      "body": "Selbst wer mit dem Pokerspiel nichts am Hut hat, von Phil Ivey hat fast jeder schon mal gehört.\n\nIn dieser Artikelserie erfahrt ihr viele interessante Details rund um Phil Ivey, die längst nicht jedem Poker-Begeisterten bekannt sind.\n\n - Teil 1: No home Jerome\n - Teil 2: Das Flint-Game\n - Teil 3: Die jungen Wilden\n - Teil 4: Heads Up gegen Amarillo Slim\n - Teil 5: Ivey gegen Moneymaker\n - Teil 6: Ivey gegen Paul “Action Jack” Jackson\n - Teil 7: Die Corporation gegen Andy Beal\n\nUnd auch nach dem siebten Teil geht's noch weiter!\n\n----------\n\n**Teil 1: No home Jerome**\n\nJerome Graham wurde geweckt von der Sonne, die am Horizont des atlantischen Ozeans aufging. Unterhalb der Strandpromenade von Atlantic-City hatte er im Sand geschlafen.\n\nIn der letzten Nacht hatte er all sein Geld beim Seven-Card-Stud im Taj-Mahal verloren. Für den letzten Bus in seine Heimatstadt Roselle war es schon zu spät. Also schlief er unterhalb der Strandpromenade und wartete auf den ersten Morgenbus...\n\nEs war das erste Mal, dass er das so gemacht hatte und er war sich sicher, dass es nicht das letzte Mal war. Scheinbar brauchte es solche Fehlschläge um sich in den späten 90er Jahren eine Bankroll zusammen zu spielen. Bis zu 16 Stunden lange Sessions im Taj-Mahal-Casino auf immer höheren Limits gegen immer bessere Gegner um immer mehr Geld. Jede Hand wird analysiert, selbst die gewonnen Hände. Dann einen warmen Platz finden um auf den nächsten Bus nach Hause zu warten.\n\nJerome’s Callcenter-Job, indem er Geld für die örtliche Polizei einwarb, half seine stets schwankende Stud-Bankroll zumindest etwas auszugleichen.\n\nAls er besser wurde und in den Limits aufstieg, musste er mehr Zeit in Atlantic-City verbringen. Sein Job und die jeweils 2-stündige Busfahrt hielten ihn nur der Action fern. Also zog er aus seinem Elternhaus in Roselle aus und mietete sich ein Apartment in Atlantic-City. Jede Minute die er konnte, verbrachte er in den Pokerräumen. So lernte er die Spieler kennen, die Dealer und die Manager.\n\nDie Geschichte von seinen Nächten unterhalb der Strandpromenade verbreitete sich und so kam er zu seinem Spitznamen:\n\n**“No home Jerome”**\n\nJerome’s Poker-Kenntnisse und Fertigkeiten verbesserten sich beständig, während er im folgenden Jahr in den Limits aufstieg. Bald schon spielte er in den höchsten Stud-Games der Stadt bei Limits von $75 / $150 oder sogar $200 / $400 wenn sich genug Spieler fanden, die zehn oder zwanzigtausend $ parat hatten, um sie zu verspielen.\n\nEr kündigte seinen Callcenter-Job und lebte nun nur noch vom Geld aus seinen Pokerrunden. Sehr zum Ärger seiner Eltern wurde aus Jerome ein professioneller Spieler.\n\nEtwa ein Jahr, nachdem er nach Atlantic City umgezogen war, ging er ins Taj-Mahal-Casino und verkündete, dass heute sein Geburtstag wäre. Er war gerade 21 Jahre alt geworden, endlich alt genug um legal in den Casinos von New Jersey spielen zu dürfen.\n\nDie Leute wunderten sich, wie er es die letzten Jahre geschafft hatte hier zu spielen… Natürlich mit einem gefälschten Ausweis. Er zeigte seinen echten Führerschein. Sein Name war nicht Jerome, er hieß Phillip Dennis Ivey Jr..
