The 10k is about to start.\n\n\n\n<h3><em>Morning routine</em></h3>\n\n\n\nMy alarm went off at 4 in the morning, it was September so it was still dark outside. But the breakfast was planned for 5 and we had to be in our corral at 7. So it gave me enough time to get physically and mentally ready for the run.\n\nWith the10K (and also with the 21.1K, but that’s another story) I always want to shower beforehand. – but Li, why shower before the run, that’s just crazy and a waste of water?- Well, no, I shower beforehand to warm up my muscles and to not cool down too much when waiting to start. At around 4.30 I woke up Jay, I let my parents sleep for a bit longer because they can’t come for breakfast with us. Jay gets ready pretty fast, so I gave him a half hour of sleep extra.\n\nWe went for breakfast around 5. I managed to smuggle in my jar of peanut butter and a bagel, only to find out they had bagels. That made sense, it is a runners food after all. Jay got some bread and fruit, which don’t work for me really, and I was content with my one bagel and peanut butter. We really took our time to wake up and eat slowly.\n\n\nAfter 6 it was time to walk from the hotel towards the corrals. My parents were awake and ready when we came back, so they walked with us until we had to split up. We gave of our gEARbags at the expo and found our way into the corral. It was Jay who had to drop down one for me today. \n\n\n<h3><em>The run</em></h3>\n\nFinally, it was time to start. The villains kept a close eye on us during this run. The cold and the liters of water intake did not go well with our blatters. So the start was pretty fun. My parents were waiting at the start, which was the sign for me to throw my water bottle and sweater at them. After we passed the first kilometre, we ran straight into Studios and took a right turn at the entrance. TOILET BREAK. We laughed really hard about this.\n\n\nhttp://www.disneylili.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/782501998-683x1024.jpg\n<i>Making funny faces already</i>\n\nThe first 5 kilometers went pretty easy. After that, we got a bit of trouble. The burger Jay ate the night before was not really working for him. The poor thing burped up onions for the last half of the run. And to top it off, somehow my sock (made for running) creased underneath my toe, so it felt like a little cat litter stone was trapped under my foot. That really hurt. We decided to take things a little bit slower after this.The both of us went pretty fast already and like I said with [the 5k](http://www.disneylili.com/2018/11/11/run-disney-weekend-5k/), I had to save up for the 21.1K. So, we stopped for a minute to check my shoes and socks, and slowly picked up some pace again.\n\nhttp://www.disneylili.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/781501786-e1544148513121-683x1024.jpg\n<i>A group of Dutch ladies with Jay in background</i>\n\n\n<h6>Dangerous Discovery</h6>\n\nWhen we ran from backstage into Discoveryland, we came upon something very dangerous for the runners. We managed to dodge a little metal thing in which the doors lock, it was a solid invisible thing stuck to the cement. All of the dangers were marked with some kind of fluorescent spray, except for this one. While we passed it, a runner came by with high speed and managed to fall over the thing. He went straight down with a scorpion-ish faceplant tumbleweed drop down. It looked like it really hurt and I noticed that all of us who saw it were pretty taken aback by the fall. It could have really injured the guy, luckily he got up, stretched and picked up his pace while yelling “I’M OKAY!”\n\n\n\n<h6>Almost there</h6>\n\nThe next 3K wasn’t that big of a deal. Jay and I made sure to keep a steady pace by talking a lot to each other so we knew we had enough air left. This technique also makes sure your heart rate won’t go up to the point that your muscles are tiredout to quickly.\n\nhttp://www.disneylili.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/783000395-683x1024.jpg\n<i>Proud runners in front of the castle</i>\n\nThe last 2K was a hell for Jay. I saw some blood on his shirt and wondered where it came from. Apparently, his shirt was rubbing his nipples too much and this caused the bleeding. So we went looking for the first aid guys, to put some bandages on. He was probably the 900<sup>th</sup> person who stopped by for taping up. It really hurt him, I couldn’t imagine the pain he was in. Luckily, his adrenaline kicked in with the 9K marker on the route. This meant we were almost there.\n\nhttp://www.disneylili.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/785506115-683x1024.jpg\n<i>Taking it slowly the last few miles</i>\n\n\nYou run the last kilometer over the show stage of the Moteur Stunt Action show and then take a right turn to the finish line. Hand in hand we ran the last kilometer and finished with a big smile and a lot of relief. We survived! I went to the physical therapist for a moment to get myself Kinesio taped up. My hip was whining again and I noticed that my calves were intense. I couldn't roll it out so she taped me up for the next day. It was really a colourful work of art on my leg.\n\n\nMy parents already sat down at the restaurant because we still had to have dinner. This evening we ate at Vapiano’s. For you who don’t know Vapiano’s, it is an Italian restaurant and they have a lot of dishes to choose from. My mother and I went for some pasta and the guys got big ass pizzas, which really looked delicious. After dinner, it was time to get ready for bed again.       "body": "http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/783000395-820x312.jpg\nSo This post is divided in three sections, the 5k, the 10k and the half marathon.\n<h3><em>Yes you have read this correctly, I ran the 36k challenge and I SURVIVED!!!</em></h3>\nAfter packing double the amount of clothing, sportswear and dress-ups, we were off to Disney Paris for the Magic Run Marathon Weekend. A long-time friend of mine went with her in-laws to run the 5k, Jay ran the 10k along with me and the 21k I had to do on my own (with the support of my parents and Jay off course).\n\nOnce arrived at hotel Santa Fe, we dropped our stuff and headed for the runners Expo to pick up our gEARbags. It was a lot better arranged than last time.  It was really clear where to go for our pick up and what to do next.\n\nJay and I split up, he had to pick up his stuff at the 10k area, and I went to the 36k challenge area. We picked up our stuff and did the mandatory pre-run mugshots.\n\nhttp://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/788001161-199x300.jpg\n\nBy the way, what was in my gEARbag was amazing! A bag full of shirts, I actually got five shirts, one for each run and extra for the 31k and 36k challenge.\n<em>– remind me next time to not pack any shirts, for I came back with more than I could actually fit in my bag.-</em>\n\nhttp://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/run-shirts-300x250.png\n\nAfter all the organizational things, we went into the park for a moment, because we knew we wouldn’t get a lot of park time with a run on each day. The park was quite busy, so we strolled around for about two hours and then it was time to get changed for run number 1.\n\n<h3>5K Run</h3>\nThe 5k took place on the arrival day, Friday-evening at eight. I jumped in my slave Leia outfit and attached the number. Checked if every clothing item would stay in place during the run. And it actually did!\n\nhttp://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/781000518-200x300.jpg\n\nMy friend had arranged with her family to all go in a star wars themed outfit as well, so it was quite fun to run with them. We were all there, and there was even two Leia’s. So we met up and walked towards our starting point together. I was supposed to start from corral B, but my co-StarWars-stars had to start from corral C, so I dropped down one, and off we went.\n\nhttp://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/786500693-300x200.jpg\n\nAfter a kilometre, I noticed that my friend and her family were going somewhat too fast for what I had planned out for myself. I wanted to save my energy because I still had two more runs to go the next days. So I slowed down and told them I would catch up with them towards the finish line. And I did.\n\nWe caught up afterward and took some pictures together, we were after all dressed as the same character from different parts of the films. We had such a great time together, but unfortunately, we didn’t see each other during the weekend very much, we had a very different time schedule, for I had to run the next two days.\n\nhttp://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/788420164-200x300.jpg\n\nAfter the run, the four of us (my parents, Jay and me) went to Annette’s to grab some food. I settled for a simple cheeseburger, for I knew that wouldn’t give me too much problems during the 10k the next morning.  It was also pretty late to get food, so it had to be easily digestible. Jay on the other hand, chose to grab a burger with bacon and onions and everything I warned him about not getting, because that would give him problems during the 10k. And he really got what was coming for him, poor thing.       "body": "http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_6097-820x312.jpg\n\n<h2>Day 1</h2>\nIn the light of better late than never, I am going to tell you about my (not so) monthly trip to Disney Paris. Today’s issue: April.\n\nWe went to Disney with my parent’s friends and their children. One of the children has a disability and is therefore bound to a wheelchair. This made it a very different weekend than our usual visits.\n\nWe went with a party of eight total and booked our stay in Hotel Sequoia Lodge. We got a total of 4 rooms and two of them were disability rooms. The other two were normal family rooms and joined to the disability rooms. This was already a good start. The rooms were spacious, the beds soft (but not too soft) and everything was set up in a way that you could easily drive up to it with a wheelchair.\n\nThe three of us arrived around 9 in the morning and the other half of the party arrived between 1 and 3 in the afternoon. As a result, my parents and I went into the park that morning and in the afternoon we met up with our friends and strolled around Disney Village and did some pre-shopping and searched for dinner. Studios exists mostly out of thrilling rides and only three of us could and wanted to ride them. So we split up and went our own way to speed and excitement. The others roamed around the park and checked out the shops and the shows.\n\n<center>http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_6148-e1535119829936-300x167.jpg</center>\n\nWe decided it was a wrap and went to Disneyland Park. We basically split up there again. After we roamed some shops on Mainstreet U.S.A., the thrill seekers went to the coaster like big thunder mountain and space mountain. The other half of the party went to Dumbo the flying elephant and tried to get on Peter Pan. Sadly they couldn't ride peter pan because the cast members weren't able to evacuate them in case of emergency -safety for all, people-. We met up at It’s a small world and took a leisurely boat ride around the world.\n\n<center>http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_6165-300x200.jpg</center>\n\n\nNext on the list was the Princesses vs. Pirates parade, this was a seasonal show wherein the Pirates would battle the Princesses -DUH- in a sing and dance off. It was a very colorful show, with a very catchy song and dance. The amazing thing about this show was that it was very interactive. We could stand in the middle of the Main Street Square and you actually stood in the middle of the show. It was really good, well executed and you could get closer to the characters than ever.\n\n<center>http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_6178-e1535120993114-200x300.jpg</center>\n\nAfter doing some attractions it was time to eat. We went to la Fuego and sat down for a while. My mother and I weren’t hungry yet so we only drank something. It was beginning to get pretty late and Illuminations was not far off. The party decided to do some shopping and just walk around the park some more. Eventually, my mother and I needed some food, so we sat down at the Lucky Nugget saloon while the rest kept on walking around the park.\n\nWhen it was time to sit down for the park closing time show (Illuminations) we searched for a spot and watched the show. My parents had their VIP spots due to the Infinity passes so they stood in the middle. We were left with five and a wheelchair, we had to basically ride over the people to make it to the disabled spot, but we made it in time for the show. Now we were left with three because only two people could accompany the wheelchair for the show, so we searched for a spot. We actually chose a perfect spot, we could easily see the show, our families at the VIP and disabled section and had a lot of space around us. After the show, it was time to leave and say goodbye to the park for now.\n\nThe bar in the hotel was still serving, so we sat down and drank something. The whole party was exhausted but in a good satisfied way. It was time for bed again.\n\n<h2>Day 3</h2>\nOn the last day, our group split up again. My parents and I decided we go into the park and do the last things we wanted to do and do some shopping. The other half went home at around 1 in the afternoon, they had a long drive ahead of them.\n\nThe three of us went into the park, rode a couple of rides like Indiana Jones and the Big Thunder Mountain. It does not represent any of the other franchises of Planet Hollywood. This is just my honest opinion and my experience with the restaurant.*\n\n<center>http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/planet-hollywood-300x225.jpg</center>\n\n<h2>The Food</h2>\nPlanet Hollywood has a variety of dishes. They have a burger menu, pasta menu, pizza menu, a grill menu and a children menu. There will we something for everyone. Because this restaurant is a budget-friendly restaurant made for families to eat at, we always end up eating there when we visit Disney for a weekend.\n\nThe first time we visited the food was amazing. The spareribs tender and fell off the bone, just perfect. The L.A. Lasagne was just exquisite, it had that nice crunch of the parmesan, the inside was cooked to perfection, the pasta easy to eat and the sauce all made it come together. The pasta Chicken &amp; Broccoli is a great dish to go for if you want to keep eating healthy while being surrounded by fast food.\n\nThe last times we’ve been there was a complete turnover. It felt like they do not care about their guests anymore, just in and out as fast as they can and you can taste it in the food.\n\nApart from the spareribs, the food is just a bit bland. And their showstopper, the L.A. Lasagne, keeps getting worse. The ground beef is just dry and the pasta feels like it isn’t cooked at all, it couldn’t even be cut with a steak knife. The only positive thing on the plate is the sauce, which you need desperately.\n\n<h2>The service</h2>\nThe first time we visited everything was perfect, we even went back the next day for more. The service was great, the personnel was friendly and they really did their best to give you a nice dining experience. But like I said above, the last few times it feels like they only care about making money and not about giving their guests a good dining experience. Do not get me wrong, some of the personnel are really friendly and do their best to serve you as best as they can.\n\nBut lately, the whole vibe is a bit of a let-down. If only one of the party is done eating, they rip the empty plate off your table, no matter if everyone else is still eating. It felt a bit hasty like they wanted us to eat quickly and buzz off to make room for another family.\n\nThe last visit, we made a comment about the L.A. Lasagne and, with a bit of a sigh, got the option to get a new one or choose anything else from the menu, so he went for the spareribs because those were actually great. And so one of us had to wait for his dish to come, while the rest had already finished eating. We got no compensation for the troubles whatsoever. They charged the full price for the new dish, no free drink for one of us, nothing, nothing to make up for everything.\n\nSo after some words back and forth we decided to take our losses and pay our bill. The woman who helped us was already agitated and suddenly the pin machine refused to work properly, after which she ranted at us for sabotaging the machine, while we hadn’t even touched it, except for the pin number and the OK button (what can go wrong right, machines are soooo reliable all the time). She literally burst out in “you’re fucking with me right now.” The second time the machine worked properly and we left, with a crying two-year-old and a bit of a sour aftertaste.\n\n<h2>The Venue</h2>\nThe first time you go on the stairs the surroundings are really awesome. There are movie props everywhere and you see something new every time you move your head. It is big and spacious, at least it was the first time we went there. There are two floors and a little merchandise shop. It is the film version of Hard Rock Café.\n\nBut over the past 10 years, nothing has changed. More tables and chairs have put in, which makes it feel a bit cramped now, so again they can serve a larger crowd and that means more money.\n\nThe decorations haven’t changed at all. It has a bit of an old and outdated feeling nowadays. It’s still cool to see the props, but there aren’t any new ones. Also with all the new Disney Movies coming out is really a missed opportunity, with there being so little Disney film props to find.\n\n<h2>To conclude</h2>\nA couple of years ago we discovered Planet Hollywood and it was an amazing and budget-friendly experience. The food was good, the menu had variety and was different from the other restaurants in Village. The people who worked there were friendly and did their best to serve you a nice dinner. And the venue was really cool.\n\nBut over the last couple of years, nothing has really changed for the better. Some of the food is really bland and sometimes not even eatable, the venue is feeling overcrowded and outdated and some of the personnel have lost their friendly and homely touch.\n\nI won’t be going back there for a while, but if you want to check it out for yourself, please feel free and let me know what you think.\n\nDon’t forget!\nResteem, like, comment, subscribe and sprinkle some fairy dust!",

      "body": "http://disney.lilysbakery.nl/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/thumbnail-820x312.png\n<h2>Nailed it!</h2>\nHey guys,\n\nThis is my first nail art video/tutorial for you to watch or re-create if you like.\n\n<h3>Let's get painting</h3>\nFirst of all, you will need some nail polishes:\n- Red\n- Black\n- Black glitter (preferably holographic glitter)\n- White\n- Base coat (to protect your natural nails from staining)\n- Top coat (to protect your design from chipping after 1 hour)\n\nStart off by giving all your nails a nice basecoat, then let them dry for a couple of minutes.\nThen you are going to put on a layer (or two if necessary) of the black glitter polish on every nail except the ring finger (let that dry).\nPaint your ring finger red. Give your thumbnail and middle finger a red tip.\nTake the white and put some dots all over your pinkie and pointer finger. They were not as big as you would buy them in the parks, but that did not matter because they were fun to make and very nice to eat.\nUsing lye is prohibited for personal use in the Netherlands, so I had to find a way which did not require a lye-water solution. Turns out, you can use a baking soda-water solution to get almost the same effect as the lye solution.\n<h3>Let's get Baking</h3>\n<h5>The Dough:</h5>\n<ul class=\"ingredients-list__group\">\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\">style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">100 gr Plain White Flour</li>\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\"> style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">2 tsp fast action dried yeast (or 42g fresh)</li>\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\">style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">260 ml water (lukewarm)</li>\n\t<li>900 gr Plain White Flour</li>\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\">1 tbsp brown sugar</li>\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\">2 tbsp Salt</li>\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\">260 ml milk (lukewarm)</li>\n\t<li class=\"ingredients-list__item\">80 g unsalted butter (melted)</li>\n</ul>\n<ol>\n\t<li>Mix 100 gr of flour, the yeast, and the water together into a bowl. Cover it with cling-film and put it in a warm (and preferably humid) place for about 3 hours (more is even better). This is your starter.</li>\n\t<li>Watch a Disney movie while you wait.</li>\n\t<li>When the starter is bubbling enough add the rest of the ingredients and knead for about 10 minutes to make a firm dough. When your dough is firm enough put it back in the bowl and cover it with a warm dampened kitchen towel and cling-film again. Leave this in the same warm place for about 1,5 hours.</li>\n\t<li>Watch another Disney movie.</li>\n\t<li>The dough is ready when you can push it and it gently springs back. Now get ready for rolling and shaping!</li>\n\t<li>After shaping, put a warm damp kitchen towel over the pretzels and leave for about 30min to rise again.</li>\n</ol>\n<h6>Shaping the dough</h6>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Knock back the dough until a bit of a smooth ball has formed.</li>\n\t<li>Push the ball a bit flat (not too much, leave the air in there) and cut it into 12 to 15 parts. Eyeball it a bit to see if you have a big piece enough to work with.</li>\n\t<li>Now warm up your hands (that makes rolling easier) or ask someone with warm hands to help you. Roll out the little pieces into very long ropes (60cm) with the middle thicker than the ends. Shape immediately for they tend to shrink fast.</li>\n\t<li>The dough is elastic so it can resist some pulling, but not too much. To shape the Mickey form, first form the original pretzel shape. <em>see picture below. </em>Then grab the to sides at the top part and twist them to form the ears. This may take a bit of reforming, shaping, and pulling, but once the lay down they won't move much.</li>\n</ul>\n<img class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https://prettysimplesweet.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Homemade-Soft-Pretzels-4.jpg\" width=\"418\" height=\"407\" />\n<h5>Finishing your pretzels</h5>\n<ul>\n\t<li>3 tbsp Baking Soda</li>\n\t<li>1 L water</li>\n\t<li>Rock salt (topping)</li>\n\t<li>Cheese (topping)</li>\n\t<li>Any savory topping you like</li>\n</ul>\n<ol>\n\t<li>Bring the water to a boil in a large pot or use the water heater and put the water in a large bowl, add the baking soda.</li>\n\t<li>Dump the pretzels in the water solution until they float (one at a time) and lay them on a baking tray lined with a baking sheet or paper.</li>\n\t<li>Spinkle with any topping you prefer (I only did salt and went a bit overboard, so watch out with that)</li>\n\t<li>Bake your pretzel for around 16 min (depending on your over) on 200 degrees Celcius.
