I regard myself as an observer. Human behavior truly fascinates me. The amount one can learn from observing others is quite astonishing. Although at times observing others can also be overwhelming when considering the flaws in human behavior. </p>\n\n <p>One of these flaws in human behavior is related to social interaction. This flaw occurs in all types of everyday social interactions, yet we do not notice it or we maybe we choose not to notice it unconsciously. When interacting with family, friends, or even a complete stranger, we often \"show off\". This \"showing off\" is in fact our subconscious efforts to deem ourselves as superior and the other as inferior. </p>\n\n<p>By observing and listening to people in your family or friendship group. What you will find will surprise you. People will only often talk about attributes that are positive towards their self. This, funny enough, can be identified by yourself primarily because you do it yourself almost everyday. Everyone does. It's in human nature. However, by acknowledging it one is able to better themselves as an individual and move ones consciousness further. </p>",

      "body": "<html>\n<h1><code>South Africa</code>&nbsp;</h1>\n<p>South Africa, one of the most beautiful places in the world. A diverse country with many languages and cultures. A beautiful country with some of the most breathtaking natural scenery there is on this planet we inhabit. Despite all of this, there's a darkness that looms over the country in both its past and present History. This darkness is Racism. A darkness that has proven to be a difficult obstacle for the countries citizens to overcome. <strong>Will this darkness end up victorious? This was a sadistic time of oppression, racism and cruelty towards the majority of black South Africans, who Historically were the first to arrive in South Africa.</p>\n<h1><code>The media's and governments influence on its citizens in South Africa</code></h1>\n<p>Despite the past tension between black and white, Afrikaans and Xhosa, by paying attention to the media and the current government in power it doesn't take a Historian to understand that History might be repeating itself. The media is quick to report on racial incidences that happen in the South African society. Recent events include an incident at a local <a href=\"http://ewn.co.za/2017/03/21/watch-heated-confrontation-at-spur-sparks-outrage\">Spur</a> as well as a local <a href=\"https://www.iol.co.za/news/south-africa/gauteng/watch-couples-horror-assault-at-kfc-drive-through-caught-on-film-10639719\">KFC</a>. This caused a lot of tension, especially on the social media platform Facebook. I, myself have read some of these horrid comments of open racism between black and white individuals on Facebook which saddened me to my core.&nbsp;</p>\n</p>https://steemitimages.com/DQmU8nF5yXG7sTyYinu1zgTsKsNm7U5Ye2DfqhYmXBp4ZzM/_87247017_87246802.jpg</p>\n<p>The current South African government, the ANC, under the leadership of president Jacob Zuma is also quick to use the race card as a divide mechanism between citizens of the country. A few months ago, there was a march against Jacob Zuma. People from around the country, black and white, came together in harmony to protest against him, asking that he leaves office and steps down as the president of South Africa. When asked about these protests against him, he was quick to use the racism card.       "body": "<html>\n<h2>Introduction&nbsp;</h2>\n<p>I recently did an assignment for my Developmental Psychology module. The assignment was about a feral child, who was known as the \"wild boy of aveyron\" and latter became known as Victor. &nbsp;For those that don't know, a feral child is a child who has not yet encountered normal social interaction, and who has not yet acquired language acquisition.</p>\n<p>https://steemitimages.com/DQmNPEfm8HWYrcquTLFsgSWTgUVPnGNXK3XZFFLxJXx9nfB/hi-marina-chapman-tree.jpg</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><code><em>VICTORS LIFE</em></code>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>It was assumed that Victor was an autistic child, because of misconceptions regarding Autism during the 1970's - 1980's Victors caregivers attempted to kill him by slicing his throat and dumping his body in the woods. Against all odds Victor managed to survive this harsh cowardly act of cruelty. Victor adapted to his environment, some might say Victor was \"raised by animals\". From the age of barely being able to think until around 12 years old when Victor was found, he spent most of his infant and all of his childhood years in the woods.</p>\n<p>https://steemitimages.com/DQmQrBWTBmgazczvLGL4Br4HrxGdfz8vFLqYR1M3rE37g6h/Feral-Daughter3.jpg</p>\n<p><code><em>WHEN VICTOR WAS FOUND&nbsp;</em></code></p>\n<p>When Victor was found, his behavior can be defined as that of an animal. He was seen walking on all fours. He has mostly lived off nuts and potatoes, and that is all he would eat. He could not speak at all, he was seen making unintelligible sounds like growling. He did not know the social function of using the bathroom, instead he would go whenever and wherever he was at that moment.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><code><em>VICTORS TREATMENT&nbsp;</em></code></p>\n<p>Jean Marc Gaspard Itard attempted to teach Victor language and Empathy which he believed were the main characteristics that distinguished human beings from animals. He succeeded with regards to teaching Victor Empathy, however teaching Victor language did not succeed. This was assumed because Victor missed his critical period for language acquisition. This was a time of the nature versus nurture debate.
