Y sí, eso es un hecho. Ya no es tan común encontrar peces en las cantidades de años atrás. Además, esos peces de grandes tallas ya no se ven con tanta frecuencia. \nUna de las principales causas de esto es la sobrepesca y el incumplimiento de las vedas de especies protegidas.\n\nTambién el irrespeto de las tallas mínimas de captura afecta la disponibilidad del recurso pesquero y la supervivencia de las especies.\n\nTal vez pueda parecer más práctico para la cocina un pez pequeño, pero estos ejemplares capturados que no cumplen con la talla mínima, no alcanzan a reproducirse. Lo que hace que se ponga en riesgo la continuidad de la especie.\n\nPor eso, cada vez hay menos pescado y cada vez los encontramos en tallas más pequeñas. \nEn el caso de los tiburones, es aún más grave, porque estos animales son fundamentales para la salud y el equilibrio ecológico en los ecosistemas marinos. Sin embargo, todos los días miles son capturados en nuestras aguas, sus cabezas son cortadas para dificultar su identificación y medicion, y sus aletas son cortadas y vendidas a mercados internacionales. Luego, son vendidos como \"cazón\", independiente de la especie, incluso en los principales Automercados del país.\n\nEsto ha causado una dramática disminución de las poblaciones de tiburones y pareciera que es poco lo que se hace para contrarrestarlo.\n\nPero tú como #CiudadanoEcoResponsable también puedes ayudar.\n\nLo primero es no comprar tiburón y peces por debajo de las tallas mínimas y que generalmente conseguirás a la venta con el diminutivo \"ito\". También, denuncia y pública en tus redes sociales los establecimientos que vendan tiburón, peces por debajo de la talla mínima o fuera de temporada. \n\nTe estaremos dando más información sobre esto, muy pronto. \n\nSúmate a la protección de nuestros mares y de la disponibilidad de alimento para todos. ¡Denuncia!",

Pues comer, ¡comer mucho pez león! \nSolo debes tener en cuenta que en sus aletas tiene espinas que son venenosas, por lo que debe ser manipulado con cuidado. Últimamente es muy común ver selfies de personas sosteniendo una estrella de mar, lo cierto es que rara vez estas fotos pasan desapercibidas, y suelen causar mucha polémica.\n\nPero, ¿qué pasa realmente con las estrellas?\n\nHay algunas personas que dicen que si las sacas por un momento, la estrella muere. Otras, dicen que la puedes sacar hasta diez segundos y no le pasa nada. Ten en cuenta que matar a un animal no es la única forma de lastimarlo.\n\nLo cierto es que las estrellas de mar son organismos muy complejos que tienen en su interior un sistema vascular acuífero que está involucrado en la locomoción o el movimiento del animal, también en su alimentación y el intercambio de gases que le permite \"respirar\" bajo el agua.\n\nA este sistema entra agua de mar y es un proceso natural que le permite cumplir sus funciones vitales. Si sacas a una estrella de mar del agua, así sea por un instante, fácilmente puede entrar aire a su organismo y esto afecta el funcionamiento de su sistema vascular acuífero. Lo que compromete la movilidad, su alimentación e incluso el intercambio de gases.\n \nTambién se sabe que la exposición a la luz puede afectar el funcionamiento de este sistema.\n\nPor supuesto, algunas especies se ven más afectadas que otras, pero es un hecho que sacarlas del agua las afecta.\n\nAdemás, los pies ambulacrales, esos \"deditos\" que tienen por debajo las estrellas son muy sensibles e importantes para el intercambio de gases. Justo allí por donde las personas suelen tomarlas, seguramente con restos de bloqueador solar en sus manos o tal vez algo de gasolina del motor de la lancha. \nImagínate qué pasaría si cada persona que visita las playas de Los Roques, Morrocoy, La Ciénaga o Margarita tomara una estrella de mar para hacerse una foto.\n \nPor eso, en ConBiVe te decimos #AdentroEsMejor. Sounds like you have a huge task on your hands, I really admire that you press on and continue with your work in Venezuela despite the struggles you face. In Crete, the problem was only due to mass tourism, and that was hard to get the message across to locals as well as tourists that Sea turtles need our help in order to exist. Thank you so much for sharing it.\nThe similarities are very impressive, despite the distance.\n\n\nWe developed a sea turtle conservation initiative in the central coast of Venezuela, in the north of South America.\n\nIt is called Project Parape, \"parape\" is the common name given by fishermen to the hawksbill turtle, the species that we dedicate most attention to as the most threatened. They themselves have seen the great decrease in sea turtle populations in the area.\n\nIt is a great challenge, because the serious crisis we are experiencing in Venezuela complicates making the message reach the local communities effectively. Since it is very difficult to get quality food, especially protein, in this case, the consumption of sea turtles has increased considerably.
