It is linked to the crown chakra and can be helpful in relieving stress and anxiety. The seagull feathers were found on one of my trips along the beaches of New Jersey. Feathers can be seen as a sacred connection to the Divine depending on where you find them and how they come to you. I love the magic that comes from finding these beautiful gifts!",

I can be honest that I have never looked at it the way that you have - I have always felt as though I don't want my son (14 months old) to become old enough to remember that he is no longer 'allowed' to breastfeed. However, after reading your post - you are totally correct, a happy and content Mother and Baby is vital in order to live an easier, loving life. My son *fortunately* self-weaned from breastfeeding just after his first birthday. \nI knew I didn't want this day to come, but I guess I decided in the end that as he was feeding less often, and basically 'playing around' rather than feeding. I clung onto our last feeds as I have enjoyed every moment of breastfeeding - even the painful parts!\nBut I will definitely be having another baby in the near future and am intrigued by your idea on 'child-led weaning', so may take a leaf out of your book and give it a go - after all, it is so convenient, it wouldn't be an issue to continue, I'm sure! :)\nThank you",

      "body": "I often feel that what it really comes down to, once we realize how some things are not serving us and how things could be better if we challenged ourselves to make change, is that we don't actually believe we deserve it and are afraid of our own power.  Most of us on a deep level don't love ourselves enough to give ourselves the best.  It takes a lot of personal responsibility to create the life of our dreams, as we have to hold ourselves accountable to making that happen.  If we thought we were worthy, we would be doing it without question.\n\nI've also seen it as a process, sometimes baby steps at a time, and I've also had the realization that it could be instantaneous , so to not be attached to dragging it out unnecessarily.       "body": "I'm glad I came across your post! Not a coincidence that I was just talking about this with a friend! My husband and I have a seven year old daughter, a 15 month old son and a baby on the way. So with our daughter we initially decided to go along with the Santa thing. However when she was about three we were going through major life changes. We did not see the importance of holidays especially ones that placed such a significance on material things. We were teaching her things don't matter, experiences are more important. So it didn't make sense to us to create this facade for her to play along with. We also did not like lying to her. Her whole childhood we taught her the importance of telling us the truth and being honest and here we were lying about something that literally did not even matter. When we told her she was four and she told me she already knew and didn't care! Our family actually cared so much more because they said we ruined her childhood. All I could think of is how silly that someone would think a made up person could ruin a childhood! I say do what you think feels right. I do not regret telling her the truth at all. This life is full of so much more than \"Santa Claus\" and I am so happy we get to share it all with our children!",

In the post the writer talks about living in these two worlds. How those, who start diving into who they really are, find themselves realizing that this world that we see as so real, our “reality” is so much more than that. I still find myself in-between these two worlds. \nI know there is this reality that we have created but it is so deceptive and I find from time to time that the old world I lived in is quite hard to let go of. It can be difficult when the people around you are still so trapped yet you feel so free. I have come to realize in order to fully embrace who we are we have to let go of this old world. Of who we think we are and who people think we are. That person is someone that has been programmed and tricked. Not someone who thinks freely and openly and who knows and understands that we have the power. We are the creators. Our world is our reflection of our minds. \nI have found the more I let go of the old me and my old life and who I thought I was, the better and better I feel. This has also meant that I have learned to let go of what doesn't serve me, including many individuals in my life. They had this idea of who I was and how I did things and it is often hard for people to fathom the thought you being anything except the person they thought they always knew. I just see it all as part of the process. The Ebb and the Flow. We are here to experience. To feel, to love, to nurture and be nurtured. Let’s let go of that idea of who we think we are so that we can embrace who we really are and enjoy the experience of our creation.\nThe pictures are from a couple different trips I took to Sedona Arizona. A place I used to visit often when I lived in Phoenix. This is one of the places where I feel so connected to Mother Earth and to nature. Once we learn to let go and look within ourselves it makes everything so much easier. And you are so right about material things. People use material things to fill the emptiness inside themselves instead of discovering who they truly are. We cannot take these items with us when we leave. They are simply here for the experience.",
