| body |  INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon instant yeast 1 1⁄4 cups warm water 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 tablespoon sugar 3 to cups flour METHOD In the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl (if mixing by hand), combine the water, yeast, oil ,salt,sugar and 1 1⁄2 cups flour. Beat to form a soft batter-like consistency. Add additional flour until the dough starts to come together. Add enough flour to form a soft dough that clears the sides of the bowl and knead for 4-5 minutes with an electric mixer or 8-9 minutes by hand until the dough is smooth and elastic. place in a greased Tupperware and allow the dough to raise . on a floured surface pat the dough down , make small balls approx 6 to 8 depending how big you want . preheat oven to 220 degrees start rolling out , try to roll evening and this shouldn't be thin . place on a floured oven tray . bake until you see them raising approx 2 minutes and turn them around bake for another 1 minute . remove , place on a cloth close nicely and close with a packet or a tupperware this will keep pita soft . |

| body |  INGREDIENTS Drumsticks 2 tomatoes 1 big potato or 2 small 1 big brenjol or 4 to 5 baby brenjols dhania (coriander) 1 teaspoon garlic 1 teaspoon ginger ground green chili ( how strong you eat ) 1 teaspoon jeera powder 2 teaspoon dhana powder 1⁄4 teaspoon haldi salt ingredients powder curry leaves little Rye (black seed) seeds oil METHOD Add some oil to a pressure cooker keep it on low heat , add the ginger garlic and ground green chili , add all the chopped veggies along wit the dry spices also add 2 cups of water bring to boil , close the pressure cooker lid allow this to cook approx 4 to 5 whistles . before serving for the temper : in a small pan add some oil heat it up add the Rye (black seed) allow to pop add the ingredients powder and curry leaves , pour this to cooked veggie . if there is still a lot of water in the veggie just burn it out . garnish with freshly chopped dhania (coriander) INFO you can also fry patta and serve it with this veggie dish |

| body |  INGREDIENTS 1 long piece topside steak ( less then half a kilo ) Cut up into thin strips. Marinate in : 1 teaspoon garlic 1⁄2 teaspoon ginger 3 tablespoon vinegar 1 teaspoon Chinese salt 1⁄2 teaspoon white pepper 1 teaspoon steak and chops spice 1⁄2 teaspoon jeera spice Chili powder 2 teaspoon soya sauce Oil Cook the steak until soft and tender add water whilst cooking approx 2 glasses . Sauce : 3 tablespoon steers peri sauce 1⁄4 cup Maggie's sweet and hot sauce ( if u Dnt have u can use the Jojos chili sauce) 2 teaspoon sweet chili sauce 3 tablespoon soya sauce 1 teaspoon corn flour 1⁄2 cup water When the steak has cooked completely Add the sauces with 1⁄4 cup water and summer just a little . Make a paste wit corn flour and water and add this to the mixture as well to thicken and simmer . Serve with garlic naan . U can even add some garlic to a small pan with oil braise it and throw on top of Manchurian Naan : 1 teaspoon yeast 3⁄4 cup warm water 2 cups snowflake flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 2 tablespoon oil 2 1⁄2 teaspoon plain yogurt mix the yeast and warm water together . In the meantime add the the ingredients and using your fingers form breadcrumb like texture . add the yeast water and form a soft dough . add more water if necessary . cover and allow dough to rest for atleast 1 hour . roll out thick . spread water on 1 side of the naan and place on hot tawa and fry. cook both sides and spread butter and sesame seeds serve immediately . METHOD Cook the steak until soft and tender add water whilst cooking approx 2 glasses . sauce : Cook the steak until soft and tender add water whilst cooking approx 2 glasses . When the steak has cooked completely Add the sauces with 1⁄4 cup water and summer just a little . Make a paste wit corn flour and water and add this to the mixture as well to thicken and simmer . | body |  RECIPE Roasted Butternut Red Onion Steak Salad Rec cred: Ruhana Ebrahim Pic cred: @mama_taught_me_well Ingredients: 2x 400g Checkers packet Butternut cubes 1 red onion (cut into quarters) 1⁄2 teaspoon salt 1⁄4 teaspoon dhana Jeeru (Cumin) powder 1⁄4 teaspoon rough red chillies 2 tablespoon oil 4 tablespoon tamarind chutney 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar 250g cooked masala steak (stripped) 1 avocado (diced) Frilly lettuce/ rocket leaves Feta (cubed) 4-5 peppadews (chopped) Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. 2. Place the butternut chunks on a greased oven tray. 3. Drizzle with oil and spices and cook for 30min. 4. Add the balsamic vinegar and tamarind chutney and turn the butternut. Then add red onion. 5. Cook till butternut is tender and the balsamic has reduced. 6. Turn again and leave to cool. 7. Layer down frilly lettuce/ rocket leaves. 8. Then place on butternut & onion. 9. Cut avocado and toss immediately with a dash of lemon juice. 10. Then place over avocado, feta, peppadews and stripped steak. Enjoy it at room temperature. Note: Masala steak recipe was previously posted. |

Seep saffron in 2 tablespoon water. 2. Marinate chicken in spices, garlic, chillies, lemon, yoghurt & saffron water. 3. Heat oil in flat shallow pot. 4. Place in marinated fillets (reserving marinade) & cook until just turns white on either side. 5. Spoon onto fillets reserved marinade and place under preheated oven on grill setting. 6. | body |  RECIPE Easy butter chicken @mubina_18 ½ cup plain greek style yogurt 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon haldi 2 teaspoon garam masala 1 n1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon ground jeera 1⁄2 tablespoon ginger paste 1 teaspoon minced garlic 500-600 grm chicken fillets cut into pieces. Salt and Pepper 1 tablespoon oil or butter 1 cup pureed tomatoes 1 tablespoon white sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup heavy cream Cut chicken into pieces, and season with a little salt and pepper. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine the plain yogurt with the lemon juice, tumeric, garam masala, chili powder, cumin, ginger paste, minced garlic and toss chicken. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or more. Heat the oil or butter in a pan. Add the chicken coated in the Marinade and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the pureed tomato, sugar and salt. Turn down to low and cover and cook. Let simmer for 20 minutues. Add the cream, and stir well. Garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve over rice and enjoy!:) |

Method: 1. Beat together butter and brown sugar till creamy. 2. Add vanilla and beat in. 3. Add the sifted flour and milk alternately, mix until well combined. 4. Add icing sugar gradually until the desired consistency is reached and beat until fluffy. 5. Add choc chips and gently fold in. 6. Freeze till needed. 7. Scoop a little cookie dough and sandwich between two pretzels. 8. Leave to chill in freezer a little while. 9. Dip half of the pretzel sandwich in melted chocolate and sprinkle sweets. 10. | body |  INGREDIENTS Recipe credit : Taste.com.au Ingredients : 3 eggs 1 cup castor sugar 2 lemons (squeezed) 2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest 2 cups self-raising flour (sifted) 1 cup greek yoghurt 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil LEMON SYRUP : 2 lemons (zest peeled into strips) 1⁄2 cup castor sugar 1⁄3 cup fresh lemon juice METHOD METHOD : Step 1 : Preheat oven to 180C. Grease pan, then line base and side with baking paper. Step 2 : Using an electric mixer, whisk eggs and sugar for 4 minutes or until pale and creamy. Add lemon juice and zest, then whisk for a further minute. Step 3 : Stir in flour, yoghurt and oil until smooth. Spoon into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into centre comes out clean. Step 4 : Meanwhile, to make syrup,place zest in a saucepan of boiling water for 1 minute. Drain and reserve zest. Combine sugar, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons water in same saucepan and cook, stirring, over low–medium heat until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 3 minutes or until thickened, then return zest to pan. Makes 1⁄2 cup. Step 5 : Using a skewer, poke approximately 15 holes all over cake. Pour half the hot syrup over cake, allowing it to sink in, before adding more. Stand cake in pan for 30 minutes. Release from pan and drizzle with remaining syrup. Serve with greek yogurt |

Mix 2 cups coconut and condensed milk together well. 2. With lightly greased hands roll into even size balls. 3. Place in freezer for an hour in an airtight container. 4. Melt white chocolate with oil. 5. Dip balls into chocolate and roll into remainder coconut. 6. Place in fridge to firm. |

| body |  INGREDIENTS khowse (noodles) Recipe and pic by : Naeema Mia Instagram :@naeema_mia 500g chicken fillet cubed 1 medium onion sliced 1 small tomatoe grated 1 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste 1 teaspoon salt (adjust according to taste) 1 teaspoon dhana jeeru (cumin) 1 teaspoon chilli powder ¼ teaspoon arad (Turmeric) 1 cinnamon stick Elachie pods 1-2 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter) 1 tin coconut milk 1 ½ cups milk 1 ½ cups water METHOD Braise onions, cinnamon and Elachi (cardomom) with ghee (Clarified butter) until soft. Add ginger garlic braise for one minute. Add chicken tomato, and spices. Allow to simmer on low heat to combine spices. When meat is cooked. Add coconut milk, milk and water to make a thin soup. Bring to a boil. 250g spaghetti boil in salt water al dente Samoosa or spring rolls pur fried Accompaniments : Fried garlic Course red chillies /sliced Spring onions dhania (coriander) To serve : Place spaghetti in the bowl pour soup over then crushed pur and other accompaniments. |

| body |  INGREDIENTS 2 onions chopped up 2 peppers cut into 4 1 potato cut into big cubes oil All the whole spices ( 4 of each ) 1 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon garlic 1 teaspoon red chili paste 1 teaspoon jeera powder 2 teaspoon dhana powder 1⁄4 teaspoon haldi crushed red chili ( to how strong you eat) 4 tomatoes pureed 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1⁄4 freshly squeezed lemon 1⁄4 cup sourmilk dhania (coriander) for garnish METHOD In a pot add the oil the whole spices , wait til the oil is heated , now add the onions and saute for about 3 minutes and add the peppers , cook til the onions starts to change color add the ginger , garlic and red chili paste , braise til you get the aroma . now add the washed mince , using you spoon separate you minces so it doesnt turn into a big blob . add the dry spices and potatoes cook on low for 5 minutes and add the tomatoes allow it to cook on low until the water almost burned out , now add the lemon juice , tomato paste and sourmilk and allow to cook on low until done , if you need the potatoes to soften add some water and allow for the minces to cook little longer garnish with dhania (coriander) , serve with roti/ vetkoek and lemon |
