The cause of the fire is unknown, and there were no casualties.\n\nAccording to local residents, the fire, whose origins are unknown, suddenly grew and engulfed the house. Upon learning of the fire, residents immediately contacted the Bireuen Regency Fire Department.\n\nThree fire trucks from the Bireuen Main Post and one truck from the Juli Post were deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished after intensive firefighting efforts by officers on the ground.\n\nAfter extinguishing and cooling the house, officers also cleared the debris from the burned building. H. Razuardi, MT.\n\nThe event was attended by the Head of the Aceh Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Dr. Ir. Zulkifli, MSi, Forkopimda officials, heads of the Regional Government Work Units (SKPK), sub-district heads, and 230 participants from various community groups.\n\nThe Musrenbang agenda included a presentation of the initial direction of the 2027 RKPK by the Bireuen Bappeda, a presentation of Aceh's 2027 development policies by the Aceh Bappeda, and a discussion and question-and-answer session.\n\nIn his remarks, Deputy Regent Razuardi emphasized the importance of a shared commitment to ensure that every rupiah of the budget is truly directed towards the benefit of the community, especially those in need of greater attention.\n\nHe also urged all regional officials to increase synergy and not work in isolation.\n\n\"Good planning is integrated, mutually supportive planning, with the same goal of building Bireuen Regency to be prosperous, intelligent, peaceful, and Islamic,\" he said.\n\nThe Head of the Bireuen Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Dailami, SHut, emphasized that the Musrenbang (Regional Development Planning Forum) is a crucial stage in the participatory, transparent, and accountable regional development planning process.\n\nThis forum serves as a platform for aligning community aspirations with regional development priorities.\n\nThe Chairman of the Bireuen Regional People's Representative Council (DPRK), Juniadi, SH, hopes that the Musrenbang can become a means of real collaboration between the executive, legislative, and community, resulting in targeted development programs that have a direct impact on the welfare of residents.\n\nThe forum also presented development achievements for 2025, including:\n\nEconomic growth reached 3.26 percent, higher than the Aceh average. The poverty rate decreased to 10.3%, a decrease of 1.8%. Open unemployment was recorded at 3.82%, lower than the provincial and national averages. The house had previously been the primary residence for the two orphans.\n\nThe entire contents of the house, from clothes and motorcycles to two bicycles, one of which Mulkan often used to go to school, were destroyed.\n\nThe fire not only destroyed their house but also spread to the adjacent house of their grandmother, M Nasir (61).\n\nFortunately, the two children were at their grandmother's house next door at the time of the incident, so there were no casualties. However, all their belongings were destroyed.\n\nWhen the fire broke out, residents immediately rushed to help extinguish the flames with whatever equipment they had and contacted the Bireuen Regency Fire Department.\n\nResidents also immediately evacuated the two orphans to a neighbor's house for safety. Community support was evident, with many residents trying to save their belongings and prevent the fire from spreading to other homes.\n\nThe Bireuen Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) deployed three fire trucks from the main post, plus one from the Juli post and one from the Kutablang post to extinguish the fire.\n\nUpon arrival at the scene, officers and residents immediately extinguished the fire and cooled down the area around the victim's grandmother's house, located to the west of the house, to prevent it from burning.\n\nThe permanent house where the two orphans lived was completely destroyed, leaving only the concrete structure. The event was attended by Acting Regional Secretary Hanafiah SP CGCAE FRMP, Head of the Bireuen Social Service, Ismunandar ST MT, sub-district heads, and officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. The event took place at the Pendopo on Saturday morning (March 14, 2026).\n\nIn his remarks, Bireuen Regent, Ir. H. Mukhlis, ST, expressed his deepest condolences to all the victims' families. Mukhlis ST, at the Health Office Hall on Thursday morning (March 5, 2026).\n\nJeumpa Sub-district Head, Rusli S.Sos, in his report to the Regent, members of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRK), Assistant I, Heads of Regional Government Agencies (SKPK), Muspika (Regional Leadership Council), and Village Heads (Keuchik), among the Musrenbang participants, explained that prior to the sub-district-level Musrenbang,\n\nIn November 2025, before the Kali flash flood disaster, a Musrenbang was held at the village level, and on February 15, 2026, a Pre-Musrenbang Sub-district meeting was also held, resulting in 125 priority proposals for each village.\n\nSubsequently, on Wednesday (February 11th), the village proposals were verified by the Bireuen Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) team. He explained that 118 proposals met the requirements, including 71 proposals for facilities and infrastructure, 36 proposals for economic and resource development, and 11 proposals for special needs.\n\nOne of the priority proposals is the hotmix asphalt paving of the Blang Bladeh, Abeuk Tingkeum, Blang Mee, Blang Seupeung, Blang Gandai, and Cot Meugoe roads to Alue Limeng, according to Sub-district Head Rusli.\n\nIn his remarks, Regent Mukhlis stated that this activity aims to gather community aspirations and align development needs with current conditions and developments.\n\nAs is known, the flood disaster that struck Bireuen at the end of 2025 had a significant impact on the community's social life, the regional economy, infrastructure, and the environment.\n\nThis disaster serves as a reminder to us all that future regional development must be increasingly adaptive, resilient, and oriented towards disaster risk mitigation.\n\nTherefore, this Musrenbang is highly strategic, as it not only discusses the continuation of development programs but also adjusts policy direction and development priorities after the disaster, ensuring rapid, appropriate, and sustainable recovery.\n\n\"I hope all delegates can submit program/activity proposals in a participatory and democratic manner, taking into account the authority of the village, district, provincial, and central governments,\" said Regent H. Mukhlis on Friday afternoon (February 27, 2026) at the Education and Culture Office Hall.\n\nThey comprised 3 Kindergarten (TK) principals, 27 Public Elementary School (SDN) principals, 8 Public Junior High School (SMPN) principals, and 43 functional officials.\n\nBireuen Regent Mukhlis hopes that the principals will be fair, honest leaders, and oriented towards the welfare of the community, especially the younger generation of Bireuen Regency.\n\nThe term of office for a principal is four years and can be extended for two terms. Therefore, the principal's tenure must be optimally utilized, and the position will be continuously evaluated every six months.\n\n\"I hope that the newly appointed officers will work well and honestly to improve the quality of education in Bireuen Regency,\" he said.\n\nThe Regent emphasized three main points to functional officials, predominantly healthcare workers: first, serve patients with a smile and patience, treating them like family.\n\nSecond, don't let bureaucracy take lives. Mukhlis, ST, accompanied by Acting Regional Secretary Hanafiah and Acting Head of the Bireuen Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Fachrizal, took place on Thursday morning (February 12, 2026) at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space (RTH).\n\nThe Acting Head of the Bireuen Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Drs. Fachrizal, when asked about the number of decree recipients, explained that the total number of Part-Time PPPK recipients was 5,548.\n\nThere are three categories: 2,502 education personnel, 1,862 healthcare personnel, and 1,364 technical personnel. They work in the Regency Work Units (SKPK) within the Bireuen Regency Government, he explained.\n\nThe Regent of Bireuen Regency, H. Mukhlis, ST, in his remarks, stated that the Bireuen Regency Government understands that the current \"Part-Time\" status is an initial step or transitional phase.\n\n\"Our focus going forward is to fight for the welfare and upgrading of your status to Full-Time PPPK. We will continue to coordinate intensively with the Central Government and conduct regional fiscal studies so that your status and income can gradually improve for a better future for your families,\" he said.\n\nAlong with this change in status, the Regent is demanding a change in mindset and work ethic. As civil servants, we are obliged to implement the core values ​​of BerAKHLAK (Service-Oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative).\n\n\"I don't want to hear of any PPPK civil servants whose performance actually declines after receiving their decree. Be a solution-oriented figure, not part of the problem. Be a humble public servant with high competence,\" he emphasized.\n\nHe hopes that the presence of these 5,548 PPPK personnel will bring about a significant leap in the quality of our public services. \"I want Bireuen to be known as a regency with the fastest, friendliest, and most transparent public services in Aceh,\" he hoped.\n\nSimilarly, regarding discipline, the Bireuen Regency Government will conduct regular and stringent performance monitoring and evaluation. Two houses caught fire in Cot Bada Baroh Village, Peusangan District, Bireuen, on Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.\n\nThe two houses burned down, belonging to Makhayiwah (70 years old) and Munzir (40 years old). The disaster severely affected 10 people from four families.\n\nTheir homes were completely destroyed by the fire, including all their contents. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and there were no casualties in the disaster, which destroyed two permanent homes.\n\nAccording to reports, the fire started in a bedroom in Makhayiwah's house. Saudah Ilyas, the homeowner's daughter, explained that the fire spread rapidly.\n\nSauda explained that when she entered through the side door because the front door was locked, she saw smoke billowing from inside the house. As she was about to open the front door to greet guests, she discovered a fire already burning in her mother's room.\n\n\"I saw smoke, so I went inside to open the front door. It turned out the fire had already spread to my mother's room,\" Saudah said, her face filled with sadness.\n\nShe immediately ran outside to save herself and called for help from local residents. At that time, her son, Fahmi, who was sleeping in the back room, also managed to escape.\n\nHowever, the fire quickly spread throughout the house, razing the permanent structure to the ground.\n\nThree Bireuen Regency fire trucks were deployed to the scene. Firefighters, assisted by the community and other elements, extinguished the fire.\n\nThe hot weather facilitated and accelerated the house's fire, and efforts to extinguish the fire were successful.
