But I'll just state one.</p><p>There was a school my friend and I were teaching before we gained admission into the university. They called us to come and help out. They were actually lacking teachers and then my school and that of my friend were on vacation.</p><p>We were actually spending most of our time on steemit. So we saw it as a plus to keep ourselves busy.</p><p>We honored the call and they gave me two subjects (Computer Studies and Cultural and Creative Art) to teach 3 classes, JSS1-3, and my friend was given three subjects (Social Studies, Civic Eductaion and Christian Religious Studies) to teach 3 classes also, JSS1-3. We didn't bother to discussed our salary because our thought was on our previous salary before we left.</p><p>We started teaching wholeheartedly. At the end of the month we received an alert, to our greatest surprise the amount was N5000 (five thousand naira). We couldn't believe it. Fortunately it was a working day, so we quickly went to the head teacher's office to lay our complaints. She was surprised also to see the alert because it wasn't coming from her. So she promised she'll talk to the director to let her know we didn't start at the middle of the month if that's her thought. Later on everything was sorted out and extra N9000 was added to me and N5000 to my friend. It was still somehow because my friend was taking 3 subjects while am taking 2 subjects, so the whole thing was confusing.</p><p>We requested for salary negotiation so as to have in mind our next payment. The director said we should do our best, the higher the topic we've covered will determine how much will be paid.</p><p>To cut the long story short, we did everything a teacher will do in a term including setting and markingbcontinuous assessment. And exams, except for conducting and marking which I promised to come back and carry out once they start since we will be going back to school.</p><p>When it was time to leave, the director said she'll transfer the money to us. His defensive life, rather than to say SORRY in repentance caused him the kingdom of Israel, which also sent him to the prison of torments, until his death. The story is in 1Samuel 15:13-34, 16:14.</p><p>Obviously, being offensive, defensive and reactive will not help any of us. We have to put on a humble spirit to say I AM SORRY to the other person even when we are not at fault. Because everyone was made to lead! You can lead from any angle, top, middle or beneath. What I mean by this is that, you can effect a change from whatever level you find yourself. But you must first **LEAD YOU.**\n\n*I personally think there are three (3) different categories of people;*\n\n**1. Those who make things happen**\n**2. Those who watch things happen and**\n**3. Those who things happen to.**\n\nI think the reason why there is so much confusion and frustration in our world today is simply because there are more people who sit back waiting for things to change for the better than those who take up the courage to make things (the better changes they greatly desire).\n\nTake the world for instance, every part of a nation you go, you hear people with highly formatted arguments and logical analysis of diverse problems devastating their country (Africa is a typical example). Everyone seems to know how to diagnose/remedy the ailment ravaging their country rapidly, but it all ends there.\n\nWe are still the same people who masterminds all the wrongs in our offices/business and market places and pour the blame on the government. We usually excuse the cop/policeman collecting bribe, the student indulging in examination malpractice or any society ill by saying my nation is corrupt, our leaders are corrupt, so what choice do we have? I think we have a choice.\n\nNow, wherever we've found ourselves on the chat; on top, in-between or below, we need to realize that we can lead, but first thing first. We need to unfold our hands, roll up our sleeves and get to work. Courage is a decision.”\n\nI want to share a little story. A schoolhouse was heated by an old-fashioned, pot-bellied coal stove in a little country. The fire was usually started by a little boy who had the job of coming to school everyday to keep the room warm before his teacher and classmates arrived.\n\nOne morning, on arrival, they found the schoolhouse engulfed  with fire. But the brave boy made up his mind not to die, and to the amazement of the physician, he did survive. But the fire destroyed so much flesh of his lower limb, it would almost be better if he had died.\n\nSince he was doomed to be a cripple, as he heard the physician telling his mum. He made up his mind that he would not be a cripple. But unfortunately there's no motor ability from the waist down. His thin legs just dangled there with no life in it. He was later released from the hospital, his mother will massage his legs everyday but there was no feeling and control.
