titleHow do EHR systems improve the quality of care for patients?
bodyWhen health care providers have access to complete and accurate information, patients receive better medical care. Electronic health records (EHRs) can improve the ability to diagnose diseases and reduce—even prevent—medical errors, improving patient outcomes. A national survey of doctors1 who are ready for meaningful use offers important evidence: 94% of providers report that their EHR makes records readily available at point of care. 88% report that their EHR produces clinical benefits for the practice. 75% of providers report that their EHR allows them to deliver better patient care. EHRs can reduce errors, improve patient safety, and support better patient outcomes How? EHRs don't just contain or transmit information; they "compute" it. That means that EHRs manipulate the information in ways that make a difference for patients. For example: A qualified EHR not only keeps a record of a patient's medications or allergies, it also automatically checks for problems whenever a new medication is prescribed and alerts the clinician to potential conflicts. Information gathered by a primary care provider and recorded in an EHR tells a clinician in the emergency department about a patient's life-threatening allergy, and emergency staff can adjust care appropriately, even if the patient is unconscious. EHRs can expose potential safety problems when they occur, helping providers avoid more serious consequences for patients and leading to better patient outcomes. EHRs can help providers quickly and systematically identify and correct operational problems. In a paper-based setting, identifying such problems is much more difficult, and correcting them can take years. If you're looking for a software with both Administrative and Electronic Health Records (EHR) then you can check: https://socialservicesolutionsinc.com/

"title": "How do EHR systems improve the quality of care for patients?",
"body": "When health care providers have access to complete and accurate information, patients receive better medical care. Electronic health records (EHRs) can improve the ability to diagnose diseases and reduce—even prevent—medical errors, improving patient outcomes.\n\nA national survey of doctors1 who are ready for meaningful use offers important evidence:\n\n94% of providers report that their EHR makes records readily available at point of care.\n\n88% report that their EHR produces clinical benefits for the practice.\n\n75% of providers report that their EHR allows them to deliver better patient care.\n\nEHRs can reduce errors, improve patient safety, and support better patient outcomes\n\nHow? EHRs don't just contain or transmit information; they \"compute\" it. That means that EHRs manipulate the information in ways that make a difference for patients. For example:\n\nA qualified EHR not only keeps a record of a patient's medications or allergies, it also automatically checks for problems whenever a new medication is prescribed and alerts the clinician to potential conflicts.\n\nInformation gathered by a primary care provider and recorded in an EHR tells a clinician in the emergency department about a patient's life-threatening allergy, and emergency staff can adjust care appropriately, even if the patient is unconscious.\n\nEHRs can expose potential safety problems when they occur, helping providers avoid more serious consequences for patients and leading to better patient outcomes.\n\nEHRs can help providers quickly and systematically identify and correct operational problems. In a paper-based setting, identifying such problems is much more difficult, and correcting them can take years.\n\nIf you're looking for a software with both Administrative and Electronic Health Records (EHR) then you can check: https://socialservicesolutionsinc.com/",

body![2018-03-16hipaa-security-rule.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmSYPSFNCZL6GmEActqFgLtVxnuUrj9panjPDYec77QpzJ/2018-03-16hipaa-security-rule.jpg) The Security Rule requires covered entities to maintain reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for protecting e-PHI. Specifically, covered entities must: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all e-PHI they create, receive, maintain or transmit; Identify and protect against reasonably anticipated threats to the security or integrity of the information; Protect against reasonably anticipated, impermissible uses or disclosures; and Ensure compliance by their workforce. The Security Rule defines “confidentiality” to mean that e-PHI is not available or disclosed to unauthorized persons. The Security Rule's confidentiality requirements support the Privacy Rule's prohibitions against improper uses and disclosures of PHI. The Security rule also promotes the two additional goals of maintaining the integrity and availability of e-PHI. Under the Security Rule, “integrity” means that e-PHI is not altered or destroyed in an unauthorized manner. “Availability” means that e-PHI is accessible and usable on demand by an authorized person. 5HHS recognizes that covered entities range from the smallest provider to the largest, multi-state health plan. Therefore the Security Rule is flexible and scalable to allow covered entities to analyze their own needs and implement solutions appropriate for their specific environments. What is appropriate for a particular covered entity will depend on the nature of the covered entity’s business, as well as the covered entity’s size and resources. Therefore, when a covered entity is deciding which security measures to use, the Rule does not dictate those measures but requires the covered entity to consider: Its size, complexity, and capabilities, Its technical, hardware, and software infrastructure, The costs of security measures, and The likelihood and the possible impact of potential risks to e-PHI. Covered entities must review and modify their security measures to continue protecting e-PHI in a changing environment. You can also contact the team of https://socialservicesolutionsinc.com/

titleHow do electronic health records reduce medical errors?
bodyElectronic Health Records EHR technologies can help prevent medical errors by flagging potential drug interactions and/or adverse reactions. The majority of drug prescription errors are caused by: Prescription of drugs that interact with other drugs (prescription or over-the-counter) Common foods that a patient may consume while taking a particular medication Prescribing a drug to a patient who is allergic or who has experienced an adverse reaction to it Failure to fully recognize and consider potentially dangerous side effects based on a specific patient's medical history Incorrect dosage or recommendations for frequency of dosage

I have to say it is best because it is the only known SOFTWARE WITH BOTH ADMINISTRATIVE AND ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD (EHR) MODULES that are social services, mental health, and behavioral health-based. As such, professionals, small groups, and agencies can use the majority of the CCM. you can check their website: https://socialservicesolutionsinc.com/

bodyAn electronic health record (EHR) is a digital version of a patient’s paper chart. EHRs are real-time, patient-centered records that make information available instantly and securely to authorized users. While an EHR does contain the medical and treatment histories of patients, an EHR system is built to go beyond standard clinical data collected in a provider’s office and can be inclusive of a broader view of a patient’s care. EHRs are a vital part of health IT and can: Contain a patient’s medical history, diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, immunization dates, allergies, radiology images, and laboratory and test results Allow access to evidence-based tools that providers can use to make decisions about a patient’s care Automate and streamline provider workflow Source: https://socialservicesolutionsinc.com/
