Specialists say we are even witnessing a real revolution in the field, considering the magnitude that changes in legislation will affect the good business of small and large businesses in Europe and beyond. \n\n<h2> What GDPR is? </h2>\n\nIn a simple search on the internet, we will find many references to an act simply called \"GDPR\" (General Data Protection Regulation), adopted by the European Parliament in April 2016. Unlike the directives we have used in the past, need national laws to transpose the provisions into the legislation of each EU state and come into force directly, without any formality, in all EU Member States.\n\n<h2>WHEN GDPR INSIDE?</h2>\n\nAccording to its text, entry into force was set for May 25, 2018, approximately two years after publication, precisely to allow companies to draw and implement their own compliance framework to the provisions of the Regulation. In other words, companies will have to resolve their GDPR issues before their entry into force, because after that date they will be subject to significant sanctions for non-compliance.\n\n<h2> DO APPLY GDPR TO MY COMPANY? </h2>\n\nUsually, the answer is \"YES\". In most cases, companies process, in one form or another, personal data whether they do this on their own behalf or do it in the interest of other companies. The concept of personal data is so wide that it is almost impossible for an entity not to process such data. Whether we are talking about employee data processing, customer data for marketing purposes, or sensitive customer data (health data, fiscal or judicial records, etc.), all these situations turn the company into a GDPR subject.\n\nEven more interesting, it should be noted that GDPR applies not only to companies based in the European Union, but also to companies based in other countries of the world, insofar as they process personal data of persons in the European Union. You will never need to be in a place to connect your device to the Internet with an Ethernet cable.</p>\n<p>Of course, there is a price we all pay sooner or later: wireless networks <em>do not even have 20%</em> security that an Ethernet network can have, which leads directly to theft of passwords, personal files, etc.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;I will explain a little why they are so uncertain and what we can do about it.</p>\n<p><em>There are several types of wireless security. Some better set up, others not:</em></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;1.WEP (Wireless Equivalent Privacy) &nbsp;- </strong>An old security standard that has been replaced after 2-3 years. Why?</p>\n<p>Because there are many ways to exploit and unauthorized access to this type of security. In this case, the brute force attack is used against data gathered until the connection was made.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;3.WPA/WPA2 with WPS available&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><em>To turn on WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is a big flaw in wireless network security. </em>It attempts to simplify the connection process by using a randomly generated PIN. It is uncertain because the router will divide the 8-digit block into two blocks of 4 digits each. The router will separately check the first block of the second, making it easier to crack.</p>\n<p>This process will take between a few minutes and a day. The attack is called \"Pixie Dust Attack\" and will capture the WPS hash values, trying to crack them offline.</p>\n<p><strong>What we can do? </strong>In my opinion, <em>you should not even think of connecting to such a network.</em></p>\n<p>But, if absolutely necessary, do not log in to accounts that are strictly private: <em>bank accounts, accounts on social networking sites</em>, etc. &nbsp;Also, do not send private files or especially pictures that should not reach to your neighbor.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<h1>STAY SAFE!</h1>\n</html>",
