      "body": "About six months ago I wrote an article about the Monaize dICO delay.  When they originally announced the start dates of the dICO there was a lot of interest.  They had a stress test for the dICO app at that time and it did not meet expectations.  As a result they retracted the dICO start date and said they will work to fix the issues and announce a new start date when they were ready  Since then they seemed to have dropped off the radar.  At first there was a flurry of posts and updates regarding the delay and what they were doing to resolve it, but over time their social media accounts went, for the most part, silent.  It seemed as if they had disappeared.\n\nThere was very little activity and then on May 10th they posted an update saying they were still around, then on the 11th another one warning about a scam account that was impersonating them, and then the floodgates opened. They have not announced the actual dICO yet but it is soon.  \n\n It's been a little frustrating following this project since its beginning, but the challenges they have overcome and the way they have done so are important.  They have a solid team and I believe that they wouldn't be doing this now unless they knew they were ready.\n\n Banking meets Blockchain has been their motto since its inception, and their goal is to provide mobile banking to the SME and Freelancer markets.  They also will offer professional insurance: Public liability insurance adapted to the specific needs of the business and will let their customers access crowdlending solutions in order to finance their business.  The final bullet on their website is their payment system via mPOS, SMS/E-mail, on site widgets for E-commerce offering.  All of this and more information is available on their website.  They have offices in the UK and will start there.  I did not see any information about expansion beyond the UK.  But anything is possible.\n\n They have hinted that there were some regulatory hurdles to get over,  and I suspect that this may have had something to do with the delay, but I have no solid proof.  They are excluding citizens from the US and Singapore from participating.  I understand this.  If the US DOJ can reach across the water and get another country to arrest someone (Kim Dotcom) for an offense that was not committed in the United States and was not illegal in that country then I would be scared too.  Go easy on them and buy your MNZ on an exchange.\n\n This is all very good news.  Nobody ever wants a project to fail and judging by all the negativity that flowed out after the initial delay there were many many people that were disappointed.  It wasn't all negative, there were many people expressing their support as well.  \n\n I rarely know what the future holds and so far I have never made any predictions about a coins future value.       "body": "I've written about airdrops before.  In a previous article I stated that usually you have to perform some sort of task to be eligible for an airdrop.  It usually involves filling out a form and then posting something in Twitter.  For a short time I was entering several airdrops a week.  It got to the point that I was spamming my own Twitter feed.  I stopped because I didn't want to keep spamming my followers.  It was also a little tedious doing the same repetitive tasks over and over again.  I got bored and was afraid I was boring my followers.\n\nThis (for me) is one of the problems that Castle (CSTL) solves!  If you hold CSTL and have registered your CSTL address you get passive airdrops without having to do anything else.  No more spamming your Twitter feed or trying to figure out what your Telegram username is.  For airdrop providers it gives them a platform to distribute their coins.   Having a wide base of potentially active participants is crucial to someone entering the market with a new coin.  It's important to note that the airdropped coins are based on the number of CSTL coins you hold.  This means fair and equitible distribution among participants.  There are many 'Airdrop Farms' (my term) where people create fake accounts just to get more coins from free airdrops.  The only ones benefiting from that scenario are the farmers.  This dilutes the overall value of the coin.  CSTL can help prevent this.  \n\nFor CSTL HODL'ers it gives them a way to earn airdropped coins/tokens with little effort and little chance of screwing things up.  No chance of missing a free airdrop as long as they are distributing on the CSTL platform.  It also frees the user up from having to perform repetitive menial tasks.  It also eliminates mistakes that result from confusing instructions, an example of this is to paste your Ethereum address into your Bitcointalk location field.  I've been on some non-Ethereum-based airdrop pages where the participants post an Ethereum address in the coin field when the coin isn't even an ERC20 token.  The sheer number of airdrops has trained people to copy and paste information without even trying to comprehend what they are doing. Today people all over Twitter use it when something goes wrong in with a coin.  Price goes down?  SCAM!  Development delayed?  SCAM!  Developer doesn't answer a post in a timely manner? Most of the time the scammers want your BTC or ETH.\n\nHere is a list of things to watch out for when considering an ICO.\n\nDoes the ICO itself and the team behind it all have verifiable and active social media profiles?  If the answer is no, do not invest.  You will want to check Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN.  If they are claiming to be professional this or that then look for proof on LinkedIN.  If their Facebook profiles all have stock imagery and was created the week before the ICO launch then it's a scam.\n\nDoes the website, whitepaper, announcement or have spelling or grammatical errors?  If yes, you need to take another look.  Errors in grammar could be due to a language barrier or inexperience.  Someone serious about their project will have proofed their work and there should be zero errors.  Another consideration when poking around a projects website are dead links.  Does the reddit button take you to a 404 page?  Do not invest.\n\nAn example of a slick looking scam website, go to oxfina.com.  It's a very slick site, but there are spelling errors and some of the terminology is confusing.  Their 'team' is identified only by the first name and therefore unable to be tracked via social media.  The team went missing after the token distribution.  No activity until recently, and whoever is posting on their Facebook and Twitter are not answering questions.  It's safe to say Ox Fina is a scam token.\n\nNow, there are always exceptions to the rule.  Projectcastle.tech (CSTL) has a mistake on their whitepaper, they mispelled Masternodes as Masternosed.  Since both words have red underlines I can see why this mistake was easy to make.  The CSTL team is also very active on social media. We are still in the early days of Cryptocurrency and there is no set standard for coin distribution.  Whatever half-cocked distribution idea the developer comes up with is going to be different from one developer to the next.   Some kind of application or form is required in most  cases.  Some just ask for an Ethereum address to be posted on Twitter. Real life has been preventing me from doing much, but I was able to get a look at the airdrop form.  I almost fell asleep reading through it.  The list of tasks you are asked to accomplish was monumental when compared to other airdrops.  I practically gave up.  I have been on a bit of  an airdrop tear so I was conditioned to submit as little info as possible.  Usually an Ethereum address, a link to some kind of social media platform and a link to a post about the project.  There are a whopping 19 steps to complete to this airdrop.  My first thought was 'no way am I jumping through these hoops'.\n\n Apparently I wasn't the only one.  The Rebellious Developers now have three different airdrop forms for you to choose from.  They ask for no donations.  They do not ask for private keys, and  they have a whitepaper as well as a roadmap.\n\n This is excellent news.  They are making it easier for people to acquire their tokens.  This means wider adoption.  It's absolutely critical that they get this coin in as many wallets as possible.  More people using it means a better chance at succeeding. \n\n I admit I lost my faith for a few days, but I'm back on board now.  If I have to do fill out a few more fields on a form and click a couple extra buttons then that is something that I will do.  I'm okay with that.       "body": "In a previous article I wrote about the potential for Bitcore's growth based on compound interest.  I will assume that you already know the benefits of compound interest, if you don't, I suggest reading up on it after reading this article, and then re-read it.  \n \n Other than the occasional comment or reply on Twitter, I have had no direct contact with the creators of Bitcore, so this is just based on my observations.  If I get anything wrong I welcome comments and discussion.  We are all learning in the Cryptoverse.  \n\n Out of all the coins on the market BTX is poised to become something massive.  Their airdrop system guarantees that more and more people will be looking at this coin as a potential investment vehicle.  Compound interest comes in to play here because each week there is an airdrop.  As of this article, BTX holders get a 3% airdrop (based on wallet balance) every Monday.  In December, this weekly airdrop goes up to 4%.  In January 5% and so on until the coins are all gone.  My math estimates that the airdrops will end around June-July of 2018.  This is a big window, and I know my math is right, however I am a bit unsure of the total amount of outstanding coins which is why that window is so big.  That is a big variable.\n\nAs the interest rate increases, holders will get more coins.  This will prevent people from cashing out while the airdrop progresses.  Once it ends I expect there to be a sell-off, unless there is some other compelling feature that has yet to be implemented.  \n\nUntil that time I would expect the BTX price to keep steadily increasing based on the increasing interest rate.  If there is a run on the price of bitcoin then there would be a sell-off as people jump on the bitcoin train.\n\nAs of this posting if you have 100 BTX when the airdrop hits you would get 3 BTX.  Coinmarketcap values it at $39.33/0.0043btc.  That's $117.99 or 0.0129 BTC.  \n\nThis is not financial advice, this is just a prediction I am making based on observation.  I hope I'm right.",

      "body": "Bitcore just had their second #airdrop after the big 25% drop at the end of October.  The current airdrops are 3% of your wallet balance if you hold 10 coins or more.  Every month the percentage of the airdrop increases by 1% of your wallet balance. That means that in December the weekly airdrop will be 4%.   This + 1% trend will continue until all coins are gone.  There will be a total of 21 Million coins when it's all said and done.  When they airdrops end there will be somewhere around 16M BTX in circulation with the rest of the 21M to be mines. There are five Mondays in January, making your total BTX haul for  that month 36.38 BTX.  \n\nBy the last airdrop in February, you would have 212.16 BTX.  \n\nMarch  6% = 278.10 BTX\nApril 7%  = 378.35 BTX\nMay  9% =  534.07 BTX\nJune 10% =  781.93 BTX\nJuly 11% = 1187.01 BTX\n\nAnd so on until the coins run out.  If my rough calculations are anywhere in the ballpark, the coins will run out sometime in July and the airdrops will end.\n\nThis isn't like staking a coin where you may or may not get a stake.  All registered BTX holders with a minimum of 10BTX get their percentage.  Your wallet doesn't even have to be open or running to get the airdrop.\n\nI do not know what the value of BTX will be in the future, let alone five minutes from now, however, the increasing airdrop amounts make this a coin to hold.  There was no dump after the last airdrop.  Even though there are more coins in circulation each week, people are holding because they will get even more the following week.  \n\nWill this trend hold?  Time will tell.
