Though its popularity in the Western has surged lately, it has been around for thousands of years. The more stressful and busier our lives get, people are drifting away from the 24/7 lifestyle towards a more focused and self aware one that is in the present. According to experts, the benefits of mindfulness include; increased productivity, the ability to switch off the undermining autopilot of daily grind and a soothing rest for the brain.\nThe practice of mindfulness has created a boatload of following ranging from university students to business executives. Indeed it is a way of seeing the world that, with time and patience, can add vitality and productivity to your life. So let’s get started with it already.\n\n\n**Mindfulness**\n\nIt is the awareness arising from paying purposeful attention in the present moment without judgment or bias. If you are new to this practice, it is important for you to understand what it’s not. \nMindfulness is a way of life. It is not limited to the practice of mindfulness meditation of sitting in silence without any thoughts; rather it best works when shared with others. Researches have linked mindful leaders to happier employees. One reason is that a leader’s mindful trait will positively influence his/her employees and produce astounding results in the overall work culture.\nMindfulness for me began as a meditation process. But with more research I got better understanding and application of meditation. \nBoth mindfulness and meditation are used interchangeably but they are different practices with the aim of accessing the inner peace that resides within. While mindfulness deals with accessing your outer world, meditation focuses on the inner world.\nIn a world obsessed with multitasking, we pay diverging attention without being fully focused. It is important to being aware of what you are doing when you are doing it; this can set your life on a different pedestal than being on autopilot.\nHere are the 5 amazing tips you should take action on in your daily life.\n\n\n\n\n**1 BE GRATEFUL**\nThe practice of gratitude each morning as against being obsessed with your to-do list propels you from a reactive state of being anxious and worried to being aware of the present blessing of our lives and the people in it. Mindfulness is a way to do this. \nUsually it is easy to take life for granted until we are confronted with a challenge that reminds us of the importance of being alive. People with near death experiences understand this and its why they live each day like it’s their last.\nGratitude has helped me in very difficult situations in my life. Since I learnt this practice from my father, I have realized that there is always something to be grateful for. Give thanks everyday and you’ll be surprised at how transforming it can be.\n\n\n\n\n\n**2 ACCESS YOUR SENSES** \n  Do you notice how much time we spend living in our heads. We are either analyzing past or future events that we have no control over. This inner critic in our heads drains energy and bar us from being alive in the present moment. \nBeing in the present is setting yourself lose and dropping into your heart. How? Simply connect with your body. When you access all of your senses, you are in tune with pure intelligence. We slowly drift away from our worries into being alive in our bodies.\nThe beat of your heart, the sound of your breath and the feel of your flesh helps you connect with your mind thereby experiencing the true feeling of living in the moment. You really need to access this part of your bodies to fully grasp the importance.\n\n\n\n\n\n**3 NOTICE YOUR THOUGHTS**\nPeople think of mindfulness as control or obliteration of thoughts. This is far from true. This can also drive to frustration and giving up on mindfulness. Practically, it is easier for thoughts to slip in by trying to not allow them.\nYour job is to notice and observe them(thoughts) as they come and go without being attached to them. What matters is your response to the world around you. The only control we have is over our inner world not the external world. Thus living mindfully means we let life move while we control our inner world by responding to life challenges.\n\n\n\n\n\n**4 BREATHE DEEPLY**\nMany people breathe shallowly because they are always in a constant state of stress and anxiety. How can you live life fully when you don’t even know how to breathe properly? \nSince deep breathing requires focusing on the moment, it inadvertently helps to quiet your thoughts. Inhalation kicks of the awareness process in your body. When you exhale, consciously forfeit all thoughts that are not beneficial to you. Breathe is the sign of live. When you breathe well, you relieve stress and approach life from a practical and strong point.\n\n\n\n\n**5 Adopt Simplicity**\nWhen we adopt a minimalist approach to life, we focus on the  most important things thus channeling our attention to the present moment. By being simple, we free our inner and outer world to encourage us to be mindful. \nYou focus should be on the journey of living rather than obsessing yourself with the overall outcome. It is a relentless strife to learn from past errors, consolidate past successes, uncover new benchmarks and tackle emerging challenges. It is best when there is a roadmap to guide and a bound to keep things together. That gives foresight and registers a reference for future operations so that the present consult the antecedent before an elaboration of future plans. But where there is neither a plan nor a strong bound, it does not necessarily dissolve into nonexistence, not if there is a strong will for its survival. Plans can be drawn and bounds unveiled to establish its paths to great heights but there must be a vision and then stability. \nBuhari’s second coming was predictably accompanied by a backlash. Though he is constitutionally eligible and has support of friends and family who regard his health than any average Nigerian, he had promised just a term in office and the opposition are projecting the dark horizon in security to buttress their positions. While the fact of insecurity cannot be jettisoned, the Nigerian people must consider carefully what viable alternatives are available. An ex-convict, youths or statesmen soiled in corruption allegation? A more comprehensive list will emerge with time but the state of our nation will remain unchanged if we don’t learn from past errors and consolidate past successes; if we do not leap for stability in governance.\nOne problem that permeates political and public terrains in Nigeria is the lack of absolution. There is always a problem in leadership which in effect create a vacuum that successive administrations widen, contributing their quota to an endless vicious cycle. The thirst to replace the incumbent does not bring annihilation but an extension of the cycle’s longevity. So Buhari has chosen an internationally acclaimed course of action to tackle corruption and we owe our union the benefit of a doubt to allow him to run it through. In this light, we cannot disparage his administration as one without a gleam of hope. The introduction of BVN and TSA policy implementation are good innovations, the Nigerian foreign reserve has since boomed, inflation is at its lowest in 4 years, recession is bygone and agriculture is yielding. These are inescapable doubts for any judge/jury to acquit an accused.\nAs Nigerians we must understand that our situation is an accumulation of 104 years of mistakes that cannot all be rectified in 4 years. A particular mistake is in leadership and it is totally unacceptable when the likes of Obasanjo, Babangida and Falae feign patriotism and erect a stumbling block against someone trying undo their misdeeds. Their charade begs the question of what particular sacrifice they’ve made for Nigeria. Nigerians have indulged their lifestyles and furnished their coffers, but on matters such as this, they do not deserve an audience. And if Buhari is risking his health for stability in in governance, we must at least reckon his efforts as laudable.\nThe Americans, who preconditioned our democratic destiny, maintain a conventional 8 years term of office for their presidents. The rationale is not farfetched, with new administrations there are set benchmarks and unforeseen setbacks. The dignity in representation is according a tackling chance for these challenges. Until all is expended, a government cannot be tainted a failure. The mechanics of democracy vest much not all power in the President, so even with a strong will there is only little to compel the compliance of other organs in governance. Except there is a total overhaul of the system, procedures will occasion delays; these delays are not necessarily denials.\nOn restructuring, the president is right. Restructuring is the dark loom that will herald a shattered Nigeria and we must expel it. The idea of having three nations in one country is the prelude to the dissolution of that country. Regional governments served their purposes in the 1st & 2nd republics. The Nigerian identity was not fully crystallized so the three regions worked effectively at different fronts to integrate the country. To a degree it served its purpose but we cannot revert to that system without risking dissolution. The problem of governance cannot be solved by complicating government but by right apportionment of power to the existing ones (tiers of government). The scopes of both concurrent and residual lists should be elaborated to entrench state and local government autonomy. Issues such as state policing will suffice in this regard but essentially a more accountable grassroot government should be empowered. The bound that binds Nigeria is the Federal government but if it is stifled, the Nigeria spirit will be utterly quenched. It is for this the constitution has affirmed the indissolubility of the Nigerian state, a problem that has in contemporary times plagued European and African countries.\nNigeria comes first and our fate rests not on stratifying our regions but on entrenching a common sense of purpose and enlivening the Nigerian spirit. This national identity must soar high beyond any ethnic inclinations, it must permeate both public and political institutions or our union will unravel like the Western powers predicted. But it must start from the foundations, as Nigerians we must decide our fate from effective grassroot representation and work it up. Many of our problems are within the purview of the state and local government. These are the proper fronts from which to channel our grievances and a champion our national destiny.\nUndoubtedly, it behooves on the Federal government to empower both state and local government, preserve its identity and entrench its character and democracy in its true sense. Any democratic nation thrives on the strength of its law and law givers. Nigeria, in this case, is still a farcry from effective law enforceability, the national assembly is ignorant of its true purpose and the end is an unsteady judiciary. But there is hope if our bound is unbroken, there is hope if the electorate unseat all self-serving legislators, there is hope if we leap for stability.",

I'm here to represent the interests of the America people and affirm America's friendship and partnership in building a better world.\n\nLike all nations represented at this great forum, America hopes for a future which everyone can prosper and every child can grow up free from violence, poverty, and fear. Over the past year, we have made extraordinary strides in the U.S. We're lifting up forgotten communities, creating exciting new opportunities, and helping every American find their path to the American dream. The dream of a great job, a safe home and a better life for their children.\n\nAfter years stagnation the nights is once again experiencing strong economic growth. The stock market is smashing one record after another, and has added more than $7 trillion in new wealth since my election. Consumer confidence, business confidence, and manufacturing confidence are the highest that they have been in many decades.\n\nSince my election we've created 2.4 million jobs and that number is going up very, very substantially. Small business optimism is at an all-time high. New unemployment claims are near the lowest we've seen in almost half a century. African-American unemployment reached the lowest rate ever recorded in the United States and so has unemployment among Hispanic-Americans.\n\nThe world is witnessing the resurgence of a strong and prosperous America. I'm here to deliver a simple message. There has never been a better time to hire, to build, to invest and to grow in the united States. America is open for business and we are competitive once again. The American economy is by far the largest in the world and we've just enacted the most significant tax cuts and reform in American history. We've massively cut taxes for the middle class, and small businesses to let working families keep more of their hard earned money.\n\nWe lowered our corporate tax rate from 35 percent all the way down to 21 percent. As a result, millions of workers have received tax cut bonuses from their employers in amounts as large as $3,000. The tax cut bill is expected to raise the average American's household income by more than $4,000. The world's largest company, apple, announced it plans to bring $245 billion in overseas profits home to America. Their total investment into the United States economy will be more than $350 billion over the next five years. Now is the perfect time to bring your business, your jobs, and your investments to the United States.\n\nThis is especially true because we have undertaken the most extensively regulatory reduction ever conceived. Regulation is stealth taxation. The U.S. Like many other countries unelected bureaucrats, we have, believe me, we have them all over the place, and they have imposed crushing and anti-business and anti-worker regulations on our citizens with no vote, no legislative debate, and no real accountability. In America those days are over. I pledged to eliminate two unnecessary regulations for everyone new regulation. We have succeeded beyond our highest expectations. Instead of two for one, we have cut 22 burdensome regulations for everyone new rule. We are freeing our businesses and workers so they can thrive and flourish as never before. We are creating an environment that attracts capital, invites investment, and rewards production. As president of the United States I will always put America first just like the leaders of other countries should put their country first also. But America first does not mean America alone. When the United States grows, so does the world. American prosperity has created countless jobs all around the globe and the drive for excellence, creativity, and innovation in the U.S. Has led to important discoveries that help people everywhere live more prosperous and far healthier lives.\n\nAs the United States pursues domestic reforms to unleash jobs and growth, we are also working to reform the international trading system so that it promotes broadly-shared prosperity and rewards to those who pray -- play by the rules. We cannot have free and open trade if some countries exploit the system at the expense of others. We support free trade but it needs to be fair and it needs to be reciprocal because in the end unfair trade undermines us all. The United States will no longer turn a blind eye to unfair economic practices including massive intellectual property theft, industrial subsidies, and pervasive state-led economic planning.\n\nThese and other predatory behaviors are distorting the global markets and harming businesses and workers not just in the U.S. But around the globe. Just like we expect the leaders of other countries to protect their interests, as president of the United States, I will always protect the interests of our country, our companies, and our workers. We will enforce our trade laws and restore integrity to our trading system. Only by insisting on fair and reciprocal trade can we create a system that works not just for the U.S., but for all nations.\n\nAs I have said, the United States is prepared to negotiate mutually beneficial, bilateral trade agreements with all countries. This will include the countries within TPP, which are very important. We have agreements with several of them already. We would consider negotiating with the rest either individually or perhaps as a group if it is in the interests of all. My administration is also taking swift action in other ways to restore American confidence and independent. We are lifting self-imposed restrictions on energy production to provide affordable power to our citizens and businesses and to promote energy security for our friend all around the world. No country should be held hostage to a single provider of energy. America is roaring back and now is the time to invest in the future of America.\n\nWe have dramatically cut taxes it make America competitive. We are eliminating burdensome regulations at a record pace. We are reforming the bureaucracy to make it lean, responsive and accountable and we are insuring our laws are enforced fairly. We have the best colleges and universities in the world and we have the best workers in the world. Energy is an abundant and affordable. There is never been a better time to do business in America. We are also making historic investments in the American military because we cannot have prosperity without security. To make the world safer from rogue regimes, terrorism and revisionist powers, we're asking our friend and allies to invest in their own defenses and to meet their financial obligations. Our common security requires everyone to contribute their fair share.\n\nMy administration is proud to have led historic efforts at the united nations security council and all around the world to unite all civilized nations in our campaign of maximum pressure to de-nuke the Korean peninsula. We continue to call on partners to confront Iran's support for terrorists and block Iran's path to a nuclear weapon. We're also working with allies and partners to destroy jihad it terrorist organizations such as ISIS and very successfully so. The nights is leading a very, very broad coalition to deny terrorists control of their territory and populations, to cut off their funding and to discredit their wicked ideology. I am pleased to the support that the coalition to defeat ISIS has retaken almost 100% of the territory once held by these killers in Iraq and Syria. There is still more fighting and worked to be done. And to consolidate our gains. We are committed to insuring that Afghanistan never again become as safe haven for terrorists who want to commit mass murder to our civilian populations.\n\nI want to thank those nations represented here today that have joined in these crucial efforts. You are not just securing your own citizens but saving lives and restoring hope for millions and millions of people. When it comes to terrorism we will do whatever is necessary to protect our nation. We will defend our citizens and our borders. We are also securing our immigration system as a matter of both national and economic security. America is a cutting-edge economy but our immigration system is stuck in the past.\n\nWe must replace our current system of extended family chain migration with a merit-based system of admissions that selects new arrivals based on their ability to contribute to our economy, to support themselves financially, and to strengthen our country.\n\nIn rebuilding America we are also fully committed to developing our workforce. We are lifting people from dependence to Independence because we know the single-best anti-poverty program is a very simple and very beautiful paycheck. To be successful it is not enough to invest in our economy.\n\nWe must invest in our people. When people are forgotten the world becomes fractured. Only by hearing and responding to the voices of the forgotten can we create a bright future that is truly shared by all. The nation's greatness is more than the sum of its production and a nation's greatness is the sum of its citizens, the values, pride, love, devotion and character of the people who call that nation home.\n\nFrom my first international G-7 summit to the g20, to the U.N.
