About 100 million journalists have tried to get about 5 feet from the device.\n\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-61015\" src=\"https://techlector.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/2-600x333.png\" alt=\"Mate X\" width=\"600\" height=\"333\"><br/>\n\nA three screens 5G device. It's foldable using a flexible AMOLED has a whole bunch of cameras, using a Kirin 980 processor ( that's the same one you have on Mate 20 Pro ) + a new 5G chip. I don't know what you think but I'm actually genuinely excited for this, a lot of people aren't sure whether foldable phones or tablets are gimmicky or actually a next-generation device.\n\nWhat we've seen so far from <a href=\"https://techlector.com/connect-samsung-galaxy-s8-tv/\">Galaxy</a> Fold and this New Mate X which personally I think looks a lot nicer, the bezels are much thinner you have three screens in total a 6.6\" main daily driver screen that you're going to use&nbsp; most of the time, a smaller 6.3 inch screen and a 8 inch screen tablet mode. When it's unfolded you get that 8 inch tablet experience. When unfolded it's just 5mm thick and then when you do fold it back together it's 11mm thick and despite that slim design they have crammed in a 4500 mAh battery now they didn't actually give any battery life quotes I assume there's lots of optimizations to be done.\n\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https://i.gadgets360cdn.com/products/large/1551018835_635_huawei_mate_x.jpg\" width=\"635\" height=\"476\"><br/>\n\nThe Mate X will come with the world's fastest phone charger a 55watt super charger which is up from the already very quick 40watt charger you get on the Mate 20 Pro and promises to give you 85% of the battery in just 30 minutes from a design and engineering point of view. I can't wait to get a closer look at that hinge mechanism while we are calling it a Falcon wing design and as impressive as it does seem we'll have to wait and see about the long-term durability. We also get a two-in-one fingerprint and power button on the Mate X as well as a curved grip on the back to make it easier to use one-handed.\n\n&nbsp;\n\nWell they have been really smart with the design as they put the power button, the cameras and eye-wear grip all together on one edge. Which meaning that when you do have it opened up in tablet mode you get a beautiful edge to edge screen with almost no bezels. My first impression was on those outside screens it going to get scratched but Huawei say they will be offering a Mate X cover case that's designed to protect the screens while still making it easy to unfold so I'm genuinely really excited about the Mate X.\n\nAfter seeing the Mate X i asked some Tech enthusiastic what they think of the Mate X . Here is their First impression\n\n<em><u>I think that </u></em><em><u>Mate X is </u></em><em><u>the nicest phone that I've seen</u></em><em><u>, the galaxy fold was cool but </u></em><em><u>i think </u></em><em><u>Mate X so much </u></em><em><u>better, being able to use it as a normal phone where </u></em><em><u>people except that really tiny screen on the front will make a massive difference</u></em><em><u>. </u></em><em><u>Definitely one of the most exciting products that I've ever seen</u></em><em><u>.</u></em>\n\n<em><u>You have to be excited about foldables</u></em><em><u>, A device that can turn into a phone and a tablet is an improvement to technology. You don't have to carry two devices </u></em><em><u>around you just need one device that does </u></em><em><u>the jobs</u></em><em><u>.</u></em>\n\nGetting official support coming from Google in the next Android version or maybe even the current one it's going to be a remarkably awkward experience. For the first generation or two of devices the factor in the hardware failure rate from increasing numbers of moving parts which I understand skepticism about the first couple generations it's warranted. The Mate 20 Pro is narrower and easier to handle with one hand. It kind of has this subtle textured feel to it, it kind of mimics a vinyl and it does better with resisting smudges.\n<h3>DISPLAY</h3>\nAs we take a look at their displays there are noticeable differences that are easy to discern on the surface. The Mate 20 packs a 6.53 inch FHD + HDR LCD display with an 18.7:9 screen aspect ratio even though it's not a pixel packing monster like its sibling it's the puzzle a detailed thing gets the job done plus the notches remarkable less conspicuous.\n\nHowever, the richer colour tones produced by the Mate 20 Pro 6.3 inch 2K OLED display easily command more of our attention as well as its wider viewing angles. The new like of triple camera affair breaks down to a main <a href=\"http://360gad.com/view-20-review-and-eye-catching-features/\">wide-angle 40 megapixel camera with an F 1.8 lens, you have an 8 megapixel telephoto camer</a>a with OIS and then you have an ultra wide-angle 20 megapixel at the F2.4 and that's all accompanied with a dual tone flash.\n\nThere's a lot to be excited about when it comes to snapping photos and videos because this new system offers a 2½ cm macro photography so you get really close to your subjects. We have also enhanced master AI 2.0 for better scene recognition. You have also new AI cinema mode for video and you have object recognition for active tracking in real time.\n\nWe've seen already the versatility of the P20 Pro cameras but the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro introduces that new ultra wide-angle lens to allow even more this scene to be covered ( in video it should prove quite useful ) as well as in giving content creators, even more, control however it remains unseen for now whether or not we'll have enough of the features to overtake the LG V40 Thin Q as the master of video.\n<h3>BATTERY</h3>\nHuawei was able to cram in sizeable batteries into its phones there's a 4000 mAh in Mate 20 and an even higher 4200 mAh in the Mate 20 Pro, with the Mate 20 pro specifically it offers a 40 watt supercharging mode that can fill up its battery by 70% with only 30 minutes of charging. It's a good way to help top off a friend whose battery's low as you just simply place the phone on top of the Mate 20 Pro to charge.\n\n\n\nIf we're to look at the Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro on the surface you could say it's very much on the same playing field as its contemporaries stunning designs check high-end specs check killer camera systems check and check.\n\nThe Mate 20 is a formidable smartphone one that happily continues to adopt the headphone jack and also carries the same triple camera system as its sibling. This is huawei first flagship phone of 2019 and it's stunning I mean, just look at it that colour shimmering blade runner sequel chevron design is one the most eye-catching I've ever seen but it certainly stands out from the crowd.\n\n<img class=\"alignnone wp-image-523 size-full\" src=\"http://360gad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/IMG_20190303_163218_775.jpg\" alt=\"Huawei view 20\" width=\"1024\" height=\"733\"><br/>\n<h2><strong>What in The box?</strong></h2>\n• Documentation\n• A free transparent case\n• A USB C to USB A cable and\n• A fast charger wall plug ( 50% of your battery in 30 minutes )\n<h3><strong>VIEW 20 KEY FEATURES</strong></h3>\nSo there's a few things that really make the view 20 stand out beyond that eye catching design.\n\n• it's one of the first phones to come with a hole punch selfie camera in the display rather than a traditional notch.\n\n• We're looking at a 86% screen to body ratio\n\n• A dual camera setup on the back including the world's first 48MP main lens + a 3D camera setup.\n\n• It's also one of the only new flagship phones to come with a 3½ mil headphone jack which is great to see and it sticks.\n\n• It's fast as well, you get either 6GB/8GB of RAM with 128/256GB of storage and the latest kirin 980 processor ( the same one used in the huawei mate 20 Pro which costs nearly twice as much )\n\n• It's all powered by a 4000mAh battery so we should easily get a day and a half of use.\n\n• The view 20 running Android 9 with honors own magic UI on top which looks and feels basically just like huawei's EMUi.\n\n<img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-527\" src=\"http://360gad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/huawei-honor-view-20-3-1.jpg\" width=\"710\" height=\"424\"><br/>\n<h4><strong>VIEW20 REVIEW</strong></h4>\nThe screen which is a 6.4 inch full HD + LCD rather than AMOLED so while it still looks great it doesn't quite match the color accuracy, the viewing angles and the inky colors. The view 20 also doesn't appear to have an IP rating for water and dust resistance at least not to the usual IP 67 or 68 standard on most phones but then again neither does the oneplus but that still does have some water resistance. It also doesn't support microSD card and it also only has a single bottom firing speaker but apart from that this is a seriously impressive phone especially considering the price. when the view 20 launched in January the 22nd it's cost about £450 ( $500 ).\n\nHonor view 20 is going to compete with the likes of the oneplus 6 but let's just take a second and really admire the design which doesn't say won't be to everyone's tastes but it's certainly eye catching. It uses a special reflective laser sketched V pattern on the back of the phone which looks great in Red, blue or black. well, I think blue is my favorite of the colors. It doesn't really interfere with what's on the screen as well as it's small enough to fit within the notification bar and it doesn't show in screenshots as I checked.\n\nwhen taking selfies you'll need to move the phone slightly though since the camera is so off-center , To me it still feels like a bit of a halfway house to an eventual under screen camera but it is a step-up from the notch and it does look quite futuristic.\n\nNow moving on to the camera and as I say on the back we get the world's first 48 megapixel lens which has an F 1.8 aperture with a 12 megapixels but you can select 48MP in the options or even 48MP with AI which uses scene detection to enhance the photo, this is running pre-release software so we'll have to wait for the full review before we can properly compare camera samples but first impressions are very impressive possibly a bit gimmicky but still a neat addition is the 3D time-of-flight sensor which is used to make a depth map. This is huawei first flagship phone of 2019 and it's stunning I mean, just look at it that colour shimmering blade runner sequel chevron design is one the most eye-catching I've ever seen but it certainly stands out from the crowd.\n\n<img class=\"alignnone wp-image-523 size-full\" src=\"http://360gad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/IMG_20190303_163218_775.jpg\" alt=\"Huawei view 20\" width=\"1024\" height=\"733\"><br/>\n<h2><strong>What in The box?</strong></h2>\n• Documentation\n• A free transparent case\n• A USB C to USB A cable and\n• A fast charger wall plug ( 50% of your battery in 30 minutes )\n<h3><strong>VIEW 20 KEY FEATURES</strong></h3>\nSo there's a few things that really make the view 20 stand out beyond that eye catching design.\n\n• it's one of the first phones to come with a hole punch selfie camera in the display rather than a traditional notch.\n\n• We're looking at a 86% screen to body ratio\n\n• A dual camera setup on the back including the world's first 48MP main lens + a 3D camera setup.\n\n• It's also one of the only new flagship phones to come with a 3½ mil headphone jack which is great to see and it sticks.\n\n• It's fast as well, you get either 6GB/8GB of RAM with 128/256GB of storage and the latest kirin 980 processor ( the same one used in the huawei mate 20 Pro which costs nearly twice as much )\n\n• It's all powered by a 4000mAh battery so we should easily get a day and a half of use.\n\n• The view 20 running Android 9 with honors own magic UI on top which looks and feels basically just like huawei's EMUi.\n\n<img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-527\" src=\"http://360gad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/huawei-honor-view-20-3-1.jpg\" width=\"710\" height=\"424\"><br/>\n<h4><strong>VIEW20 REVIEW</strong></h4>\nThe screen which is a 6.4 inch full HD + LCD rather than AMOLED so while it still looks great it doesn't quite match the color accuracy, the viewing angles and the inky colors. The view 20 also doesn't appear to have an IP rating for water and dust resistance at least not to the usual IP 67 or 68 standard on most phones but then again neither does the oneplus but that still does have some water resistance. It also doesn't support microSD card and it also only has a single bottom firing speaker but apart from that this is a seriously impressive phone especially considering the price. when the view 20 launched in January the 22nd it's cost about £450 ( $500 ).\n\nHonor view 20 is going to compete with the likes of the oneplus 6 but let's just take a second and really admire the design which doesn't say won't be to everyone's tastes but it's certainly eye catching. It uses a special reflective laser sketched V pattern on the back of the phone which looks great in Red, blue or black. well, I think blue is my favorite of the colors. It doesn't seem to show smudges or finger prints exactly the same size as the huawei mate 20 pro but which do you think looks better ?\n<blockquote><i><u>Drop your comment below and let me know</u></i>\n</blockquote>\n\n<a href=\"http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bvFpl4BW\" rel=\"noopener\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-526\" src=\"http://360gad.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/huawei-honor-view-20-2.jpg\" width=\"599\" height=\"600\"><br/></a>\n\nIt's just as interesting to look at from the front, with that hole-punch 25 megapixel F2.0 selfie camera. honestly saying, actually slightly smaller than what we'll see on the galaxy S10 which is pretty impressive considering it's an LCD and I must admit it does give the phone a more full screen look especially when watching videos or playing games as I often find my thumb covers it up. It doesn't really interfere with what's on the screen as well as it's small enough to fit within the notification bar and it doesn't show in screenshots as I checked.\n\nwhen taking selfies you'll need to move the phone slightly though since the camera is so off-center , To me it still feels like a bit of a halfway house to an eventual under screen camera but it is a step-up from the notch and it does look quite futuristic.\n\nNow moving on to the camera and as I say on the back we get the world's first 48 megapixel lens which has an F 1.8 aperture with a 12 megapixels but you can select 48MP in the options or even 48MP with AI which uses scene detection to enhance the photo, this is running pre-release software so we'll have to wait for the full review before we can properly compare camera samples but first impressions are very impressive possibly a bit gimmicky but still a neat addition is the 3D time-of-flight sensor which is used to make a depth map.
