I used to think crypto is the nail in the coffin to banks, but given they already have all the money in the world, nothing is stopping the current powers that be from getting into crypto themselves. \n\nAlso i believe after the global reset takes place, who ever is left with cryptocurrency will be at the top of the next global pyramid of wealth. It would almost be the same system all over again. Haves and have-nots. Bitcoin was created with the current monetary model in mind in terms of the more money you have the more powerful you are. I think there needs to be the equivalent of bitcoin but in a more egalitarian approach. Proof Of Human if you will, where if you're born on this planet you are guaranteed basic human rights. This IMO would be the perfect coin/protocol/network  to use as a core for the multi-layer approach they're planning for bitcoin and the others.\n\nI have some theories as to a more egalitarian cryptocurrency, but I would need much more than these comments to explain it. \n\nWe need an entirely different system. One that somehow allows humans to move unanimously for the betterment of the planet and all its life systems. I don't quite know how we would get there, getting passed all the ideologies and brainwashing would be tough so it would almost have to be coded up and dropped on us the same way bitcoin was. A system that inherently bypasses politics, ideologies and all the cultural conditioning. No chance in hell is everyone ever going to agree on it, so it just needs to be created, and released to prove its effectiveness. Maybe attach an incentive to use the system, like a monetary reward in the beginning. But eventually it woud be great to become something like star trek where they stopped the idea of money all together.\n\nAnyways I may be in SE Asia for the reset so i might not even make it to see a better world.",

      "body": "Faitiche has two releases due out this month—a 7-inch from Ursula Bogner called Winkel Pong and another from label owner Jan Jelinek called Uguisubari. \n\nJelinek recorded Uguisubari under the alias G.E.S., which stands for Gesellschaft zur Emanzipation des Samples, his field recording-focused project. It kicks off the new Acoustic Surveillance Series, in which each release is related to \"a historical system for acoustic surveillance, beginning with Uguisubari.\" The word refers to a special type of floor in Japanese temples and castles that creates loud squeaks and groans when stepped on. Also referred to as \"nightingale floors,\" their purpose was to warn residents of intruders. \n\n\"During a residence of several months in Japan in 2014, I had the opportunity to mic and record nightingale floors at Nijo Castle and at the temple of Nanzen-ji,\" said Jelinek. \"In my makeshift studio in the basement of the Kyoto Goethe Institute, I then made numerous pieces—all using the same sound sources: an oscillator and an audio sampler with recordings of the chirping floorboards.\" \n\nWinkel Pong contains three brief compositions by Ursula Bogner, the late sound artist and researcher. (The name is rumored to be an alias of Jelinek's.) Jelinek launched the Faitiche label in 2008 with a compilation of Bogner recordings supposedly spanning 1968 to '88, recounting her life story in the liner notes. The label says the material for this new 7-inch came from the same tape archive used for that compilation.       "body": "The Cellar, a live music and dance club in Oxford, is under threat of being closed down. \n\nOne of the venue's promoters began circulating a petition earlier this week in hopes of defending the 250-capacity space. So far, it's had more than 8,000 signatures, with the goal set at 10,000. The current landlords intend to turn the basement into a retail space once the current leaseholder, who sublets the unit as a nightclub, moves out early next year. \n\nIn 2017 alone, The Cellar has hosted the likes of Avalon Emerson, Answer Code Request, Lena Willikens and Peverelist, and it's widely regarded as one of the city's most important independent music venues. There's been an outpouring of support from the UK dance music community to raise awareness of the petition. \n\n\"We have a solicitor looking into the legal side of things for us,\" venue manager Tim Hopkins told RA. \"But at this stage we are very keen to open up direct talks with the landlords to try and find a mutually beneficial outcome to this issue. We are hoping to help them understand just how important The Cellar is to the community, not just local too, we have so many national and international touring acts.\" They've also been getting advice from Music Venue Trust, he said, which is a charity coalition created to defend grassroots local music businesses. \n\nYou can sign the petition to save The Cellar here.",

      "body": "Subtext has announced a new Yair Elazar Glotman album called Compound. \n\nIt'll be the electroacoustic producer, sound designer and classically trained contrabass player's second Subtext release under his given name, and the label says it picks up where his Études LP from 2015 left off. While Études saw Glotman working as a solo artist to uncover what he called the \"hidden sound\" of the contrabass, Compound is rooted in trio improvisations featuring two more Berlin-based experimental musicians: pianist Rieko Okuda and percussionist Marcello Silvio Busato. \n\nAfter guiding the group's sessions, where each artist had the \"autonomy to emphasize the microscopic details of certain sounds,\" Glotman edited and layered the recordings to form two 20 minute-long \"structures... [that] utilize the full spectral potential of each instrument, revealing new rhythmic patterns and harmonic content in the process.\" \n\nGlotman, who first appeared on Subtext in 2014, has also made leftfield techno as Ketev and ambient-leaning material as Blessed Initiative.       "body": "Dream Catalogue is changing hands and reissuing some of its most popular records. \n\nThe news first surfaced in the form of a Facebook statement this past weekend from label founder David Russo, AKA HKE, in which he apologized for erratic behaviour and explained a years-long struggle with depression and anxiety. \n\n\"My intention is to take a back seat for quite a while, maybe a year or two,\" he said, \"so I have personal time to sort out my mental health and try and bring some normality back to my life. This will be the last you hear from me for some time.\" \n\nToday, a new statement appeared on the Dream Catalogue website, with two entities called Danaseus and Mykena claiming themselves as the new owners of the label. The new operations will be split into three phases, starting with a reissue phase that features vinyl pressings of Russo's 2814 LPs, including the first-ever vinyl release of the self-titled debut, both available for order today. Other fan favourite albums will be reissued on cassette starting on October 1st. \n\nFollowing that is the End Series, which will feature 16 new releases as originally planned and organized by Russo, followed by the Chaos Era, which starts next summer, with details still TBA. \n\nFor more on Dream Catalogue check out July's label of the month feature.",
