titleICO Spotlight - Vestarin
bodyVestarin aims to tackle many hurdles across the crypto space in a single blow. It provides a platform to exchange goods and services for their VST crypto token, it provides a platform for creators to find others to join their team to create a new project to take to ICO, it will also act as a platform for these ICO sales and will provide peer reviews of the ICO's and will also show the contribution amounts and the amount of people that have contributed these funds. All of this aiming to stop the influx of poor and scam ICO's influencing the market. They also plan to tackle the classic issue of post-ICO price fluctuations. The times when the coin is released and will skyrocket and then the price will crash back down and confidence along with it. Vestarin is currently in Pre-ICO, offering a 56% discount and have currently raised 42% of their 5000 ETH Pre-ICO hardcap.
Team
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vestarin is[Said Radzhabov](https://www.linkedin.com/in/said-radzhabov/), a self proclaimed "serial entrepreneur". He has previous experience and exposure to blockchain technology as well as experience in the CEO position from his previous venture, Crypto Angels. However, this is not his best contribution tot he team, Said has a reputation as the "Eastern European Dan Bilzarian". While this is a very outlandish statement I believe that his mass following will allow for easy exposure to the platform. [Jana Alieva](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jana-alieva/) is in charge of Business Development - a similar role to which she occupied while working with Said at Crypto Angels. The fact that these two have worked together before illustrates the pre-existing chemistry of the team members, a strong feature to look for. [Alexander Strakh](https://www.linkedin.com/in/cromlehg/) (Smart Contract Developer), [Vlad Palamarchuk](https://www.linkedin.com/in/vlad-palamarchuk/) (Chief Technology Officer), [Alina Bondar](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alina-bondar-99aa7397/) (Senior Back-End Developer) and [Max Tishchenko](https://www.linkedin.com/in/max-tishchenko/) (Back-End Developer) make up the tech side of the team. Alexander is a Sofware Engineer that has 9 months previous experience in Smart-Contract Development for [Convesting](https://www.linkedin.com/company/covesting/) and [Taskfair](https://www.linkedin.com/company/taskfair-com/). While this is not the most extensive experience he also has 11 years experience as a Software Development Engineer, experience which will greatly aid this project. Vlad, the CTO of the project has experience in both the CTO position and Back-End Development. This experience paired with both Alina and Max will leave the project with no shortage of User interface development.
Project
As previously stated, this project aims to provide a platform for good and services to be transacted for cryptocurrencies as well as provide a more transparent and safer way for investors to participate in ICO's. It also aims to act as a kind of LinkedIn for professionals wanting to develop a blockchain solution. They are wanting to implement this as a web service as well as make it available on mobile platforms. The platform aims to take 5% as commission on transactions, is they cater for $1 Billion in sales (a statistic proposed in their whitepaper) they will receive $50 Million in capital. This number is quite possible if the project follows through to act as a marketplace and an ICO fundraising platform. The team is aiming to have over 500 shops registered by November in 2018, this is not including ICO's and private sellers. While this may not seem like a large amount of stores, this is the equivalent to multiple large shopping centres. This would provide a large amount of usage and traffic through the platform. This number will be raised to 10 million users and 8000 shops, if these projections are met that would mean a massive return.
Conclusion
With a Pre-ICO where 1 ETH is worth 3000 VST you will be gaining a 56% discount. This is one of the most generous discounts available in current ICO's and is something that acts as a very large safety net. I project this project to return a 200-300% profit short term and potentially a much larger return in when the tokens are released. I do not think this token would be one to hold all of your money in for a long time however I do think it will be a profitable venture regardless. However, as always, only invest what you can afford.
However, as always, only invest what you can afford. titleICO Spotlight - AdHive
body[AdHive](https://adhive.tv/) is a system utilises AI to find suitable social media influences that a company can utilise for their advertising campaign ([AdHive's Description Video](https://youtu.be/yMdJZANNP7U)). AdHive has already had their pre-sale in which reached its hard cap at 3 million dollars. It is a similar idea to current advertising. Your search history is recorded and analyses in order to calculate what advertisements would be the most relevant to you as a consumer. However, AdHive utilises an AI system in order to analyse the blog/video etc. in which will be monetised for key words and phrases which are then cross referenced with the tags of the advertisement. The result of this is that the ads that you will see are relevant to the content you are browsing.
Team
The AI being used in this project is already existing, which is great from an investing standpoint as it shows that there is a product already there. The [Scorch AI](http://scorch.ai/) is the AI that will be used, this is an AI developed by [Dmitry Malyanov](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dmitry-malyanov-5988691/), a co founder of AdHive and the man incharge of program development and operations. See an overview of the Scorch AI [here](https://www.slideshare.net/slideshow/embed_code/key/40cDIsjjn9MyXd) [Dmitry](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dmitry-malyanov-5988691/?trk=public-profile-join-page) is the CEO of [Sorsdata](http://sorsdata.ru/), a Russian company that "helps companies from retail, media and consumer sector to better know their customers, predict user behavior and build personalized communications". Demonstrating previous experience in the fintech sector. [Vadim Budaev](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dmitry-malyanov-5988691/?trk=public-profile-join-page) is another co-founder and is in charge of software development, he has also worked on the Scorch AI. He has 12 years of experience in developing AI solutions that are still used in businesses today. This project has very strong advisers in [Serguei Popov](https://blog.iota.org/@serguei.popov) who was a co-founder of IOTA, a very well recognised concurrency as the scientific and token product advisor and [Eyal Hertzog](https://www.linkedin.com/in/hertzog/) who is a cofounder of the Bancor protocol.
Use of Tokens
The tokens in the AdHive economy will be used for budget allocation for the advertisors and as payment for the content curators. These tokens will be purchased by the companies that wish to advertise using the system and will be used accordingly to pay those which display their ads. There will be a total of 450 000 000 ADH tokens supplied in the ICO Sale. Aside from the above mentioned uses, the ADH token will be utilized as a utility token on the platform and will encompass all payments and the AdHive company will hold their funds in the ADH token
Partnerships
This project is partnered with Wings, Bancor and Adex. Wings will be acting as support for the ICO period and will ensure everything runs smoothly, Bancor is used as a price discovery protocol for the token and will provide a liquidity mechanism for the tokens. The Adex partnership "will allow us to func-tion more effectively in the advertising market for both projects. In particular, some AdEx advertising campaigns related to video will be implemented on the AdHive platform using ADH Tokens." Which I believe is a massive partner ship which will allow for early usage of the platform before consumers and advertisers head for AdHive directly.
Conclusion
According to the AdHive whitepaper, 375.8 billion dollars is predicted to be spent on digital advertising alone. A 1% share of this market is worth 3.758 billion dollars, 28 times the ICO hardcap. This project is partnered with Wings, Bancor and Adex, these partnerships will raise the exposure in which AdHive recieves. The fact that AdHive uses an already existing AI for their project and (from their whitepaper) already have a user interface ready to go I believe that this ICO would be a great addition to your portfolio. however please contribute responsibly.

titleA guide to public and private keys.
body
What the *f--k* are public and private keys?
If you’re involved in the crypto community and have ever thought about storing your coins in a wallet or even transferring to a different exchange, you’ve probably heard words like 'private key', 'public key' and 'wallet address'. Now that’s great that you’ve heard of them but what do they even mean? A good way to think about it in a way that relates to your day to day life is your online banking. Your account number is linked to your password. When you go to log into your online banking you enter your account number or *your public key*. This public key is something that everyone can see, this is a key that identifies you to the rest of the world. Your password is your *private key*, this is the key that no-one else except for you knows, you use this to access your account. However, if you’ve ever seen a public and private key in real like you’ll know your public key isn’t just a six-digit number and your private key isn’t abc123, they are a massive, complex line of characters that look like a four-year old got their hand on your work iPad and sent a jumbled message to your boss. These lines are actually very important and quite secure. These *cryptographic keys* are used within a *cryptographic algorithm* to encode data. The creation of both a public and a private key allow for a process dubbed *asymmetric encryption*, this means that one key (the public key) is used to encrypt data (your transaction of crypto) and one key is used to decode this data (the private key). In an easier way to understand, if you were in France and you wanted to send a sexy postcard back to your lover over in New Zealand you could do this in two ways, symmetric or asymmetric. The symmetric method would involve encoding this data with a single key and sending both the encrypted data and the key to your loverboy/lovergirl named Stevie in New Zealand. This isn’t the safest venture as all someone must do is look at the key, decrypt your data and be in for a crude shock when they open it up and see your dangly bits. The safer way is to use *asymmetric encryption*, this involved encoding the data with Stevie’s public key and sending it over, when peeping tom gets his hands on this bit of data he can’t open it because the only way its able to be encoded is by using Stevie’s *private key*. Pretty crazy right? That’s how our crypto transactions work. When you wish to send funds to someone you send it to their *public key* and the only way these funds can be accessed is by the other party using their *private key*. This method is used by every crypto exchange/wallet there is, some may use a phrase of a few random words as a way to log on but its still the same stuff. We use the public keys to send coins around, want to send your Ethereum from Bittrex to MyEtherWallet? No worries, chuck in the public key and you're good to go, log into MEW and you'll see your finds there ready to use.

titleEveryday blokes guide to public and private keys.
When you wish to send funds to someone you send it to their *public key* and the only way these funds can be accessed is by the other party using their *private key*.

titleHow to buy bitcoin
body
So you want to buy into crypto-currencies, great!

How do I buy bitcoin with my fiat money?
Investing in bitcoin can be daunting, there are many exchanges to choose from and these exchanges themselves can also be confusing to navigate. However, Bitcoin can be a very rewarding investment and once the starting hurdles have been cleared it gets easier and easier. Before you start investing bitcoin into ICO’s or other altcoins you first need to purchase Bitcoin, there are many different methods to do this. Before we start making accounts however, it is highly recommended that you create a brand new email address purely for crypto, this reduces the risk of a possible intrusion into your crypto accounts and also allows you to keep track of what is going on with your accounts. Here are a few of the easier ways to purchase Bitcoin. Some of these links are referral links.
[Coinspot](https://www.coinspot.com.au?affiliate=58VN4)
[Coinspot](https://www.coinspot.com.au?affiliate=58VN4) is another great fiat to bitcoin exchange available and arguably the easiest to use. This identity verification process is quite in depth and requires you to take a photo of yourself holding a message verifying your account. However once you are verified you are able to directly deposit fiat into your wallet and have a choice of buying into many different alt coins. It is important to note that while being the most convenient fiat to crypto exchange it also garners the highest fee's across the three exchanges listed. However, it is also greatly optimised for mobile devices which is a massive plus.
[BTCMarkets](https://www.btcmarkets.net/ )
[BTCMarkets](https://www.btcmarkets.net/ ) is an Australian exchange which offers AUD to BTC, ETH, XRP and more. First, visit the website (this website does not have mobile optimisation) and proceed to the create accounts icon. Now fill in the blank fields and press sign up, they will send you a verification email to the address you have provided. Once logged in, you will be taken to this screen. You will need to complete the identity verification before you are able to purchase anything on this site. Also, it is recommended that if you are storing coins on this website that you set up two-factor authentication. This advice applies to every exchange. When the identification has been completed press the “Deposit Tab” and scroll down till you reach the “AUD - POLi Payments” section. Here, you are able to select the amount of money you are willing to deposit. POLi payments does require the login details to you bank account. However, this is no cause for alarm as this service is owned and operated by Australia Post and is 100% secure (unless you have a virus riddled computer in which nothing you ever do is safe). This transaction will then go through and you will have your AUD deposited onto BTCMarkets and you are than able to purchase Bitcoin or any of the Altcoins available.
[Coinbase](https://www.coinbase.com/join/5a54663ba702c5018a4e6837)
[Coinbase](https://www.coinbase.com/join/5a54663ba702c5018a4e6837) is a great platform for the person who likes to buy and trade on the go. Coinbase has great optimisation on mobile devices. Initially you have to add a payment method in the form of a credit card, once it is added it will do two test withdrawals and you will have to verify these amounts (don't worry, they don't take the money out just make a pending withdrawal). Next, you will be required to verify your identity, this is a very similar process to BTCMarkets. For this verification you will need to send a photo of your identification. Once all of these steps are completed you will then be able to direct deposit your fiat currencies into Coinbase and buy your bitcoin.
