The question is: Why now?\n\nThe calendar may provide a clue. Thursday is July 1, the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party. It is at least plausible that Chinese authorities would send a strong warning to the crypto industry in the weeks leading up to this big day.\n\nThis theory is already circulating around Chinese crypto circles, at least privately. But those familiar with China will recognize the tense solemnity that leads up to these kinds of events, which may be accompanied by crackdowns on activity that the government views as a threat to shehui wending, or social stability. It’s a pride thing. They want to clean up the mess before July 1.” Lee likened it to having to tidy up your bedroom before your father’s birthday party.\n\nThe anniversary is a tightly choreographed event in which disruptions are clearly not welcome. The recent crackdown includes shutting down mining and instructing banks to stay away from crypto. China’s moves sent bitcoin’s price plummeting, at least temporarily. The last time China really spooked the global crypto market was in 2017, when it shut down exchanges and banned initial coin offerings. It’s worth noting that China ordered exchanges to shut down in September of that year, shortly before National Day on Oct. 1, which marks the founding of the People’s Republic of China.\n\n‘Protector of society’\n\nThis phenomenon is not limited to crypto. In 2018, The Wall Street Journal reported on authorities intervening to keep the stock market steady in the lead-up to the National People’s Congress. One investor told the WSJ his broker told him the Shenzhen stock exchange had deemed his transactions too “disruptive” during a politically sensitive time. \n\n“The word from the exchange was that my trades were too large and too frequent, and I was told it was all because of the National People’s Congress,” the investor said. \n\nThe crypto market is notoriously volatile and vulnerable to scams, and Chinese retail investors have been burned by new, unstable industries. The 2018 collapse of the peer-to-peer lending market led to massive financial losses, protests and even death. \n\n“Crypto has grown relatively rapidly in China, it could grow even more,” said Zennon Kapron, founder of Kapronasia, a fintech research and consulting firm. One of the lessons authorities learned from the P2P lending crisis is that “they didn’t stop it soon enough,” Kapron said. “Many retail investors lost a significant amount of money.” \n\nThere is another reason why the government might be so concerned about the plight of retail investors. In countries like the U.S., generally speaking, individual investors wouldn’t necessarily fault the government for their losses. This isn’t the case in China, at least according to Lee. \n\n“When people in China lose money, they blame the government. The government serves the role of a protector of society. Government’s role is to make sure everything is orderly and safe. Anything that goes wrong, it’s the government’s role to fix it.”\n\nWhich brings us back to social stability. The last thing the Chinese government needs is for a flash-in-the-pan coin to implode, leading angry investors to take to the streets. Mass protests of any kind, whether against the government, a crypto project or an exchange, represent just the kind of unrest that Beijing wants to avoid, especially before a high-profile political event.\nCapital controls\n\nBut while July 1 may help explain the timing of the crypto crackdown, it’s not the only reason for it. Key political dates may largely serve as catalysts for actions that the government is already contemplating.\n\nYifan He, CEO of Red Date Tech and executive director of BSN, China’s government-supported blockchain project, believes capital controls are a key factor in the crackdown. China only allows individuals to move a maximum of $50,000 out of the country each year, and cryptocurrency could help people circumvent that restriction. \n\nHe said one reason China can print money without creating major inflation is because it has foreign reserves of over $3 trillion. “If a lot of people are moving money outside China, that actually has an impact on the reserve.”\n\nAnother key timing factor may be the bull market of 2021, during which bitcoin continuously soared to new highs. “More and more Chinese people get involved in crypto trading, so it becomes a threat to the government,” He said. The main reason for the crackdown, He said, is “the rapid growth of the total users of cryptocurrency in China in the past 6 months.”\n\nHe said that while China’s stance on crypto has not really changed, the actions are stronger this time. “All the mining will be gone.       "body": "Βίζιτες στην Μύκονο\n\nΠηγή: [ToraTora](https://toratora.gr/mykonos-araves-kai-vizites-poy-na-pigainan-stin-tino-gia-proskynima/)\n\nΜε έκπληξη το φιλοθεάμον κοινό πριν λίγες μέρες βρέθηκε απέναντι στη φοβερή αποκάλυψη ότι στη Μύκονο λειτουργούσε κύκλωμα με… βίζιτες. Αν δεν ήταν τα ναρκωτικά που συμπλήρωναν το παζλ, θα με πιάναν τα γέλια για την ανακάλυψη. Στα ντραγκς γίνεται ζόρι η δουλειά. Άλλου παπά ευαγγέλια, αλλά αυτό το αφήνω για άλλη φορά.\n\nΦέτος ειδικά η Μύκονος ήταν τίγκα στη βίζιτα. Αν θυμάστε στο προηγούμενο άρθρο περί Μυκόνου έλεγα ότι φέτος δεν υπήρχαν Έλληνες και ότι το νησί έπηξε στον Άραβα και τον Λιβανέζο. Όχι ότι κουράστηκαν οι Ινδοί, αλλά το μουσουλμανικό στοιχείο κυριαρχούσε παντού. Με αυτό δεν θέλω να αθωώσω τους Έλληνες βυζιτόβιους, αλλά φέτος έγινε μαζική εισαγωγή βίζιτας για την κάλυψη των αναγκών που παρουσιάστηκαν με την αύξηση του ποσοστού των εξ Ανατολών τουριστών. Δεν ξέρω πόσες ήταν σε οργανωμένο δίκτυο, αλλά υπήρχαν και δεκάδες ελευθέρας βοσκής στις δυο, κυρίως, κυριλάτες παραλίες. (Έλα, ξέρετε ποιες είναι…)\nΠανέμορφες Ρωσίδες ψάχνουν χορηγό στην Μύκονο\n\nΜύκονος βίζιτες Ρωσίδες\n\nΤα μάτια των παπαράτσι αλλά και του φίλου μου Πέτρου Νάζου, του Mykonos Live TV είχαν πεταχτεί έξω με διάφορα αλλοδαπά εργαλεία που κατέκλυσαν τις παραλίες. Πολλές από αυτές τις κυρίες τις είδατε να παρελαύνουν κι από τις ιστοσελίδες. Η βίζιτα 90% φαίνεται, δεν κρύβεται. Για να αφήσει καλοκαιριάτικα το Μονακό, την Ίμπιζα και το Σεν Τροπέ πρέπει να διαθέτει κυβικά τέτοια που αν μη τι άλλο θέλεις να το ψωνίσεις το “όχημα” με το που παρουσιαστεί στην έκθεση της παραλίας. Κάνει Τοποθέτηση Προϊόντος, πάντα στην παραλία, για να αποδείξει τη γνησιότητα των παρεχομένων υπηρεσιών, αλλά και των προσόντων. Πρώτα βλέπεις, μετά ψωνίζεις. Δεν παίρνεις γουρούνι στο σακί, όπως κάποιοι μαλάκες με το Internet, που παραγγέλνουν Καρντάσιαν και τους έρχεται πατσαβούρα της παραλιακής.\n\nΤο Μονακό είναι το βασίλειο της βίζιτας\n\nΤο Μονακό κυρίως είναι το βασίλειο της βίζιτας. Όπου και να πας βλέπεις απίστευτες κουκλάρες, κυρίως από το πρώην ανατολικό μπλοκ, να κυκλοφορούν με απίστευτα φιρμάτα ρούχα, με ωραίο στυλ και με αμάξια που στην φθηνότερη τους εκδοχή είναι Porsche. Εκεί βέβαια υπάρχουν και οι Ρώσοι ολιγάρχες και οι παρατρεχάμενοι τους που είναι ιστορικά οι φίλοι της πουτάνάς, οι Χριστόφοροι Κολόμβοι της Βίζιτας. Οι Βραζιλιάνες τα χαλάνε λίγο στο Μονακό που ακόμα δεν έχουν μάθει το dress code που διαφοροποιεί την πουτάνα από τους δρόμους του Ρίο με τη βίζιτα του βασιλείου των Μονεγάσκων. Εγώ πιστεύω ότι μετά τις τράπεζες, η δεύτερη βιομηχανία στο Μόντε Κάρλο είναι οι βίζιτες.\n\n\nΦέτος όμως έγινε το έλα να δεις. Κουτσές, στραβές στον Άγιο Παντελεήμονα. Τις έβλεπες και στο καράβι και στο αεροπλάνο. Μίνι ή ξέκωλο σορτς, χρυσαφικά παντού, σε χέρια, σε λαιμό, σαν την Παναγιά της Τήνου ήταν στολισμένες, λεοπάρ, φούξια κορμάκια, βαμμένες μέρα – νύχτα και μαγιό που δεν έπρεπε να μοιάζουν με τα μαγιό των υπόλοιπων κοινών θνητών γυναικών. Άλλο σκισμένο τζιν, άλλο αράχνη, άλλο σκέτο κορδόνι για να κόβει τυρί, και βέβαια Αγγλικά με την προφορά του Μπόρατ. Και βέβαια η τσάντα και το παπούτσι σήμα κατατεθέν. Οι Luis Vuitton φαίνονταν τσίπικες μπροστά στις 200 παραλλαγές της Birkin, τις Hermes, και βεβαίως στις 12ποντες πλατφόρμες Jimmy Choo και pip toe Louboutin. Υποψιάζομαι ότι πολλές ήταν μαιμούδες, αλλά βίζιτα που σέβεται τον εαυτό της χωρίς τσάντα φιρμάτη δεν υπάρχει.\n\n\nΑπ΄ό,τι διάβαζα στα credits των φωτογραφιών στα sites, όλα τα κορίτσια από Ουκρανία, Ρωσία, Μολδαβία, Ρουμανία τράβαγαν το ενδιαφέρον των παπαράτσι. Όχι ότι δεν υπήρχαν και δικές μας. Αλλά ήταν μια στάλα μπροστά στο εισαγόμενο. Αυτές τελικά πούλαγαν και περισσότερο απ΄ότι οι λίγοι και δεύτερης διαλογής ντόπιοι celebrities που έσκασαν στη Μύκονο. Μου το είχε πει παλιά ο μεγάλος Ζάχος Χατζηφωτίου με το δικό του υπέροχο τρόπο (όχι με τη δική μου φρασεολογία βέβαια…), 1988 πρέπει να ήταν, μου λέει “Πέτρο η γενιά σου είναι άτυχη, γιατί υπάρχει το Σιδηρούν Παραπέτασμα. Οι πιο ωραίες γυναίκες είναι από την Αν. Ευρώπη. Αυτές ήταν οι ωραιότερες αρτίστες στη δεκαετία του ’40 και του ’50. Μετά τις μπλόκαραν οι κομμουνιστές και δεν μπορούν να φύγουν. Μόλις πέσει το Τείχος, τότε θα δείτε κουκλάρες”. Εντάξει, μην τις βγάλουμε κι όλες τις γυναίκες πουτάνες, διότι ο πλανήτης είπε ξαφνικά και κάτι θεές σαν την Ιρίνα Σάικ, την Βοντιάνοβα, την Κιριλένκο και δεκάδες άλλες που δεν έχουν σχέση με το σπορ, αλλά έχουν τσακίσει τις πασαρέλες με αμοιβές από 1 ως 20 εκατομμύρια δολάρια τη χρονιά. Πολιτικό ήταν το μήνυμα του Ζάχου τελικά, στο βάθος. Με το που έπεσε το Τείχος τα είδαμε όλα.\n\nΗ βίζιτα πάει Ελλάδα και Μύκονο\n\nΑλλά ας ξαναγυρίσουμε στο θέμα μας. Η βίζιτα πάει Μύκονο. Παράλογο; Η βίζιτα είναι σαν την ροζέ σαμπάνια Krug. Πάει κατευθείαν στα χέρια πλουσίων και νεόπλουτων. Θέλουμε δεν θέλουμε, τα χοντρά λεφτά, από Λονδίνο μέχρι Μύκονο, είναι πια στα χέρια Ρώσων, Λιβανέζων, Ινδών και κυρίως Αράβων. Α, και πολλών Τούρκων. Ευτυχώς ή δυστυχώς, όλοι οι προηγούμενοι δεν πάνε ούτε Φολέγανδρο, ούτε Σίκινο για ψάρεμα και απομόνωση και alternative μπαράκια. Πάει όπου υπάρχουν sex,drugs and αμανές. Άμα ακούσετε τη μουσική που παίζουν κάποια χλιδάτα μαγαζιά στη Μύκονο, τουρκοχαουζοντίσκο και αμανοφανκ, αφού πρώτα πάθετε ένα σοκ ότι μπορεί να βρίσκεστε σε άλλη χώρα, θα καταλάβετε αμέσως ποιοι τα ακουμπάνε. Κι ως γνωστόν όποιος πληρώνει γαμεί. Το μαγαζί, τη βίζιτα, ό,τι κάτσει εν πάσει περιπτώσει. Αν δεν έχεις λεφτά μπορεί να καταλήξεις σαν ένα άφραγκο Πακιστανό, βοηθό μάγειρα, που είχε πηδήξει τον Πέτρο τον Πελεκάνο μέσα στη στέρηση και τον πέθανε πριν χρόνια!!!\n\nΟι βίζιτες πρέπει να έχουν δικό τους application στο app store. Με το που δουν ένα μέρος τίγκα στις παραπάνω ράτσες, στέλνουν αμέσως ειδοποίηση προς όλα τα μέλη της ομοσπονδίας. Δεν εξηγείται αλλιώς πως μετά το τέλος του Ραμαζανίου που οι Μουσουλμάνοι απέχουν από πολλά πράγματα, έσκασαν στη Μύκονο σαν τις ορδές των βαρβάρων, κατά κύματα. Το περίεργο; Το βράδυ δεν τις βλέπεις, σχεδόν καθόλου, εκτός από σπάνιες περιπτώσεις. Κάποιες της ελευθέρας βοσκής. Φαίνεται ότι η δουλειά αρχίζει νωρίς το βράδυ, σε κανά χλιδάτο εστιατόριο και μετά κατευθείαν μεροκάματο. Όμως στα απογευματινά πάρτι η βίζιτα θερίζει πάνω στα τραπέζια, λικνιζόμενη σα χαπακωμένη (τύφλα πρέπει να είναι) με χαουζοαμανέδες, κι οι από κάτω να τη χύνουν με… σαμπάνιες. Οι υπερασπιστές της στην Ελλάδα θα έλεγαν “πού να προλάβουμε να βρούμε ωραίες γκόμενες σε δέκα μέρες”. Εγώ πάλι λέω ότι είναι βίτσιο, παράγωγο του γρήγορου, εύκολου και μπόλικου χρήματος. που σου καίει τον εγκέφαλο. Έβλεπα χθες το βράδυ στο Mega ένα βραβευμένο με Όσκαρ ντοκιμαντέρ, το Inside Job, γύρω από τους χρηματιστές και την παγκόσμια κρίση που προκάλεσε η Lehmann Brothers. Όλα αυτά τα στελέχη που έβγαζαν εκατομμύρια σε μπόνους για να κλέψουν τους πελάτες τους, γέμιζαν μεσημέρι βράδυ τα πολυτελή μπουρδέλα γύρω από τη Wall Street. Τίγκα στη βίζιτα, την κόκαίνη και τα ακριβά αυτοκίνητα και τζετ ήταν το σύστημα. Στην τρέλα ήταν όλοι και μετά γύρναγαν σαν συντηρητικοί χρηματιστές και στελέχη τραπεζών στην οικογένεια τους που πάντα την εγκαθιστούσαν στα χλιδάτα περίχωρα της Νέας Υόρκης, ώστε να είναι ελεύθεροι στα διαμερίσματα που νοίκιαζαν για την πάρτη τους, στην Park Avenue. Γύρω στα 3.5 δισεκατομμύρια, άκουσα να λένε στο ντοκιμαντέρ, ήταν ο τζίρος αυτής της βιομηχανίας “διασκέδασης” για τους ανθρώπους της Wall Street!!!\n\nΤώρα και για να εκφράσω και λίγο την αντίπερα όχθη, μια παλιά μου φίλη, πριν δεκαετίες, που το δούλευε το επάγγελμα, μέσα σε ένα μπαρ στην Πατησίων, μου είχε πει ότι δεν αισθάνεται περισσότερο πουτάνα από μία που βρήκε κάποιον κακοφορμισμένο πλούσιο να της τα αγοράζει όλα, και να παριστάνει κι από πάνω την ερωτευμένη. Διανοούμενη πρέπει να ήταν. Γιατί απ΄ότι είδα μια από τις πιονέρους φεμινίστριες, και αναρχοκομμουνίστρια, η Έμμα Γκόλντμαν είχε πει κάποτε ότι “για τους ηθικολόγους η πορνεία δεν συνίσταται στο γεγονός ότι η γυναίκα πουλάει το κορμί της, αλλά ότι το πουλάει εκτός γάμου”.       "body": "Narcos: Plata o plomo\n\nΠηγή: ToraTora [ToraTora](https://toratora.gr/narcos-giati-me-ton-carlos-escobar-eheis-dio-epiloges-plata-o-plomo/)\n\nΟ Πάμπλο Εσκομπάρ φαίνεται πως είναι το νέο παιχνίδι στον τομέα της μυθοπλασίας και αυτό άλλοτε είναι κακό και άλλοτε καλό. Στην περίπτωση του Paradise Lost με τον Μπενίσιο Ντελ Τόρο δεν ήταν και τόσο καλό. Στην περίπτωση του Sicario που δεν είναι Εσκομπάρ, αλλά είναι τα ναρκωτικά και η Κολομβία δείχνει να είναι πολύ καλό. Το ντοκιμαντέρ Two Escobars του ESPN που περπατούσε στα χνάρια της πορείας του Πάμπλο και του Αντρές Εσκομπάρ ήταν συγκλονιστικό.\n\nΤο Narcos δεν είναι και για standing ovation, αλλά έχει δομικά στοιχεία που κάνουν μια σειρά που εκ πρώτης όψεως μοιάζει σαν απλή σύνθεση ιστορικών γεγονότων λες και παίρνεις μπουλετάκια και τα χώνεις σε κείμενο, δραματουργικά δυνατή, με υποκριτικό υπόβαθρο και που εν τέλει σε κρατάει εκεί και σε κάνει να θες να τελειώσεις τα 10 επεισόδια του πρώτου κύκλου μέσα σε μια μέρα.\n\n\nΠρόκειται για μια σειρά που όταν την έβγαλε on air το Netflix πέρασε λίγο στα ψιλά, αλλά μετά από 3 επεισόδια έγινε talk of the town. Όλα ξεκινούν από την στιγμή που ο Πάμπλο αντιλήφθηκε τη δύναμη που μπορούσαν να του αποφέρουν τα ναρκωτικά, μέχρι την στιγμή της απόλυτης κατάρρευσης του. Αυτή τουλάχιστον προσδοκούμε να δούμε στον δεύτερο κύκλο.  [Netflix Narcos series](https://medium.com/@panayotiskontogiannis/%CE%BC%CF%8D%CE%BA%CE%BF%CE%BD%CE%BF%CF%82-%CE%AC%CF%81%CE%B1%CE%B2%CE%B5%CF%82-%CE%BA%CE%B1%CE%B9-%CE%B2%CE%AF%CE%B6%CE%B9%CF%84%CE%B5%CF%82-110323bcf5ce)\n\nΣε μια εποχή πολύ μακρινή, όταν οι ΗΠΑ είχαν πολύ πιο έντονη και κυριαρχική παρουσία στις χώρες της Λατινικής Αμερικής και φρόντιζαν ώστε να μην υπάρχει περιθώριο ανάδυσης του κομμουνισμού και να ελέγχουν τι κινείται από και προς τα σύνορα τους με το Μεξικό.\n\nΈνας Χιλιανός έμπορος ναρκωτικών βλέπει τον Πινοσέτ να συλλαμβάνει τους πάντες και να τον στήνει στο εκτελεστικό απόσπασμα μαζί με τους υπαλλήλους του. Η σφαίρα που τον πετυχαίνει δεν τον σκοτώνει και αποφασίζει να εγκαταλείψει τη Χιλή και να μεταφέρει τη μπίζνα αλλού. Στην Κολομβία. Εκεί οι επιλογές του είναι τρεις: ο Γκάτσα, γνωστός λαθρέμπορος που έχει την τάση να γαζώνει τους συνεργάτες του, οι αδερφοί Οτσόα που είναι πολύ μαλθακοί για το σχέδιο του, και ο Πάμπλο με τον Γκουστάβο που έχουν όραμα και εμπνέουν φόβο και σεβασμό.\n\n\nΤεράστιο δίκτυο ναρκωτικών στην Κολομβία\n\nΑπό εκεί αρχίζει να αναπτύσσεται ένα τεράστιο δίκτυο που περιλαμβάνει πληρωμένους μπάτσους, πιλότους, αεροσυνοδούς, υπαλλήλους αεροδρομίου, δημοσιογράφους, πολιτικούς και διαμεσολαβητές στο Μαϊάμι, όπου το χρήμα ρέει άφθονο και ταξιδεύει προς το Μεντεγίν, την πόλη που φτιάχνει την αυτοκρατορία του ο Εσκομπάρ. Τα 5 δισεκατομμύρια που βγάζει κάθε χρόνο ο Πάμπλο δεν του είναι αρκετά. Το όνειρο του είναι άλλο. Να γίνει ηγέτης της χώρας. Δυστυχώς όμως γι΄αυτόν υπάρχουν άνθρωποι που δεν θα υποταχθούν στο χρήμα και τον εκφοβισμό του.\n\nPlata o Plomo, δηλαδή ασήμι ή μολύβι είναι ο κανόνας του. Μόνο που αυτός που επιλέγει να φάει το μολύβι του, έχει και ο ίδιος να του ρίξει μολύβι. Η Δίωξη Ναρκωτικών των ΗΠΑ έχει αναπτύξει το δικό της δίκτυο και εγκαθιστά στην πρωτεύουσα τον αστυνόμο Μέρφι, ο οποίος μαζί με τον Χαβιέ Πένια – τον πρίγκιπα Όμπεριν από το GoT – συντονίζουν τις επιχειρήσεις για να τελειώσει μια για πάντα αυτό το καταστροφικό καρτέλ και αυτός ο μανιακός Εσκομπάρ που δεν διστάζει να σκοτώσει οτιδήποτε κινείται για να προκαλέσει πίεση στην κυβέρνηση ώστε να ικανοποιήσει τις απαιτήσεις του.\n\nΑυτό είναι μέσες άκρες το [Narcos](https://teletype.in/@pano/SJ0CLszsr), αλλά όσα και να γραφτούν αν δεν το δεις δεν θα καταλάβεις πόσο καλά δομημένο είναι τόσο σεναριακά όσο και σκηνοθετικά. Ο Μπόιντ Χόλμπρουκ που κάνει τον αστυνόμο Μέρφι έχει την ιδανική αφηγηματική φωνή και στην περίπτωση του το σενάριο παίρνει άριστα.\n\nΟ Βάγκνερ Μόουρα είναι ο Εσκομπάρ όπως δεν θα μπορούσες να τον φανταστείς. Καλύτερος από κάθε προσδοκία. Το ίδιο και οι υπόλοιποι ρόλοι. Φυσικά τα εύσημα πάνε στους τέσσερις σκηνοθέτες: Αντρές Μπαΐς (4 επεισόδια), Φερνάντο Κοΐμπρα (2 επεισόδια), Γκιγιέρμο Ναβάρο (2 επεισόδια), Χοσέ Παδίγια (2 επεισόδια).\n\nΗ ανάπτυξη της πλοκής τοποθετεί τον Εσκομπάρ σε ρόλο χταποδιού, σε ρόλο του κορμού ενός χταποδιού. Και τα πλοκάμια ξεκινούν και καταλήγουν σε αυτόν. Άλλο πλοκάμι είναι ο Κάρλος Λέιντερ, ο Γερμανός ναζιστής που μεταφέρει τα ναρκωτικά στο Μαϊάμι, άλλο πλοκάμι είναι οι συνεργάτες του στο Καρτέλ, άλλο η οικογένεια του και άλλο το πολιτικό του όραμα.\n\nΟ ρόλος της αμερικανικής DEA (Υπηρεσία Δίωξης Ναρκωτικών)\n\nΟ Πένια και ο Μέρφι προσπαθούν να αποκόψουν αυτά τα πλοκάμια και το καταφέρνουν. Όμως για τον Πάμπλο αρκεί ένα πλοκάμι για να συνεχίσει να κάνει αυτό που ξέρει καλά: να κάνει σουρωτήρι όποιον του αντιστέκεται. Κι αφού έχει το ένα, γεννά και άλλα σαν Λερναία Ύδρα.\n\nΑυτά τα πλοκάμια όμως είναι που κάνουν το καρδιογράφημα της σειράς να παίρνει καμπύλες και να μην είναι μια ευθεία γραμμή, ώστε να κρατά και αυτούς που έχουν βαρεθεί να βλέπουν biopics του Εσκομπάρ χωρίς κάτι το καινοτόμο. Το Narcos καινοτομεί με τον τρόπο που ακολουθεί τα γεγονότα της ζωής ενός από τους μεγαλύτερους εγκληματίες, που η πορεία του ταυτίστηκε με την πορεία ενός έθνους και που με το ένα χέρι σε χάιδευε και με το άλλο σε πότιζε δηλητήριο. Αποτύπωσε έναν πόλεμο όπως ακριβώς τον βλέπουν όσοι αποφασίζουν να μπουν σε αυτόν: ο πόλεμος απαιτεί απώλειες, κανένα δάκρυ για τους πεσόντες, μόνο απόδοση τιμής.
