      "body": "<html>\n<p>It’s been such a long week, I can’t even begin to tell you. You know when it gets off to a great start, and you think: “Hurrah, finally – I can actually get things done this week!” Then one thing happens and everything else goes out the window. Yeah, that’s this week in a nutshell…</p>\n<p>After that happy-go-lucky intro, I imagine you’re dying to know what happened. If you follow my socials (which, if you don’t, head to the menu bar at the top), you’ll have seen I’ve been back and forth to the vets with Toby because he’s got a bad eye. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t begrudge it one bit, and I’d rather be absolutely shattered after running around with him for the past however many days than have him in pain. But it could have been a lot worse, and I wanted to write about what happened because apparently its fairly common, but it could have been a whole lot worse.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://i2.wp.com/carryonconnor.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/IMG_4360.jpg?resize=1440%2C810&amp;ssl=1\" width=\"1440\" height=\"810\"/></p>\n<p>Basically,<a href=\"https://carryonconnor.com/category/lifestyle/toby-the-pug/\"> if you know Toby</a> you’ll know he’s one of those dogs that doesn’t show any pain whatsoever. He’s also not the brightest – much as I like to think he’s a genius – and I think years of bumping into things and hobbling all over the place have made him feel pretty indestructible. What that means, though, is it’s near impossible to know when he’s in pain. And, because he’s not the best when it comes to coordination and always looks pissed off, you just have to kind of go with it.</p>\n<p>So on Sunday, we noticed he wasn’t fully opening his left eye, and there was quite a bit of discharge in it – more so than usual. That wasn’t too unusual, because he has drops to help reduce it anyway, so we just assumed he was having a bit of an off day, wiped them, and let him get on with it. Behaviour-wise, he was fine.       "body": "<html>\n<p>Ok, so Halloween is quite possibly my favourite time of the year. There, I said it!&nbsp;</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://i.imgsafe.org/60/6042c9a71b.jpeg\" width=\"2208\" height=\"1242\"/></p>\n<p>As much I love summer, there’s something so nice about the weather changing, and being able to slip into your jogging pants, curl up under a blanket and watch old TV re-runs without feeling like you should be making an effort to get out of the house.</p>\n<p>Let me tell you – if it’s raining, I ain’t moving. That’s not to discredit particular products, but grooming and skincare regimes are made up of several building blocks, so to speak, and you’ve got to work from the ground upwards to build a solid and effective routine that suits your skin type.</p>\n<p><strong>THE HOLY TRINITY: CLEANSE, HYDRATE, PROTECT</strong></p>\n<p>Whether you’re looking to build or refine your skincare routine, you’ll need 3 essentials: a cleanser, a moisturising product, and an SPF - and none of it has to be expensive.</p>\n<p>You shouldn’t be spending a significant amount on your cleanser at all, because that's like, well, throwing your money down the drain - literally.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>I’m always banging on about SPF, and have written about it in depth before, but it really is the key to anti-ageing. However, money isn't everything.
