With his background in bioinformatics and big data, Syed will continue to seek development of dApps, utilize AI, robotics, and big data analysis in blockchain technology.\n\nHaley Thomson comes from a finance background and leads EOS Cafe Block as the CFO. Haley is an economist by trade and has worked as an analyst and trader for both large utility companies and hedge funds that specialize in energy marketing and trading.\n\nSwandoyo Hartono is the primary systems engineer and architect of our block producer’s infrastructure. He has extensive past experience in running high-performance computing servers and is carrying out his role as the CTO of EOS Cafe Block by ensuring smooth consistent block production on the EOS network.\n\nStephan Bazhan is the System Administrator who was drawn to EOS by the strong community and the vision of making the world a better place through blockchain technology. He brings an eagerness to learn and innovate to our team.\n\nMaria Cho handles the business development and project management at EOS Cafe Block. With a background in Economics and Risk Management, Maria previously worked with the government under various departments.\n\n# 3. As a node on EOS, what contribution does EOS Cafe Block focus on for the EOS ecosystem?\nOur main vision for EOS is to harness the power of EOS by providing education, infrastructure and decentralized applications to enrich the global EOS ecosystem. Mass adoption is the only way we see EOS playing a vital role in the blockchain industry, and we support this vision by investing back into the ecosystem, fostering dApps, and creating tools to help the community.\n\n# 4. What are the conditions for EOS dApp to be used on a large scale, except for gaming projects, which industries do you think will run out first?\nSince the launch of the mainnet, EOS has seen an influx of gaming dApps, particularly gambling dApps on the platform. Although the success of these dApps are undeniable and have helped create and maintain a user base on EOS, we believe this is only the beginning of development of dApps on EOSIO. We see potential in EOS in multiple industries at an enterprise level with its ability to scale and are exploring different sectors such as supply chain, health data and more.\n\n# 5. What stage is the bloks.io at and what are your plans for scaling up?\nBloks.io is the fastest block explorer for EOS where people can view information about blocks, transactions, accounts, and producers on the EOS blockchain. It also offers wallet functions, voting for BPs, proxies, and referendums, and showcases EOS specific dApps. Bloks.io support multichains such as Jungle and Worbli, with plans to support other future EOSIO chains. We are continuously adding new features and functions, as well as upgrading user interface with community feedback. We have plans to track prices for EOS tokens and create a tool similar to coinmarketcap for EOS. One of the projects that caught the interest of our team was Team Pollinate, who created a delivery system that incentivizes anyone within a city to pick up and deliver packages. It exhibited a real-life use case and the process was well thought out, with an on-stage smooth live demo.\n\nThere are obvious advantages for dApps to be developing on EOSIO, such as no transaction costs and scalability. EOSIO boasts a large community with active technical participants, and dApps should find it promising that block.one has partnered with multiple large profile VCs to support and encourage development on EOS. Any dApps exploring their options for which blockchain platform to choose should consider EOSIO as the top blockchain protocol to develop on.\n\n# 7. What do you think of the role of the community in EOS? What is the impression of EOS Gravity in Canada? What are the recommendations for Gravity?\nWe believe community plays a significant role in spreading EOS to attract more users, dApps, and overall increase interest in EOS worldwide. EOS Gravity is a well-known block producer in the EOS community, and recognized for your significant contribution in building the EOS community in China. It would be great to see EOS Gravity expand this effort globally by utilizing other social media platforms such as Twitter and Telegram and unify the communities all over the globe.\n\n# 8. Can you tell us about the attitude of the Canadian community to EOS? Are there many Canadians working on EOS-related businesses?\nWe have multiple strong EOS Block Producers based out of Canada who are all working determinedly to place EOS at the forefront of blockchain technology in Canada. EOS is still quite relatively foreign to the average Canadian, but as people become more familiar with blockchain and start looking past Bitcoin and Ethereum, we are working to educate individuals and enterprises alike about the potential of the technology in EOSIO. It’s amazing that they come from different countries, have different experiences and occupations, and speak different languages, yet share the same persistence and passion. EOS is so attractive that more people start to understand EOS and what blockchain is.\n\nEOS enthusiasts, researchers, and block producers and candidates have done their best to research and disseminate information related to EOS.\n\nI believe that some readers have read the early versions of the EOS.IO constitution that I drafted, in which I mentioned a very important principle “English only”, and I still believe that mixing multiple languages will bring misunderstanding. Of course, part of the reason is that I’m not as good at other languages as I am at English. So when Dr. Li Wancai told me that his book was finished and hope i can write a preface after reading, my first reaction was “how should I read it” and “how can I understand the content of his book”.\n\nChinese is not a language that can be quickly learned and easily mastered. Its complexity is difficult to describe. Fortunately, Dr. Li’s translation team brought great professionalism and patience.\n\nIn terms of content, I believe you will find this is a very friendly book for EOS enthusiasts and even blockchain watchers. It is a professional book, using the most popular language to express the principles of the EOS system. Even readers who don’t know much about EOS can understand what the book is saying. In terms of actual operation, the development of EOS-based Dapp and EOS-based side chain/competition chain in this book are as detailed as possible, just like a product manual, which enables beginners to get started as soon as possible.\n\nThe book reflects the time and effort Dr. Li Wancai put into writing. How else could he achieve “easy to understand” and “deep content” at the same time? If the principle article is the basis for beginners and the actual practice is the development tutorial section, then the appendix is the high value reference section. What Dr. Li Wancai shows in the appendix is not some exclusive terms or reference websites, but the direction of system optimization of EOS main network. People who are new to EOS are not able to reach the level of thought quickly, and not everyone who develops with EOS can have the depth of thought. Therefore, although this is a book that beginners can understand, Dr. Li Wancai is indeed profound and far-sighted in his cognition and understanding of EOS. From his passionate introduction to EOS principles, you can see his dedication to EOS. If you are deeply passionate about EOS and believe that the future of EOS is infinitely better, then you will gain a lot of soul resonance when reading this book;\n\nFor anyone who needs to read this book, I think far more than EOS enthusiasts, researchers and developers. It should also include blockchain enthusiasts,developers and observers,of course,include people who are curious about new things.\n\nEOS continues to grow and develop every day, and every footprint is accompanied by wonder. The three letters “EOS”, “Daniel Larimer”, “thousands of EOS enthusiasts”, it’s so wonderful and exciting that these words come together.\n\nEveryone has their own beliefs about the role and purpose of technology. But if you want your beliefs to become visible in the world, your success depends on how much you are willing to contribute to the technology and how far it can be advanced by people of faith. Faith is key. And EOS happens to be a belief shared by me and Dr. Wancai li, as well as by EOS enthusiasts.
