We all know that in the world of ASICs, those who manage to get units from the first batch profit the most. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>My question is: does this rule apply to the Antminer Z9?       "body": "<center><img src=\"https://i1.wp.com/1stminingrig.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-1070-Ti-Mining-Performance-Review.jpg?w=620\"></center>\n\nWhen the <strong>GTX 1070 Ti</strong> was announced, most of us were intrigued on how the card would perform for <a href=\"http://1stminingrig.com/tag/mining/\">mining</a>.\n\nFirst tests gave rather confusing results since every tester would post a different hashrate and power consumption numbers. As it always happens with GPUs that are not binned, no two GPUs can be overclocked the same. Or at least, the overclocking process isn’t as straightforward as we’d want it to be.\n\nThat being said, I’ve invested some time and effort into my 1070 Ti’s and the results are at least satisfactory. \n\nOn factory clocks, the card hashes 26.3 MH/s with a power draw of 120 W from the wall. This is not a number we can be thrilled about, especially considering the card price.\n\nOverclocking it too much resulted in stability issues which again lowered the output hashrate. \n\nHowever at the end of the day, I’ve found some sort of consensus between power draw and hashrate.\n\n<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https://www.youtube.com/embed/tpCEMMN5X4o?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen></iframe>\n<br>\n\nI’ve tested all of the popular dual mining combinations.<strong> Lbry, Decred, Pascal</strong> and <strong>Siacoin</strong> seem to work well with <strong>Ethereum</strong>. Thanks to the undervolting margin, the card can be overclocked and used for dual mining while keeping power consumption between 110 and 120 W. \n\nThis means that after the tweaks you can get a GPU that consumes less than on factory settings while at the same time hashing 20% more ETH plus a secondary coin.\n\nI took the time to compile a list of hashrate and power consumption for each combination. Since the coin is new, little is known about <a href=\"http://1stminingrig.com/how-to-mine-bitcoin-gold-btg-best-mining-rig-hardware-tutorial/\">how to properly mine it</a>. This is a pity because <b>(a)</b> the purpose of the coin is to be the new GPU-minable Bitcoin and <b>(b)</b> those of us who will start mining it first will probably get the most of it.\n\nI am one of those enthusiasts who are desperately building rigs and looking for the best ways to mine <b>BTG</b>. So far, I’ve tested dozens of hardware components in the attempt of finding the best ones for a <a href=\"http://1stminingrig.com/how-to-mine-bitcoin-gold-btg-best-mining-rig-hardware-tutorial/\">BTG mining rig</a>.\n\nAs someone who has been <b>mining Ethereum</b> since its origins, I have an idea on what could work for BTG. However, the more I get into <b>BTG mining</b>, the more nuances I discover.\n\nOn <a href=\"http://1stminingrig.com\">my site</a>, I keep posting the freshest info I discover on <b>BTG mining</b>. Does that mean that Bitcoin Gold is more technically advanced than BitcoinCash? Totally yes. Does that mean that it has better prospects too? Here is where opinions differ.
