| body | [Blockchair](https://blockchair.com), known for its search and analytics engine for 16 blockchains, has launched [Blockchair Donut](https://blockchair.com/donut): a place for nonprofit organizations and open-source projects to raise funds in crypto. Blockchair provides the organizations with much-needed reach-out among its large visitor base and does not impose any fees on the fundraising organizations. As mentioned on their website, ‘Blockchair Donut was born out of the idea of giving something back to crypto supporters and is purely philanthropic’. Blockchair does not take any profit from the campaigns nor does it require any promotions of Blockchair services. It hopes to make a positive impact on the world and help the growth of crypto while supporting organizations that strive to and make the world a better place. Besides, it offers free integration of a convenient payment widget to the fundraisers, allowing the easiest checkout for their website visitors. In the first round of featured campaigns are well-known projects to the crypto community such as Litecoin Foundation, The Tor Project, and WikiLeaks, but also less-known projects such as Watsi and Kult. All featured organizations are screened by Blockchair and accept donations in crypto. Donors can make their donation in 3 simple steps while having the option to donate in various cryptocurrencies. Once donated, a PDF receipt becomes available that can be used for tax return purposes. Blockchair, which lives by the motto of privacy first, does not require registration or KYC processes in order to donate, but donors can sign up for the newsletter of the organization to receive updates of how their funds have been used. Information about donors won’t be shared with third parties, as Blockchair does not gather user data, nor tracks users - according to its strict [privacy policy](https://blockchair.com/privacy). Blockchair encourages to share the campaigns on social media to help nonprofit and open-source projects gain visibility and raise funds to keep on with their mission. It invites crypto users to [have a look at ongoing campaigns](https://blockchair.com/donut) and invites fundraising nonprofits and open-source projects to apply. **About Blockchair:** Blockchair offers a search and analytics engine and a wide range of professional tools for scientists and developers of multi-currency wallets and exchanges for 16 different blockchains. This includes [APIs](https://blockchair.com/api), a [release monitor](https://blockchair.com/tools/release-monitor) to track upcoming hard forks and core client updates, [Data Dumps](https://blockchair.com/dumps), an anonymous [portfolio tracker](https://blockchair.com/markets), and [charts](https://blockchair.com/charts) with blockchain and monetary data. | body | **[Blockchair](https://blockchair.com/) has released Privacy-o-meter in its public block explorer and API to measure the privacy level of Bitcoin transactions. The free feature makes use of 50 heuristics and allows visitors to look up how much information about their identity has been leaked. In a later stage, wallets and exchanges will be able to use the feature to notify users about how much information will be leaked before sending out a transaction.** While Bitcoin is considered to be a privacy-oriented system, the blockchain is open to be analyzed by anyone, and there are numerous transaction tracing tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, CipherTrace, and Crystal. These are paid tools and often only available to a handful of individuals and companies. Bitcoin users thus rarely have the opportunity to see how deep the rabbit hole goes regarding their privacy loss. Blockchair launched a simple transaction scoring tool and will expand this further in the upcoming months. It currently uses indicators that reveal user information such as: - Is an address reused or not? - Is one of the outputs a rounded number, thus the recipient? - How many input addresses have been used? But also more technical heuristics such as: - Which script or multi-sig type has been used to sign a transaction? - How are output scripts compared to input scripts? - How are inputs or outputs ordered? As mentioned by Blockchair, transaction tracing is relatively simple as most users aren’t concerned enough about their privacy and often make ‘mistakes’ like sending round BTC amounts. Wallet providers are often also not highly concerned about user privacy. Taking the previous example in context, there are no warnings if a user tries to send a rounded amount. In comparison with protocols such as Zcash, Monero and Dash, in the Bitcoin network there are no transaction obfuscating implementations, and due to the lack of scalability so-called Mixers are expensive and cumbersome to use. Blockchair provides the privacy-o-meter for free as it hopes it will help Bitcoin users take some of their privacy back. **About Blockchair** Blockchair offers a blockchain explorer and a wide range of professional tools for scientists and developers of multi-currency wallets and exchanges for 15 different blockchains. This includes APIs, a release monitor to track upcoming hard forks and core client updates, Data Dumps, an anonymous portfolio tracker and charts with blockchain and monetary data. The website is offered in 7 languages and no user data is gathered nor shared with third parties. |

"body": "**[Blockchair](https://blockchair.com/) has released Privacy-o-meter in its public block explorer and API to measure the privacy level of Bitcoin transactions. The free feature makes use of 50 heuristics and allows visitors to look up how much information about their identity has been leaked. In a later stage, wallets and exchanges will be able to use the feature to notify users about how much information will be leaked before sending out a transaction.**\n\nWhile Bitcoin is considered to be a privacy-oriented system, the blockchain is open to be analyzed by anyone, and there are numerous transaction tracing tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, CipherTrace, and Crystal. These are paid tools and often only available to a handful of individuals and companies. Bitcoin users thus rarely have the opportunity to see how deep the rabbit hole goes regarding their privacy loss.\n\n\n\n\nBlockchair launched a simple transaction scoring tool and will expand this further in the upcoming months. It currently uses indicators that reveal user information such as:\n\n- Is an address reused or not?\n- Is one of the outputs a rounded number, thus the recipient?\n- How many input addresses have been used?\n\nBut also more technical heuristics such as:\n\n- Which script or multi-sig type has been used to sign a transaction?\n- How are output scripts compared to input scripts?\n- How are inputs or outputs ordered?\n\nAs mentioned by Blockchair, transaction tracing is relatively simple as most users aren’t concerned enough about their privacy and often make ‘mistakes’ like sending round BTC amounts. Wallet providers are often also not highly concerned about user privacy. Taking the previous example in context, there are no warnings if a user tries to send a rounded amount.\n\n\n\nIn comparison with protocols such as Zcash, Monero and Dash, in the Bitcoin network there are no transaction obfuscating implementations, and due to the lack of scalability so-called Mixers are expensive and cumbersome to use. \n\nBlockchair provides the privacy-o-meter for free as it hopes it will help Bitcoin users take some of their privacy back.\n\n**About Blockchair**\nBlockchair offers a blockchain explorer and a wide range of professional tools for scientists and developers of multi-currency wallets and exchanges for 15 different blockchains. This includes APIs, a release monitor to track upcoming hard forks and core client updates, Data Dumps, an anonymous portfolio tracker and charts with blockchain and monetary data. The website is offered in 7 languages and no user data is gathered nor shared with third parties.",

| body | After supporting block explorers for privacy coins, such as [Dash](blockchair.com/dash) and [Monero](blockchair.com/monero), [Blockchair](blockchair.com) is now available on the Tor network. The website works without JavaScript and third-party trackers to protect user’s privacy in the best possible way. From now on, users can enjoy an extra layer of security while searching for data stored in blockchains. Blockchair follows a [strict privacy policy](blockchair.com/privacy) and only collects anonymous aggregated data that allows improving the website features. They specifically state not to be using CDN providers (including those used to distribute JavaScript libraries and styles), third-party web analytics tools, hit counters, cookies that can be used to identify users and other third-party site elements. When users leave the website, their browser won’t send HTTP referer headers. This means that users can navigate to other sites without their browsing activity being traced by those sites. Ordinarily, a cryptocurrency address page is only visited by the address owner, while the transaction page is visited by the transacting parties. Therefore, it would be easy for a third party to make up a profile of the user and his approximate crypto holdings, based on the visited URLs. If such information becomes public knowledge, those users are likely to be targeted by cybercriminals. Users of Blockchair do not run this risk. Blockchair provides explorers for 13 different blockchains in a privacy concerning manner. For the onion v3 version, users can use blkchairbknpn73cfjhevhla7rkp4ed5gg2knctvv7it4lioy22defid.onion and for the legacy version blockchairt5d4pj.onion. The Tor domain addresses can be verified in the footer of the regular website in the ‘Crypto-anarchist corner’. **About the Tor network** Tor is free and open-source software that enables anonymous communication by directing internet traffic through a free worldwide volunteer overlay network that consists of more than 7000 relays to conceal a user’s location and usage from anyone conducting network surveillance or traffic analysis. Tor's intended use is to protect the personal privacy of its users, as well as their freedom and ability to conduct confidential communication by keeping their internet activities unmonitored. |

| body | After recently having released new explorers and APIs for [Monero](Blockchair.com/monero) (XMR) and [Cardano](Blockchair.com/cardano) (ADA), and a [release monitor](Blockchair.com/tools/release-monitor) and [full node dumps](Blockchair.com/dumps) for developers, Blockchair has now launched a [halving countdown dashboard](https://blockchair.com/tools/halving-countdown) for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV. In Bitcoin networks, ‘miners’ are incentivised to process transactions correctly with new Bitcoins entering the system at every block of transactions that is processed correctly. This block reward decreases 50% every 4 years. Starting with a block reward of 50 Bitcoins per block, the current block reward is 12,5 Bitcoins per block, and will be reduced to 6,25 Bitcoins per block. The halving of the block reward for Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV will happen approximately on the 8th and 9th of April respectively, and for Bitcoin on the 12th of May. Many speculate that this will increase the price of the respective currency due to the decreased supply of Bitcoin. Blockchair now offers a simple overview of the most important data with regards to the Bitcoin halvings. |

| body | After recently having launched explorers and professional APIs for the [Telegram Open Network](https://blockchair.com/ton?from=steemit) (TON) and [Monero](https://blockchair.com/monero?from=steemit) (XMR), Blockchair now also launched [support for Cardano](https://blockchair.com/cardano?from=steemit)! After the recent partnership establishment between Cardano and PWC regarding the commercialisation of Cardano, which caused a price increase of 15%, holders of ADA have received even more good news: a professional and private explorer made available by Blockchair, together with a [professional and stable API](https://blockchair.com/api/docs#a-namelink_007a-cardano-like-blockchain-stats?from=steemit). ‘Just as Charles Hoskinson mentioned in his recent AMA, we also believe that there won’t be a single solution to the problems cryptocurrencies went on to solve. We believe that there will be multiple blockchains for multiple purposes and that they, in the end, will be interconnected. Therefore, we are continuously trying to add new explorers and API services for different blockchains.’ Yedige Davletgaliyev, Head of Research at Blockchair [Blockchair](https://blockchair.com?from=steemit) is a provider of on-chain data for 14 different Blockchains. It sets itself apart by being [privacy concerned](https://blockchair.com/privacy?from=steemit) and offering its public explorers in 5 languages. For developers, it offers stable APIs, that are simple to implement, for all the 14 supported blockchains. Users of the explorers have the opportunity to look up transaction and address information but can also use a wide range of sorts and filters to look up detailed information. |

| body | After the recent price increase in Monero (XMR) of 30% and the release of Triptych by the Monero Research Lab (MRL) that should increase performance, there is more good news for Monero users: we just added [Monero to our explorer](https://blockchair.com/monero?from=steemit) and [API services](https://blockchair.com/api/docs#a-namelink_006a-monero-like-blockchain-stats?from=steemit)! Monero users can now check their transactions and other technical details in a privacy concerned manner and in 5 different languages. Monero is a privacy coin that makes use of both the ZK-snark technology ‘Bulletproofs’ and ‘ring signatures’ to obfuscate sender(s) of a transaction. By adding multiple semi-randomly selected public-keys from other points in the blockchain and adding them as ‘sender’ of the transaction, the real sender’s address is obfuscated. Currently, 10 decoy addresses are used to obfuscate the real sender of a transaction. We launched our explorer with a user-interface in line with the other explorers and will add more new features over time. A stable API with elaborate documentation is available as well. | body | [Blockchair](blockchair.com) has launched a [release monitor](blockchair.com/tools/release-monitor) that allows developers to find all upcoming hard forks and core client updates for 12 blockchains in one place. This feature is especially useful for developers of multi-currency blockchain software such as wallets and exchanges. With this tool, you will never miss a hard fork or core client update anymore! As soon as there is a new release of blockchain reference node software, you will be the first one to know about it. ‘The idea is that there are lots of blockchains with constant updates, forks, etc. The thing is that once there are more than 2 or 3 blockchains you support, it becomes a mess to get to know about latest updates. There are some tools that allow you to track multiple GitHub repositories at once, but this still requires some setup. We had all the updates on our internal kanban board, so we decided to make a small, but extremely useful, tool for this.’ Nikita Zhavoronkov, Lead Developer at Blockchair![Release Monitor.jpg] Blockchair is a search and analytics engine for 13 different blockchains that offers developer tools such as stable APIs, direct SQL-access, Data Dumps and PDF-receipts. For instance, [“The Hacker Manifesto” by Loyd Blankenship](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/transaction/0x5426753be6c60670d33c5ee771c89680586d3de56dc68f9f9fdfc835fb93afee), [news about the North and South Korea reconciliation](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/transaction/0x9655cd5dc4dc59b9e4c8f4077c621c04b0b27f3c37b60371e806e279e312c2e5) and even [marriage proposals](https://blockchair.com/search?q=Marry+me)! These data are stored in Ethereum transactions’ “input” field and in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash scripts, such as OP_RETURN, that are widely used by “decentralized Twitters”. It can never be changed or deleted. In addition to searching over Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash scripts’ data, Blockchair now allows to search over “extraData” and “input” fields of the Ethereum blockchain. **1 interface – 3 blockchains** The unified search interface allows to search over 3 blockchains: [Bitcoin](https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/blocks), [Bitcoin Cash](https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/blocks) and [Ethereum](https://blockchair.com/ethereum) by one query. Users who use public blockchains for data notarization, proof of ownership or land registries should not be burdened by storing transaction hashes. Users can find these transactions based on data recorded in them and not vice versa. **Sorting and filtering** Finding the largest transaction by value transferred is impossible for the traditional banking system. For cryptocurrencies, due to blockchain’s transparency, this is possible, but not easy. Blockchair solves this problem by offering a one-click solution. Here are some examples: * The largest transactions in [Ether](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/transactions?s=internal_value(desc)), in [USD](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/transactions?s=internal_value_usd(desc)) * Blocks with the highest total fee in [Ether](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/blocks?s=fee_total(desc)), in [USD](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/blocks?s=fee_total_usd(desc)) In addition to the monetary data, sorting and filtering by technical data are useful for technology experts: * [Transactions with the highest depth](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/calls?s=depth(desc)) * [The most complex transactions](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/transactions?s=gas_used(desc)) * [Empty blocks](https://blockchair.com/ethereum/blocks?q=transaction_count(0)) **Data Export** Sorted and filtered data can be obtained in CSV, TSV and JSON. It can be used by analysts for various purposes. For example, to find correlations between the data from the blockchain and its cryptocurrency or token price, or for data visualization. Data export for non-commercial purposes is offered for free. **Market breaking changes:** * Full-text search; * Sorting and filtering; * Unified interface for multiple blockchains; * Different types of data export. |

| body | Over the past few years, the cryptocurrency market as a whole has spiked in value. It has already reached the level of large companies. And If monetary matters require careful handling, cryptocurrencies require good analytics. Checking all information concerning your transaction cannot be over-emphasized. Let’s imagine that you are not just a cryptocurrency wallet holder, and now you would like to make investment or engage in trading. Many issues, however, remain to be addressed. Are there any trading signals or macroanalytical indicators correlating with price? How can you integrate them into your trading algorithm? How to avoid scam ICOs? It’s time to get acquainted with Blockchair! **What is Blockchair?** Blockchair is an online service found at [Blockchair.com](http://Blockchair.com). It's useful to make an analogy between Google and Blockchair. Google is a search engine that explores the web on a regular basis to find sites. Blockchair does the same for blockchains. You can use the website’s search form to find ALL information on the Bitcoin and Bicoin Cash blockchains (Ethereum is on its way). Blockchair maintains a dataset of all Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash transactions, all blocks, and all outputs. You can use Blockchair as a full database search engine. The dataset is searchable from the top of [Blockchair.com](http://Blockchair.com). Blockchair can provide ready-made analytics for decision making. |
