      "body": "Things move quickly in the crypto world. Just a month ago, it seemed no one was talking about crypto miners and yet now it's the hottest thing since play-to-earn games and NFTs. \n\n## What are crypto miners?\n\nFirst of all, when I say \"miners,\" I'm not talking about the people using ASICs to create Bitcoin or any other mineable crypto. This is instead a new sort of DeFi protocol that sometimes goes by the name \"miner\" and sometimes \"minter.\" Anyway, neither of them actually \"mine\" crypto in the proper sense, so it's a stupid name. \n\nCrypto miners are basically systems where you put a certain amount of money into a smart contract and it feeds you back that money at - supposedly - a set fee per day. Most of them pay out 3% but over the past few days there have been some ones that claim to pay 10% or even 12%. \n\n## This sounds like a ponzi scheme... \n\nIt does, doesn't it? And it is hard to say that it's not. A loose definition of \"ponzi scheme\" is that it pays the original investors with the money brought in by new investors. As long as the scheme keeps going, everyone gets paid... until, of course, the eventual collapse. \n\nI don't claim to know how these crypto miners work, but they sure look a lot like ponzis and that makes them incredibly **high risk.** \n\n## Can they make you money? \n\nI was curious about these about three weeks ago and went in on [Fantom Miner](https://fantom-miner.finance/index.html?ref=XX8maYWJPz2N1ZPd+WWq2erhuLBj1lIZ+cIKOONGtAlKlYDeNxflUReX3ZMTsL50OX). I chucked in just $20 to see and it paid out pretty well, so I added another few hundred. \n\nHowever, it left me a bit confused. Was I getting 3% per day? Not really. It was more like this: \n\nDay 1: 15%\nDay 2: 12%\nDay 3: 10%\nDay 4: 10%\nDay 5: 8%\nDay 6: 7.5% \n\nAnd so on... It has not yet gotten as long as 3%, which is strange because they consistently market it as paying out 3% per day: \n\n\n![image.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmS4Y5dTNBZ6HQFLc9xg1cZAW5e4Y5jRDwwFeZyRmfpREi/image.png)\n\nHowever, I wasn't complaining. I got my original money back quite quickly and then was making a small daily profit. With Fantom's recent price increase, it's been a pleasant earner. \n\nAfter that, I jumped into two Avax miners:\n\n[Avax Miner 1](https://avax-miner.finance/index.html?ref=XX8maYWJPz2N1ZPd+WWq2erhuLBj1lIZ+cIKOONGtAlKlYDeNxflUReX3ZMTsL50OX)\n[Avax Miner 2](https://maticminer.online/AVAXMiner/?ref=0x8B895be7718DE31864d41E4e6EE2da20F072278A)\n\nThey have both paid out well and in fact are better than the Fantom miner. I still get between 8%-15% daily and I have no clue why. The second one is better than the first in terms of payout, but the first does look like it might last longer. \n\n## Will these crypto miners last long? \n\nMy main worry with investing in these miners was that they would collapse on me. I assumed that after a week or two, I'd log in and find that the contract had been drained or the website taken offline, but so far so good. I've ROI'd on the stuff I first went in on and the rest are nearing 50%. \n\nOf course, anyone with two brain cells can see that this is **super high risk** because they simply cannot last long-term. Moreover, each day there are several new crypto miners, with higher and higher payouts, meaning that the steady investment required to sustain these systems will likely be spread out over too many of them. \n\nThe devs mostly seem reliable and that is important. You can get to know these people and if they run a few miners responsibly, then you can feel good about jumping into the next ones. When a newbie comes along with an impossibly high daily payout, that's when you need to be wary. \n\nI really like these ones on the BSC network: \n\n[Sushi Miner](https://tokenminer.online/SUSHIMiner/?ref=0x8B895be7718DE31864d41E4e6EE2da20F072278A)\n[USDT Miner](https://tokenminer.online/USDTMiner/?ref=0x8B895be7718DE31864d41E4e6EE2da20F072278A)\n[BTC Miner](https://btcmining.fun?ref=0x8B895be7718DE31864d41E4e6EE2da20F072278A)\n[CAKE Miner](https://dextoken-miner.finance/index.html?ref=XX8maYWJPz2N1ZPd+WWq2erhuLBj1lIZ+cIKOONGtAlKlYDeNxflUReX3ZMTsL50OX)\n\nAll of them have paid out consistently and again at much higher than the 3% promised. They also have large pools, so they are pretty stable so far.\n\n## Crypto Mining Strategy \n\nFinally, let's talk strategy. The first and most important thing is to check that it is legit - or at least as legit as any ponzi-looking protocol could be. Take a look at the contract, the pool, the devs, the Telegram group. \n\nNext, get in early. This is perhaps the most important thing. I got in on some of those ones linked to above within the first 15 minutes. For the sushi coin one, I got in within 30 seconds.\n\nThe reason why you get more than 3% is basically that you're buying \"miners\" that \"mine\" crypto for you. Again, this is not proper mining. However, the price of miners is tied to the amount in the pool. If you get in early, you get cheaper miners. You keep those miners, so someone who buys in 24 hours later might have to spend 10x what you spent to get the same number of miners. Ya dig? \n\nStill, if you go in late, you get your 3% daily. I've never seen less than that, even on a KCS Miner that I haven't linked to here because it's a bit rubbish compared to the rest. 3% per day means you'll ROI in a couple of weeks, and then you're making a tidy profit. \n\nYou don't have to withdraw your money, of course. You can compound to earn more and more and more... But do be aware that this is **super risky** and you should take back what you can early to ameliorate some of that risk. \n\nRight. Actually, it pays more than that but 3% is the minimum. The beauty of it is that you just compound for a few days and suddenly your payouts are substantial. I was in on the first day and it was paying about 15%. It's called [Avax Miner](https://avax-miner.finance/index.html?ref=XX8maYWJPz2N1ZPd+WWq2erhuLBj1lIZ+cIKOONGtAlKlYDeNxflUReX3ZMTsL50OX) and it's a little more recent. Because it's newer, the rewards are even better. I got in in the first 30 minutes and it paid out really nicely. It's basically the same but it has less AVAX in the contract, which for me makes it slightly more risky. I feel that these systems are basically predicated upon continual growth, which means that the ones that grow fastest are most stable. \n\nThere are others for various cryptos but I'm just focused on FTM and AVAX right now. Also, the older ones pay back more slowly and for me it's better with high-risk stuff that you get ROI'd as quickly as possible. However, if you bet conservatively with a clever system, you can certainly make profits over a long period of time. I can go for a 32,000 and 16,000 bet, which drastically limits my exposure to risk. \n\n### Alternative Option\n\nOne last method is to switch from 94% to 95% when you lose. This makes it slightly more likely that you will not lose two or three consecutive bets, but your win will be a little smaller. If I lost a 4,000 satoshi bet then I could place a 95% wager on 128,000 sats. It is a bigger risk but you have slightly less chance of losing. \n\nAll in all, I much prefer the first option because I like limiting the risk and stacking sats slowly over time. \n\n## How Much Bitcoin Can You Make?\n\nIf you bet 125 sats each time, you would earn 5 satoshis per bet. If you did this 50 times per hour, 5 hours per day you would get 1,250 sats per day. If you bet 250 sats, it would be doubled to 2,500 sats per day. If you placed a few more bets... Well, you get the point. It goes up fast. \n\nIn the end, it depends how much money you put in. I stuck a million satoshis into [BetFury](https://betfury.io/?r=5f47bed9b6cd6050dd35226a) but some people put several Bitcoin in and just gamble like crazy. As long as you are conservative, you can make profits and also earn dividends. \n\nNote that you don't need to use Bitcoin. Today, I'm going to explain how to use the gambling features in BetFury for the most reliable gains. \n\nDisclaimer: First of all, please don't gamble any more than you can afford to lose. You gamble at your own risk and this is not financial advice. Be smart and make your own good choices. \n\n## The 2 Aims of Gambling on BetFury\nBefore I get into the details, I'll safe first that there are essentially two reasons why you would want to use BetFury for earning more satoshis:\n1) winning more satoshis \n2) earning BFG coins to get divs\n\nThe first one seems the most obvious but please remember that betting is a suckers game in most respects. You've probably heard the phrase \"the house always wins.\" Well, it's a well-known phrase for a reason. If you gamble long enough, the odds are set against you so you will more than likely lose. If you want to earn Bitcoin by gambling then you need to be patient and conservative (or else really, really lucky). \n\nThat's why it can be smart to bet not in order to win but in order to **not lose**. Let me explain: By betting on BetFury, you can earn their native token, called BFG coin. This pays out daily interest called dividends. Just holding it can be very profitable over time. I'll be referring to this game through all of these methods. \n\nTo earn BFG tokens, pick either to gamble BTC or TRX and then bet to your heart's content. I make sure to have enough BTC in my account to place a bigger bet when I lose. For example, if I lose 250 satoshis, I then bet 8,000 satoshis in order to win it back. Over time, I earn money... but the best thing is getting BFG tokens. The more you bet, the more you earn. \n\n## Predictable, Safe, Small Gains\n\nIn that previous method, I alluded to small earnings. At 95% chance of winning, your earnings are just 1.0315. It's not much. Of course, if you met 32,000 satoshis, you would be earning 1,000 satoshis back each time... It's a great income but it's kind of risky unless you have enough in the bank to cover a 32,000 loss. \n\nAs such, I like to play smaller bets. I typically vary between 250 and 2,000 satoshis per bet. This means that when I lose, I increase my bet to between 8,000 and 64,000 satoshis in order to cover the loss. The chance of losing two consecutive rolls at 95% odds is pretty slim. \n\nIf you do this, it is quite easy to earn thousands of satoshis per day and your chances of losing are minimal. \n\n## Bigger Risks, Bigger Gains\n\nSometimes those small earnings can take a while to add up, so you want to make bigger bets. This is risky because it requires having a lot of capital in the bank to cover potential loss. You really, really don't want to get unlucky and lose a few million satoshis. \n\nThere are various approaches then. You can bet big and just keep the money on hand to cover losses or else you can get crafty. \n\nI like to play small bets and then, when I lose, through in a much bigger bet. For example, I will bet 250 satoshis on autobet mode. When I lose, it stops and I manually bet 32,000. This not only covers the loss but gives me a net profit of 750 satoshis for that one bet. Doing this repeatedly quickly adds up but limits your exposure to large bets, giving you a better chance of not getting rekkt. \n\n## Changing Odds\n\nAnother method is to alter the odds on winning. I would sometimes bet at 93 or 94% odds, giving me larger profits. I would do this at 500 or 1,000 satoshis, then when I lose, I push it back to 95% odds and make a bigger bet to cover the loss. This accelerates your gains but of course slightly increases the risk. However, I think it is a good method of spreading the risk about to minimise losses. \n\n## Avoiding Losses\n\nLastly, I just need to say: Don't chase losses. If you bet 32,000 and need to cover the loss, you would have to bet a million satoshis... If you have several million, that's not a big deal, but don't gamble everything. It is tempting to become aggressive at gambling when you suffer a loss, but make a plan and stick with it. Your natural tendency towards irrational behaviour after a loss is partly what puts the odds in the casino's favour. \n\n## Conclusion\n\nIf you want to earn Bitcoin by betting, then be careful and do so at your own risk. It would take you a week to earn a dollar! Of course, if you're like me, you probably HODL those sats in the hope that they are one day worth much more. I view Bitcoin as heading for $100,000 at least, so any sats I have will get sold then.
