      "body": "Well another trip to my local computer store and any sign of Nvidia TI anything or AMD are still gone.  I was lucky enough to pick up a card or two before Christmas. I wish I had a garage full of mining equipment, maybe someday it will be common for people to build mining cellars with solar or wind power access. \n\nRight now I am switching between Ravencoin RAV ( https://ravencoin.org/ )and Bitcore. BTX ( https://bitcore.cc/) recently took a big dump but so did the difficulty. If it does recover BTX is a risky but still profitable alt coin. Raven coin has been slowly increasing in value while drastically increasing in difficulty. Which is usually a good sign that the market is getting backed up by people buying in on the way up and not just bots pushing leverage spots. \n\nhttps://Crypto-bridge.org trades both of these coins and it makes it rather convenient to go to one spot.  Then I can trade BTC for Steem or steemcash on https://openledger.io to send here. It is one big cycle. \n\n~DRD",

Some of them shady, most of them with glaring security issues (engineered that way I suspect), and as 2014 rolled in we witnessed some of the largest crypto thefts involving millions. Yet bitcoin still survived on the backs of people with access to stash their money away from tyrannical governments withdrawing their hard earned money from their bank accounts. At the time Greece was going though financial ruin as is Venezuela , countless regions in South America as well as Indonesia.\n\nWith the decentralized exchanges I feel that the crypto community is finally answering the problem of shady practices of private centralized exchanges, the exchanges that found a niche in hidden fees, trade bots with handicap trading speeds, and loose or unknown information on the owner and developers and the actual asset value holdings of such exchanges. These shady exchanges were also vulnerable to promoting individuals through troll boxes that were responsible for leading pump and dump scams.       "body": "I am still dipping my toes into this other world of Steem and decentralized exchanges. I few weeks ago I created an account on Crypto-bridge. This was my first experience with a DEX. Most of the stuff on there is over my head at this point but I keep going back to figure more and more out. Using the exchange is just as easy as any other exchange. I was surprised by the volume and then number of coins/ tokens.  I picked Crypto-bridge because I wanted to get away from Cryptopia. I think their fees and issues were too much for me to keep my coins there. I do like the exchange otherwise. I was mostly on Cryptopia for BTX (Bitcore) Which I was mining and then when I found Crypto-bridge that solved my problems. I have had zero worries about depositing and withdrawing unlike other exchanges. \n\nI am very impressed with Crypto-bridge and I looked for more ui/ DEX then I found Openledger.io. These two are obviously built from the same foundations but the differences are the number of listings by default and the volume on open.tokens seems to be much higher. I am very happy I just found my old steemit account. because openledger.io happens to trade Steem and steem dollars. Sending Steem to my steemit wallet was effortless and instant. \nSo far I am very impressed on the BTS and Steem technology. This is just the start of the future I was hoping for.\nI have a lot to learn still but, I hope to become a stronger Steem supporter as time goes on.",
