      "body": "<html>\n<p>Registered on Steemit about 18 months ago and like a lot of people did nothing...wasting away my energy and wisdom on that FaceBook thing...Finally I am here, and I am extremely happy to have taken the time to revisit this amazing platform...No holding back now.</p>\n<p>Name is Derrick, live in Cape Town, South Africa, I am approximately 56 years old, give or take a few months, in a long term relationship, which I love, no kids of my own...2 boys ages 19 and 25 from my partners side whom at times are a bane to my existence but for the most part they are pretty cool kids to have around.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>I was born in SA, have travelled sub Saharan Africa quite extensively, lived in the USA for 21 years from 1990 to 2011, mostly in New York (10 Years) and South Florida (11 Years), traveled extensively in the USA and have had the privilege of living in some beautiful places. I love travel and some of my posts on here will definitely be on that topic.</p>\n<p>I am a long time and serial entrepreneur, had a few jobs in my life, not one worth remembering, basically not the employee type and GOD willing I will never have to demean myself again in that way...not that I am criticizing anyone who is an employee, just that it's not in my personality or character to be taking orders and instructions from employee minded people...</p>\n<p>While \"job\" security is a fundamental for most people I prefer to captain my own ship and get the rewards for my efforts. Most jobs I have had have been comission type jobs, in keeping with the ideal that I like to maximize my earnings through my diligence and hard work. If there is one job I could say I enjoyed and was extremely successful in ...it would be real estate, specifically, commercial real estate where, for the most part, one gets to keep most of the booty!</p>\n<p>Industries I have had businesses in, some successful, some downright failures include entertainment, as in night clubs, live music venues, restaurants and the like...Real Estate, natural and organic Health and Beauty products, organic foods and drinks, manufacturing, import and export, web design, internet marketing, and a few others where I dabbled but did not pursue.
