Do large crowds make you want to flee to the safety and solitude of your own home? Do you frequently break out in a cold sweat or become nervous when attending a large gathering? If you recognize any of these symptoms, you are most likely one of the many people who suffer from social anxiety disorder. The good news is that with time, counseling, and practice, you can join the hundreds of thousands of people who are successfully breaking the habit and reintroducing themselves to social situations. Many of us yearn to be able to get up in front of large crowds of people and be in the spotlight. We see others around us who are at ease with being the center of attention and the respect they earn for doing so. However, when it comes time for us to take the stage or be the center of attention, we frequently feel ill or uneasy about the whole thing. While some may dismiss this as merely a habit with no consequences other than our embarrassment, the truth is that people who are self-conscious or react negatively in social situations are more likely to be passed over for promotions, advancement, and simply being a "part of the group." There are a variety of methods and simple at-home exercises that can help you overcome your anxiety and return to the crowds and social activities that you may have had to abandon due to fear. A variety of online support groups as well as local support resources provide the information and assistance that many people require in order to regain control of their fears and face them head on. If you believe you may be suffering from this disorder, seek help immediately, either online or locally. You don't have to be afraid of interacting with society; there are people who can assist you.

body![pexels-photo-5649889.jpeg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTJ1CSwFVkvWghuAhpBmCGQAxBxAtDBJRp7RPDALLWuJ9/pexels-photo-5649889.jpeg) English is a fun language to learn (here are 9 reasons why), and while it is considered an accessible and relatively easy language to learn, with 750,000 words and spelling that can confuse even the most skilled learner, learning English quickly can seem impossible. But I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way – as long as you have the right strategy. 1. Read anything and everything you can get your hands on. If it's in English, read it: classic literature, paperbacks, newspapers, websites, emails, your social media feed, cereal boxes. Why? This content, on the other hand, will be chock-full of juicy new vocabulary as well as a fair amount you already know. This allows you to improve quickly because re-exposure to learned vocabulary provides you with new examples in context, reinforcing those words in your mind. Learning new words and expressions, on the other hand, is critical to expanding your vocabulary arsenal, especially in a language like English with so many words! However, don't just read and move on – you'll need to... 2. Actively record new vocabulary This is a tried-and-true tip for a reason: it works! We often enjoy a new word or phrase so much when we are learning that forgetting it seems impossible. But believe us when we say that not everything sticks the first time. To combat this, get into the habit of carrying a unique notebook with you or using a tool like Evernote. When you hear or read a new word or expression, write it down in context, that is, in a sentence with its meaning noted. This saves you time because you won't have to go back to that word and wonder, "What did that word/expression mean again?" 3. Interact with real people. What is the purpose of a language if not to communicate? Sure, we humans have mastered the art of communicating without opening our mouths – thank you, Whatsapp! – but However, when it comes down to it, speaking a language helps it stick in your head far better than reading or writing it. Consider how many times you've heard someone say, "I understand, but I don't speak English." Many would-be English speakers have turned talking into a massive impediment that only serves to frighten them. Don't be that way. Seek out native speakers for informal language exchanges, enroll in a course, or take online classes. 4. Join podcasts or YouTube channels (in English) Do you enjoy humour? Politics? Blogging? Cooking? There's an English-speaking podcast or YouTube channel for every interest imaginable. Subscribe to a few and listen to or watch them while driving to school or work. You may find the native accents difficult at first, but stick with it and you'll soon start to understand what you hear (along with learning a lot of new vocabulary from a native speaker!) 5. Travel abroad We'd love to know if there's a better way to learn English than living and studying in an English-speaking country! It's no secret that English is the most widely spoken language in the world, and with so many countries to choose from, you can tailor your ideal learning environment to your preferred hemisphere, weather, or city. Consider Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and South Africa, to name a few. 6. Make use of your friends Do you have friends who post in English on the internet? Don't skip over them in your newsfeed; instead, scan the items they share and commit to exploring one or two of them each day. They could be news or magazine articles, videos, talks, blog posts, songs, or anything else: as long as it's in English and the topic interests you, it'll be useful! 7. Inquire a lot of questions Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it also accelerated the language learner's progress! As you learn English, you will amass a mountain of questions. Don't ignore your doubts; instead, be curious about them and work to resolve them! If you're enrolled in a class, ask your instructor (after all, that's what they're there for). But don't worry if you're learning alone: look for answers in blogs or language websites, ask other students, or read through forums. You'll be glad you did! 8. Take a cue from the stars. Mix up your learning by selecting a favorite native English-speaking actor or singer. Now, go online and look up a bunch of interviews they've done – and watch them! Watch for the gist once, then again, taking notes on interesting expressions and words you hear. The slang, stories, humor, and anecdotes that emerge from these interviews will undoubtedly provide you with plenty to work with! 9. Begin with what you truly require. Your English studies will likely move much faster if you constantly remind yourself of your motivations for learning. Are you participating in a study exchange? Then, concentrate on vocabulary that is relevant to your studies. Have a conference in another country? Rehearse some conversation starters to use with the other attendees. Taking a gap year? It appears that travel and tourism vocabulary will serve as your guide. If you start learning English with the expectation of magically learning everything at once, you're likely to end up confused and burned out. That brings us to... 10. Don't beat yourself up while you're down. When you start to feel like you're not making progress – which everyone does at some point – don't say, "I don't speak English," or "I'll never get this." Indeed, eliminate those phrases from your vocabulary! They only serve to distort your perception of your progress and persuade you that your ambitions of speaking English fluently are unrealistic. Instead, tell yourself, "I'm learning English and improving every day," "It's not always easy, but it's worth it," "I'm so much better than I was six months ago," and other phrases to keep the big picture in mind.

But I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way – as long as you have the right strategy.\n\n1. Read anything and everything you can get your hands on.\n\nIf it's in English, read it: classic literature, paperbacks, newspapers, websites, emails, your social media feed, cereal boxes. However, don't just read and move on – you'll need to...\n\n\n2. Actively record new vocabulary\n\nThis is a tried-and-true tip for a reason: it works! This saves you time because you won't have to go back to that word and wonder, \"What did that word/expression mean again?\"\n\n\n3. Interact with real people.\n\nWhat is the purpose of a language if not to communicate? Sure, we humans have mastered the art of communicating without opening our mouths – thank you, Whatsapp! – but However, when it comes down to it, speaking a language helps it stick in your head far better than reading or writing it. Consider how many times you've heard someone say, \"I understand, but I don't speak English.\" Many would-be English speakers have turned talking into a massive impediment that only serves to frighten them. Don't be that way. Seek out native speakers for informal language exchanges, enroll in a course, or take online classes.\n\n\n4. Join podcasts or YouTube channels (in English)\n\nDo you enjoy humour? bodyIn recent years, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a new vehicle for digital art, have taken the global market by storm. What exactly is NFT? How did it come about? What impact does it have on the future of the art market? NFTs, or Non-fungible tokens in Chinese, are a unique, verifiable source of digital media. powered by blockchain technology, NFTs are now gradually disrupting the entire digital art world. Deconstructing "Isomorphism Broadly speaking, human assets can be divided into two forms, namely "fungible" and "non-fungible". "Homogeneous assets" are all assets that have the same external value as their counterparts, the most common example being circulating currencies. Suppose two people each hold a currency. Since the two currencies are of the same value, they can exchange them without any loss of profit in the process. Conversely, a "non-homogenized asset" is a unique asset that cannot be exchanged for an equivalent asset of the same type, such as a souvenir or a collectible. For example, the value of an ordinary baseball is vastly different from that of a baseball with Babe Ruth's autograph. Similarly, an authentic Monet painting cannot be exchanged for a reproduction of a Monet painting, even if the two works appear to be identical. "Non-homogeneous assets" are unique assets that cannot be exchanged for equivalent assets of the same type. The concepts of homogeneity and non-homogeneity are closely related to everyday life. Look around and imagine if the object in front of you could be replaced by something that looks exactly the same on the surface. In this way, you will find that although we would not call our souvenirs or collectibles a "non-homogenized asset," they are in every corner of our lives. ![download.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXqVPWtFQnrsBx3SngQ5NmpiC392WgLh26ZVpPHETNu5X/download.png) In fact, the definitions of homogeneous and non-homogeneous are fluid. For example, if a homogeneous asset is given intrinsic value or unique characteristics, it can be redefined as a unique non-homogeneous asset. Conversely, if a non-homogeneous asset is suddenly downgraded (e.g., you find out that your Babe Ruth signature baseball is a fake), its value is the same as a regular homogeneous asset. ![1.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXjWsotSUs7L7WTyK5MeGTLCXS8ChtWiJ1t2hmBxKwd5m/1.jpg) Non-homogeneous assets and the digital world To be classified as a "non-homogenized asset", an object must be different and rare in the world. In today's online world, it would be a pipe dream to implement this concept in a sustainable and computable way - however, this has all changed with the birth of NFT. Digital objects have never been rare, and anyone can easily copy and share digital content circulating on the web, and artwork is no exception. With the abundance of online media, we can easily access digital art; however, this convenience also makes it difficult to give digital art a unique value. NFT provides authentication of the source of digital assets and eliminates misuse. The original ownership, scarcity and uniqueness of virtual objects have always been difficult to ascertain, so defining the value of digital art has never been easy. Due to these difficulties, it is difficult for digital artists to establish and maintain their creations, and cases of plagiarism and theft are commonplace. The biggest problem is that it makes it difficult for the general public and prospective collectors to treat digital art and physical art equally, assuming that the former is less valuable than the latter. The birth of NFT has brought about a paradigm shift for digital art and other online media - it provides authentication of the source of digital assets, eliminates abuse, introduces the concept of giving value to physical art and assets to the online world, opens up new horizons for precious digital art, and provides artists with unprecedented creative opportunities. The reason why NFT is called "non-fungible tokens" instead of "non-fungible assets" or "digital non-fungible assets" is because they They are the product of blockchain technology. ![2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmfGdpjqzr68LSwdRsh28nveFFw6atoHBafeMrnSUs9haE/2.jpg) Blockchain Technology and NFTs So, what is blockchain? To use a simple analogy, a blockchain is a decentralized, permissionless digital ledger. Decentralized means that the blockchain is not owned by anyone. Instead, it is stored and maintained by a group of users who do not know each other, as opposed to a centralized ledger technology (servers) that is supervised and maintained by a single entity. Permissionless means that anyone can store data, maintain a ledger, and view recorded activity on the blockchain. Just like in the real world, blockchain networks store both homogeneous and non-homogeneous assets. Common blockchain homogenized assets are BTC (bitcoin) and ETH (ethereum), which, as mentioned above, have the same extrinsic value. Ether for trading symbolizes an exchange of value, like a circulating currency on the market, rather than a unique asset for trading. Homogenized tokens such as ETH can be divided and rounded, meaning that (almost) all divided ETH can be bought, sold and traded. Once an artist has minted an NFT, collectors are free to buy and sell the token within the art world, operating in the equivalent of a secondary market. The source of all NFTs is public, making it easy for collectors to confirm the authenticity of NFTs before purchasing or auctioning them. Blockchain networks such as Ethereum also support non-homogenized assets. Homogenized assets have gained popularity in recent years, especially in the last year. Unlike homogenized assets such as ETH, NFT is a unique and indivisible asset token on the blockchain. To transfer ownership of an NFT, the token needs to be transferred from one user address (i.e., the user) to another. an NFT cannot be split into smaller units - a situation akin to how you can't cut a Babe Ruth signature baseball in half and have it's value remain the same. Each NFT is unique and its identity is available for verification. Whenever a user "mint" (i.e., creates) an NFT on the blockchain, a certain number of tokens are generated, and the NFT is often accompanied by a number such as "1x1" or "1x100", which indicates the number of tokens issued at the time the NFT was minted, proving its scarcity. Once a token is issued, the number cannot be changed and the creator and date of creation of the asset is permanently recorded in the NFT. The data of NFTs is fully public and irreversible, similar to the concept of edition number. The cost and difficulty of verifying the authenticity, originality, uniqueness and ownership of a given asset is significantly reduced. Once an artist has minted an NFT, collectors are free to buy and sell the token within the art world, operating in the equivalent of a secondary market. All NFTs are of public origin, making it easy for collectors to confirm the authenticity of NFTs before purchasing or auctioning them. In addition, NFT is equipped with automatic commissions, allowing artists to profit from the digital platform. Since NFT is a unique piece of code on the blockchain network, programmers can write NFT to return a percentage of profits to a specified user address, including the original artist, at each transaction. In other words, the originator does not have to be directly involved in the purchase or sale of NFTs to make a profit on each resale. Last year saw a surge in investors in the NFT market, which also attracted global attention. This phenomenon reflects not only a strong public interest in digital art, but also the unique value of rare digital assets with verifiable provenance. With the participation of creators, collectors and curators, it is clear that all aspects of the art market are benefiting and thriving. As blockchain technology continues to innovate, the entire NFT ecosystem will continue to expand and evolve, bringing more opportunities for technical excellence. Sotheby's is partnering with Nifty Gateway to present "The Fungible", a series of digital artworks by renowned creator Pak that opens the door to a world of non-homogenized assets, using blockchain technology and NFT tokens to provide collectors with unprecedented assurance of scarcity and ownership of digital assets, demonstrating to the public the unique value that technology can bring to artworks. With The Fungible series, Pak revisits our understanding of "value" and asks - what is the "value" of an object, and where does it get its ownership?

What impact does it have on the future of the art market?\n\nNFTs, or Non-fungible tokens in Chinese, are a unique, verifiable source of digital media. powered by blockchain technology, NFTs are now gradually disrupting the entire digital art world.\n\nDeconstructing \"Isomorphism\n\nBroadly speaking, human assets can be divided into two forms, namely \"fungible\" and \"non-fungible\". \"Homogeneous assets\" are all assets that have the same external value as their counterparts, the most common example being circulating currencies. Suppose two people each hold a currency. Since the two currencies are of the same value, they can exchange them without any loss of profit in the process.\n\nConversely, a \"non-homogenized asset\" is a unique asset that cannot be exchanged for an equivalent asset of the same type, such as a souvenir or a collectible. For example, the value of an ordinary baseball is vastly different from that of a baseball with Babe Ruth's autograph. Similarly, an authentic Monet painting cannot be exchanged for a reproduction of a Monet painting, even if the two works appear to be identical.\n\n\n\n\"Non-homogeneous assets\" are unique assets that cannot be exchanged for equivalent assets of the same type.\n\nThe concepts of homogeneity and non-homogeneity are closely related to everyday life. Look around and imagine if the object in front of you could be replaced by something that looks exactly the same on the surface. In this way, you will find that although we would not call our souvenirs or collectibles a \"non-homogenized asset,\" they are in every corner of our lives.\n\n\n![download.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXqVPWtFQnrsBx3SngQ5NmpiC392WgLh26ZVpPHETNu5X/download.png)\n\nIn fact, the definitions of homogeneous and non-homogeneous are fluid. For example, if a homogeneous asset is given intrinsic value or unique characteristics, it can be redefined as a unique non-homogeneous asset. Conversely, if a non-homogeneous asset is suddenly downgraded (e.g., you find out that your Babe Ruth signature baseball is a fake), its value is the same as a regular homogeneous asset.\n\n\n![1.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmXjWsotSUs7L7WTyK5MeGTLCXS8ChtWiJ1t2hmBxKwd5m/1.jpg)\n\nNon-homogeneous assets and the digital world\nTo be classified as a \"non-homogenized asset\", an object must be different and rare in the world. In today's online world, it would be a pipe dream to implement this concept in a sustainable and computable way - however, this has all changed with the birth of NFT.\n\nDigital objects have never been rare, and anyone can easily copy and share digital content circulating on the web, and artwork is no exception. With the abundance of online media, we can easily access digital art; however, this convenience also makes it difficult to give digital art a unique value.\n\n\nNFT provides authentication of the source of digital assets and eliminates misuse.\n\nThe original ownership, scarcity and uniqueness of virtual objects have always been difficult to ascertain, so defining the value of digital art has never been easy. Due to these difficulties, it is difficult for digital artists to establish and maintain their creations, and cases of plagiarism and theft are commonplace. The biggest problem is that it makes it difficult for the general public and prospective collectors to treat digital art and physical art equally, assuming that the former is less valuable than the latter.\n\nThe birth of NFT has brought about a paradigm shift for digital art and other online media - it provides authentication of the source of digital assets, eliminates abuse, introduces the concept of giving value to physical art and assets to the online world, opens up new horizons for precious digital art, and provides artists with unprecedented creative opportunities.\n\nThe reason why NFT is called \"non-fungible tokens\" instead of \"non-fungible assets\" or \"digital non-fungible assets\" is because they They are the product of blockchain technology.\n\n\n![2.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmfGdpjqzr68LSwdRsh28nveFFw6atoHBafeMrnSUs9haE/2.jpg)\n\nBlockchain Technology and NFTs\nSo, what is blockchain? To use a simple analogy, a blockchain is a decentralized, permissionless digital ledger. Decentralized means that the blockchain is not owned by anyone. Instead, it is stored and maintained by a group of users who do not know each other, as opposed to a centralized ledger technology (servers) that is supervised and maintained by a single entity. Permissionless means that anyone can store data, maintain a ledger, and view recorded activity on the blockchain.\n\nJust like in the real world, blockchain networks store both homogeneous and non-homogeneous assets. Common blockchain homogenized assets are BTC (bitcoin) and ETH (ethereum), which, as mentioned above, have the same extrinsic value. Ether for trading symbolizes an exchange of value, like a circulating currency on the market, rather than a unique asset for trading. Homogenized tokens such as ETH can be divided and rounded, meaning that (almost) all divided ETH can be bought, sold and traded.\n\n\nOnce an artist has minted an NFT, collectors are free to buy and sell the token within the art world, operating in the equivalent of a secondary market. The source of all NFTs is public, making it easy for collectors to confirm the authenticity of NFTs before purchasing or auctioning them.\n\nBlockchain networks such as Ethereum also support non-homogenized assets. Homogenized assets have gained popularity in recent years, especially in the last year. Unlike homogenized assets such as ETH, NFT is a unique and indivisible asset token on the blockchain. To transfer ownership of an NFT, the token needs to be transferred from one user address (i.e., the user) to another. an NFT cannot be split into smaller units - a situation akin to how you can't cut a Babe Ruth signature baseball in half and have it's value remain the same.\n\nEach NFT is unique and its identity is available for verification. Whenever a user \"mint\" (i.e., creates) an NFT on the blockchain, a certain number of tokens are generated, and the NFT is often accompanied by a number such as \"1x1\" or \"1x100\", which indicates the number of tokens issued at the time the NFT was minted, proving its scarcity. Once a token is issued, the number cannot be changed and the creator and date of creation of the asset is permanently recorded in the NFT. The data of NFTs is fully public and irreversible, similar to the concept of edition number. The cost and difficulty of verifying the authenticity, originality, uniqueness and ownership of a given asset is significantly reduced.\n\nOnce an artist has minted an NFT, collectors are free to buy and sell the token within the art world, operating in the equivalent of a secondary market. In other words, the originator does not have to be directly involved in the purchase or sale of NFTs to make a profit on each resale.\n\nLast year saw a surge in investors in the NFT market, which also attracted global attention. This phenomenon reflects not only a strong public interest in digital art, but also the unique value of rare digital assets with verifiable provenance. With the participation of creators, collectors and curators, it is clear that all aspects of the art market are benefiting and thriving.\n\nAs blockchain technology continues to innovate, the entire NFT ecosystem will continue to expand and evolve, bringing more opportunities for technical excellence. Sotheby's is partnering with Nifty Gateway to present \"The Fungible\", a series of digital artworks by renowned creator Pak that opens the door to a world of non-homogenized assets, using blockchain technology and NFT tokens to provide collectors with unprecedented assurance of scarcity and ownership of digital assets, demonstrating to the public the unique value that technology can bring to artworks. With The Fungible series, Pak revisits our understanding of \"value\" and asks - what is the \"value\" of an object, and where does it get its ownership?",
