      "title": "3 Day Trip on the Pacific Coast Highway w/ Pictures",
      "body": "In November, we had the opportunity to drive Highway 1, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway, from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The seaside roadtrip is one of a lifetime and had interested me from a very early age. It's certainly one of the trips where the end isn't the destination, but the journey is. The best time to drive this road is said to be from September to November. It's definitely recommended to take it slow on this trip in order to take in all the sights and food. Highway 1 is one of the most fun, thrilling, and beautiful roads in America. \n\n# <center><b>Day 1</b></center>\n\n## <b>Los Angeles/Malibu</b>\n\nWe left Anaheim in the morning and got into our Nissan Rogue. We were a group of 4 so we needed something that was comfortable and spacious, but not too big to where it would topple over a cliff or something. Yikes. Los Angeles is such a big city and it took at least an hour to get through it. Our destination was Santa Barbara, a wonderful coastal city just north of Los Angeles. We made a pit stop for gas in Malibu Beach, a quick picture, and we were on our way!\n![IMG_0502.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW9usqEKoW2iDPSxEZo689ZuS3zacstMdXjgQpQmRiShw/IMG_0502.jpg)\n\n## <b>Santa Barbara</b>\nThe drive to Santa Barbara from Los Angeles was only 45 minutes so we made it before lunch time. We ate some hibachi on State Street, which has many good restaurants, and took a quick walk to the Stearn's Wharf where we hung out for a bit. We drove just 15 minutes north to the college town of San Luis Obispo, home to California Polytech State University. We had heard about an eccentric inn called Madonna Inn. Apparently, everyone has to stay there if they're driving through and we wanted to see what the hubbub was about. My, we were definitely in for a shock. The rooms there are very colorful and decorative. Morro Bay was only 30 minutes away and we made it in good time. Morro Bay is fantastic. It's a giant rock formation off the coast and is home to many different sea animals. We saw many otters. We drove until we found Highway 101. The area is filled with wine vineyards which we unfortunately didn't have time for. The people here are so relaxed. I can't blame them. We visited a local favorite tourist spot called the Mystery Spot where gravity defies all odds. Only 10 dollars to get in but it was so worth it. We saw some huge, majestic Redwood trees. It's crazy to be in a forest full of trees older than the discovery of America. It's a humbling experience. We visited a local favorite tourist spot called the Mystery Spot where gravity defies all odds. Only 10 dollars to get in but it was so worth it. We saw some huge, majestic Redwood trees. It's crazy to be in a forest full of trees older than the discovery of America. It's a humbling experience.       "body": "Alright guys,\n\nI don't know if you've heard of the [Instant Pot](https://www.amazon.com/Instant-Pot-Multi-Use-Programmable-Packaging/dp/B00FLYWNYQ), but it's the most amazing invention on earth. I got it recently on a whim after hearing about it at work and decided to put it to use. I was addicted. I've cooked lots of things like Mac and Cheese, Tomato Basil Soup, and my own Spicy Spaghetti.\n\nWho doesn't like spaghetti? However, I love my spaghetti very spicy and I always want seconds after I'm done eating my first plate. I wanted to share my recipe with you fellow steemers!\n\n![IMG_0012.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmeEAqa7tDzQzfi4AxqsSHFsGDnNyso3xMVGV9Ybmq7B64/IMG_0012.jpg)\n\n<b>Quy's Instant Pot Spicy Spaghetti</b>\n\n<b>Ingredients</b>\n\n6 qt Instant Pot\n1 lb Spaghetti Pasta\n1 lb Mild/Spicy Ground Pork\n20 oz Water\n1 24oz Marinara Sauce\n1 can (14.5 oz) Diced Tomatoes (I use green pepper and onion)\n1/2 tsp Garlic Powder,  Italian Seasoning, Salt, Pepper\nParmesan Cheese\n\n<b>Directions</b>\n1. Set Instant Pot to Saute mode and wait until it says \"HOT\". Add ground pork and season with garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Break the meat apart and cook the meat until browned.\n2.  Hit cancel on Instant Pot and break spaghetti pasta in half. Place on top of the ground pork and make sure it's evenly spread out to avoid sticking together while cooking.\n3. Pour Spaghetti/Marinara Sauce, Diced Tomatoes, and 20 oz of water into the Instant Pot. Make sure the noodles are covered with liquid.\n4. Set to Pressure Cook Manual (High Pressure) and set the timer for 8 minutes. \n5. Once timer is up, release the valve for quick release. Release the top, stir well, and pour out any excess liquid if any. \n6. Serve warm with Parmesan cheese on top and enjoy!\n\nLet me know what you guys think of it.",
