      "body": "A Healthy Faith is Based In Reality \n\nDavid expressed, \"Even through I stroll through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no abhorrent, for you are with me\" (Psalm 23:4). \n\nThat is the articulation and desire for a solid confidence. Not just that God's essence will run with us, yet that there are some dim, destructive shadowed places on this old planet of our own. The valley of the shadow of death exists in this world. I have seen it. So have you. It exists since we live in a fallen world. A sound confidence gets us through that dim valley. Undesirable confidence makes us imagine the valley doesn't exist! \n\nA similar David additionally penned these words: \n\nFor inconveniences without number encompass me; my transgressions have overwhelmed me, and I can't see. \n\nThey are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart flops inside me. (Song 40:12) \n\nThat, as well, is a declaration of a sound confidence. David told God (who definitely knew) the exact state of his heart. Also, it wasn't beautiful. Prior in that same hymn, he depicted this occurrence from his own biography: \"I sat tight quietly for the LORD; he swung to me and heard me cry. He lifted me out of the vile pit, out of the mud and soil; he set my feet on a stone and gave me a firm place to stand. He put another tune in my mouth, a psalm of acclaim to our God\" (verses 1-3). \n\nFoul pits exist in our reality similarly as dull valleys exist. Furthermore, similarly as clearly as devotees must go through dull valleys, so they every so often fall into \"the mud and soil,\" requiring salvage, purifying, and comfort. \n\nIt's valid. It's genuine. It's how things are-and David never shrivels from disclosing to everything. Solid confidence causes us grasp our identity, what we are, and where we are. David announces a coming up short, error prone humankind and a cherishing, ground-breaking God, who includes himself in the lives of individual people. A sound confidence recognizes that we are neither faultless nor omniscient nor transcendent nor inescapable.
