I have a large number of interests including music, alternative energy, self-reliance, economic freedom, and making really bad puns whenever the opportunity presents itself!\n\nRegarding music, I write and record material here in my small home studio. The era of Rock from the 60s to the 80s has been the largest influence on my writing and playing style. Lately, I've had more success in the photovoltaic realm rather than the photosynthetic. (My tomatoes have looked like crap this year. I choose to assign blame to the triple digit summer heat rather than my gardening skills) I'm still working on my accountability.\n\nOn the subject of economic freedom, I've always had the sense that something was wrong with the world as we know it, but couldn't quite explain it. I still can't explain it with the articulation that others have, so I've also spent some of the last year in my break from music to learn as much as possible and pass it along when appropriate and when people I encounter are receptive.\n\nMy passion for puns and word plays is completely the fault of my older brother. It started during one Saturday morning cartoon viewing session. He looked at me quite seriously and said: \"Did you know that Bugs Bunny spelled backwards sounds like: \"Eenub Skub\"? I was off to the races from there. When I find my puns lacking in quality, I compensate with sheer quantity. People run from me at work, my wife rolls her eyes, the IRS leaves me alone, and governments grant me freedom to own and run a business! Did I mention sarcasm in my introduction?\n\nAnyway, I am glad to be here and looking forward to exploring the vast amount of talent and ideas that I've just scratched the surface of on Steemit. I'm hoping to contribute as much as possible as often as I can to the community. Thank you all!",
