      "body": "\"스팀에 가입한 것이 이제 막 사흘째가 된다. 사실 사흘동안 한 것은 그렇게 많지 않았다. 고질적인 게으름 탓에 어제는 글들을 거의 읽지 않았으며, 가입 첫 날에는 이 공간에 적응하지 못한 채 헤매고 있던 탓이다. 오늘 아침 일어난 뒤에야 글을 조금 찾아 읽어 보았다. ~~이 역시 공부하려던 책들을 읽기 귀찮은 게으름의 탓으로 떠밀려 한 것이지마는~~ kr 태그의 최신 글을 읽어 보았고, [apink](https://steemit.com/@apink)님의 댓글을 따라 알게 된 [myfan님의 \"태그정리 목록\"](https://steemit.com/kr/@myfan/2-8)을 통해 이런 저런 태그의 피드를 살펴 보았다. 덧붙여 개인적 흥미에 따라 kr-philosophy나 kr-jazz(이쪽에는 글이 없었지만) 등의 태그를 검색해 보았고. 마크다운의 문법도 배우는 중이다. 지금 이 글도 마크다운으로 작성하고 있다!\n\n여튼간, 스티밋 공간을 둘러보며 생각한 것들이 몇 있어 글을 남긴다. 이 글은 스티밋 공간에 들어서는 나의 소신이면서 이 생태계에 대한 비평이다. 하지만 아직 생각의 전제나 생각의 연결고리들이 많이 부족하다. 읽어보신 뒤 나의 오류나 무지에 대해 많이 지적해주시면 좋겠다. 어찌되었건 나는 이제 막 이 공동체에 들어온 사람이니 말이다.\n\n---\n\n<center> (-넘어가기 전에 질문: *스티밋*과 *스팀잇* 중 어느 표기를 사용하는 것이 더 일반적인가요 ㅠㅠ) </center>\n\n---\n\n### 하나, 암호화폐 자체에 관한 담론의 비중이 줄어들 필요가 있다\n\n스티밋은 **블락체인**을 기반으로 세워진 공동체이고, 블락체인 기술은 **화폐**와 같이 가치를 갖는 개념에 적용될 때에 충분한 사용 유인을 갖는듯 보인다. 그래서 블락체인 기술은 대부분이 크립토커런시를 발명하는 데에 적용되고 있다. 기술적인 흥미에 인한 것이든 그것이 **제도권 화폐**(나는 *실물화폐*나 *현물화폐* 등의 단어가 아닌 ***제도권 화폐*** 라는 단어를 선호한다.)의 보유량을 늘리기 위한 것이든 블락체인에 참여하는 사람들이 크립토커런시에 큰 관심을 갖는 것은 당연한 결과인 것이다. 그리고 그 연장선에서, 이 공동체의 구성원들에게 유익한 것으로 여겨지는 정보들에는 크립토커런시의 동향이나 가치 등락과 관련된 것이 다수를 차지하고 있다. 이 또한 공동체의 구성을 고려하자면 당연한 귀결이다. 하지만 그것이 당연하다고 해서, 만족할 만한 귀결이라고도 할 수 있는 것일까?\n\n<center> ![pexels-photo-159888.jpeg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcrJW1DWkthHQeVSH3UgXwy6dUAoQjNkrP6eeVBLmrxLw/pexels-photo-159888.jpeg)</center>\n\n<center>크립토커런시의 '가치'가 문제되는 상황은 바람직한가? </center>\n\n---\n\n내 생각을 먼저 밝히자면 이렇다. **암호화폐에 관한 담론의 비중이 과도하다면 스티밋은 지속될 수 없다.** 물론 현재의 스티밋은 이 방식으로도 충분히 작동할 수 있으며, 공동의 담론이 있다는 것 자체가 우리 공동체의 건전성을 유지하게끔 한다는 점을 부정할 수는 없다. 다만 나는 조금 더 먼 곳을 보아야 함을 생각한다. 지금은 마냥 꿈같은 이야기이지만, 크립토커런시가 제도권 화폐를 대체하는 날이 온다면 어떻게 할까? 그 날이 오지 않더라도, 크립토커런시가 제도권 화폐를 대체하고 현실 통화로 서기 위해서는 이러한 동향이 수그러들 필요가 있지 않을까? 스티밋에 어떤 글이 유용하다는 것은 구성원들의 관심이 그곳을 향함을 뜻한다. 그런데 스티밋에서 크립토커런시의 가치 등락이 주요 토픽이 된다는 것은 사람들이 스티밋을 하나의 사용 가능한 화폐가 아닌 **투자의 대상**으로 보고 있다는 점을 암시한다. 이 때 스티밋은 *제도권 통화를* ***대체하는 것이*** *아닌 이에 의존하는 형태로 존재하게 된다.* 그렇다면 그 가치는 제도권화폐로부터 독립적일 수도 없으며, 오히려 이에 의존하여 STM의 투자가치에 따라 스티밋공동체의 운명이 결정되는 경우에 처할 것이다.\n\n> 그러나 남아있는 문제 - 스티밋의 포맷은 충분히 다양한 담론을 유치하기에 충분한가? 또는, 충분히 큰 규모를 갖기에 적절한가? 태그 기능만으로 글이 분류된다는 점은 구성원들이 보다 주체적으로 글을 분류할 수 있게 한다는 점에서 바람직하다.그러나, 일정 속도 이상으로 글이 올라올 때 해당 태그에 글이 과포화될 수 있다는 점에서 우려를 갖는다. 게시글당 태그의 최대 허용량이 5개인 상태에서, 태그의 하위분류를 만들어 사용하기에도 어려움이 있어 보인다. 이 문제는 어떻게 해결될 수 있는가? 태그 허용량을 늘리는 것만으로는 불충분하지 않은가?\n\n### 둘, 'FFF'(Follow for Follow) 문화와 태그 팔로우 기능의 필요\n\n(최소한 한국의 경우)스티밋 생태계는 트위터와 블로그의 중간즈음의 형태를 갖고 있다. 어쩌면 이는 페이스북과 유사한 위치에 있다고도 할 수 있겠지만, 모든 글이 공개되어있고 일방적 팔로우만이 가능하다는 점에서 차이가 난다. 이 차이로부터 페이스북과 스티밋의 용도가 갈린다. 페이스북의 이용자들은 (최소한 *소비자*에 속하는 경우)쌍방향의 관계를 맺는 것만이 유효하기 때문에, 폐쇄적이고 상호적인 **관계**에 초점을 맞추어 사용하게 된다. 반면 스티밋은 나와 누군가의 관계가 아닌, 내가 *생산하는* 글의 유용성과 내가 *소비할* 글의 유용성을 **평가**하는 데에 초점을 둔다. 이에 따라 스티밋은 페이스북보다 유용한 정보를 주체적으로 생산하게끔 이용자를 유인하는 것이다. 페이스북 또한 페이지 기능을 통해 스티밋과 유사한 이용을 가능케 하지만, 이 때 소비자와 생산자의 명목은 여전히 구분한다는 점에서 페이스북은 일방적 매체로 남는다.
