      "body": "In the winter of 2018 Ryan took this photo in Prince George, British Columbia. The photo then started being used in a heap of news articles (with no royalties, of course), and here is why:\n\nThis photo is of an atmospheric phenomenon call STEVE (Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement - the red beam you can see shooting through the sky). This natural light show is extremely rare and is only new to science. In its surroundings there are stores, restaurants, and other coffee shops, and Amelia is one of them. I’ve read a couple of articles about motion sickness and watched a few videos about it, but I've never seen someone suffering from it. I finally did today and it wasn’t a pleasant experience.\nWatching this lady struggle to fight the nausea and stay calm was sad and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for everyone who has to deal with motion sickness.\n\nMotion sickness is horrible, it hits you so hard, and since you’re in a confined space, you can’t do so much to help the situation.\n\n\nOur journey started on a good note until a the lady started to feel sick. Gladly, she had her big Stanley cup, making it easy for her to manage the situation.\n\nThis pretty lady moved from being all chatty to being sad and restless. It was a five-hour journey, and when it all started we’d barely started the journey.\n\nIt was so hard for her to stay still, she groaned in pain and each time she winced, there was a stranger there to tell her sorry.\n\nI and the lady who sat close to her took turns to rub her back, we all consoled her, cracked jokes, cheered her on and tried to proffer a solution. On a good day, you’d have expected these people to be disgusted as she was so loud, and you could literally see her throw up.\n\n\nWe all worked together to help our “patient” feel better.\n\nWe got to our destination, and surprisingly our patient made it. She was grateful, as her biggest fear was that she was pissing or making other passengers uncomfortable. She thanked everyone on the bus, and we were more than happy to have helped.\n\nAs tough and wicked as the world can be, it’s nice to see compassionate people who don’t hesitate to help others and also expect nothing in return.\nIf you belong to this category of people, you are amazing and we appreciate your contribution to humanity, you rock!\n\nHave you ever had to deal with motion sickness?
