titleFantasy Football on the Blockchain
bodyRegardless of the amount FUD that has been surrounding the cryptocurrency space the past few months, there is one thing that is for certain… blockchain technology is here to stay. With some of the juggernaut companies, such as Facebook and Starbucks, engaging in the implementation and utilization of the blockchain, it is apparent that we will continue to see an uptick in its usage. Being a former football coach and player, I have pondered how blockchain technology could be integrated in the sports sector. Well, the time has come. A 52 year-old CEO of CrownThrown Inc by the name of Dan Nissanoff, is working to create the first professional fantasy football league that will be backed by the blockchain. Nissanoff is hoping to raise $100 million dollars to create the Crown League, a professional fantasy football league consisting 12 franchises representing key geographical markets throughout the United States. ![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmR5m9kvGbvCvfWgsEGUx7u5YaANVL5JDpxihK2T2AArpP/image.png) The Crown League will have similarities to a traditional fantasy football league, in terms of drafting and selecting starters, but the major difference is that each of the 12 teams will be operated by professional managers and fractionally owned by communities of individual investors of the Crown League digital tokens. This approach will allow for fantasy football fans to come together through ownership stakes in the same professional teams. Those who hold these tokens will have the ability to collectively govern their respective team. Each “owner” will have specific access to their teams’ digital channels, that will allow them to collaborate in strategy with fellow owners. Each team will have a General Manager and front office staff responsible for the day-to-day operations. The tokens needed for ownership will be listed and traded on regulated ATS exchanges where they can be bought and sold at any time. Each franchise will have the opportunity to earn more tokens by winning their weekly match ups, reaching statistical benchmarks, and their end of the season standings. At the close of every season, each owner will receive their share of profits generated from sponsorship, advertising, merchandising, licensing, event ticket sales, etc. The better your franchise performs, the more, tokens it will earn. The Crown Leagues wants to leverage the blockchain to help evolve the game into a new paradigm that blends gaming, investing, being a fan, and franchise ownership. The blockchain “provides a foundational structure that allows a potentially massive population of participants to govern the league through consensus – including voting on management, team strategy, rules, distributions, and more”. Blockchain technology could also be utilized to record scores and team standings. As mentioned earlier, the Crown League will be working towards raising $100 million dollars through an ICO. The pre-sale will begin this week for $1 a token through the Simple Agreement for Future Tokens fundraiser. Following the pre-sale, there will be a series of 12 “micro-ICO’s” of $5 million apiece. The platform will launch it’s testnet in December of 2018 with the expectations of its season starting in fall of 2019. For more information you can visit the Crown League website. I will not hold my breath for this project and will certainly not participate in the ICO, but I want to see if it has the interest and the legs to take off! Make sure to follow me on twitter, @CoachCryptos!

Nissanoff is hoping to raise $100 million dollars to create the Crown League, a professional fantasy football league consisting 12 franchises representing key geographical markets throughout the United States.\n\n![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmR5m9kvGbvCvfWgsEGUx7u5YaANVL5JDpxihK2T2AArpP/image.png)\n\nThe Crown League will have similarities to a traditional fantasy football league, in terms of drafting and selecting starters, but the major difference is that each of the 12 teams will be operated by professional managers and fractionally owned by communities of individual investors of the Crown League digital tokens. Each team will have a General Manager and front office staff responsible for the day-to-day operations.\n\nThe tokens needed for ownership will be listed and traded on regulated ATS exchanges where they can be bought and sold at any time. The better your franchise performs, the more, tokens it will earn.\n\nThe Crown Leagues wants to leverage the blockchain to help evolve the game into a new paradigm that blends gaming, investing, being a fan, and franchise ownership. The blockchain “provides a foundational structure that allows a potentially massive population of participants to govern the league through consensus – including voting on management, team strategy, rules, distributions, and more”. Blockchain technology could also be utilized to record scores and team standings.\n\nAs mentioned earlier, the Crown League will be working towards raising $100 million dollars through an ICO. The pre-sale will begin this week for $1 a token through the Simple Agreement for Future Tokens fundraiser. Following the pre-sale, there will be a series of 12 “micro-ICO’s” of $5 million apiece.\n\nThe platform will launch it’s testnet in December of 2018 with the expectations of its season starting in fall of 2019. For more information you can visit the Crown League website.\n\nI will not hold my breath for this project and will certainly not participate in the ICO, but I want to see if it has the interest and the legs to take off! titleBit.Tube’s Airtime: Proof-of-Verification
bodyAbout 8 months ago I wrote about a project that I thought was worth spec mining called InterPlanetary Broadcast Coin. $IPBC was a project built to help users monetize video content while incentivizing viewers to watch content through rewards and also to allow users to utilize their right to free speech in their content. Over the past 8 months this project has grown exponentially, and it has also managed to ditch the cringe-worthy name, InterPlanteray Broadcast Coin and re-brand to a much more vernacular-friendly name: BitTube ($TUBE). The rebrand isn’t the only thing that has changed for this innovative project, however. The project has made a couple of Proof-of-Work algorithm changes from Cryptonight, to a custom Cryptonight-Lite variant called CN-IPBC, to the most current algorithm CN-Saber (a CN-Heavy version). But the biggest change on the $TUBE platform is the addition of Airtime. Airtime is a very unique rewards system that will take 30% of every block reward and reward both the publishers and viewers of bit.tube. The current block reward is 454 $TUBE with a two minute average block reward time which comes out to approximately 720 blocks per day. The 30% of allotted $TUBE will be distributed as follows: 70% to the video publishers (68,644 $TUBE), 20 % to the viewers (19,612 $TUBE), 5% for maintenance & development (4,903 $TUBE), and 5% marketing, fees for listings, and airdrops (4,903 $TUBE). ![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcitTD4oUUSwwkY5pXoFLE9Cn4ca2Y9PrUvPScdJGN2Ua/image.png) The $TUBE platform is built for content owners, thus they get majority of the revenue. It is up to the publisher to create content that viewers want to watch because they will be paid based of the performance of their content. Viewers play an important role in Airtime because the device that the viewer uses to watch the content “donates” a minimal amount of hashing power (1-5% CPU) to verify their watching time. The method in which they verify their watch time is called Proof-of-Verification. The 20% of $TUBE designated for the viewers is proportionally distributed to each viewer based on the amount of time they watch content on the bit.tube site. Simply put, watch a lot of content and earn a lot of $TUBE. Payouts to both viewers and content owners occur 7 days after the $TUBE was earned. Airtime began on block 140,000 which occurred in early August. In the short time that Airtime has been active there has been many users trying to “cheat” the system by leaving their device running or watching their own videos. Regardless, the $TUBE team has been extremely active in helping to alleviate any abusers. I have been using bit.tube both as a viewer and content provider and it has been extremely rewarding. From a viewer standpoint, there is a ton of content and I have taken advantage of the of the crypto content that is available. From content provider standpoint, I can easily upload content and effortlessly earn $TUBE. This can easily become another stream of income to add on to my mining and masternode income! Here are my stats as of 8/21/2018: ![](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcyDtRyS5VvJQRLJkLgru1tWxkTtjD9U1qCh2oViG2ukC/image.png) Make sure to give me a follow on twitter @CoachCryptos and Happy Tubing!

titleElectroneum Mobile Mining LIVE - Bullish or Bearish?
body![ETN.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmavcgxtqDZxLGpE9NxWXhnQjiji4YHEPSxSiH5iL8JKrz/ETN.png) After a long wait, Electroneum developers have finally released the Android Mobile Miner. Users can grab the official app on the Google Play Store from http://electroneum.com If you already have the Electroneum app then it has been updated and the Mobile Miner is ready to go! Are you really mining? Of course not, but the $ETN developers wanted mobile users to be able to have a "mining experience". So once you click the "START MINING" button, it will look, feel, and even pay out Electroneum like you are really mining. The coins that are paid out are not directly from a blockchain reward. As a matter of fact, the Mobile Miner utilizes a separate algorithm all together. The coins earned from "mining" are dispersed from the $ETN team as a way to show how easy Electroneum is to get involved with. The $ETN team says they want the mobile miner to introduce people to cryptocurrency - without ANY risk! When moon sir? Well, with the Mobile Miner, probably never. But the user can expect to make a couple bucks per month. However, be mindful that the mobile miner will utilize some data and battery life, so you could end up losing money depending on your mobile data costs. I would suggest that you use the miner when you have wifi access. Enjoy mobile mining Android users. As for Apple, the app has yet to be approved for addition to the app store, although the Electroneum team says the iOS version is "written and fully functional". As with any new launch be prepared for any bugs and glitches. As always, do your own research and make sure to give me a follow @CoachCryptos. Happy (Mobile) Mining!

titlePegasCoin DOB2.0: The Best of ALL Worlds
bodyProof of Work (PoW) is nothing new to the cryptocurrency world. A miner’s hardware (CPU, GPU, or ASIC) solves a string of complex algorithms that are bundled together as a block on ledger. Mining verifies the transactions and then creates new currency units for a particular coin. Miners are rewarded for blocks. PoW mining has been a great way for crypto enthusiasts to generate residual income, but recently there have been newer, more eco-friendly ways to complete this goal. Proof of Stake (PoS) requires the user to “stake” or hold coins in their wallet. This concept of staking allows for the user to validate transactions according to the amount of coins that they hold. In some instances, the user must leave their wallet open on their computer in order to verify transactions. In most cases, the more coins that a person is staking the bigger share of the block they are rewarded. PoS proves to be more eco-friendly since it does not require the electrical power that miners use for PoW. Q1 of 2018 has been bombarded by new masternode (MN) coins. A masternode is a server on a decentralized network that is responsible for enabling specific services for a coin, such as increasing privacy of transactions, instant transactions, and direct send. To run a MN, the host must hold a sizeable amount of coins dictated by the development team, a decent understanding of Linux command line, and access to a server or virtual server. After setting up a MN, the host will receive reoccurring payouts that can be outrageously profitable depending on the coin. Masternodes are similar to PoS coins, but one shouldn’t be confused for the other. PegasCoin ($PGC) had an innovative breakthrough in August of 2017 as it introduced Depository on Blockchain (DOB) technology. The DOB opened in December and allowed for the user to deposit 100, 1,000, or 10,000 for 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. Upon completion of the deposit, the user would be returned their coin deposit as well as the interest. Currently, the DOB is full and you must wait to utilize it after another users DOB is complete. Pegas developers have been working in the meantime on DOB2.0. DOB2.0 is a hybrid MN, staking, and deposit (not to mention, Pegascoin is a Ethash algo PoW coin)! It is similar to a masternode coin because you must have a set amount 50,000 $PGC to use the DOB2.0. It is similar to staking because the user will get daily accruals. However, unlike the first DOB the user can leave the coins in their wallet. This isn’t the end of the first generation DOB. Each block will reward DOB 4 $PGC. 2 $PGC will go to DOB, 1.75 will go to DOB2.0, and .25 will go to the development team. First generation DOB rewards will be slightly less and will allow for fewer users to utilize it, while DOB2.0 will allow unlimited accounts. body![Profitable Mining.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYSW6DX3LBvXgN4AU9knZok21mL4qMNMEvzPUvnuePqet/Profitable%20Mining.jpg) So you are interested in mining crypto, but you don’t know exactly where to start? Well, you came to the right place! There are some good opportunities in mining that can allow for you to be very profitable depending on your set-up. However, there a few factors that you must consider in order to quickly meet your return on investment (ROI) and become profitable. Hashing Algorithms In the crypto world, graphics processing units (GPU) and application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC) have the ability to solve and authenticate encrypted algorithms using hashing power. Even your central processing unit (CPU) has the ability to solve these algorithms. That’s right, you don’t need any fancy equipment on your desktop or laptop to start hashing certain coins like Monero ($XMR) or Electroneum ($ETN). Below are some of the common algorithms: -SHA-256 (ASIC) -Scrypt (ASIC, CPU, GPU) -X11 (GPU) -CryptoNight (CPU) -Dagger-Hashimoto / Ethash (GPU) It’s important to know which hashing algorithms are compatible with your hardware in order for you to be the most profitable. WhatToMine.com is a good resource that allows you to input your mining rig specs so you can check how profitable it is to mine selected altcoins in comparison to Ethereum or Bitcoin. Hashrate The speed in which your mining rig can solve the mathematical algorithms needed to validate transactions is called hashrate. Obviously, the higher the hashrate the more rewards you will yield, but it is important to understand that there is a lot more to buying a rig than just picking a build with the highest hashrate. Rigs that can generate a lot of hashing power will have a very high price tag on the front end and also use more electricity to operate, thus making it even tougher to hit your ROI. BuriedOne.com is a great resource that gives you hashrate expectations from different GPUs. AMD RADEON RX 580 SPECS ![RX-580-Mining-Hashrate.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVHNWfrxo5qht13Ff5VDdodRTmAanyr2JLx4NfA3EKcEd/RX-580-Mining-Hashrate.png) Electrical Costs Each mining rig operates at different levels of efficiency and can consume varying amounts of electricity. Some miners can work a maximum load while drawing around 100W. More elaborate and powerful miners can push to well over 1000W. It’s important to know how much your electricity company charges per kilowatt-hour (KWh). The national average is 12 cents per KWh. The more wattage you use and the higher electricity cost could be detrimental to your ROI regardless of your hashing power. Cryptocompare.com allows you to calculate your estimated profits while factoring in your wattage and KWh costs. Mining Difficulty The mining difficulty of a coin is measured by how difficult it is to solve the algorithm for a specific coin. The higher the difficulty, the smaller the reward you or your pool will receive, regardless of the amount of energy your miner expended. As a coin becomes more popular and more miners join the mining network, the difficulty will increase. The more difficult a coin is to mine, the less profitable your rig becomes. Speculative mining is becoming more popular because it allows the miner to mine a less popular coin with low difficulty before it moons. Coinwarz.com is a great way to keep up with past and current mining difficulties for different coins. As always do your own research before you get started on building or purchasing your rig so you can be as profitable as possible! Make sure to give me a follow on twitter @CoachCryptos. Happy Mining!

titleCloud Mining: Hashflare
body![Hashflare.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmQXAuJugiwc1B11iYk4Rj7gvtsxMp953RKG3C4w2yshvz/Hashflare.png) If you have been living in the cryptocurrency world for the past few months there is no doubt that you have seen an ad or article referring to cloud mining. Cloud mining allows for you to purchase hashing power from a company that will use their own equipment to mine cryptocurrencies for you while charging a small fee. There are many reasons why utilizing cloud services can be advantageous. Here are a few: You do not have the funds to purchase hardware for mining You lack the knowledge of mining and/or hardware You don’t want to deal with the high electricity bills from mining You don’t want to deal with the noise and upkeep of mining rigs Before I began mining with my own equipment I did some research on cloud mining and ended up throwing about one hundred bucks into a Hashflare mining contract. I wanted to share a few of my experiences using Hashflare. Hashflare currently allows the user to purchase a one-year contract from a selection of five algorithms with four different payout options: $BTC using the SHA-256 algorithm at $2.20 per 10 GH/s $BTC using the Scrypt algorithm at $4.20 per 1 MH/s $ETH using the Ethash algorithm at $2.20 per 100 KH/s $ZEC using the Equihash algorithm at $2.00 per 1 H/s $DASH using the X11 algorithm at $3.20 per 1 MH/s Shortly after purchasing a SHA-256 contract with Hashflare the revenue forecast displayed my projected earnings for every day, week, month, six month, and one year. The one year forecast showed around a 900% profit… until I dug a little deeper. The revenue forecast does not factor in the increase in mining difficulty that will inevitably rise the longer that bitcoin exsists, nor does the forecast account for the hashflare maintenance fees which is $0.0035 for 10 GH/s using the SHA-256 algo. Needless to say, the 900% profit was a fairy tale. ![Revenue Forecast.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXW1e2iKSucz8mb29GaZsYWfSbtAtb99wh2htkZkKrwN4/Revenue%20Forecast.jpg) Another detail worth noting is the “Pools” option located on the dashboard. Your contract is preconfigured to mine in three different mining pools, but you have the option to select which pool(s) you want to mine from and how much hashing power you want to direct towards a specific pool. You can change this option only once per day. The bigger the pool the more likely you are to find a block, but you will receive a smaller payout. So it’s worth studying the different pools and playing around with your settings until you find a great setting. Blockchain.info is an excellent resource for an estimate of the hashrate distribution amongst the largest mining pools. ![Hashrate Distribution.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVFWm1w2tcj465tos3vdTBFsJ5v9rWZyyKBsCahjrWTZo/Hashrate%20Distribution.jpg) The most important function on any cloud mining site is the “Withdraw” function, and this is where Hashflare has the most issues. During January 2018 Hashflare shutdown the ability to withdraw $BTC earning for about two weeks. Once the function was back up-and-running there was a withdraw minimum of .05003672 BTC. I understand that Hashflare does not want to clog the network up with small withdraws, but currently I cannot withdraw until I am near the end of my contract. Many users will purchase smaller contracts and will not reach the minimum withdraw amount! Hashflare stated that if you never meet the minimum you can take it all out once your contract is up. The important take-away is that Hashflare or any Cloud Mining service has a lot of control on your payouts. Nicehash, for instance, was hacked for over 60 million dollars’ worth of bitcoin in December of 2017. As with any cryptocurrency investment, it’s vital that you never invest more than you are willing to lose. Make sure to follow me on twitter @CoachCryptos and as always Happy Mining!

titleSpec Mining: InterPlanetary Broadcast Coin ($IPBC)
body![IPBC Logo.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmWAPrfFRCevSVmdfSPbJnyA1TyRpicPZjzCsVawSifxDk/IPBC%20Logo.jpg)Speculative mining, if done right, can lead to some major profits. The thought process behind spec mining is simple: find and mine a new cryptocurrency before it has been priced, valued and placed on a major market. Spec mining allows the miner to have a very low ROI on the mined coin, thus becoming profitable quicker than ever. ![IPBC Roadmap.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmeUknmXjVfqE6kRGQCsXq9tWJxbawcdsizd5w9UuRDGGf/IPBC%20Roadmap.jpg) I am currently CPU/GPU spec mining InterPlanetary Broadcast Coin ($IPBC) which utilizes the Cryptonight algorithm. Although I am not a fan of the coin’s name, after reading their white paper I was immediately intrigued. The purpose of IPBC is to monetize your video content by using a fair use reward system for data content. IPBC has hopes of making data independent from data storage companies and securing the worldwide right of free speech without censorship. Not only does IPBC have a solid mission, but they have a full development team and advisory board. This is very rare with coins at this stage. There was no ICO or premine and the website already has a working product along with many other functioning features: IPBC Platform – the portal for all services full responsive for all devices. IPBC Broadcast – the streaming platform for gaming and entertainment. IPBC TV – the streaming channel for TV stations. IPBC Education – the streaming channel for schools, universities and training. IPBC Video – the video portal with a rewarding system. IPBC Upload – the interface to the IPFS network. IPBC Remote control – the browser based remote control system. IPBC Blockchain – the underlying technology behind the systems. IPBC Coin – the new IPBC cryptocurrency to run the reward system. IPBC Pool – the cryptocurrency management system. IPBC Mining – the player based media mining technology and the stand alone miner. IPBC Blockchain explorer – for verifying payments and examining the blockchain. IPBC Offline GUI Wallet – for managing the wallet. IPBC also has a few other creative ways to generate revenue for both the content providers and viewers: ![IPBC Revenue.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW489hRzKr5iqQLwzCrNp9nj7WpcQxbAX1iozjztngLJt/IPBC%20Revenue.jpg) Spec mining is well worth it if you come across a hidden gem. However, it’s a lot easier said than done. There are a lot of “shitcoins” and scams out there so I wouldn’t suggest mining every new coin that you come across. As with any investment of cash or hash, do your own research. Read the whitepapers, track their roadmap, check out their website, make sure you have access to the coins development team via slack or discord, etc. Most importantly YOU have to feel good about the coin that you’re mining. Make sure to give me a follow @CoachCryptos and Happy Mining!
