with Cathy Newman) has done a great job exposing us to this virus. Thanks to his stand against compelled speech (on the state imposing the obligation to speak the preferred pronoun of trans individuals), then followed by the Lindsay Sheppard affair, which thank God seems to have opened the eyes of people around the world. But seeing how fast the postmodernist virus is spreading is it too late?&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Danger lurks, the end game may be like Professor Peterson says, the marginalized white boy, may decide to play the left's game of power and decide they will play to win. You see some of this, Trump and Brexit was a response to this, I am not a fan of Trump but I understand the sentiment that gave him the presidency. It still is rational but getting closer to the point of rage, with each new <strong>conform or be punished</strong> move by the tech giants to these individuals.</p>\n</html>",
