This is the best way to get around the creek. Its about 1 Dihram per ticket ! Can you believe that ?\n\nYou have an option to even charter and Abra ! The fare is given to the driver directly. \n\nI stayed with my aunt and uncle, who were sweet enough to put up with me and my tantrums whenever i threw them, stay pretty far from the old city of Dubai. People running into cabs.. busses.. metros watching their cellphones. And then there is me sitting on a bench sipping on water observing all this just so that i can make a living by watching them. \nI spent a couple of hours just sitting and doodling the basic composition on a small note book that i carry around everywhere.\nI had people ask me questions like what i was doing here.       "body": "Hey guys ! So I have been working on a a series for the last 4 months that i wish to share over here. \n\nI was invited by an art gallery in Dubai last November after they had seen my illustrations of Chennai city, The owner wanted me to illustrate the local culture and the domestic settings of this magnificent city. \n\nI was there from the 4th -12th November 2017. I was briefed to spend an entire day at different locations so that i could capture every movement.\n\nDubai as we all I’m now is known for its tourism and luxury shopping destinations. Also 90 % of the people living here are expacts ! It came as a big challenge to me since there was not much of the old/local Dubai left. This meant i had to actually get my self out there and speak to the local Emiratis and eat information out of them !\n\nI spent a couple of hours a day speaking to different levels of people on my visit. I was playing as a tourist and as a local there so that i could get as better perspective of this city. I did all the touristy things that Dubai had to offer ! Except sky diving ! Something i would never do in my life!! I am scared to death of heights xD\n\nAnyways, so I am back from my fun Trip and got to my pencil and papers. So I have been working on a a series for the last 4 months that i wish to share over here. \n\nI was invited by an art gallery in Dubai last November after they had seen my illustrations of Chennai city, The owner wanted me to illustrate the local culture and the domestic settings of this magnificent city. \n\nI was there from the 4th -12th November 2017. I was briefed to spend an entire day at different locations so that i could capture every movement.\n\nDubai as we all I’m now is known for its tourism and luxury shopping destinations. Also 90 % of the people living here are expacts ! It came as a big challenge to me since there was not much of the old/local Dubai left. This meant i had to actually get my self out there and speak to the local Emiratis and eat information out of them !\n\nI spent a couple of hours a day speaking to different levels of people on my visit. I was playing as a tourist and as a local there so that i could get as better perspective of this city. I did all the touristy things that Dubai had to offer ! Except sky diving ! Something i would never do in my life!! I am scared to death of heights xD\n\nAnyways, so I am back from my fun Trip and got to my pencil and papers. This means i need to pay attention to line weights and make sure every asset that i draw needs to stand out. My pens range from 0.1-1. This makes a huge difference! Before Photoshop was my favourite.. it still is. But procreate makes my life easier and the Apple Pencil is just OMG. Since i render on my iPad, its so much easier when you’re traveling ! Work doesn’t stop ! Bhavya here ! I am an illustrator and a 3d visualiser from Chennai, India. Since i am new to this forum, i may take a while figuring the interface and all that.\n\nI was introduced to steemit by two wonderful friends of mine- ‘ Manouche’ and @soulturtle. \nThough i am not much of a writer,  i willl attempt. I let my illsutrations do most of the speaking.\n\na little bit about my past work life and how I ended up what i am currently doing :\n\nAfter completing my schooling at THE school KFI, Adyar, i did my undergraduation in 3D animation. \n\nI Began working right after! Within a month of my graduation, my first job was at an architecture firm. This was something that was not planned for. \n\nIndia saw a downfall in the animation industry back in 2013. Major animation studios across the country had fired over 100 employees.. which made most of the freshers wonder. \n\nI was fortunate to have met an old family friend who introduced me to this architecture firm. This is where my work life started. Majority of my architectural vislualisation skills were practised here. My future posts will highlight few of my 3d renders too.\n\nNot having lost touch with my pencil and paper, i decided to be more aggressive with myself. This made me create and ideate a lot illustrations which were appreciated by a large audience in the city. \n\nIt made me think of the possibilities of freelancing  and reaching out to a larger audience.\n\nSo here i am doing just that !\n\nThat’s a brief background of me.\n\nI plan on blogging as often as i can and showing you my illustrations  and the entire work flow behind it.:)\n\nSo i hope you enjoy what you see !:D",
