| title | Making Your Money Work - Little by Little |
| body | Little by Little Gradual Gains Produces Discipline and True Wealth You heard the phrase "Rome was not built over night". Actually it took over 800 years to build Rome. Often times, we want to achieve major milestones in life but over look the little things that God pays attention too. Another phrase we hear is “the devil is in the details”. The truth is, God is in the details. Little things mean a lot in Gods eyes. It was Jesus was took two loaves of bread and a few fish to feed the multitude. God made much out of little. It was Gideon who was able to do more with little than he intended to do with large numbers. It was Jesus who said "if you have faith as size of a mustard seed, you can speak to the mountain and it will move." God can do more with your little than you can do with the entire whole. Solomon shares key life principles in Proverbs 13:11 that instructs us on how to obtain true wealth. Solomon compares the results of obtaining dishonest money and saving money little by little. The difference in dishonest money and money saved by honest means is that one doesn’t not stay around. Ask yourself, is my money staying with me or leaving fast. Solomon simply provides us the dos and don’ts in obtaining true wealth. Many people lose their life savings by investing in bad deals. Life principles shared with us in Proverbs 13:11: “Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow” 1. The first life principle: There's no cheap way to true wealth What is considered dishonest money these days? So many people are looking for short cuts or a cheap way to success but find themselves in ruins. The Bible tells us that "He [the wicked man] will not become rich, nor will his wealth endure" (Job 15:29) Often times, we look at stealing, robbing or cheating as mean of dishonest money. The fact is that dishonest money could be simply as using God’s money for our personal use. The Lord Almighty asked, “Will a man rob God?” Yes, in tithes and offerings. Any money that comes in your hand and we do not give God's tithe and offering is dishonest money. In the early church, a couple named Ananias and Sapphira sold a piece of property. Ananias kept part of the money for him with his wife’s full knowledge and brought the rest and put it at the apostle’s feet. Peter asked Ananias how did Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Because of lying to the Holy Spirit and possession of Dishonest money, Ananias and his wife died. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. At the end, he bought some land and hung himself on a tree on the land he purchased with 30 pieces of silver. Dishonest money will do more harm to you than good. Dishonest money has a devastating effect on a believer’s life. I have learned that God does not bless dishonest gains. Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it (Proverbs 1:19). "Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is crooked though he be rich" (Proverbs 28:6) An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning will not be blessed at the end (Proverbs 20:21). 2. Second Life Principal: Little by Little produces discipline and contentment When you work hard for something and save for it, you appreciate it. You have a sense of pride and gratification for accomplishing something that took a while to obtain. Today, you see the youth are impatient because we provide everything for them. They have an expectation of instant delivery. There was a time; we used to save up just to purchase a 25¢ comic book. We cherished the moment when the cashier handed us the comic book and read it multiple times. Today, that same 25¢ comic book is worth over $100 dollars. Now a days, when a new game console or game come out, children asked their parents to pre-order it and place it on their credit card. There’s no discipline in showing our children how to save. The concept of little by little has been erased from this generation. If you ask an elder of a church who can testify how they appreciate the times when their parents made them work for what they wanted. Working long hours in the cotton field just to spend a days pay to purchase a loaf of bread. Little by little produced discipline and contentment. You will appreciate things just a little more when you take the correct path. Don’t get caught up in the thrill of having NOW! “Have it right now” mentality. A cellular company recently advertises their new slogan JUMP. The commercial states “two years is too long to wait” upgrade your phone now. Well, instead of jumping into jail plan, I recommend a new program called WAIT. Be patient and don't jump into something you will regret the rest of your life. If your want to JUMP, praise God and Jump for Jesus. Isaiah instructed his WAIT campaign many years ago. His slogan stated "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)" 3. Steady plodding brings prosperity "Steady plodding bring prosperity" (Proverbs 21:5, LB) Solomon instructs us to takes notes from an ant. He tells us in Proverbs 6:6-8, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. It is told that an Ant can carry 100 times its body weight. Even as much the ant can carry, it has enough sense to carry little by little to the colony. As believers, we have the best thing on earth and many of us do not consider the ant wisdom. The Lord said, Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Joseph understood the concept of little by little. When Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of the whole land of Egypt as Governor, he followed the basic Biblical Principal little by little. “Joseph collected all the food produced in the those seven years abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities. In each city he put the food grown in the fields surrounding it. Joseph stored up huge quantities of grain, like the sand of the sea; it was so much that he stopped keeping records because it was beyond measure (Genesis 41:48-49). The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich and he addeth no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22). The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts (I Samuel 2:7). "The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets" (Proverbs 21:20, LB) Little by Little, if you work for it and save, in due season God will bless you and make you prosperous so that you can be a blessing to others. If you invest wisely, little by little, you will receive a profit and promotion in joy and happiness. |

| title | Finding a place called “contentment" |
| body | We live in time where people are spending more money than what they make. Our living expenditures (housing, travel, medical, education, food, entertainment and other) are totaling more than what their annual income. The cost of living has some liability to the household income shortage. However, the blame is not solely on the conditions of financial state in America. The lack of contentment has partial responsibility in the reasons why many families are running short on cash. Today, bread winners are bombarded with advertisements to get a new gadgets, upgrade your outdates version of whatever, keep current with the trend and be in the in crowd. Every year, marketing personnel strategizes ways to lure parents and children in buying the hottest new toy around Christmas time. They are very successful at it because we spend billions every year buying the hottest new item in spite of what’s currently already at home. Our eyes are glued to new things. Newness has a gravitation pull on our finances and somehow drains our pockets. Thereafter, we find ourselves in a state of “want” instead of a place of peace and contentment. What will possess a person who’s making a good salary, live in a home that over 75% of the world would wish to have and lack nothing to steal, lie and embezzle money from others? Greed and lack of contentment! What’s in common with the following high profile names? • Madoff - $143 Billion Scam • Trudeau - Millions on diet book scam • AIG – $441 billion worth of securities And the list goes on… The LOVE of money causes devastating effects and wealth stealing. Many fall into financial sin of greed or the love of money. Solomon tells us in Proverbs 14:15 “A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.” Let’s be wise and find a place on contentment in our lives. The Apostle Paul and King Solomon provides is Biblical Keys in finding a place called contentment. First, let define the location and state of contentment. Contentment is being satisfied with God’s sovereign decision, direction and disposition and destiny for my life now and forever. Contentment is a place where God’s provision, peace, protection and prosperity has secured our entire being. Before we depart to journey to a place called contentment, I have some important boarding questions. 1. Do you love money? The word love Apostle Paul used is philargyria [phil-r-gear-ee-a] which means greed for wealth or material gain. 2. Do you hunger to please others than God? 3. Do you know why you are not content today with the things you do or do not have? Alan Greenspan, former US federal board reserve chairman used a term “irrational exuberance” to describe the behavior of the market as overvalued. This term clearly describes the value believers put on material possessions. The lack of contentment overvalues things. We have an irrational exuberance need to fulfill greed. 1. Godliness with contentment is great gain. - 1 timothy 6:6 2. It’s not yours to keep - 1 timothy 6:7 3. Being content with the necessities - 1 timothy 6:8 4. Beware of scams and get rich schemes – 1 Timothy 6:9, look well into the matter (Proverbs 14:15). 5. Keep the faith - 1 timothy 6:10 6. Learned to be content – Philippians 4:11 7. Rely on the Strength of the Lord - Philippians 4:13 8. You have everything you need in the Lord- 1 Corinthians 4:8 9. Shop with a plan – Proverbs 21:5 10. Haste makes waste. Do it right, take your time - – Proverbs 21:5 Hebrews 13:5 In Christ you can find true content. |

Solomon tells us in Proverbs 14:15 “A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.” \n\nLet’s be wise and find a place on contentment in our lives. The Apostle Paul and King Solomon provides is Biblical Keys in finding a place called contentment. First, let define the location and state of contentment. \n\nContentment is being satisfied with God’s sovereign decision, direction and disposition and destiny for my life now and forever. Contentment is a place where God’s provision, peace, protection and prosperity has secured our entire being. \n\nBefore we depart to journey to a place called contentment, I have some important boarding questions. \n\n1.\tDo you love money? The word love Apostle Paul used is philargyria [phil-r-gear-ee-a] which means greed for wealth or material gain. \n\n2.\tDo you hunger to please others than God? \n\n3.\tDo you know why you are not content today with the things you do or do not have? \n\nAlan Greenspan, former US federal board reserve chairman used a term “irrational exuberance” to describe the behavior of the market as overvalued. This term clearly describes the value believers put on material possessions. The lack of contentment overvalues things. We have an irrational exuberance need to fulfill greed. \n\n1.\tGodliness with contentment is great gain. - 1 timothy 6:6\n2.\tIt’s not yours to keep - 1 timothy 6:7\n3.\tBeing content with the necessities - 1 timothy 6:8\n4.\tBeware of scams and get rich schemes – 1 Timothy 6:9, look well into the matter (Proverbs 14:15). \n5.\tKeep the faith - 1 timothy 6:10\n6.\tLearned to be content – Philippians 4:11\n7.\tRely on the Strength of the Lord - Philippians 4:13\n8.\tYou have everything you need in the Lord- 1 Corinthians 4:8\n9.\tShop with a plan – Proverbs 21:5\n10.\t Haste makes waste. Do it right, take your time - – Proverbs 21:5\n\n\nHebrews 13:5 In Christ you can find true content.",

| title | Ask God To Do A Repeat Performance |
| body | Ask God To Do A Repeat Performance Scriptures: Joshua 4:19 - 24 Truth: God can do it again! I love high school sports. While in high school, the boys wrestling team went to the state meet for the first time in school history. This year, the boys’ basketball team won its first-ever state championship. Many would say, what good things could come out of such a high school in the worst parts of Chicago. Congratulations to the basketball Coach and the entire team. Next year, the team supposed to have an even better boys basketball team. Somebody shout repeat performance. God has proved Himself to us over and over again. Throughout our life, we have survived close calls. We have survived near death. We have survived storms and storms. We have are survivors. Are their any survivors in the house? We have been spared when we did foolish things. And surely, God has provided for us by putting money in our pockets, food on our tables and clothes on our backs. Too often, we find ourselves slipped into a slump when the storms of life come our way. Some believers find themselves in a predicament and get amnesia. They forget how the Lord brought them out of the previous storm and need a remaindered He is the same God yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). (It’s amazing how so called friends forget how you bent over backwards to help them out but when it time to help you, they get lost of memory / amnesia for form a brain paralysis. God has way to make us remember. After the death of Moses, the Lord to Joshua to get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give the Israelites. The Lord told Joshua, I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses (Joshua 1:1-3). We have to understand that God want’s to bless us. He wants to fulfill his promises in us. God’s was to grant us the desires of our heart. But we have to remember how those who pave the way for us, who spoke the word of God and consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Do you remember how big momma who raise ten kids, feed them and still have enough to take care others? Do you remember how our forefathers and foremothers fought their way through some terrible times and yet, they were able to persevere and live a full life? Do you remember how the old church would have prayer meetings and the entire church would be filled with God’s presence? Now we have prayer conference calls, Prayer posting and other means to connect with others to pray. But if imitate the former faith fighters, we would flourish as a follower of Jesus. Every now and then, we need to have a homecoming or a reunion with past successes to be reminded that God can do it again. We have to have confidence in God and ask him to do a repeat performance. How do you prepare for a comeback blessing? 1. Be strong in the Lord. Three times, the Lord to Joshua to be strong and courageous 3. Obey the Lord’s commandment (Joshua 1:2) 4. Mediate, chew on God’s Word (Joshua 1:8) The Lord told Joshua, go through the camp and tell the people “Get your supplies ready. In three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own (Joshua 1:11). In three days, get ready because God is about to do a repeat performance. God is going to cause some upstream activity in your life to cease so that he can do a repeat performance. While Joshua and the Israelites where crossing the Jordan, the water was rising but when the priests stepped in the water carrying the ark, the water upstream stopped flowing. God knows how to cutoff the trouble in the life. He knows how to stop the intake of problems flowing in and allow you to stand on firm ground. In my life, I have experience being debt free, standing on ground zero. I am asking God to perform a repeat blessing in life and stop the bills from flowing in. When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the Lord had Joshua place twelve stones at the place they have crossed the Jordan. He stones were served as a memorial so that generations knew about God repeat performance. Whenever, you hit a major milestone in your life or overcame a major moment or accomplishment, buy something or do something so you can remember how the Lord brought you out. Treat yourself to a memorial gift in honor of the Lord. On the tenth day of the first month the people went up from the Jordan and camped at Gilgal on the eastern border of Jericho. Joshua told the children of God “In the future, when your descendants ask their fathers, What do these stones mean? Tell them “Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground. What reminders do you have of God repeat performance? The Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan just what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God (Joshua 4:22-24). When you are faced with adversity and don’t know how things are going to turn out; ask God to do a repeat performance. God wants to stop some things in your life that you have found yourself in a situation again. But thanks be to God, He is a God of second chance. Tye Tribbett wrote a song titled “If He did it before, He will do it again. He is the same God right now, He same God back then. Greater is he. I know I will rise up because He is the same God right now, He same God back then. Be encourage, this is not the first storm you been through. You have been through worst and you have not came the far to loose. If he brought you out before, he’ll bring you out again. If he healed you before, He will heal you again. The problem might change. The situation might change. But He is the same God. I got power. I know I can overcome. |

| title | Making Your Money Work - Perfect Faith Produces Prosperity |
| body | .jpeg)
Perfect Faith Produces Prosperity
Scripture: 2 Kings 3:16 -18, 20 “For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind not rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord;” “The next morning, about the time for offering the sacrifice, there it was – water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water.” Truth: Your Faith in God’s Word Will Do It! Your Faith in God Will Make it. Start digging deeper in your faith. You have to activate your faith to receive the things God has in store for you. Your blessing is coming your way. Just believe and have perfect faith in our provider. You have to prepare for your blessing even when there isn’t the slightest sign of in in sight. Perfect faith in God’s spoken word is the seed that will spring up in future. Isaiah 55:11 tells us that God’s word will not return unto him void or empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Speak the word in every situation and watch how your life will change. When we operate in perfect faith, the things of God come easy. A cheap way to access your blessing, simply believe. Jesus said “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, “go, throw yourself into the sea”, and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” Matthew 21:21-22. Find a faith partner and touch and agree. “If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven” Matthew 18:19. It might seem to be impossible from man standards, but from a spiritual standpoint, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). In the truth scripture today, we discover three kings find themselves in need. The three kings made an alliance to fight against one common enemy King of Moab. The three kings agreed to forge a bond and set off to fight against Moab. Who do you have fighting the enemy with? Are you alone or do you have someone to that will strengthen your faith and your walk in the Lord? Moab respected Ahab, the father of Joram. But when Ahab died, Moab no longer abided to the commitment and arrangements made to Ahab. Just because your parent or grandparents fought battles and overcame does not mean, the enemy will bow down to you. You have to develop your own faith so the enemy knows that you come from the same stock. “Don’t Mess with Me!” Some of us have caught breaks in life because of the family we belong to. We have to carry own the legacy of faith so that generational wealth is established and continues. The king of Israel, king of Judah and the king of Edom pursued their plan with perfect faith. They traveled through the desert of Edom with only a seven-day supply of water. We can all relate to lack of or running out. Your get paid on Friday and by next Friday, you praying that God will allow you to make to the next pay period. The Kings were in a desperate situation. They have rain out of water in the desert. It has been reported that the Arizona and California desert area reported temperatures as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade. If you run out of water while traveling in such high heat, you will surely die. It’s amazing; these are kings who have access to the smartest men in the kingdom, but they we running out. I am quite sure they have MapQuest their trip and brought along enough water journey. It seems that God will allow our faith to be tested to perfect it. God is always trying to perfect our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 When you faith is tested, you have to ask, “Is there any word from the Lord?” Jehoshaphat, king of Judah asked “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord through him?” Perfected faith will seek after the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (2 Kings 3:11). Perfected faith will worship the Lord in the midst of the wilderness (2 kings 3:15). Perfected faith will be obedient to the voice of God even if it sounds crazy. Perfected faith will move just on believing what God said. This is where many of us fall off the train track. Once it is time to apply the Word of God to our lives, we fall short. We will hear the Word, Worship God and Want move on What God said. Jesus said “whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me, He who loves e will be loved by my Father and I too will love him and show myself to him” Matthew 14:21. Elisha instructed the three kings to make the valley full of ditches. Now, if you have doubt and have heard this from Elisha, who probably thought you were digging your own grave. But Faith speaks, dig ditches. Act even if you don’t see it. “Every great work, every big accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding to the vision, and often just before the big achievement, comes apparent failure and discouragement.” When you allow perfect faith to speak on your behalf, it’s an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord to accomplish the very thing that seems impossible to achieve. Verse 20: The next morning, about the time for the offering the sacrifice, there it was – water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water. "title": "Making Your Money Work - Perfect Faith Produces Prosperity",
"body": ".jpeg)\n\n
Perfect Faith Produces Prosperity
\n\nScripture: 2 Kings 3:16 -18, 20 “For this is what the Lord says: You will see neither wind not rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. This is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord;” \n\n“The next morning, about the time for offering the sacrifice, there it was – water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water.” \n\nTruth: Your Faith in God’s Word Will Do It! Your Faith in God Will Make it. \n\nStart digging deeper in your faith. You have to activate your faith to receive the things God has in store for you. Your blessing is coming your way. Just believe and have perfect faith in our provider. You have to prepare for your blessing even when there isn’t the slightest sign of in in sight. \n\nPerfect faith in God’s spoken word is the seed that will spring up in future. Isaiah 55:11 tells us that God’s word will not return unto him void or empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. \n\nSpeak the word in every situation and watch how your life will change. When we operate in perfect faith, the things of God come easy. A cheap way to access your blessing, simply believe. \n\nJesus said “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, “go, throw yourself into the sea”, and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” Matthew 21:21-22. \n\nFind a faith partner and touch and agree. “If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven” Matthew 18:19. \n\nIt might seem to be impossible from man standards, but from a spiritual standpoint, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). \n\nMoab respected Ahab, the father of Joram. But when Ahab died, Moab no longer abided to the commitment and arrangements made to Ahab. Just because your parent or grandparents fought battles and overcame does not mean, the enemy will bow down to you. You have to develop your own faith so the enemy knows that you come from the same stock. \n\n“Don’t Mess with Me!”\n\nSome of us have caught breaks in life because of the family we belong to. We have to carry own the legacy of faith so that generational wealth is established and continues. \n\nThe king of Israel, king of Judah and the king of Edom pursued their plan with perfect faith. They traveled through the desert of Edom with only a seven-day supply of water. \n\nWe can all relate to lack of or running out. Your get paid on Friday and by next Friday, you praying that God will allow you to make to the next pay period. \n\nThe Kings were in a desperate situation. They have rain out of water in the desert. It has been reported that the Arizona and California desert area reported temperatures as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade. If you run out of water while traveling in such high heat, you will surely die. \n\nIt’s amazing; these are kings who have access to the smartest men in the kingdom, but they we running out. I am quite sure they have MapQuest their trip and brought along enough water journey. It seems that God will allow our faith to be tested to perfect it. \n\nGod is always trying to perfect our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2\n\nWhen you faith is tested, you have to ask, “Is there any word from the Lord?” Jehoshaphat, king of Judah asked “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord through him?” \n\nPerfected faith will seek after the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (2 Kings 3:11). \n\nPerfected faith will worship the Lord in the midst of the wilderness (2 kings 3:15). \n\nPerfected faith will be obedient to the voice of God even if it sounds crazy. \n\nPerfected faith will move just on believing what God said. This is where many of us fall off the train track. Once it is time to apply the Word of God to our lives, we fall short. We will hear the Word, Worship God and Want move on What God said. \n\nJesus said “whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me, He who loves e will be loved by my Father and I too will love him and show myself to him” Matthew 14:21. \n\nElisha instructed the three kings to make the valley full of ditches. Now, if you have doubt and have heard this from Elisha, who probably thought you were digging your own grave. But Faith speaks, dig ditches. Act even if you don’t see it. \n\n“Every great work, every big accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding to the vision, and often just before the big achievement, comes apparent failure and discouragement.” \n\n\nWhen you allow perfect faith to speak on your behalf, it’s an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord to accomplish the very thing that seems impossible to achieve. \n\n\nVerse 20: The next morning, about the time for the offering the sacrifice, there it was – water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water. \n\nAllow you faith to produce prosperity. Get rich schemes, hard work, taking advantage of others misfortune and playing the lottery are not faith moves to produce prosperity. Start walking, speaking and telling your spirit, I am prosperous!",

| body | Scripture: Proverbs 12:9 “Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.’ Truth: Allow the real you stand out and proclaim the Glory of God. Have you ever encountered someone pretending to be someone they are not? I ran into an old high school classmate and we have not seen each other in years. Immediately, he put on this so called important person look and start selling himself as this well established business man. It was no need for him to pretend to be someone else because I was happy to see him. Weeks later, I ran into him at a local grocery store and he was the cashier for the line I was in. Again, I was happy to see him. As I approach him to checkout, he greeted me with a number of excuses and why he is working as a cashier. Immediately, I stopped him and said, “Man, I love you… No Need to Fake the Funk with me. I am glad you are alive and well. Talk to you later, Oh by the way, the bread is on sale and I have a coupon for it. Every bit counts. Peace!” Do you recall the famous duo Milli Vanilli? .jpeg) We live in times when people are impersonating the life style of the rich and famous instead of being whom they really are. Also, I see many people stealing the identity of others and pattern their life after a famous person. Thus we have the up rise of reality TV shows that have a cast made of pretenders. “Identity theft is a form of stealing someone’s identity in which someone pretends to be someone else by assuming that person’s identity, typically in order to access resources or obtain credit and other benefits in that person’s name” (Source: Wikipedia). False identity or Fake identity has become a known problem in social media and dating website. It’s easy for a person to pretend to be someone behind a computer than in real life. Often times, many people are lured into traps because what seems to be real in the cyber worlds is actually fraud. Much like the cyber world, within the church, we have someone pretending to be Believers and Followers of Christ but they are actually churchgoers. If you follow a person home after church and discover their lifestyle is surprising different then the person you saw at church; this is a case of Believer’s False Identity. This person has stolen the identity of Chris and portrays and pretends to to be someone else. In order to live abundantly, we have to be real with Christ. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 5:21 “For a man’s way are in full view of the Lord and he examines all his paths. “ There’s account in the Bible when Paul opposes Peter for acting one way when he was with the Apostles and acting a different way when he was with the Gentiles. “When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was ked astray. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the Gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?” Galatians 2:11-14 Unfortunately, we have Chameleon Christians that change to their behavior and actions instead of changing the environment by bringing the presence of God. It is sad to say but we are living in a time when perception is more powerful and important than the truth. What we see on the outside determines your financial status and importance instead of the moral and spiritual values. Often times we were our beliefs on our shirt but not in our hearts. The proverbial writer suggests that it is better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food. Jesus said “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). There’s a significant lesson to learn by living a simple and humble life before the Lord. “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody” (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Abundant living is not living the life of rich and famous. Abundant living is not having all the prestige and being very popular. Abundant living is not accumulating mass materials to showcase to the world. Abundant living is solely being dependent upon the Lord, trusting he will provide all your needs and give you the desires of your heart while being real and living a simple life. Abundant living is having Salvation! Abundant living is pleasing God! |

Abundant living is pleasing God! |

| title | Making Your Money Work - Are You Willing to Pay the Cost? |
| body | Are You Willing to Pay the Cost? Scripture: 2 Samuel 24:24 “But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” Truth: A sacrifice is worthless if it does not cost you something. We live in a world where convenience has become the primary goal. A large number of folks will not engage themselves in an activity if it does not fit into their schedule. A large percentage of peoples’ dreams are deferred because they are not willing to pay the cost to fulfill their dream. Accomplishing great things in life costs! It will cost you time, money and possibly sleepiness nights. Often times we may encounter extremeness obstacles in life such as a physical handicap, poverty, discrimination, spiritual attacks and sense of inferiority while trying to achieve an abundant life. Nevertheless, the benefits outweigh the cost of perseverance and pursuit. The Bible reminds us “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” 2 Corinthians 4:17. At the age of seven years old, Abraham Lincoln and his sister walked 9 miles to and from school through the woods. When he was older, he would walk twenty miles just to borrow a book. It cost Abraham Lincoln time and long walks but later in life he became 16th president of the United States. In the year of 1863, he signed Emancipation Proclamation, which declared freedom for the slaves in the southern slave stated. You must do the thing you cannot do “ Eleanor Roosevelt know as ugly duckling. Jackie Robinson was the first Black baseball player to play for a major league. But it came as a huge cost. His sacrifices include abuse from fans and players alike. Michael Jordan is considered one of the greatest basketball player that played the game. We talk about his years of success on the Chicago Bulls Team and how good he was. But it his skills came at a cost. In high school he attended basketball practice twice a day. He would spend an hour and a half practicing with the junior varsity team and two hours with varsity team. The testimonies of those who were willing to pay the cost had three command traits for abundant living: Courage, Conviction and Commitment. In today’s scripture, King David displayed courage, conviction and commitment to the Lord by addressing a sin issue. The Lord instructed David to take census of Israel and Judah. In turned, David delegates his task to Joab the commander of the army to enroll the fighting men, so that he may know how many there are. When the results came back and David hears how Israel has grown, the pride of sin set in his heart. As a result of David’s sin, 70,000 men died because of one man’s sinful action. This troubled David and he immediately went to the prophet Gad who instructed with divine correction for David to repented and build an altar. It takes courage to admit when you are wrong. David was convicted of his sin but he displayed commitment to God by presenting a sacrificial burnt offering. Araunahi offered to give David the Threshing floor for the altar but David insisted on paying for it. We have to be willing to pay the cost to please God. We can’t be cheap to the one who woke us up this morning. We can’t be cheap to the one who spared their life for us. We can’t be cheap to the God who mercies are everlasting. Do not be a cheap Christian. If you have a religion that cost you nothing than you have a religion that’s worth nothing. David understood that it was going to cost him something to show God that this worship is for real. So, David bought the threshing floor and the oxen and fifty shekels of silver for then. He built an altar for the Lord and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. When you show God that you are serious and you test him, then and then after he will answer your prayers. “Then the Lord answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.” 2 Samuel 24:25. So many want a quick fix to our problems. After a catastrophe or devastating event, we are so quick to have prayer vigils or organized a violence walk. But God is looking so someone who is willing to offer something that will cost them in order to stop the plague. In order to live an abundant life, you have to be willing to give up your life. Jesus spoke to the hurt of the large crowds that were traveling with him. In Luke 14:33 Jesus said, “any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.” You have to be willing to pay the cost in order to receive the benefits of the Kingdom of God. Most people are stuck on the matter of paying tithes and offering. Tithes and offering are the basic fundamentals of giving and receiving. Nevertheless, giving God something that will cost you requires a level of faith on trust in God. Even though it seems as it going to hurt you as you make the sacrifice, in the long run, it’s going to help you. In Mark 10:29, Jesus further explains the reward for your sacrifice and cost: “ I tell you the truth, no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in the present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. The abundant life returns 100 times our investment, which is a 10,000% return. An abundant life is promised to those is willing to pay the cost and serve God and partake in the divine nature filled with miracles and blessings. |

| title | Making Your Money Work - Inventory Your Seeds and Not Your Needs |
| body | Inventory Your Seeds and Not Your Needs Scripture: Zechariah 8:12 “The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people.” “Cast your bread upon the waters, after many days you will find it again" (Ecclesiastes 11:1, NIV) Truth: You must plant your send in order to receive a harvest. We all have a needs and surely God knows all about them according to Matthew 6:25. Jesus reminds us not to worry about our life. Unfortunately, many of us have not adhered to Jesus’ command and we worry about various life needs and begin to depend of our petition to Lord in prayer to address our need request. My I suggest the next time you find yourself in need, inventory the seeds you have planted. As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest…will never cease (Genesis 8:22). As long as you plant your seeds, your needs will be meet! Let’s look deeper into why this is true for a believer. According to Wikipedia, a seed is small embryonic plant. The formation of the seed completes the process of reproduction in seed plants. When a seed is sown, the reproduction process begins in which caused the seed to multiply. We have to understand that we are seeds of Abraham (Genesis 3:29) and throughout generations, God’s law to bless us because the seeds planted are still in motion. The Prophet Zechariah reminded Jerusalem the Lord will return to Zion and the Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth. Jerusalem is God’s seed for his children. Jerusalem is known as the City of God or the Holy place. Jerusalem was a seed for the birthing of the three monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It’s in Jerusalem, the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth was born. It’s in Jerusalem the crucifixion of our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ to pay for the sins of the whole world. It’s in Jerusalem King Solomon built the first temple of God It’s in Jerusalem God set aside a remnant to return home. It’s the prophet Zechariah who prophesized that God will return to Jerusalem… Whenever you pray for Jerusalem, you are planting seeds for a return blessing. After, the Jews return back to Jerusalem during Zechariah’s time, they did not have temple to seek God’s help. They did not have the means to rebuild the city; but good news was on the way through the prophet Zechariah. When you plant your seeds of righteousness, God will prosper you. He is going to enlarge your territory (Zechariah 2:1-5). God took his measuring tape to measure Jerusalem to enlarge her, to prosper her. When you plant your seed, God will make it grow. Your seed is the spark of extraordinary and supernatural blessings. Whenever you find yourself needing something, pause and remind God of the seeds you have planted in prayer. Often times when a boy scout walks an unfamiliar trail, he drops popcorn seeds along the trail as markers to find his way back. Along your path to abundant living, drop your seeds of love, giving, helps and service along the way. And surely, you will be able to find your way to the hand of the Lord, prepared to bless you during harvest time. Zechariah announced good news to the children of God to encourage them that their seeds of love, labor and longing for a coming kings was time to spring up because of God’s unfailing kindness and mercy. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 16:58 KJV). |
