Alex, forced to investigate alone on his father's whereabouts while dealing with the government that keeps an eye on him.       "body": "El sábado pasado inicié el experimento del que había hablado en un [post anterior](https://steemit.com/health/@cronicasdeunnerd/como-dormir-ocho-horas-en-cuatro-horas-probando-el-sueno-polifasico) en el cual mencionaba los beneficios de dormir menos, y de cómo lograr dormir hasta dos horas al día. Mi curiosidad por este tema comenzó con un [video de YouTube](https://youtu.be/lbFzL-0pEeU) (del cual basé mi horario de sueño) en el cual un hombre decidió dormir solo cinco horas al día, esparciendo esas cinco horas en un sueño largo de cuatro horas y dos siestas de media hora, una después de almorzar y la otra al salir del trabajo. En el video, el hombre parece haber pasado unos días muy difíciles antes de lograr adaptarse, pero una vez adaptado, su cuerpo naturalmente comenzó a regular sus ciclos de sueño, necesitando incluso menos que antes.\n\nEntonces, el sábado, una vez comenzaron mis vacaciones, inició mi intento de dormir polifásicamente.Ha sido sumamente difícil. La primera barrera que encontré fue mi familia, concretamente mi mamá, quien no apoyaba para nada mi experimento, pero ¿qué se hará? Amor de madre. Lo bueno es que han respetado mis siestas. Mi novia ha sido muy comprensiva, a pesar de decirme en un par de oportunidades que lo deje, ha respetado bastante mi experiencia. \n\nLa segunda barrera es construir un horario que se adapte a tu vida. Normalmente tengo clases en las tardes (desde la 1:30 p.m.) y en las noches (hasta las 9 p.m.), además me gusta ocupar mis mañanas con ejercicio y hacer diligencias, así que mis opciones se redujeron a antes y después de clases para las siestas. Nota cómo, a pesar de estar de vacaciones, construí mi horario en base a mi día a día. La alteración del sueño puede representar un riesgo para la salud, así que procede con cautela.\n\n### La Primera Noche\n\nComencé el experimento tomando una siesta de 30 minutos a las 9 p.m, y \"exitosamente\" logré permanecer despierto hasta la 1 a.m. para mi sueño largo (core) de tres horas y media. Aprendí algo muy valioso esta noche: para permanecer despierto es necesario tener un propósito para estarlo. Es decir, no puedo estar despierto solo por estarlo, incluso durmiendo nueve horas todas las noches no podría permanecer realmente despierto si no tengo absolutamente nada que hacer. Dado que este sábado fue justamente cuando escribí [este post](https://steemit.com/spanish/@cronicasdeunnerd/viviendo-sin-internet-como-afecta-el-internet-de-mi-pais-a-mi-vida-en-linea) no tuve problemas por un par de horas, pero para llegar a media noche tuve que recurrir a videojuegos offline. Me encanta Monster Hunter World, pero jugar High Rank offline es cuando menos fastidioso.\n\n### Perdiendo Siestas\n\nAprendí, por las malas, que las siestas no son negociables y que si no logro dormir alguna de mis siestas es el equivalente a no dormir por varias horas en un estado monofásico. La gran consecuencia de esto es que al momento de poder dormir, sea una siesta o un core, caigo tan profundamente que no escucho mi alarma o me despierta en modo zombi y decido ignorarla.\n\nLa siesta más crítica, considero, es la siesta del mediodía (11:30 a.m. a 12 p.m.), ya que esta siesta representa el único descanso que tendré por un periodo de 10 horas. A diferencia de mi siesta de las 10 p.m. que solo me prepara para un periodo tres horas seguido de un core.\n\nAhora, te debes estar preguntado por qué cambié de 9 p.m. a 10 p.m. Ya te explico\n\n### Un Golpe de Realidad y Rediseño\n\nHabía considerado en un principio que podría, de ser necesario, dormir en el carro de camino a casa (manejando mi hermano, obviamente) luego de clases si salía a las 9 p.m. (ya lo he hecho), pero no había considerado lo muy delicado que se vuelve el sueño cuando estás privado de éste. Pensé que por dormir menos, a la hora de dormir, caería dormido más rápida y profundamente, pero en realidad el cuerpo comienza a pedir sueño de calidad y eso no lo recibes en un carro en movimiento en una autopista de Venezuela.\n\nAsí que en lugar de dormir en el carro, opté por dormir en mi cama luego de llegar a casa y comer.\n\nEn sí, esa fue mi semana de sueño polifásico. El próximo update contará con más aprendizajes, seguramente.
