titleCryptowild Foundation.
bodyA foundation created to use the cryptocurrency to help Venezuelans ![Cryptowild Foundation Logo.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdaQVaWeHbTj1qA6gqfEeYtR4PrvMnj6onmjhPvMtBw4C/Cryptowild%20Foundation%20Logo.png) https://cryptowildfoundation.org/ Cryptowild Foundation purpose is helping everyone that is struggling to survive the crudeness of our economical situation. We always target first those who are in the most need but we also keep an eye on every person in our town. ![donation-page-300x169.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWQ78Zcx4zKxcUR53AE9J9fH7KY12bbuSRqFggg8QU3XP/donation-page-300x169.png) Our first public mission helping people was the free distribution of tons of food to the whole town. We received a donation from the guys of https://www.bitcoininterest.io/ and after that task, we decided to create this Foundation, in order to give to our townsfolk some help to surpass the crisis we all live in Venezuela. ![DSC02592-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmemhxzkcmcLEU9dZn5ttKRPsWRFvuH8rG8oZNpKtmoTHb/DSC02592-300x225.jpg) Who are we? ![julian-photo-e1557333915403 (1).png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdgFJMN9bgJgYTPrvMAazje7t4bzSxXrAkAajFMvadcSr/julian-photo-e1557333915403%20(1).png) Julian Alvarez CEO and creator Cryptowild Foundation ![domingo-photo-300x300.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZxq2tbZWAvexxsGeWdmUjpq6e3cf91RA1SKxNrYnF6BY/domingo-photo-300x300.png) Domingo Alvarez Co-founder Cryptowild Foundation Interested in toss us a hand? body![31845139.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQiQWMPfMuH2z7uFem1437m9exs1cHpUuEci314b4iGyh/31845139.jpeg) Greetings, I’m a 44 years old Venezuelan, father of a 4 year restless, curious and healthy child. In addition to my son, my family is composed by my wife, my brother, his wife, their two small children and a seventeen years old lady girl from the amazonian jungle that my brother adopted; all of them are a priority in my life. We also help six (6) families who are struggling a bit more than us. My wife’s family who is composed by 7 adults and 7 kids, our closest friends families including the elderly ones. That will put a total number of 31 adults, 16 kids and 7 people over 70 years old that are receiving our help in one way or another. Food and medicines mainly, just because we can’t buy new clothes. ![bcilogo.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWZnHJPyCDQV4sWYjndtdd4uXpehfDqSZ2B4frxH2M84v/bcilogo.png)![safeinsure.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdxCWG2e15q3KMyFPFtvwvnZxn2MGTHxAL31gMQdwuTsU/safeinsure.png)![AOLxty97-150x150.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmckmVSGuzC2GougG8nC9HtLdDxVFZbcbGqTxw1ULhSUcp/AOLxty97-150x150.jpg) That was a briefly introduction of our family and the people who belongs to our inner circle. They are with us struggling to get food, medicines, water, electricity, internet and all the stuff a human being need to have a decent life. Now a question mark is opened. Why is this situation happening to us? I’ll explain to you in the next paragraphs. ![1_zO8EgrLbrhT3YNV3R1T0FQ.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmaDw7bvHCbsBQjqzJvdKTw62FxtgJVzsoiUx7WopShqsR/1_zO8EgrLbrhT3YNV3R1T0FQ.png) In the course of recent years in our country, an hyper inflationary phenomenon has been occurring, the reason is simple, venezuelan goverment is corrupt and inefficient. The reason behind this is because they are a drug cartel who don’ care for the fate of their countryman, so they do nothing to keep things going well. Getting us back to the inflation we can see an increment who gets bigger every month to the point that International Monetary Fund and some recognized companies estimated that venezuelan inflation was over 2,000,000% for the year 2018. To make things worse, now in 2019 inflation is speeding in the first three months of the year surpassing by now the 2.000.000% of last year. We are talking about outrageous numbers like 2.600.000% only in the first 3 months of the year. ![0002251056-1024x671.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcU4QCbvoQVTezuRoMHvmnp4zZYcxUkkm4GYjMmBMoWHT/0002251056-1024x671.jpg) What’s happening to my country is a tragedy of unimaginable proportions, almost 2,500,000 of my compatriots have emigrated in 2018 looking for a better future for their family, this huge number represented 8% of our total population and the worst thing is that every day the exodus increases; at actual rate the number of emigrants will reach 20% of our total population in the next 6 months. As a result of this, the neighbouring countries are even getting into a state of emergency because Venezuelans has became a social, demographic and economic problem also for them. I forgot to tell you that Hugo Chavez installed a control over every foreign money that get into the country. They have an organism to put diferent prices to US $ (by imposition of course) and people can only have access to that money if you are one of them or one of the few remaining companies who produce food with their price parameters (example Empresas Polar). What’s the bussiness on that? Goverment people buy Dollars to fixed price (let’s say 10 Bolivars each $) and then they sold it to everybody who need it at black market price (3.600 Bolivars at the time of this writing). People have to buy those dollars because they don’t have access to goverment’s regulated priced dolar and they need them to buy stuff for their companies or go to bankrupcy. This phenomenon helps to create an insane inflation rate that is sumatory with all the other nasty things venezuelan goverment are doing, merging into a deadly economic coctail who can only lead the country to a secure economical dead. Now then. There’s at least 25 millon people who still make a living in Venezuela and we can divide them in this big groups: ![HAMPONES.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmV1LCWPomKG2pwfjbri8X4EndS9pppPERVKHuMdT4e765/HAMPONES.jpg) 1) Oligarchy related to the corrupt government, this includes, figureheads, high profile military generals, businessmen, drug dealers, heads of the world of crime, islamic terrorists, among others, they have benefited to the point of even own millions and billions of dollars product of fraudulent business, drug trafficking and every shady business related to Venezuelan huge mineral reserves, among others. Studies demonstrate that they stole more than 550.000.000.000 US $. Only inside swiss banks they have more than 300.000.000.000 US $. 2) Historical entrepreneurs who were already based in the country before Chavez and Maduro regimes. They are forced to constantly negotiate the prices of their products under coertion from the government who obligate them to sell their products even below costs with the fear of expropiation or nationalization of their company by force using the army, showing how the communists get their things done. 3) Middle class or what is left of it. This group even were part of the rich class in the past, their fortunes collapsed with the decline of the country’s economy. Some of them can for now, eat 3 times a day; from time to time some of them can buy a chocolate but they forgot about to take a real vacation or buy some new clothes, shoes, a cell phone. Even buying a pair of socks is being considered a “luxury” buy. Everything is almost impossible to buy now in Venezuela and if you have to buy the stuff it comes with a collateral cost of important things like food or medicine. 4) The poor, who always take the hardest hit in these disasters, they go to work without breakfast, if lucky they eat something at work, when they get off their work is time to see what they get to eat (even looking in the trash) and if they are lucky again they can eat a little at night. This is a sad phenomenon that happens to 80% of the population of Venezuela (if not more). The minimum monthly salary is below 0.5 $ and one kilogram of rice costs 2.5 $ so, how in God’s heaven they are going to cover their minimun expenses with 0.5$, 1$, 10$?. Poor’s people kids are no longer asisting to schools because they don’t have food to feed them, i see lot of people begging for a piece of bread on my friend’s bakery. They like to help others but is impossible to feed them all without going banckrupcy. Im talking about 50 diferent people begging for food daily in that bakery, most of them children and old people. You can every day see other people fist fighting for the vegetal store garbage. Is sad what’s happening to my country. ![CFPdLxXWIAAQFm_.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUWZXgmDV1uV1fdoz7cVzXM5utETKCt1tiN6VAPH4Xk8H/CFPdLxXWIAAQFm_.jpg) Venezuelans are starving to death while the president dances on television. ![CI22LSWWUAEUM7l.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQma5SnHLu8N9mmPk7wkjdCXt9vPj28XEJbP6FJxqbF2Dx6/CI22LSWWUAEUM7l.jpg) ![venezuelas eating garbage2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWWPgHWEWgcvTVgxt7Ewz6Tt8ndxGyEZx9tYxV9BngYKY/venezuelas%20eating%20garbage2.jpg) What does all this have to do with cryptocurrencies? For me it has everything to do, if the cryptocurrencies did not exist I would be eating garbage in the streets. Our properties, our business; our real state, our investments gave me profit in hyper devaluated bolivars while all the products we consume where and still are priced at black market dollar exchange rate who is far beyond government fixed price as we saw before. ![31845139.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQiQWMPfMuH2z7uFem1437m9exs1cHpUuEci314b4iGyh/31845139.jpeg) In June of 2017 my brohter and i where in desperate mode because we got too close to have nothing to eat. He had a gaming computer machine with 2 970’s and 3 benq gaming monitors. When he spoke to a friend to sell him the cards, he told my brohter to mine Zcash instead of sell the cards. He explained us everythinghe knew about mining and we just started to do that. When we saw that 2 970’s gave us close to 3$ a day we decided to sell our commercial building in a price close to 20% of market price, our dad boat engine and every stuff we had inside our house, refrigerators, air conditioning units, tires, our cars, motorcycles, everything that we sold it was at rebate price, almost free because we were desperate and nobody had money to buy at market price. After that movement we managed to get 6 1080ti’s, 5 1060’s, 1 1070, 4 970’s and one 980. We started the mining bussines when prices where getting all time highs and we where jumping because we had some money to have a decent life. That sensation of security last until january of 2018 when Bitcoin started to go down just after hit an all time high of almost 20.000$ and never stopped until it reach something like 5.000$. We passed from an income of 40 to 60$ a day to 12$ a day and everything in Venezuela was gotten worse with inflation getting higer every day. The advantage we had as being a miner was history. ![bitcoin-market-price-usd-resized.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUDdbE9gZiea9VjeCUb5Jb1m6uFfCdr28WtG8H7E5pgo9/bitcoin-market-price-usd-resized.png) On October of 2018, Bitcoin price was around 6.500$ and a sign of a bull market was ahead, everybody was speaking of what price will Bitcoin hit this time and suddenly somebody offered to buy our hostel and remaining house. It was a really bad price but as we where close to situation like we had before we knew about cryptocurrency, we decided to sell it and switched every dollar to bitcoin. ![masternode-1-1024x767.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbom5G29DKMdTAjwDxNYQe1buPpgstePpBamvjbicLrC2/masternode-1-1024x767.png) We bought at 6700$ per Bitcoin and we decided that mining was not an option because we sold our 125kva generator with the hostel and energy cuts in Venezuela where getting more and more common. So, after some thinking we decided to invest in masternodes, we knew about gentarium platform and their shared masternodes where exactly what we needed. Our investment was poorly, mainly because i acted like a dreamer and not with real facts. I convinced my brother to install Logiscoin, Lightpay coin, Qyno, Coin2lay, Cryptoflow, Gentarium and Safeinsure masternodes. 15 days after we installed the new masternodes Bitcoin prices where sinking, we believed that everything was about to stabilice and never eliminated our bad masternodes and sold the coins for good. When Bitcoin was at 3.200$. Our hostel’s money was history and only our investment in Safeinsure was alive. We where broke again. We took deep this time because we invested what we had left and almost lost everything of it. Investing in any business in Venezuela was a crazy movement due to our high inflation rates so we had no choice to keep believing in crypto. Thank God Safeinsure project was a serious one. When all prices where sinking at blazing speed on 2018’s nasty bear market, Safeinsure was maintaining a lower downtrend rate. As a comparison, whe we bought Logiscoin we paid 4.2$ for each LGS coin and we paid 4.3$ for each SINS. 2 months later Logiscoin worth was 0.6$ and SINS where recovering from 1.8$ and kept raising the value to close to the 3.9$ we have today while writting this article. LGS worth is even lower than before. My brother was talking to me weeks ago and told me about asking people of crypto sphere for a little help because it was getting impossible for us to keep helping our friends and the people we always do without really affect our families. My brother started to search for some help in social media, he tried Tweeter first and than he mentioned our struggle in a discord general chat. Luckily he got the attention of a kind soul, this nice guy John Davenport introduced my brother to Divi project dev team and they decided to help us. They actually did, they donated enough Divi coin to set up a masternode and every week they donate some more divi coin to build other masternodes. We are using that money to buy some food to help our friends. A day after that my brother was contacted by Safeinsurance CEO who wanted to help us too, they set a donation address and a discord channel related to our problem. ![safeinsure.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdxCWG2e15q3KMyFPFtvwvnZxn2MGTHxAL31gMQdwuTsU/safeinsure.png) ![1_6-xiKwTKz73UEmX1sPZFNw.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWxy7esGe3rVfRVyZyE34thF6qRHSVZrRxzRpe9uypcEY/1_6-xiKwTKz73UEmX1sPZFNw.jpeg) Last but not least, we just received a huge donation from Bitcoin Interest Project who will give us the opportunity to handle food to more than 5.000 people that are living in very sad conditions. And trust me when i mean very sad conditions, just imagine a seven member family eating once in a day with several bananas and a little bowl of rice. That’s the people we are targeting in our helping efforts. ![bcilogo.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWZnHJPyCDQV4sWYjndtdd4uXpehfDqSZ2B4frxH2M84v/bcilogo.png) To end this note i want to sent a deep thanks to all the people involved on this humanitarian task, i’m very pleased to see other countries people empathizing with our situation in Venezuela and feeling like they need to do something about it without expecting something for them in return. To all the people in Bitcoin interest project (BCI), Divi project (DIVI) and Safeinsure (SINS) we want to give you a huge thanks from all the families you guys are helping with your kindness. Is sad what’s happening to my country.\n\n![CFPdLxXWIAAQFm_.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUWZXgmDV1uV1fdoz7cVzXM5utETKCt1tiN6VAPH4Xk8H/CFPdLxXWIAAQFm_.jpg)\n\nVenezuelans are starving to death while the president dances on television.\n\n![CI22LSWWUAEUM7l.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQma5SnHLu8N9mmPk7wkjdCXt9vPj28XEJbP6FJxqbF2Dx6/CI22LSWWUAEUM7l.jpg)\n\n![venezuelas eating garbage2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWWPgHWEWgcvTVgxt7Ewz6Tt8ndxGyEZx9tYxV9BngYKY/venezuelas%20eating%20garbage2.jpg)\n\nWhat does all this have to do with cryptocurrencies?\n\nFor me it has everything to do, if the cryptocurrencies did not exist I would be eating garbage in the streets. Our properties, our business; our real state, our investments gave me profit in hyper devaluated bolivars while all the products we consume where and still are priced at black market dollar exchange rate who is far beyond government fixed price as we saw before.\n\n![31845139.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQiQWMPfMuH2z7uFem1437m9exs1cHpUuEci314b4iGyh/31845139.jpeg)\n\nIn June of 2017 my brohter and i where in desperate mode because we got too close to have nothing to eat. \n\nThat sensation of security last until january of 2018 when Bitcoin started to go down just after hit an all time high of almost 20.000$ and never stopped until it reach something like 5.000$. We passed from an income of 40 to 60$ a day to 12$ a day and everything in Venezuela was gotten worse with inflation getting higer every day. The advantage we had as being a miner was history.\n\n![bitcoin-market-price-usd-resized.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUDdbE9gZiea9VjeCUb5Jb1m6uFfCdr28WtG8H7E5pgo9/bitcoin-market-price-usd-resized.png)\n\nOn October of 2018, Bitcoin price was around 6.500$ and a sign of a bull market was ahead, everybody was speaking of what price will Bitcoin hit this time and suddenly somebody offered to buy our hostel and remaining house. It was a really bad price but as we where close to situation like we had before we knew about cryptocurrency, we decided to sell it and switched every dollar to bitcoin.\n\n![masternode-1-1024x767.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbom5G29DKMdTAjwDxNYQe1buPpgstePpBamvjbicLrC2/masternode-1-1024x767.png)\n\nWe bought at 6700$ per Bitcoin and we decided that mining was not an option because we sold our 125kva generator with the hostel and energy cuts in Venezuela where getting more and more common. Investing in any business in Venezuela was a crazy movement due to our high inflation rates so we had no choice to keep believing in crypto.\n\nThank God Safeinsure project was a serious one. LGS worth is even lower than before.\n\nMy brother was talking to me weeks ago and told me about asking people of crypto sphere for a little help because it was getting impossible for us to keep helping our friends and the people we always do without really affect our families. \n\n![safeinsure.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdxCWG2e15q3KMyFPFtvwvnZxn2MGTHxAL31gMQdwuTsU/safeinsure.png)\n![1_6-xiKwTKz73UEmX1sPZFNw.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWxy7esGe3rVfRVyZyE34thF6qRHSVZrRxzRpe9uypcEY/1_6-xiKwTKz73UEmX1sPZFNw.jpeg)\n\nLast but not least, we just received a huge donation from Bitcoin Interest Project who will give us the opportunity to handle food to more than 5.000 people that are living in very sad conditions. And trust me when i mean very sad conditions, just imagine a seven member family eating once in a day with several bananas and a little bowl of rice. That’s the people we are targeting in our helping efforts. \n\n![bcilogo.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWZnHJPyCDQV4sWYjndtdd4uXpehfDqSZ2B4frxH2M84v/bcilogo.png)\n\nTo end this note i want to sent a deep thanks to all the people involved on this humanitarian task, i’m very pleased to see other countries people empathizing with our situation in Venezuela and feeling like they need to do something about it without expecting something for them in return. \n\nTo all the people in Bitcoin interest project (BCI), Divi project (DIVI) and Safeinsure (SINS) we want to give you a huge thanks from all the families you guys are helping with your kindness.\n\nWant to help us? bodyThe history behind a food donation to Venezuelan people. ![bcilogo.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWZnHJPyCDQV4sWYjndtdd4uXpehfDqSZ2B4frxH2M84v/bcilogo.png) On April 8th of 2019, more than 7,000 kilograms of chicken, rice and corn flour were distributed in a population of Venezuela. This donation was possible thanks to weeks of planning and the effort between the Bitcoininterest.io project (who donated the cryptocurrency for the cause) and a group of crypto enthusiasts who took the responsibility of buying the food and then distributing it equally among all the population. The main idea was to do it starting in the areas where the people need more help. ![donation-page-300x169.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWQ78Zcx4zKxcUR53AE9J9fH7KY12bbuSRqFggg8QU3XP/donation-page-300x169.png) The team began to donate the food roughly at 12 p.m., just after several delays in food delivery by the merchants. They started in one of the most needy areas and, as we can expect in a small town, just like a bomb explotion, the information spreaded quickly. Not even half an hour had passed when hundreds of people ran behind the trucks loaded with food, pointing in the direction where their house was, begging the team to deliver their chicken, rice and corn flour. Adults, children, elderly people, mothers with their children, some on bicycles, others on foot, everybody followed us. In each street that we circulated we found ourselves with a sea of people waiting. ![DSC02592-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmemhxzkcmcLEU9dZn5ttKRPsWRFvuH8rG8oZNpKtmoTHb/DSC02592-300x225.jpg) Our crew was very excited about the task that we were doing, we joked with those we knew and laughed a lot, the words of gratitude of the people felt very well. Not later, our smiles gave way to tears when we were delivering food in one of the zones that is filled with people living in poverty conditions, somebody yelled us, when we looked up we saw a woman running after the trucks with a pot in her hand while asking to be given a chicken to cook it right away, she said she had more than six months without eat any meat or chicken and was very hungry. It was shocking for the team members to see that skinny lady, with torn clothes and barefoot, running desperate for a little food. We decided at that time that we should deliver a little more food to that family, and then do the same with all those families that we found in a situation of similar desperation. Later, when we recorded the day and analyzed what we saw over the townspeople, we were certain that we found at least 80 families with nothing to eat inside a high poverty rating 200’s families zone. That statistic is beyond sadness. ![DSC02611-300x169.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmeHD5YYg6iCsZ7gSYNVigTonM3KUo4MNaY5sFZnyVnZD8/DSC02611-300x169.png) For hours, the group in charge of distributing the donation went through the streets of the town, delivering food at the doors of the houses to its residents and receiving blessings from people who did not give credit to what was happening. The last two bags of food was given to two police officers, who helped us in the end of the day to organize the people of the last group, who surrounded with despair the last truck with the little food that was left. A little more than 10:00 p.m. the crew was exhausted, the donation had been a success. Pekka, on the other hand, tried to stay awake, he felt very excited about what was happening but the time difference and the exhaustion of his work beat him at 4 a.m. ![DSC02650-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYrbuH2BaSaYtX2BcvUwzRUb3WLkantUZXk5qgFDQgChR/DSC02650-300x225.jpg) April 9th, 2019 was an emotional day. Very early in the morning, Julian started sending the event information to Pekka and the members of the bitcoininterest.io community. When they began to show the photos and videos of the event there was a lot of excitement. The community of bitcoininterest.io knew that they had managed to donate food in a country where the government was preventing the entry of humanitarian aid. All of this had been possible thanks to the power cryptocurrency have to surpass borders, and the iron will of people who decided to do some help to a country in crisis. ![DSC02621-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcgQajQPmztuwFUCL5Y1zrQ6yKye6tBP9TZ6oVUYNmhdA/DSC02621-300x225.jpg) This important donation that took place in Venezuela, had two teams that worked together. ![Venezuela_historic_inflation_vs._oil_revenue-1024x683.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmP8aLWTdA2xLsdvDWgJrEhWhRpsY5ytpZB1BZfGHvRJYv/Venezuela_historic_inflation_vs._oil_revenue-1024x683.png) The first team was made up of the people who distributed the donated food among the population. The leader of that group was Julián Alvarez (Cryptowild), a cryptocurrency enthusiast who has been a survivor of the Venezuelan crisis thanks to crypto mining. ![ayuda-venezuela-bci-twitter.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPfVL1jgUUR4fqJZJM1ga8gJk8w3HfBjYx49mteZiXrhQ/ayuda-venezuela-bci-twitter.jpg) Being a charitable person led him to seek donations in the crypto world, which would allow him to continue helping all those people who are in need on his little town in Venezuela. ![1_aJRa1PyA8D5trqzXp1N_2w.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPTQidmMbx6RfeXuoodBxT6BovN8rp6iohbQY7hW681of/1_aJRa1PyA8D5trqzXp1N_2w.jpeg) The second team is the community of Bitcoininterest.io, who donated the cryptocurrency and of which Julian is a long time member. In the course of that time he has cultivated a true friendship with Pekka, who is one of the Bitcoin Interest founders. Their conversations about various topics finally led to Venezuelan situation, where Julian explained to Pekka in detail about how rough the situation was, and the complications that arise every day in his efforts to help the people of he’s town . ![2702-150x150.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNbyij8xFdZbvyc3r36PyFxaLnZJ69UqW1XcELQ4pGoE1/2702-150x150.png) Pekka already had some knowledge of the crisis in Venezuela and the situation in which Julian lived, in the past it had helped him a few times but this time he decided to go further. He informed that Bitcoin Interest had the intention to make a donation in cryptocurrencies that would be destined for the purchase of food which would be delivered free of charge to each inhabitant of the town, or at least to the majority that was most needed. The news shocked Julian, he had never tried to help so many people, his economic limitations did’nt allow it, donate food to a town of about 7,000 people, need a lot of money. He still accepted the challenge, the idea of giving food to all the people seemed great. ![Bitcoin-Interest-BCI-Launches-Charity-Drive-in-Venezuela.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRXcJkeCDPKApLLbfo5osoypn5FPRG92rux34vteQ2tNE/Bitcoin-Interest-BCI-Launches-Charity-Drive-in-Venezuela.jpg) Julian’s role in all this was to manage the donation money and take care of the logistics, so he gathered a team that was made up of close friends, his wife and his brother, to help him with the task. After forming the team he dedicated himself to negotiate with the chinesse food vendors of the town, he paid for the food and rented the trucks in which the food was going to be distributed. One of the objectives was introduce the merchants to accept payment in cryptocurrencies, some accepted payment in crypto while others preferred Fiat money, so the exchange platform localbitcoins.com was used to make payments through a Venezuelan bank. ![IMG_20190509_113505_128.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbXPbZwSA6g7zFMoaPLiNA98qiZLtybiVUf5o9bMbkkNG/IMG_20190509_113505_128.jpg) ![IMG_20190509_113508_696.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmV4Dz4WJrfUTtXHnCqeJnjMYF7naYvGvLFxF1dhvPT8sW/IMG_20190509_113508_696.jpg) ![IMG_20190509_113511_558.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUAe6ypbp6on1Qeiu79Bi4PjGJe8GgLjNJQdBaUfvCS9i/IMG_20190509_113511_558.jpg) ![IMG_20190509_113515_963.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmfWFWh1tJy7PbVvXAgkUrLea8tXVdVBgRtuKXL7JQKTqj/IMG_20190509_113515_963.jpg) ![IMG_20190509_113519_380.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbf1ZxG3GKNuYNWWRBWSkwfLMCtQss5ib3ybqiNXkNzsn/IMG_20190509_113519_380.jpg) ![IMG_20190509_113523_058.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdTdoZzZJffDTZa7MkRhn7rmyvrTwr9rUqzytdpcfgsQo/IMG_20190509_113523_058.jpg) ![IMG_20190509_113525_956.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdQky4BAW18kSvZfhMobvkXYtkr8sGhBicGsUEDHB2ATB/IMG_20190509_113525_956.jpg) The friendship between Pekka and Julián has been based on trust, this allowed the donation to be carried out transparently and with only one common goal. Even without having met in person and being thousands of kilometers away from each other, their friendship has transcended borders. And 7,000 people are grateful today with Bitcoin Interest helping efforts. ![bcilogo.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWZnHJPyCDQV4sWYjndtdd4uXpehfDqSZ2B4frxH2M84v/bcilogo.png) We want to thank deeply to all Bitcoin Interest Community who performed a task that was beyond every political, country and economical barrier.

The main idea was to do it starting in the areas where the people need more help.\n\n \n![donation-page-300x169.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWQ78Zcx4zKxcUR53AE9J9fH7KY12bbuSRqFggg8QU3XP/donation-page-300x169.png)\n\nThe team began to donate the food roughly at 12 p.m., just after several delays in food delivery by the merchants. In each street that we circulated we found ourselves with a sea of people waiting.\n\n \n![DSC02592-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmemhxzkcmcLEU9dZn5ttKRPsWRFvuH8rG8oZNpKtmoTHb/DSC02592-300x225.jpg)\n\nOur crew was very excited about the task that we were doing, we joked with those we knew and laughed a lot, the words of gratitude of the people felt very well. That statistic is beyond sadness.\n\n \n![DSC02611-300x169.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmeHD5YYg6iCsZ7gSYNVigTonM3KUo4MNaY5sFZnyVnZD8/DSC02611-300x169.png)\n\n\nFor hours, the group in charge of distributing the donation went through the streets of the town, delivering food at the doors of the houses to its residents and receiving blessings from people who did not give credit to what was happening.\n\n\nThe last two bags of food was given to two police officers, who helped us in the end of the day to organize the people of the last group, who surrounded with despair the last truck with the little food that was left. A little more than 10:00 p.m. the crew was exhausted, the donation had been a success. Pekka, on the other hand, tried to stay awake, he felt very excited about what was happening but the time difference and the exhaustion of his work beat him at 4 a.m.\n\n \n![DSC02650-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYrbuH2BaSaYtX2BcvUwzRUb3WLkantUZXk5qgFDQgChR/DSC02650-300x225.jpg)\n\n\nApril 9th, 2019 was an emotional day. All of this had been possible thanks to the power cryptocurrency have to surpass borders, and the iron will of people who decided to do some help to a country in crisis.\n\n \n![DSC02621-300x225.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcgQajQPmztuwFUCL5Y1zrQ6yKye6tBP9TZ6oVUYNmhdA/DSC02621-300x225.jpg)\n\n\nThis important donation that took place in Venezuela, had two teams that worked together.\n\n![Venezuela_historic_inflation_vs._oil_revenue-1024x683.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmP8aLWTdA2xLsdvDWgJrEhWhRpsY5ytpZB1BZfGHvRJYv/Venezuela_historic_inflation_vs._oil_revenue-1024x683.png)\n\nThe first team was made up of the people who distributed the donated food among the population. The leader of that group was Julián Alvarez (Cryptowild), a cryptocurrency enthusiast who has been a survivor of the Venezuelan crisis thanks to crypto mining.\n\n ![ayuda-venezuela-bci-twitter.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPfVL1jgUUR4fqJZJM1ga8gJk8w3HfBjYx49mteZiXrhQ/ayuda-venezuela-bci-twitter.jpg)\n\nBeing a charitable person led him to seek donations in the crypto world, which would allow him to continue helping all those people who are in need on his little town in Venezuela.\n\n ![1_aJRa1PyA8D5trqzXp1N_2w.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPTQidmMbx6RfeXuoodBxT6BovN8rp6iohbQY7hW681of/1_aJRa1PyA8D5trqzXp1N_2w.jpeg)\n\n \nThe second team is the community of Bitcoininterest.io, who donated the cryptocurrency and of which Julian is a long time member. In the course of that time he has cultivated a true friendship with Pekka, who is one of the Bitcoin Interest founders. Their conversations about various topics finally led to Venezuelan situation, where Julian explained to Pekka in detail about how rough the situation was, and the complications that arise every day in his efforts to help the people of he’s town .\n\n![2702-150x150.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNbyij8xFdZbvyc3r36PyFxaLnZJ69UqW1XcELQ4pGoE1/2702-150x150.png)\n\n\nPekka already had some knowledge of the crisis in Venezuela and the situation in which Julian lived, in the past it had helped him a few times but this time he decided to go further. He still accepted the challenge, the idea of giving food to all the people seemed great.\n\n ![Bitcoin-Interest-BCI-Launches-Charity-Drive-in-Venezuela.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmRXcJkeCDPKApLLbfo5osoypn5FPRG92rux34vteQ2tNE/Bitcoin-Interest-BCI-Launches-Charity-Drive-in-Venezuela.jpg)\n\n \nJulian’s role in all this was to manage the donation money and take care of the logistics, so he gathered a team that was made up of close friends, his wife and his brother, to help him with the task. \n![IMG_20190509_113505_128.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbXPbZwSA6g7zFMoaPLiNA98qiZLtybiVUf5o9bMbkkNG/IMG_20190509_113505_128.jpg)\n![IMG_20190509_113508_696.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmV4Dz4WJrfUTtXHnCqeJnjMYF7naYvGvLFxF1dhvPT8sW/IMG_20190509_113508_696.jpg)\n![IMG_20190509_113511_558.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmUAe6ypbp6on1Qeiu79Bi4PjGJe8GgLjNJQdBaUfvCS9i/IMG_20190509_113511_558.jpg)\n![IMG_20190509_113515_963.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmfWFWh1tJy7PbVvXAgkUrLea8tXVdVBgRtuKXL7JQKTqj/IMG_20190509_113515_963.jpg)\n ![IMG_20190509_113519_380.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbf1ZxG3GKNuYNWWRBWSkwfLMCtQss5ib3ybqiNXkNzsn/IMG_20190509_113519_380.jpg)\n![IMG_20190509_113523_058.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdTdoZzZJffDTZa7MkRhn7rmyvrTwr9rUqzytdpcfgsQo/IMG_20190509_113523_058.jpg)\n ![IMG_20190509_113525_956.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmdQky4BAW18kSvZfhMobvkXYtkr8sGhBicGsUEDHB2ATB/IMG_20190509_113525_956.jpg)\n\n \nThe friendship between Pekka and Julián has been based on trust, this allowed the donation to be carried out transparently and with only one common goal. Even without having met in person and being thousands of kilometers away from each other, their friendship has transcended borders. titleBlockchain adoption incoming challenges
bodyBlockchain technology faces several challenges in 2019. The volatility of trading markets demonstrates once again the need for a legal framework that provides protection to investors, many of whom entered the game in the final months of 2017 and had to see how their life savings vanished during the bear market in 2018. Hundreds of new projects were canceled due to lack of financing. The bad experiences made very skeptical investors who are no longer dazzled by a beautiful logo, a white paper full of possible fabulous events and much less by promises to be accepted in Binance, Bittrex, Coinbase or any big exchange house. ![1_mOLQyogdiwfe2DDt7LDwWA.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWzVwP8doAqDE4pRfS1WH3j8JNiPZrRCkWYvPqvWP6y8s/1_mOLQyogdiwfe2DDt7LDwWA.png) 2018 has been a year of learning. It’s like that teacher who made you suffer so much that you hated him but then thanked him for being part of your life and for everything you learned. The long-term forecast of cryptocurrencies is very promising. So many investors still venture and invest regardless of the downward trend of the active crypto market. The crude experiences have made these investors wiser, now they study in great detail the project in which they are going to place the money. Topics such as knowing the developer team (KYD) and questions like this ones, what’s the application to the real world of the project?, is innovative or is more of the same?, do this project have financial advisors? have become a fundamental objective for making decisions when investing. The search for gigantic burst profits has been put on hold, replaced by investments that report more conservative profits but based on conscientious studies. In the present large companies show interest in blockchain technology. Facebook is studying working with blockchain technology. It is an everybody known secret that they are developing their own stablecoin. It is rumored that the WhatsApp messaging application will have a wallet for cryptocurrencies integrated. Amazon even has a tool that allows you to create your own blockchain in minutes. Microsoft has created multiple partnerships with various companies in many blockchain projects, IBM has thousands of patents related to blockchain technology, Hyundai, Samsung. The list of business colossuses interested in cryptocurrencies is long and their reasons for choosing blockchain technology are very diverse. Personalities like Elon Musk, creator of Paypal, Tesla, SpaceX and Jack Ma creator of Alibaba.com and the richest man in China are two of the most influencer personalities of this generation, their futuristic vision of a better world include both blockchain technology as to cryptocurrencies as a means of payment substituting Fiat money. ![1__K7glQYHzF_zSfWJe8Yc1w.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbJd64SfMQJ4quTEUTPUwZQsKES9WWkge7feggzGX2gYg/1__K7glQYHzF_zSfWJe8Yc1w.jpeg) The Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde, said recently that they intend to create their own stablecoin and that cryptocurrencies have grown that much to represent a risk to traditional banking. The J. P. Morgan bank will also create its own stablecoin, a year after say Bitcoin was a fraud. Nobody can stop the technology advance. Returning to 2018, we can say that the laws of nature were o adapted to the blockchain environment. Mediocre projects have been relegated and abandoned to their death by investors who are no longer fooled, while well-managed projects with clear ideas, discipline and hard work have been strengthened, adding much value to the true objective pursued by technology blockchain and cryptocurrencies that is nothing more than mass adoption. Many people only look at the value of cryptocurrencies against the dollar but have no clue about the development that projects have had during 2018 and so far in 2019. The evolution has been such that the number of transactions of the blockchain networks exceeds those of previous years. Every day more people are trying the cryptocurrencies. The examples I can cite are too many so I will mention only a few. 1) Binance leaving the Ethereum network to create its own blockchain so that it can better support its decentralized exchange. 2) Tron supporting millions of dapps. 3) The people of Zelcore (Zelcash) developing their wallet to it integrates perfectly with the Binance dex. 4) Digibyte project finding partnerships across the whole globe. 5) The Coinbase exchange house adding pairs of all kinds of currencies besides the dollar and the euro. 6)and so much more… In short, the developers of each project have remained busy these 16 months and this results are evident when you see the increment in the acceptance of users, consumers and merchants, who have begun to lose their shyness regarding cryptocurrencies by embracing them as a means of payment or symbol of savings and value. Lot of people is even comparing Bitcoin with gold. The truth is that those who attacked Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies but said love the blockchain technology gradually begin to understand that it is impossible to continue fighting against evolution and that one cannot exist without the other. This humble servant just waits for big chains like Walmart, Mc Donalds, Starbucks, Alibaba, Amazon, etc, to dare and start accepting cryptocurrencies to make life easier for everyone. The first giant that dares will be paving the way for everyone else and in the process accumulate a number of crypto actives that will mean humongous profits well above what they imagine in the years to come. The challenge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies for 2019 is to continue developing applications and tools for users that strengthen their already proven utility without forgetting to keep current major projects updated. Being used in the whole world is the main objective. The referential rate of change with respect to fiat money is irrelevant because mass adoption is a long-term project. I am sure that I will buy ice cream for my grandchildren with cryptocurrencies. Thanks for reading A Venezuelan Living in dictatorship. Being saved by cryptocurrency. And now trying to help. Help me and my brother help others in my country. Any amount will do. Even 1$. titleJulian and Divi story
bodyHello, my name is Julian and I want to share with you part of my history and how a friendship has transcended the struggles of my family and me, becoming something bigger and very important, while ignoring, among other things, the barriers that politics impose in third world countries and the rest of the world.I am a Venezuelan, and I fight every day to give my family the best. ![1_p3J0_ndz98nNEC2L_Ug5Ew.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmd76ZbhDPxLytkFRhkYSdhmUHTwkDr6hbhGr2Rjo8CCUW/1_p3J0_ndz98nNEC2L_Ug5Ew.jpeg) In recent years, the crisis in our country has pulled the population down to a level of poverty comparable only to African countries in their worst moments. Venezuelans have had to alter our standard of living drastically, and in order to survive, we must be willing to do almost anything. I, particularly, have reached the point of entering the Amazon jungle in search of gold illegally, a place where I lived with natives of the area, where I got sick twice with malaria, ate poorly, had no communication, and went without seeing my family for months. I had to expose myself to these dangers and risks in order to provide enough money for my family to meet our basic needs (food, medicine, clothes for my children, diapers, and medical care). ![1_zO8EgrLbrhT3YNV3R1T0FQ.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmaDw7bvHCbsBQjqzJvdKTw62FxtgJVzsoiUx7WopShqsR/1_zO8EgrLbrhT3YNV3R1T0FQ.png) I will summarize the last three years of my life in this way. Since October 2017, we were surviving by mining Zcash and other coins of the Equihash algorithm, until we sold our inn in October 2018. On that property, it was also our house. We sold it because the business no longer produced anything due to the operating costs being greater than income. After selling, we decided to invest in several masternodes of different projects, of which only one (SafeInsure) remained stable in the bear market of 2018. The others lost a significant amount of our meager holdings. I am a generous person, and I always help my friends when they have problems. The situation in Venezuela made my closest friends feel very insecure as to whether they would be able to continue providing their families with food and basic needs, so I helped them all as much as I could. ![campaign-300x169.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQBeMiVfZq4k6HPj2VwPuYpNBsXgoTxpGsPx1EHDkq8Sm/campaign-300x169.png) On March 28, 2019, I was on Safeinsure’s General Discord channel talking about the crisis in Venezuela when a person who was interested in my situation startet to chat with me. Our conversation was extended to DM where I could better inform him about who I am, about my family and community, how many people I help, and what my current situation was. He told me that his name is John and after listening and asking many questions, assured me of his intent to help me. ![1_6-xiKwTKz73UEmX1sPZFNw.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWxy7esGe3rVfRVyZyE34thF6qRHSVZrRxzRpe9uypcEY/1_6-xiKwTKz73UEmX1sPZFNw.jpeg) While we were talking, John explained to me how different the Divi Project community is from the Safeinsure community, and actually from ANY other crypto community with which he’s been involved. I was curious, so I asked him to explain more about the Divi Project, their team and community, and we spent a lot of time talking about it. I asked him to invite me to the Divi Project Telegram channel which he did right away, where he introduced me to all those present and told them about my situation. The response from the community left me speechless, to say the least. Almost immediately, some VIP members met and made the decision to donate DIVI funds to set up a Silver Divi Masternode for me. One of the other members, Kasper Neist, donated a year of hosting the VPS and assisted me with setting everying up in the most secure way possible. Other members of the Divi Project also made numerous donations, which exceeded 340,000 DIVI in total. Even now, almost seven weeks later, each day I am still amazed and grateful for the generosity of some people I had just met and who live thousands of miles away, all over the world, who took an immediate interest in my situation and my efforts to help other Venezuelans. That day was when I told myself that I wanted to be part of a project like that, so I offered to be an active, contributing member of the Divi Project community and they welcomed me with open arms. I am an active Twitter user with more than 1600 followers. Day after day, I had been searching among people for those with generosity and love towards others, and at least a little empathy with the situation in my country. ![1_aJRa1PyA8D5trqzXp1N_2w.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmPTQidmMbx6RfeXuoodBxT6BovN8rp6iohbQY7hW681of/1_aJRa1PyA8D5trqzXp1N_2w.jpeg) Some members of the Divi Project even encouraged me to develop an idea that I had in mind a while ago, a humanitarian aid foundation that would allow more people in the crypto community to help Venezuelans suffering in this crisis. With their encouragement and the help of a few other supporters and friends, I formed the Cryptowild Foundation, so that through it I could have access to donations from the world of crypto, in order to allow me to help the people most in need here in my country and immediate community. The creation of www.cryptowildfoundation.org was succesful thanks againt to the members of the Divi project. They put me in contact with Michael Nye, who is very interested in and sympathetic to the difficult situation in Venezuela, and he offered me an interview on his podcast, which I gladly accepted. ![Cryptowild_Foundation_Logo-300x82.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZSc9uGAcyen7245QFH2ZY5y1yF5VccLQfqEK3p8xHjp9/Cryptowild_Foundation_Logo-300x82.png) On the day of the interview, very early in the morning, I was the target of a robbery by scammers who posed as members of the Safeinsure Dev team for several days until they deceived me. In the scam, I lost all the SINS and their rewards that had been helping me feed my family and my close friends. Needless to say, the feeling of panic I felt that day, knowing that my family was at risk of starving, was the worst of my life. As I had the interview with Michael Nye in the next couple hours, I had to recompose myself. I called my brother and we talked until I calmed down a bit. By this time, John had already informed the folks of Divi Crew of the theft of my SINS, something that I was ashamed to mention because I was very upset with myself.A few days later, I learned that John had created a private Telegram group called "Divi Love for Julian" which was meant to help me, my family and the families I help, and privately invited a host of Divi Project community members who had shown great interest in our difficult situation. ![AOLxty97-150x150.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmckmVSGuzC2GougG8nC9HtLdDxVFZbcbGqTxw1ULhSUcp/AOLxty97-150x150.jpg) As if this were not enough, John came up with a plan to donate at least $150 a week in crypto assets so that I could meet our basic survival needs, solve my financial situation, and recover from the theft. Within a few days they made a donation to me of about $750 worth of crypto, which was yet another surprise that left me speechless once again. Other than John, I have no idea who any of these people are but my feelings of gratitude towards each of them knows no bounds. The help of the Divi Project allowed me to continue with the foundation to aid the most needy that I had in mind for the town where I live, and for Venezuela in general. Following the advice of John and the other members of the Divi Crew, I created a Discord channel called Cryptowild Foundation and invited them there as advisors. Michael Nye sponsored the Cryptowild Foundation website and lent one of his designers to carry out the creation of the site www.cryptowildfoundation.org. Once again Kasper Neist paid for hosting expenses and domain registry. The objective of Cryptowild Foundation is to provide help to the most needy people in Venezuela in the form of food, medicine, basic services, education, clothing, and even toys for children. We plan to do this using donations from the crypto space, which eliminate the barriers imposed by the Venezuelan government and provides complete transparency to those who donate to our cause. https://diviproject.org The members of the Divi Project have been a pillar of strength by which I have been able to endure the hardships of these last weeks, during which many things happened. I am very grateful that most of the good things during this time came from their efforts and that they also helped without expecting anything in return. To the kind, loving, supportive people of the Divi Project, I say this: the debt of gratitude that I have with you cannot be paid.I just hope that my sincere friendship, my efforts to benefit the Divi Project, and the success of www.cryptowildfoundation.org are enough to show how truly grateful I am. I am Julian Alvarez, a member of Divi Crew.

title#FoodNotLambos - Crypto company managed to help My little town in Venezuela
bodyHi, i want to share my story how i was able to get food to my whole town (Chichiriviche, Venezuela) by Bitcoin donation. I didnt want to make this post![DSC02573.JPG](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQmvE2BgDTpQrrqq9sNvBGcq1HPRVCBXgjtov3BuGqTRk/DSC02573.JPG) too long so i gathered all the information here: www.foodnotlambos.com We called this charity #FoodNotLambos as a wordplay from crypto "meme" Lambos! Please check the site, it's an uplifting story and there is tons of unedited videos and images (free for you to use if you so decide) about the food delivery. Site contains proof of my ID too, as a way to prove this story is legit. Yours respectfully, Julian Alvarez![DSC02707.JPG](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWYRPGdBQaymaKGVjJuivbVikbcRZKr3MsS3TKPZHsb3x/DSC02707.JPG)

titleBitcoin Private, la revolucion de la privacidad!
bodyBitcoin Private.
