Everything from here is there with the same keys/passwords.\n\nYes, people will use and adopt it. It's better than the bank or some other company being able to arbitrarily suspend your account or inflate your money by printing trillions more out of thin air like the Fed is doing in the USA now. And since the Indian Supreme Court threw out the ban on crypto, it will be coming fast when fiat money won't buy anything any more.\n\nCentral authority is based on trust (and coercion) and that trust has been massively broken. People just have to realize it when the hard consequences occur.\n\nMost people don't like to assume more self responsibility when they can get someone else to take care of things for them - especially when they are afraid. If the private key is stolen, you loose the digital coins. And if you loose the private key, the digital coins under that wallet are lost forever. In principle, your crypto coins are lost for you and for others too, because nobody can ever access it without the private key. There is no provision to recover the lost private keys. This is the characteristic of accessing decentralized asset in the distributed ledgers.\n\nThe common advice floating in the air is known to all - \"Take care of your private keys\". One must save the private key in a secured place, either printed on a paper, saved in a electronic form or stored in a hardware wallet. Each and every storage may fail under certain circumstances.\n\nA lost private key means the user loses all the data and the associated assets, in case of bitcoin the user loses all the digital money! The distributed ledger community couldn't give any sure shot solution for recovering the data, associated digital assets or bitcoin. Are the commercial IoT devices secure?\n\nAre people taking care of IoT security? People must do something seriously about IoT security, because without appropriate security measures, IoT would be the sweet spots of the hackers. If IoT is not secure, will people use it?\n\nIn this Internet woven networked world, we always need to exchange communications with the trusted partners or devices. May it be remotely switching on the light in my living room, or switching off the water pump, we need to send the signal to the particular IoT devices without any security threat in between. Moreover, we won't like that our personal IoT devices to be accessed and controlled by unauthorized persons.\n\nIoT devices are not omni secure, we need to add proper security measures on to it. Then do we have other alternative platforms to go? My friends would say that there are so many such platforms: Medium, BeBee and so on .. But we must agree that every platform is somewhat different. You can't get the same engagement everywhere in the Internet driven #SocialMedia.\n\nSome of my friends say that “Don't keep all your eggs in the same basket” \n\nWe should not keep our contents and data in one space of the social media. That is true because you can't be sure that the very web media would exist to give its services for good. Then your “eggs” don't sell for the same “price” in different “baskets”. You have to make some compromises on your social media selling.\n\n Some have their own websites and associated blog pages \n\nHaving your own website is a wise decision. You have your own website where you can keep your contents, as long as the service of the web hosting company continues. But those websites need the help of the social media to pull the crowd there. If the top social media networks don't exist where from will you get the crowd?\n\nBut do we continue the simple activities, such as writing articles with a pen, meeting our social media connections outside the social media .. ? \n\nDo we still write contents on a paper using a pen? Do we try to keep your works in traditional printed documents as well? Do we publish articles/papers/books which also appear in hard copy prints? Do we try to meet our clients whom we give services electronically? Do we ever try to meet our social media acquaintances outside the virtual space of the social media?\n\n If the Internet driven social media cease to exist, we are going to suffer if we don't continue traditional communication \n\nElectronic-only social media communication can robotize the modern society. Simple and direct communication have a natural role to play in our lives. Recently some of our Internet-friends did it in No Longer Virtual (NLV) conference organized by Sarah Elkins. This is a great effort towards simple and direct communication.\n\n\"No Social Media\" - This is unthinkable. Anyway, it should never happen for God's sake, and the Internet backbone would also exist for ever (we assume), and the social media networks would flourish every day. I take an advance excuse from all my social media connections and the would-be connections.
