      "body": "One of my guilty pleasures is testing new things. I'm always trying to figure out what works and what does not work, especially when it comes to our mind. \n\nSooo yesterday I intentionally made a post (on my Instagram) which in short sums up a (strong) lack of belief in spirituality, religions, and God. After posting it I lost around 70 to 100 followers in one day. Mind you that I didn't even go all out bashing any particular belief system. The post was just a general position about our tiny place in the Universe. \n\nMy concern for today's society is this jump to being offended by every and anything. You so much as say something that contradicts what somebody beliefs and they are offended. \n\nYou can't talk about the subjects X Y and Z because it will offend group 1. And you can't talk about A B and C because it will offend group 2. Eventually, you'll end up in a society where nobody can talk about anything because somebody will always be offended.\nI think being offended is one of the biggest cop-outs to debate your point of view.\n\nToday I just want to share that you're not open minded if you don't want to debate what you believe. You're not open-minded if you can't change your standpoint based on new insights.       "body": "I remember going to high school where the teacher would explain a specific math problem we would have to solve that day. While he was explaining it everything seemed so obvious. After he was done I would always tell myself that this was a piece of cake not worty of my full attention. So instead of making all the excercises myself I would just read the questions, look at the answer sheet and nod my head in full believe that I would've gotten the same answer. \n\nThat's probably one of the biggest lie we tell ourself. The truth is that we don't get it and we don't understand it. It just does not work that way. Seeying someone else speak, write or do something we want to do is not enough to get it. We need to work it into our brain until it becomes a habit.\n\nThat's why I write a lot and that's why I love to have long meaningful conversations with people. It is to see if I really get it. To challenge my mind into having as many perspectives as I can hold. I want to be able to explain myself in as many ways as possible until it works for everybody. \n\nTry to remember that it's okay if you don't get something right away. The younger you learn that you're only fooling yourself with this mentality, the better of you'll be. Work at it until you do get it no matter how long it takes. Most people can't handle that so they actively partake in self-delusion. They love to hang out with people that believe the same thing they do because it just feels natural. As soon as someone challenges their (core) believe system, they'll go into defense mode.
