      "body": "The last time I posted on Steemit was in 2018. At that time, I was working in a very cosy job as a Technology manager for an oil and gas company in Cameroon. I had been in that position for 9 years. Work was getting too monotonous and I was not happy with the workplace politics. (I have never liked personal conflicts). Also, the socio-political situation in Cameroon was getting worse with the Ambazonian war of secession. \n\nMy wife and I discussed these issues and questioned whether it was the right environment to bring up our four children, the youngest was our little girl who at the time was only a few months old. Whenever we asked ourselves that question, the answer kept coming back: \"No.\" \n\nMy wife and kids had never lived anywhere else. I had lived in the UK for 13 years and travelled a fair bit around the world. Moving was no issue for me. \n\nIn 2011, my wife and I had visited Ghana on a short vacation and we fell in love with the people and the environment. I had even postulated for jobs in Accra to no avail. I had some money, and on leaving a top management job, my company would give me a handsome leaving package. \n\nTowards the beginning of July 2018, I went to see my colleague, the HR manager to say I was thinking of leaving. She was shocked. She tried to talk me out of it. She said there could be a possibility of an expatriation position in Beijing, China. That was not pleasing to me. I had been studying the Blockchain technology, had a few cryptocurrency investments, a house in Douala, Cameroon, and strongly felt it was the right time to go somewhere new and start working for myself.\n\nIt was time to leave time to pack up and leave...",

He had a son, Athothis, who also became king, ruled for 27 years, practised medicine, and wrote books on anatomy. Athotis is seen as one of the first physicians in history. Ghalioungui says that the first dentist in history was Hesy-Re (2600BC), a scholar, scribe and Chief of dentists and physicians to the Pyramid builders of the 3rd dynasty. An inscription on his tomb reads: “the greatest of those who dealt with teeth, and of physicians.” This is the earliest known reference to anyone labelled as a dental practitioner. Many years later, between 500 and 300 BC, Herodutus and Aristotle on visiting Africa wrote about dentistry including the eruption pattern of teeth, treating decaying teeth and gum diseases, extracting teeth with forceps, and using wires to stabilise loose teeth and fractured jaws. Many of the signs which represent consonants, vowels, things, and concepts are well-reproduced animals and parts of anatomy. Sculpture and embalming were practised. Anatomical signs for which there were signs include: pupils of the eye, the cornea, the heart, the trachea, the lungs, vertebral column, long bones, the brain, the meninges, spinal cord, ribs, intestines, the spleen, male and female genitals, the uterus and kidney.\n\nINFLUENCE ON GREECE\nJ. A. Wilson, J. B. Saunders, P. Ghalioungui, V. P. This is not only in medicine but in the major disciplines that demonstrate human civilisation. These publications, the media and the education system all portray the Western world as the originators and the main proponents of medical sciences. Nothing could be far from the truth as this short journey into the unknown world of African medicine will show.\n\nAFRICA - THE ORIGINS OF MEDICINE\nThe first king of Kemet, Ancient Egypt was Menes or Narmer (3200BC), who unified Upper and Lower Kemet.       "body": "I have discussed the advanced astronomical knowledge of the Dogon people of Mali. The Dogon believe that they came from Ancient Egypt, Kemet. In this piece, we are going to touch lightly on some of their knowledge of the constellations. I confess that I am not doing my ancestors any justice by such a very scanty piece.\n\nThe Ancient Egyptians (Kemites) 3,000 years ago were the first to record the variability of a distant star – and their records could provide useful information for astronomers today. \n\nThis star, the brightest star known to us as Sirius, the dog-star, has great meaning to our ancestors of Kemet (modern-day Egypt), and their descendants the Dogon tribe of Mali.
