| body | It was late evening when she found the wild onions. She looked around and sniffed the air before cautiously put her head and eating them. Since the humans disappeared it's been hard going. For a little while it was good. There were plenty of scraps in the garbage. They soon spoiled. She soon started hunting cats, after seeing some of them eating human remains. Now, they too were scarce, and things have gotten much more dangerous. Sometime ago, she saw what she thought was a human. She ran up to it, barking with joy, when it turned around. All she remembered was the yellow eyes and a sharp pain. She has three long scars on her side from that day. A sound came to her ears, foot steps. She ran through the tall grass and into an open doorway of an abandoned house. Standing on her hind legs she looked out the tattered blinds. Up the road came a sight she hadn't seen in months. It was a human, a young woman. She had torn jeans, a hoodie, and a back pack. The girls shuffle betrayed her sadness and the dog felt bad for her. But the dog was scared, not sure it was really a human. She stayed at the window and watched the girl crest the hill, and slowly vanish from sight as the sun began to set. The dog began to pace about the house, not sure what to do. As the darkness overtook the light, she hopped on the couch and slept. After a few hours of restless sleep she hopped off the couch and headed for the door. The moon shined bright and ships streaked past the stars. The dog arrived at the top of the hill and sniffed the grand where she last saw the girl. Once she caught the sent she slowly began to follow it. There was something vaguely familiar about what she smelled. She didn't have much time to think about it, she had to be alert, the nights were very dangerous in the summer. It's when the things hunted, using the shadows to hide. In the day, they didn't hide, they just came right at you, but at least you could hear them coming. The dog found itself missing winter, the evil things were slow, and easier to kill. That's how she was able to get her vengeance. She followed the scent down a narrow road, grass growing through the cracks in the pavement. As she traveled, the scent grew stronger, she was catching up to the human. There was movement in the corn field next to the road. She stopped and crouched low. A taloned deep green hand reached out and parted the corn. A giant lizard head peered out, tongue tasting the air. It looked side to side, and stepped out onto the road. It seemed the thing had caught the sent of the human as well. The dog was worried, this human was the first she had seen forever, and there was something familiar about her. Not really knowing what else to do, she growled and barked at the beast. It noticed her, and drew a golden trident from its back and went to stab her. She quickly dodged the thrust and took off, leading it away from the scent of the human. As she ran she thought of what to do. Up ahead she saw a barbed wire fence. An idea crept into her mind. She had to find the perfect spot, and soon, as it was gaining on her. She could feel the steps growing stronger behind her, she dodged a stab aimed at her back and dove into the tall grass she had been looking for. This grass was over eight feet tall. Taller then the beast that chased her. She heard it crashing into the grass behind her, just as she rolled under the barbed wire. Once on the other side she hoped up and ran into the treeline, she turned and waited. The big dumb thing crashed through the grass and right into the barbed wire. It pierced its skin and wrapped around its legs. It crashed to the ground and dropped its trident. The more it struggled the more entangled it got. The dog slowly approached its enemy, watching its every move, ready to run away at the slightest hint of danger. She growled as she got closer, it's uncaring eyes looked at her, its tongue darted from its mouth. The dog couldn't believe her luck, every limb was tangled in the barbwire. It was harmless for the time being. She slowly approached her enemy, watching its head and limbs. There was a very weak point, not covered in armor or thick hide, its throat. A few moments later she emerged back on the road, black blood dripping from her jowls. She picked up the scent again and moved on with a trot. She was close. Ahead there was a barn, door cracked and swaying a little in the breeze. She peaked her head in and sniffed. The human was here. She slowly walked in and found her in one of the stalls, sleeping in the hay. The dog went into an adjoining stall, laid down, and slept. She followed the human at a distance for days. The sorrow the human felt oozed out into the world, it was palatable. She understood. She belonged to a family once too. The laughter, love, and security was missed. She watched as the girl sat under a tree. The dog never saw her face, ever. It was always covered in a hood and she always looked at the ground when she walked. But she couldn't help sense something familiar about her. The way she walked, her height and build, and the scent; all triggered some distant memory. The dog laid down and watched the girl as the sun began to set. Being near her and the absence of those lizard things allowed her the time to think of her past. She fell asleep, dreaming of playing fetch and snuggling with the one called mom. Chasing dad around the yard, then being chased. She woke up when she heard her name, first time she had heard it in years. It was dad calling her, in her dreams. She remembered what he said in the dream. “I'm taking her to Pa's. Make sure she gets there Bambi.” Bambi was happy as she woke up, thinking the last few years was a dream. Unfortunately it became instantly obvious it wasn't. The false dawn had come up, giving a slight sliver of light that began to bathe the forest. Bambi decided to take a chance and see who this girl was. She crept up slowly to the girl, now laying on her side, and peered in under her hood. Her nub of a take wagged a little as she recognized the face she saw there. The girl began to stir and Bambi retreated into the woods. A few days went by, and Bambi followed a little closer each passing day. The terrain also got rougher as they went, steeper hills, lots of loose rocks, and tall pines. The needles made the ground extra slippery after the rain that came thundering down out of no where one evening. Bambi thought she lost her a couple times, she climbed a steep hill that Bambi couldn't climb. But Bambi caught up to her a few hours later. Another time the girl swam a creek at one point, Bambi tried but turned back and climbed a fallen tree to get to the other side. Took her sometime to find her then too. Now they came to a clearing, a warm breeze came to her, past the girl. Bambi, of course, smelled the girl, but there was something else there too. The girl didn't seem to notice, she just kept walking, head down, drowning in her own thoughts. Bambi had to think fast or she would walk right into them. She circled around the clearing and came up on a barn, the scent was strong. Bambi poked her head into a gap in the wood and saw a couple smaller of those lizard things. She proceeded to the house and slowly backed away. There was a big one in there. Bambi headed back to the girl, she had to stop her. The moment she realized she was to late, broke her heart. How could it be that the only human she had seen in months turned out to be one of her humans, only to have to watch her die. The two scouts she had seen in the barn headed towards the girl, who still walked with her head down. Bambi sprinted as fast as she could to get to her. The lead one reached over its shoulder and drew out its golden trident, took a few more steps and thrust it at her. Bambi's heart stopped as she expected the girl to fall over dead, but she didn't. It took a few moments for her to realize everything had stopped. The two scouts were frozen in time and space. Neither moved an inch, they were like statues. Bambi had seen this before, she suddenly remembered. Her people could do this, her life and memories came flashing back to her... all of it. There was her first family, the one that took her to their home when she was a puppy. There was a time when she fell asleep and woke up with a nub instead of a tail, and no dew claws. Then there was the constant shouting and yelling. She had been hit a lot too. Then, on a stormy summer night she was dumped at a church. She remembered hiding under a picnic table as the rain came down and the lightning flashed and the thunder made her jump. The next day smelled new as the sun came up. A few cars pulled up and people went inside, she stayed away from them. She didn't trust people anymore. A little while later a white van pulled into the parking lot. A man got out, there was something different about him. She could sense he was kind, and he had a spring in his step. But what peaked her interest was that he glowed. She came out from under the table and approached him, he seemed happy to see her. He bent down to pet her and she flinched. This action seemed to make him sad, and the color of his light changed as he bent down to her level. She came up to him and wondered about the glow. He said “ Who do you belong to little girl?” Bambi saw the girl glow. An angry red emanated from her body. For the first time she looked up, the hood fell from her face. Her features, once soft, were hardened by the events of the last few years. Her eyes were tired, baggy and bloodshot. There were tear tracks on her dirty face. The girl walked up to the frozen figures and took the trident from the hands of the first one. She spun it around and stabbed the beast with a force that Bambi would have never guessed she had. It went right through it and appeared between its shoulders. She went to the next one and drew out a large knife from under her jacket, it had an eagles head on the hilt, and slid it alone the other ones neck. Her red glow went away and the two scouts fell to the ground while giving out their death cries. A noise came from the house, and Bambi started to bark to warn her human. The girl spun around and looked at her direction. There was a look of aw on the girls face, and then Bambi began to run toward the house. The girl looked at the house and saw a rather large lizard man come out. Suddenly Bambi couldn't move. She was frozen mid stride. She could only see the girl from the corner of her eye. The girl was not afraid, she had a determined look on her face. This lizard thing was a sorcerer, it had its staff in hand and it began to have black energy surround the stone on the end. Bambi knew the girl was in danger, but all she could do is bark. The black energy started to concentrate at the end of the staff, when the sorcerers eyes went wide. Bambi saw the girl extend her right arm. There was a glowing bracelet on her wrist. The bracelet was a gift, created by her father, he had given one to her, her sister, and her mother. It was designed to turn her target to ash. Bambi remembered when he made them, he didn't use tools. He sat, in a room and focused his thoughts between his hands. These bracelets materialized from thin air, he wanted to make sure his family was safe after the fall of the spire. This girl had become a legend with in the Saurian Empire, almost a myth. She modified her bracelet. Her father was to kind, no pain in the original design. Hers would slowly break down the molecular structure of her target. This is the thought the sorcerer had when he saw the bracelet, his concentration was broke, the energy dissolved from around the staff. The beam arched from the bracelet its pale blue light enveloped the sorcerer, The skin turn do dust and began to blow away in the breeze, exposing the muscle tissue beneath. The muscle began ti turn from red to gray and it soon too began to blow away, revealing the guts and bones of her enemy. It roared in pain as these too began to turn to first stone and then sand. When the beam stopped it's head fell to the ground, still intact. She slowly walked up to it and peered into its eyes, they blinked. “Where is my family!!!” she screamed at it. It blinked again, opened it's mouth and died. Bambi still couldn't move, she gave out a little whimper. The girl looked at her and Bambi saw her glow change from red to white. As the light faded she was able to move. The boxer stood there with her head down and not sure what to do. The girl walked up to her, hood down, brown hair blowing in the wind. When she drew close she sat, cross legged, on the ground and peered into Bambi's eyes. Bambi looked into the girls green searching eyes. The girl, fighting back tears, said “Bambi ?” |

"body": "It was late evening when she found the wild onions. She has three long scars on her side from that day.\n\nA sound came to her ears, foot steps. As the darkness overtook the light, she hopped on the couch and slept.\n\nAfter a few hours of restless sleep she hopped off the couch and headed for the door. \n\nShe followed the scent down a narrow road, grass growing through the cracks in the pavement. As she traveled, the scent grew stronger, she was catching up to the human. There was movement in the corn field next to the road. She stopped and crouched low.\n\nA taloned deep green hand reached out and parted the corn. A giant lizard head peered out, tongue tasting the air. It looked side to side, and stepped out onto the road. It seemed the thing had caught the sent of the human as well.\n\nThe dog was worried, this human was the first she had seen forever, and there was something familiar about her. Not really knowing what else to do, she growled and barked at the beast. It noticed her, and drew a golden trident from its back and went to stab her. She quickly dodged the thrust and took off, leading it away from the scent of the human.\n\nAs she ran she thought of what to do. Up ahead she saw a barbed wire fence. An idea crept into her mind. She had to find the perfect spot, and soon, as it was gaining on her.\n\nShe could feel the steps growing stronger behind her, she dodged a stab aimed at her back and dove into the tall grass she had been looking for. This grass was over eight feet tall. Taller then the beast that chased her. She heard it crashing into the grass behind her, just as she rolled under the barbed wire. Once on the other side she hoped up and ran into the treeline, she turned and waited. \n\nThe big dumb thing crashed through the grass and right into the barbed wire. It pierced its skin and wrapped around its legs. It crashed to the ground and dropped its trident. The more it struggled the more entangled it got. The dog slowly approached its enemy, watching its every move, ready to run away at the slightest hint of danger.\n\nShe growled as she got closer, it's uncaring eyes looked at her, its tongue darted from its mouth. The dog couldn't believe her luck, every limb was tangled in the barbwire. It was harmless for the time being. She slowly approached her enemy, watching its head and limbs. There was a very weak point, not covered in armor or thick hide, its throat. \n\nA few moments later she emerged back on the road, black blood dripping from her jowls. She picked up the scent again and moved on with a trot. She was close.\n\nAhead there was a barn, door cracked and swaying a little in the breeze. She peaked her head in and sniffed. The human was here. She slowly walked in and found her in one of the stalls, sleeping in the hay. The dog went into an adjoining stall, laid down, and slept.\n\n\n\nShe followed the human at a distance for days. The sorrow the human felt oozed out into the world, it was palatable. She understood. | body | The sun began to rise and melt away the mist that hung over the pine needle covered ground. The growing light slowly brought life to the forest and illuminated the lone soul laying on the ground, next to a smoldering fire. He slowly woke, rubbing life back into his cold stiff muscles. Rubbing his eyes he slowly stood up and began to look around. Nothing looked familiar, he was lost. He cursed his blood lust and his foolish pursuit of his fleeing enemy. When he had led his band of Osage warriors against the Missouri, it was his men that broke the stalemate and chased them back across the Great River and further north into his enemies territory. Now, here he was, in the land of his enemy, lost and alone, with only his flint knife for protection. Smoke reached his nose, and for the first time he noticed the fire. With a puzzled look on his face, he knelt down and poked at the coals with a stick. Deep in thought he did not notice the flames that were reborn. He did not remember starting this fire, he did not remember much actually. Absentmindedly he drop the stick into the resurrected flames and sat back on his haunches. Last he could remember he was chasing a young Missouri warrior down a narrow trail. He rubbed his forehead in frustration, he suddenly felt nauseous. There was a giant knot on his forehead. The pain it brought triggered his memory. “Damn tree branch.” he said to himself. How long he laid there he did not know, but he did know that he had been wondering these damn hills for days, with no sign of man. Except, maybe this fire that he did not build. Standing, he looked around for any sign of how it got built. All he could find was a drag trail in the dirt where a tree trunk had been moved, and the place where it was broken up. Not chopped, but broken, like a child with a stick. The shards left over were just giant splinters. Then a sight froze him in his tracks. One human foot print, at least it looked human. He walked up to the print and put his moccasin in it. It was easily twice as big as his foot. Quickly he return to the fire, grabbed the largest burning log, he kicked out the fire and left. As he walked away his thoughts returned to his last few days in the wilderness. How he survived by catching lizards and squirrels. His water skin was full, which was also odd, because it was almost empty when he passed out yesterday. After a few hours he crested a rather tall hill, and in the distance he could see the smoke of several cooking fires. He backed up to a great pine and leaned against it in thought. The knowledge that there was a Missouri settlement so close gave him mixed feelings. If they did not recognize him they would greet him and give him food and, most importantly, he could find out where he is. However, if they did recognize him.... Movement caught his eye and he shifted his focus to a thicket of trees a few hundred feet away. Three Missouri warriors were coming up the hill. “Well,” he thought, “might as well find out here with just three then with a hundred.” The trio was not in their war dress, maybe out hunting, when the stumbled into him. They walked towards each other, and stopped about twenty paces away. They signed welcome to him, he returned a polite reply. They asked who he was and what tribe he belonged to. He lied and said he was part of the Iowa, was separated during a buffalo hunt. The three stopped and looked at each other and talked in hushed tones. Everything seemed calm until the one with the spear yelled “You lie dog! You are Talanka of the Osage!” while he lunged at Talanka's middle. Talanka dodged that jab and drew his knife. He stood at the ready, waiting for their next move. An inhuman bellow ripped through the air, freezing all four men. A head sized boulder came flying down the hill, pulverizing the ribs of the spear wielder. The spear man bellowed in pain and another roar ripped threw the air. Talanka was already running back down the hill, away from the sounds of snapping bones and screams of fear and pain. He tripped over a twig, rolled down the hill, bounced back up and ran some more. He dropped the smoldering branch during his tumble but held onto his knife. The sound of rushing water reached his ears, he ran towards that sound and found a creek where the water was running swift. He danced across rocks and splashed in shallow puddles, hopping to loose what ever that was. As the sun went down he found a place to sleep, a giant hollowed out tree would be a good place to hide. Days went by and he began to not only question what he saw, he also began to grow more and more desperate. Did he anger some unknown god that cursed him with the doom of wondering the earth for eternity? “Son, come over here. There is something I want to show you.” a familiar voice called to him. Talanka looked over towards a pile of fallen trees and saw his father. “Dad?” “Yes, come here, this is truly strange.” Talanka walked over to his father and looked at what he was pointing at. It was a large foot print, like the one he saw the other day. “And over here.” He looked at where his dad pointed and saw a pile of bones around a large rock outcrop. Talanka walked over to the large pile and saw it was a mixture of both human and large animal bones. Most were snapped open to get to the marrow inside. “Be careful my son.” came his fathers voice. When he turned to look, his father was gone. Talanka had lost his father a few years ago to a bear attack, his fingers drifted to the necklace he made of the bears claws after he hunted it down and killed it. After this, he had several conversations with himself and other loved ones that just were not there. He was unaware of his madness. It seemed to him like he was dead and on a spirit journey. One night he made camp in a glade of great pines. He lay in his back, muttering to himself and looking at the stars, when he sensed something watching him. He rolled over to his side and slowly slid the dagger out of his deer skin belt and waited. Whatever it was, it was content to keep its distance and watch. After what seemed like hours, his stalked lost interest and moved on. Talanka woke before the sun after a few hours of restless sleep. He muttered to himself that he was crazy, there was nothing there. He reasoned with himself that it was just his nerves, they were shot after all. Then he screamed at himself that it is real, and that something watched him last night. As the sun cracked the horizon he talked himself into walking over to where he thought his watcher stood. His eyes roved the loam, looking for any hint of what may have been there. His eyes locked onto what was becoming a familiar sight, a large human like foot print. He backed away slowly, eyeing the woods beyond, expecting the giant to reach out the the shadows and grab him at any moment. When he felt he was far enough away he turned and ran through the woods, leaping over dead trees. He ran through the hills and valleys, not caring about any tracks he may leave behind. On and on he ran until, hours later, he came across a small stream. He plopped down near the bank and dunked his head into the water. He yanked it out with a spray of water flying from his black hair. The eyes where on him again. Somewhere, along the tree line, they burned into him. He scanned the tree line looking for any sign of the giant. His eyes rested on what seemed to be an oddly shaped pine tree. He guessed that the tree would be two heads taller then him. What made him notice it,was that it was rather oddly shaped and the needle color wasn't the vibrant green like the rest of the forest, rather it was a reddish brown. Talanka was about to turn back to the creek, thinking he was even crazier then he really was, when the top of the tree moved. It was a very slight movement, with no breeze running through the forest the top of the tree tilted sideways, like a dog listening to his master. It froze Talanka's heart and limbs as the fear paralyzed him. He slowly gathered his wits and decided to act like he saw nothing. Slowly he stood up and started to walk up the hill, away from the odd tree. He worked his way up through thick undergrowth and fallen timber. Quite a few times he slipped on wet gravel and almost slid back down the hill. Reaching the top he looked back, saw nothing unusual and began to walk down the hill when a sound cracked through the silence and stopped his heavy breathing. It was a deep roar like the ones he had heard when he had encountered the Missouri warriors. It had come from where he just was, at the base of the hill. He began to scramble down the hill, away from his pursuer when another sound stopped him cold. It was another roar, just like the first, but this one came from in front of him. He paused for a moment, cold sweat running down his spine. He stopped his descent and ran along a creek, trying to outflank them. The giants followed alongside of him, herding him to some unknown destination as the sun sank. He burst through the forest into a clearing. On the other side was the same glade he was at days ago, with the fire. He ran through the clearing, his eyes focused on the glade, hoping to reach it before the giants could overtake him. The tall grass whispered to him as he ran like a gazelle, bobbing up and down as he ran. Up and down, up and down, then he vanished. He fell into a small rocky ditch, his head slammed down on a rock and all went black. The noon sun greeted his aching eyes. The gash on his headed was dressed with moss and mud, and he was propped up against one of the taller trees in the glade. He looked around to see if anyone was there, no one was in site, but he saw a rather large hand print in the mud next to the tree. Woozily, he stood, and instantly felt eyes on him, he walked away from where he felt they were. A roar came from his right and then, shortly after from his left. They herded him that way all day. Talanka tried to find a different way to go, but he felt death close in on him a few times. “Where were they taking me? What do they want? Why wont they just kill me?” were just some of the thoughts racing through his mind. The moon was rising when he heard the sounds of a rushing river. He came to the first familiar site in months, it was the Great River, he stood on the opposite shore from his homeland. He truly felt alone, and safe. His stomach was telling him it was empty, so he made and set some snares. It had been days since he last ate. With traps set, he went off to find a place to sleep. He found a good spot and made a pen from pine bows and passed out. Talanka rose with the sun and checked his snares. The first one was smashed against a large rock. The next one was ripped apart. Talanka was desperate when he headed to the last one. It to was a pile of sticks. He picked it up to see if he could tell what caused the damage. As he picked through it he froze. Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement. Talanka stood and faced the beast that was less then a hundred paces away. It was a monster from legends, stories told to scare children. It was quite a bit taller then him, had a pointed head, brutish shoulder, long strong arms, and everything was coated in coarse red and brown hair. It opened its mouth, showing yellow teeth and pointed at him. Madness gripped Talanka; he pulled his dagger from his belt and rushed the beast. Preferring death to being hinted anymore, he attacked the giant, stabbing it over and over. The sight of blood drove him on, knowing that if it bled it could be killed. It did not struggle, rather it cried in surprise and moaned in pain. Then it was gone, it fell from him and laid in its own blood at his feet. Talanka fell to his knees in a mixture of relief and exhaustion. He breathed deep, calming his shattered nerves. He held his breath, he heard the snap of a twig behind him. He turned in time to see a giant hairy fist slam into his face. He awoke, back in his own village. There was a lot of angry voices. It seems that he had killed the tribes guardian, a Sasquatch, The surviving one brought him back to the village and dropped his limp body down in front of the shaman. The shaman understood the language of the Sasquatch. It had recognized Talanka as an Osage, and the Sasquatch were their guardians. He and his mate had tried to guide him home, but Talanka had slew his mate. The Sasquatch was angry with the shaman for not teaching his people the language of the Ancient Times. If he had then his mate would still be alive. In his anger he cursed the Osage people. He prophesied that a great tribe would came and take their land, and he would still be here, watching from the shadows of the glade. |

"body": "The sun began to rise and melt away the mist that hung over the pine needle covered ground. Now, here he was, in the land of his enemy, lost and alone, with only his flint knife for protection.\n\nSmoke reached his nose, and for the first time he noticed the fire. “Damn tree branch.” he said to himself.\n\nHow long he laid there he did not know, but he did know that he had been wondering these damn hills for days, with no sign of man. Quickly he return to the fire, grabbed the largest burning log, he kicked out the fire and left.\n\nAs he walked away his thoughts returned to his last few days in the wilderness. However, if they did recognize him....\n\nMovement caught his eye and he shifted his focus to a thicket of trees a few hundred feet away. Three Missouri warriors were coming up the hill. “Well,” he thought, “might as well find out here with just three then with a hundred.” The trio was not in their war dress, maybe out hunting, when the stumbled into him. They walked towards each other, and stopped about twenty paces away.\n\nThey signed welcome to him, he returned a polite reply. He stood at the ready, waiting for their next move.\n\nAn inhuman bellow ripped through the air, freezing all four men. As the sun went down he found a place to sleep, a giant hollowed out tree would be a good place to hide.\n\nDays went by and he began to not only question what he saw, he also began to grow more and more desperate. Did he anger some unknown god that cursed him with the doom of wondering the earth for eternity?\n\n“Son, come over here. There is something I want to show you.” a familiar voice called to him. Talanka looked over towards a pile of fallen trees and saw his father. “Dad?”\n\n“Yes, come here, this is truly strange.” \n\nTalanka walked over to his father and looked at what he was pointing at. When he turned to look, his father was gone.\n\nTalanka had lost his father a few years ago to a bear attack, his fingers drifted to the necklace he made of the bears claws after he hunted it down and killed it. | body | To all of those that call yourselves Americans as I proudly do. The election is over. If you are on the right extend that olive branch to those that opposed you. Let them know it will be ok. Be there for them. Give them time. If you were on the left. Breath. What just happened to you happened to the right 4 years ago. It happens. Win some lose some. For gods sake stop crying and buck up. This time, right now, in our lives can be one of two things. Either we stay divided and we continue to slide into a third world country or we come together as Americans and once again become the beacon of light we were meant to be. Both options are up to us and us alone. We need everyone's talents and everyone's voice. No one wants to take away your liberties or your life. I think this election cycle has played with the minds of people on both sides and we need to remember who we are. We need to remember that our ancestors gave everything they had to the formation of this country. It doesn't matter if they came over on the mayflower or took their oath yesterday. If they were brought here by force or where here already. Every one of them put something into this soil. The soil of our land is filled with our blood, sweat, and tears. We are the same. No matter what people tell you and how they try to divide us with labels we are only fit for one label, Americans. When we die and are put into the soil with our ancestors and our flesh rots away there will be no way to tell who was what other then that we are buried here in America. There is no reason other then your self imposed limitations on why we can not usher in a golden age. One to be talked about thousands of years from now. In America we can excel at all things if we stand united. We are at a crossroads. We can fix our broken education system and push science and engineering. We can promote prose and art. We can reach for the stars and sing, write, sculpt, and paint it. We can once again be the great inventors of the world. We can then make those new products here. We can return power were it is supposed to be, to us. We can shrink the federal government and return power to the states. Let's face it, local governments are more responsive. We can return common sense to the minds of our citizens. We can change the way we treat each other. We can recognize we are all created equal. We can stop being threatened by ideas that are different then ours and open our minds. We can leave this country freer and better for our children and grandchildren. But first we have to realize that we are broken and come together to repair this nation and ourselves. We have to do it honestly and openly. I welcome the naysayers as long as they too have a plan and are open to compromise. Now, let's shut up, quit tearing each other down and being irrational. Quit being poor sports and work together to bring us back to greatness for ALL Americans. |
