      "body": "BTC has well consolidated into the second phase of it's bear season by continuing the sell off this week. There's been virtually no signs of bulls and prices just kept crashing and crashing. In this post I will attempt to give a view on a short term time frame to play out in the next week or two, then I will consider options for longer time frames.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmS8yD9ecuB2e2BZ8BuUqdHf8eGS7mR7ZHL9owG2Zx1ged/image.png)\n\nIn my last post on BTC I was analysing the direction of price action and the anticipated levels of support: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@digitalisbetter/the-big-reveal. As it turned out BTC had hit those levels dead on and as we speak, we sit on the $3,700 support region (55 Monthly EMA yellow line). \n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdqFG44y6Fxvq6xFEuBjRWv8kivuQrEvibu6dANT3rrXS/image.png)\n<b>Shorter Time Frame</b>\nFrom shorter time frame perspective, 1 to 4 weeks, I think we're due for a rally. We're sitting on significant level of support that will need a few re-tests before being broken. Equally, we show signs of exhaustion on momentum indicators. Daily RSI has been oversold for nearly two weeks now and at its lowest it hit value around 9, which is the lowest historic daily RSI level recorded for BTC. \n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdzgcMPNwfnpHxJJN8vkV6igAW1EVZDRLzGfDgSWCq754/image.png)\n\nThe daily histogram on MACD has levelled out and we can expect it to reverse at any point now.\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZjkhCwDGt3fqyBV5Ko7R7HBbUj2nW5DpRugZxSZ8ymXm/image.png)\n\nWhen zoomed in to 4hr we can see strong signs of bullish divergence, with 3 peak forming now.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXLdTtogXifoapfm8oz2sZCuSPCU3Gg3dHDao5eAwHsCW/image.png)\n\nPrice actions has formed a descending channel, which is also a bullish formation.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmaGusoZvTk7ZsdnnbyqiFMfVzijkWNti1ZjPoHr7BcQ3b/image.png)\n\nAll these signs are pointing at an upcoming rally, so let's consider what levels can be considered as targets.\n\nThe target from price action pattern falls around $4,800.\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZrco2CATWs9NT92ngj2GASiH64gsBBnpmMgBf2djVjeD/image.png)\n\nIf you overlay it on top of fibonacci extension tool, you can see that it aligns well to 0.382 fib level. Taking both factors into consideration, i think that a retracement to $4,800 level is a very conservative projection and can has high probability of playing out.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmR9TroGJwTaJ1CqLiNSQPCamoAMiPLkD49UJ55YuF6Jba/image.png)\n\nI think that there is a possibility that we will see a test of previous support around the $6,000k level, but it is difficult to say without seeing the price action behaviour over the next few weeks.\n\n<b>Longer Time Frame </b>\nFrom the longer time frame perspective, one thing that got my attention is how strong and decisive the move to the downside was. There was virtually no moves to the upside with just continuous sell off. What this makes me think is that \nwe're probably more bearish then we were hoping to. The force of this move implies even more downside to come, which as I have indicated in my previous post, will mean breaking of weekly and monthly supports.       "body": "In my last post on 20th of October is have written about a critical move approaching in crypto: [here](https://steemit.com/crypto/@digitalisbetter/big-move-in-cryptos-approaching-critical-date-5th-nov-18). Turns out that post was right about a couple of things:\n\n1/ I said that although the patterns were indicating the critical move to occur around November 5th, I thought it was going to take longer than that, as the patterns looked too tight. Turns out that we had to wait until November 14th before that move occurred. \n2/ We now had a decisive move that shows us the direction for the upcoming weeks...or months...\n\nThe cards have been revealed and the bears have won. We have seen a bearish break from a descending triangle in Bitcoin that was also supported by the volume. The 55 Exponential Moving Average (yellow) has crossed above the shorter term averages few weeks ago, which is not helping.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNnAg6JKJwxotSH4DRfsegGDGWJQkERQGLTgDwtaGf8Ji/image.png) \n\nDaily MACD that was in symmetrical triangle pattern for all this year has now also broken bearish.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXzSceTv9uJvkzqjgJdCmjEp5xhhJc5CSDKoNW2cCjkXC/image.png)\n\nSo where are we going to from here? First of all, we're sitting on a bottom of a channel (yellow line) that has been supporting the price as far back as the charts go, see below on the view from Bitstamp that goes back to 2012. We should expect a good level of support here.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdHMnqPXqnt5kSungVSNAuGTcPKim3m1hNtAsixNo3BpS/image.png)\n\nIf we break the channel, the next stop for BTC is around 4,200 USD, where we have a 200 week moving average support (white line). \n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWmtqJSWgnSttaiThbgcyNY7HfVvWArSzdWvszXckp8eL/image.png)\n\nLet's hope that the price will bounce of that support and back into the channel. By then, we will have broken weekly and monthly supports as well as a long term bull channel that dates back to Bitcoin conception. I'm a strong believer in crypto and I think it will hold, however we will only know for sure when we get there.       "body": "Cryptos are stuck in a consolidation with very little volatility for about 5 days now, since surprising Tether news triggered flash rally across the board.\n\nMajor coins are giving us a bit of sign of the next big move approaching. Etherum, EOS, IOTA and NEO are sharing something in common. All of them point at approaching high volatility move by tracing big, symmetric triangle price action pattern. Annoyingly, with symmetric triangles we can't be sure whether the move will be up or down...however, what it does tell us is when. If you ask me, I think these triangles edges are a bit 'steep' in this time frame. Hence I think what will happen is, we will see a breakout around November 5th and a price move that will 'enlarge' or 'stretch' current pattern, but will not make the 'full' pattern target. What do I mean? In this scenario we have several key trigger points: 1/Bullish price breakout from triangle 2/surpassing previous high 3/breaking above 200 day EMA. Pretty strong case for a bull.       "body": "Hi Everyone,\n\nBTC has been correcting for nearly a week now. This was preceeded by a rise from $6,400 region to nearly $10k! (We missed it by $10, dang...so close...). From an Elliot wave perspective we can see a 5 waves count as well (although not the easiest!).\n\n<h2><center>Please up vote if you like this post! </center></h2>\n\nWe are in the ABC correction now and we have seen pretty much non-stop sell off with little retracement stops since it started. The question I'm wondering about is:  What's next? I would appreciate if during the class you can share a  short term strategy that can be utilized by new traders, as in a strategy that doesn't require to be in a trade for days but can be executed within few hours.
