      "body": "For a couple of days now I've been reading people blasting the decision by the SEC with regards to Ethereum Tokens.\n\nI actually don't think it's a bad decision. Instead of viewing crypto's enemy as \"the deep state\" I think we should become smarter and realise that there are some good guys out there.\n\nThe SEC are simply trying to protect us from rogue ICOs, they (rightfully so) categorise Bitcoin as a commodity (an asset) like Gold or Silver. While this isn't excellent news (since we have had it good for so long) - the day was going to come when they categorized it as something. They need to. With our current systems in place it's our only option.\n\nRT did an excellent piece on their \"Boom Bust\" show.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/GutBFb0RZxI?t=7m25s\n\nI'm liking RT increasingly for their shows such as \"[Keiser Report](https://www.rt.com/shows/keiser-report/)\", \"[Redacted Tonight](https://www.rt.com/shows/redacted-tonight-summary/)\", and \"[Boom Bust](https://www.rt.com/shows/boom-bust/)\". They are constantly talking about cryptos. It's my new news channel.\n\nKeep your chin up. The day of cryptos being categorised was always going to come, but this is great news. Anyone can view open source computer code and get involved in changing/submitting code and contributing to the software; if the community agrees with your changes, it will be committed to the next version.\n\nBitcoin was the first cryptocurrency ever created when in 2008 an individual (or group of individuals) going by the name of “Satoshi Nakamoto” uploaded a whitepaper to a cryptography message board (a message board is like an internet forum). After getting feedback from the other members of the message board Nakamoto then made amendments to his whitepaper and released “Bitcoin Core” as open source software.\n\nSince Bitcoin many other cryptocurrencies have emerged and usually serve a specific purpose.\n\n\n## 1.2. Who is in charge of Cryptocurrency?\n\n\nNobody. Computer code is in charge of the generation of Cryptocurrency and the management of transactions. Cryptocurrency cannot be randomly generated like traditional currency, it follows strict rules laid out by its computer code.\n\n# 2. Cryptocurrency vs Traditional Currency\n\n## 2.1. What this means is that there are no centralised servers, cryptocurrency is decentralised. It cannot be shut down, it cannot be censored. Pandora’s box has now been opened and it is growing exponentially.\n\nThis has caused the value of cryptocurrency to increase at a rapid pace. Early investors who spent a few pounds in cryptocurrency are now millionaires. It’s not too late to get involved.
