La letra refleja el estado de rebeldía de las personas en aquel entonces, pero siempre llevando el sueño de independencia que habitaba en sus mentes. La letra fue escrita como un himno patriótico en el año 1810 por el poeta Vicente Salias, y la música fue compuesta por el músico Juan Jose Landaeta. La letra refleja el estado de rebeldía de las personas en aquel entonces, pero siempre llevando el sueño de independencia que habitaba en sus mentes. La letra fue escrita como un himno patriótico en el año 1810 por el poeta Vicente Salias, y la música fue compuesta por el músico Juan Jose Landaeta.
