      "body": "Cultural Narcissism is common place across all demographics.  It stems from us being under a constant barrage from the media. How we should look, act, what is successful and how to live. We are fed this from an early age,  it becomes second nature and when children clamour for an I-pad their job is done. \nAs we grow older we notice that everything is not quite as perfect as it seems and a ring of dissonance appears.  Yet we still try to keep up, while the people that clamour for our time and money get ever more desperate. It becomes a tail chasing exercise. Slowly people catch on. By then though after years of constant attack the inner narcissist is triggered. You did not realize that you were under attack but you become insular. No longer interested in others, except the people you hold dear. \nThat is the magic mirror, you think you are looking at your life, it projects the perfect life, a construct. As you become ever more dissatisfied the more you feel that it is your fault.  You refuse to believe you've been taken in. You deny yourself.\nYou look at the people who, are just the same as you, look successful but it is all just a veneer.  You are told that it is anything but you that is to blame and fed a constant stream of fear but you look upon the leaders valiantly fighting manufactured wars for your comfort. They are reflections of your inner battle. Between who you are and who society deems you to be. \nIt is all an illusion. Perpetrated by those around you. They are too enthralled in the mirror.",

      "body": "I have often thought on the construction of ancient monuments. The question often asked is how did they move the blocks of stone. We get lost in that. Looking at human nature, we like to make our lives easy. We put up with toil for short periods and in the process we see things that could be done differently. \nToday I asked Why. Not why did they build the monuments, but why did they choose to move huge blocks.  Around the world rocks break down to a convenient size for building, there are even examples of natural dykes where the rock has crystallized resembling dry stone walls. It forms quite sturdy piles. Over the centuries we even learnt to make our own rocks in a uniform manner for convenience in all aspects of the process. \nThe Romans perfected it, when they turned rocks to dust and moved them, reconstituting the powder with water.  When looking at the Pantheon they turned concrete into an art we are just getting hold of. \nWhy was it easier to move huge rocks than to slice them up a bit more. It will have been asked before no doubt but sometimes how we see old problems from a new angle is a reflection of how we see life.",
