      "body": "Hello dear steemians how are you all doing? Well, here am feeling good to be here \nToday i made a very nutritious meal for the family called  turn brown Pap.It is a Nigerian fermented cereal made from guinea corn, Millets and yellow maize. And in some areas in Nigeria it's called Akamu, Ogi etc.\n\nI bought ten cups each of guinea corn, Millets and yellow maize from the market, carefully select it removing all dirt and shaft away.\n\nNext i turned all three cereals together into a clean bucket filled with water and washed thoroughly.\n\n *_Soaking Of The Creals( The Fermentation process)_* \nAfter washing the cereals  cleaned, i took another clean water and soaked the cereals into a clean bucket filled with water, covered it and then allowed to ferment for three days.\nWhy? ferment it you might asked.\n\n *_Importance Of Fermentation_* \nIt is important to note that allowing the pap to ferment is healthy for our body. This is true because fermented foods are rich probiotic bacteria.\n\n *_What Is A Probiotic Bacteria_* \nThese are combination of lived beneficial bacteria and or yeasts that naturally live in our body. And we have two types of bacteria that lives in our body - The bad and good bacteria.\nProbiotics are made up of good and bad bacteria that helps keep our body healthy and functions properly.\nThis good bacteria helps in fighting off bad bacteria when it is too much in our body. And the pap will help maintain her high blood pressure.\nBecause of consistent high blood pressure and age factor her medical  doctor warned that the  salt in her meal should be reduced. Thus pap being a potassium- rich food will help lessen the effects of sodium in her body while also reducing or easing tension in her blood vessel walls and this will shield her against myriads of health conditions that could have come up in the future.\n\n(2).   Apart from the  aged, pap is also good for pregnant women. The deficiency of folic acid could result in the birth of underweight infants or might even cause or trigger neural tube defects in newly born babies. And so pap is an excellent food for expectant mother since it  is rich in folic acid.\nMost importantly, it promotes breast milk production after child birth and gives great strength to the breast feeding mother.\n\n(3).  In Nigeria turn brown pap is a popular weaning meal introduced to babies and toddlers because it is easy to digest, very nutritional to the  growing child,provides some proteins vitamins and minerals that are very critical for baby's growth and overall development.\n   \n(4).  Nevertheless, pap is very good for lactating mothers because it contains a high amount of water and some other components that promote easy, adequate flow of breast milk for lactating mothers.\n\n(5).  It is a friend to the digestive system this is  true because its digest food easily, because of the high content of water in it, as such, letting the body to get rid of unwanted elements and substances simply by increasing the rate at which you urinate and reduces constipation.\n\n(6).  It revives or gives strength to convalescence individuals who are recovering from illness.\n\n(7).  It is a good source of carbohydrate so it is an energy giving food.\n\n(8).   It promotes mental alertness or sharpness and accelerate the mentabolism of fat for energy. \n\n(9).  It improves kidney's health.\n\n(10). This morning I went to the farm and uprooted a large quantity of cassava, bring it home and peeled manually with a knife.\nThen i thoroughly washed the cassava with clean water and took it to the grinding machine for grinding. Then at the process of toasting i added a little amount of palm oil into the toasting pan to change the color of the cassava to yellow.\n\nThe Importance Of Adding Palm Oil In Cassava Flakes (garri)\nIt is important to note that adding palm oil to garri during the production stage, helps in the following ways:\n(1). It improves vitamin A which helps our vision.\n(2). It is one of the effective ways of reducing the cyanid content of garri to a minimal safe level.\n(3).
