| title | Cryptocurrency: How Much Should You Invest In Bitcoin? |
| body | If you have a pile of cash which you want to invest in the financial markets, how much should you invest in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? Are the opportunities in the cryptocurrency market so juicy that you should just go all in? Maybe just a humble 1%? Or perhaps somewhere in between those extremes? Cryptocurrency Risk Profile Without a doubt, cryptocurrency investment is extremely high risk. Even if you only put money into bitcoin, the most reputable cryptocurrency around, you’re still investing into experimental technology. And most of those ICOs? In the increasingly hyper-competitive cryptocurrency space, expecting that 9 in 10 projects will fail is probably on the low end. Sure, that single project that does explode in value could make up for the other 9 failures. However, this assumes that you’d have enough time (and luck) to find that needle in a haystack (or that you’re diversified enough). The ‘Perfect’ Balance So what’s the perfect amount to invest in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? Let me just cut to the chase: there is not one answer to this question which will be appropriate for everyone. If you’re a Russian oligarch sitting on a couple of billion dollars, then it’d be pretty stupid to bet everything on cryptocurrency. But if you’re a young millennial with just a few thousand pounds? Maybe betting everything you have makes sense. It’s a decision you have to make for yourself. To help you along with that, I collected the thoughts of a few cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Chamath Palihapitiya Most well-known from his time at Facebook, Chamath Palihapitiya has repeatedly recommended (e.g., here and here) that everyone should put about 1% of their investment capital into bitcoin. The crux of his argument is that bitcoin is uncorrelated with traditional assets classes (e.g., stocks), and will, therefore, serve as a hedge against the “autocratic regimes and banking infrastructure that we know is corrosive”. Tom Lee If you have a pile of cash which you want to invest in the financial markets, how much should you invest in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? Are the opportunities in the cryptocurrency market so juicy that you should just go all in? Maybe just a humble 1%? Or perhaps somewhere in between those extremes? Remember: I’m not a financial advisor. Find my riveting disclaimer here. Tom Lee Tom Lee is the co-founder of Fundstrat and is endlessly bullish about bitcoin. In this presentation at the Upfront Summit (previously mentioned in this post), Tom Lee highlights that top cryptocurrencies have an “uncorrelated alpha” which is the “holy grail of portfolio allocation”. Translated, this means that cryptocurrencies are not correlated with other asset classes (e.g., stocks) At this point in the presentation (on this slide), Tom notes that putting just 2% of your investment portfolio into bitcoin between 2014 – 2017 would have increased your returns by 2% (from 6% to 8%). Interestingly, a 10% allocation split between bitcoin and the top 10 cryptocurrencies would have yielded a 19% return (with a higher Sharpe ratio) over the same period. Michael Novogratz Another well-known bitcoin bull, Michael Novogratz (former partner at Goldman Sachs) thinks that “it’s almost essential for every investor to have at least 1% or 2% of their portfolio” in cryptocurrencies. In 2017, Michael reported that he had about 10% of his net worth in cryptocurrencies. If you have some time to burn, you might enjoy sitting through one of his 2017 interviews (see here). Erik Finman Erik Finman is a 19-year-old cryptocurrency millionaire who reckons that young people should invest 10% of their income into bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies. If you assume that half your income is lost to rent/mortgage and bills, then this actually equates to 20% of your disposable income. Not a fan of this piece, but it offers some contrast to Chamath Palihapitiya, Tom Lee, and Michael Novogratz. Louis Thomas Louis Thomas is a millennial cryptocurrency YouTuber who invested his life savings into Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2017. Quite a bold move. He notes that it wasn’t a huge amount (given he’d just finished university at the time). He also comments that he’d still go all in even if he was investing into cryptocurrency for the first time in 2018. This decision turned out well for him, but he doesn’t meaningfully weigh in on whether other millennials (who presumably have a low net worth) should follow his example. “What Should I Do?” I can’t make that decision for you, especially since I’m not a financial advisor. From what research I’ve done, there is a strong argument for some exposure to the cryptocurrency market. But going all-in? That seems quite extreme. The only caveat to that might be if your total investment capital is low (e.g., <£2500) and you’re young (e.g., an ‘entitled’ millennial or generation Z). That’s only because, in the grand scheme of your lifetime earning potential, losing that much wouldn’t hurt you too much in the long-run if you lost it all. “What Cryptocurrencies Should I Buy?” If I was investing anew today, this is what I’d do: Put >50% into Bitcoin (BTC). Bet on platforms like Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), and Neo (NEO). Invest something into blockchain-based identity solutions (e.g., Civic) and prediction markets (e.g., Augur). In the near future, I’ll write up a more detailed post answering this question (and providing some reasoning). Last Words Before jumping in, I’d suggest you put together some kind of investment strategy and ask the right questions about anything you’re thinking of throwing your hard-earned cash at. You might also want to take a gander at the /r/UKPersonalFinance flowchart. |

Are the opportunities in the cryptocurrency market so juicy that you should just go all in? Maybe just a humble 1%? Or perhaps somewhere in between those extremes?\n\nCryptocurrency Risk Profile\nWithout a doubt, cryptocurrency investment is extremely high risk. However, this assumes that you’d have enough time (and luck) to find that needle in a haystack (or that you’re diversified enough).\n\nThe ‘Perfect’ Balance\n\nSo what’s the perfect amount to invest in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies?\n\nLet me just cut to the chase: there is not one answer to this question which will be appropriate for everyone. If you’re a Russian oligarch sitting on a couple of billion dollars, then it’d be pretty stupid to bet everything on cryptocurrency. But if you’re a young millennial with just a few thousand pounds? Maybe betting everything you have makes sense.\n\nIt’s a decision you have to make for yourself. To help you along with that, I collected the thoughts of a few cryptocurrency enthusiasts.\n\nChamath Palihapitiya\nMost well-known from his time at Facebook, Chamath Palihapitiya has repeatedly recommended (e.g., here and here) that everyone should put about 1% of their investment capital into bitcoin. The crux of his argument is that bitcoin is uncorrelated with traditional assets classes (e.g., stocks), and will, therefore, serve as a hedge against the “autocratic regimes and banking infrastructure that we know is corrosive”.\n\nTom Lee\nIf you have a pile of cash which you want to invest in the financial markets, how much should you invest in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? Are the opportunities in the cryptocurrency market so juicy that you should just go all in? Maybe just a humble 1%? Or perhaps somewhere in between those extremes?\n\nRemember: I’m not a financial advisor. Find my riveting disclaimer here.\nCryptocurrency Risk Profile\n\nWithout a doubt, cryptocurrency investment is extremely high risk. However, this assumes that you’d have enough time (and luck) to find that needle in a haystack (or that you’re diversified enough).\nThe ‘Perfect’ Balance\n\nSo what’s the perfect amount to invest in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies?\n\nLet me just cut to the chase: there is not one answer to this question which will be appropriate for everyone. To help you along with that, I collected the thoughts of a few cryptocurrency enthusiasts.\nChamath Palihapitiya\n\nMost well-known from his time at Facebook, Chamath Palihapitiya has repeatedly recommended (e.g., here and here) that everyone should put about 1% of their investment capital into bitcoin. The crux of his argument is that bitcoin is uncorrelated with traditional assets classes (e.g., stocks), and will, therefore, serve as a hedge against the “autocratic regimes and banking infrastructure that we know is corrosive”.\nTom Lee\n\nTom Lee is the co-founder of Fundstrat and is endlessly bullish about bitcoin. In this presentation at the Upfront Summit (previously mentioned in this post), Tom Lee highlights that top cryptocurrencies have an “uncorrelated alpha” which is the “holy grail of portfolio allocation”. Translated, this means that cryptocurrencies are not correlated with other asset classes (e.g., stocks)\n\nAt this point in the presentation (on this slide), Tom notes that putting just 2% of your investment portfolio into bitcoin between 2014 – 2017 would have increased your returns by 2% (from 6% to 8%). Interestingly, a 10% allocation split between bitcoin and the top 10 cryptocurrencies would have yielded a 19% return (with a higher Sharpe ratio) over the same period.\n\nMichael Novogratz\nAnother well-known bitcoin bull, Michael Novogratz (former partner at Goldman Sachs) thinks that “it’s almost essential for every investor to have at least 1% or 2% of their portfolio” in cryptocurrencies. In 2017, Michael reported that he had about 10% of his net worth in cryptocurrencies.\n\nIf you have some time to burn, you might enjoy sitting through one of his 2017 interviews (see here).\n\nErik Finman\nErik Finman is a 19-year-old cryptocurrency millionaire who reckons that young people should invest 10% of their income into bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies. If you assume that half your income is lost to rent/mortgage and bills, then this actually equates to 20% of your disposable income.\n\nNot a fan of this piece, but it offers some contrast to Chamath Palihapitiya, Tom Lee, and Michael Novogratz.\n\nLouis Thomas\nLouis Thomas is a millennial cryptocurrency YouTuber who invested his life savings into Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2017. Quite a bold move. He notes that it wasn’t a huge amount (given he’d just finished university at the time). He also comments that he’d still go all in even if he was investing into cryptocurrency for the first time in 2018. This decision turned out well for him, but he doesn’t meaningfully weigh in on whether other millennials (who presumably have a low net worth) should follow his example.\n\n“What Should I Do?”\nI can’t make that decision for you, especially since I’m not a financial advisor. That’s only because, in the grand scheme of your lifetime earning potential, losing that much wouldn’t hurt you too much in the long-run if you lost it all.\n\n“What Cryptocurrencies Should I Buy?”\nIf I was investing anew today, this is what I’d do:\n\n Put >50% into Bitcoin (BTC).\n Bet on platforms like Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), and Neo (NEO).\n Invest something into blockchain-based identity solutions (e.g., Civic) and prediction markets (e.g., Augur).\n\n\nIn the near future, I’ll write up a more detailed post answering this question (and providing some reasoning).\n\n\nLast Words\nBefore jumping in, I’d suggest you put together some kind of investment strategy and ask the right questions about anything you’re thinking of throwing your hard-earned cash at. You might also want to take a gander at the /r/UKPersonalFinance flowchart.",

| title | Bitcoin Price Prediction 2018: Can cryptocurrency hit $50,000 this year? -Bitcoin News Today –Sun May 13 |
| body |

Can Bitcoin hit $ 50,000 this year? While most of the cryptocurrencies are much below their earlier highs but there are newer and newer predictions coming up for cryptocurrencies. One such prediction is that Bitcoin can rise to as high as $ 50,000 in the calendar year 2018. A cryptocurrency portfolio manager by the name of Jeet Singh, stated at World Economic Forum in Davos, that the current volatility is completely normal when it comes to the cryptocurrencies space. He also stated that it is normal for cryptocurrencies to fluctuate by 70% to 80%. This is one of the main reasons why the current volatility does not worry him at all. [sm_bitcoin_price] He compared cryptocurrencies to the current bellwether companies like Microsoft as well as Apple. Initially, their stocks were also pretty volatile. However, as the companies develop their business model, the stocks not only rose but they become much more stable as well.

However, many of the investors are actually currently worried due to the high volatility in cryptocurrencies. According to him, however, long-term investors need not fear the volatility at all. Since they are here to stay for a longer period of time, they would have no problem at all in holding the cryptocurrencies for a longer period of time as well. He further added that Bitcoin would reach as high as $ 50,000 this year. If indeed that happens, the current price of Bitcoin being around just $ 10,000, that would be a fivefold increase once again. Whether the portfolio manager is right or wrong, only time would be able to tell. The truth is that currently, many of the investors are worried about putting new money into Bitcoins. Only once they are sure that the volatility would end and the Bitcoin resumes its uptrend you can be sure that most of the investors would actually get ready to invest in this cryptocurrency. For now, however, most of the investors are keeping away from the cryptocurrency boom. Many of the investors are just holding their holdings patiently in order to find out whether the cryptocurrencies resume their uptrend or not. It is still too uncertain for most of the investors to take a call. On the other hand, institutions are increasing their presence in the cryptocurrencies pace as well which is sure to benefit the cryptocurrencies space and would add value and credibility to the cryptocurrencies in the future as well. This is one of the main reasons why it is not seeing further fall after creating a bottom few weeks back. Also, once the regulatory hurdles are sorted, you can be sure that the value of cryptocurrencies would again more. tags: bitcoin price prediction today usd, bitcoin forecast 2018, bitcoin price prediction chart, bitcoin forecast 2020, bitcoin forecast 2017, bitcoin price prediction 2019
—
Bitcoin Price Predictions 2018: How high can Bitcoin price go in 2018? Up to $1 million or down to $100? (In-Depth Analysis) Bitcoin prices in 2018 have been marked by volatility which has made bitcoin price prediction in short-term a bit of a challenge, even for the experienced analysts. As at the time of writing, the price of Bitcoin took a dip from 10k to under 8k following news that search engine giants, Google will ban crypto-related ads. So far, 2018 has presented its own surprises though not a dramatic as the rollercoaster we say in 2017. History generally has a way of repeating itself but bitcoin has a lot of history which makes it an equal challenge predicting which history will be repeated. It takes more than a study of past trends to get predictions spot-on this time and so we ended this article by highlighting certain area expert analysts were looking at. Analysts, enthusiast, and industry figures have very diverging opinions and bitcoin price predictions for both long and short-term. Optimism is still high in many quarters—reports of a new survey among British financials suggest a wide majority will buy more coins in hope of price resurgence later this year.

As we delve into who’s saying what and why, here’s a heads-up. Expect a lot more price fluctuations in the interim. It’s going to be a bumpy ride getting to wherever Bitcoin is headed by the year’s end.

Surely, Bitcoin is headed up – John McAfee

John McAfee, Bitcoin supporter and founder of the popular McAfee antivirus software, is being very positive about Bitcoin. He predicted that Bitcoin price will hit $1 million by 2020 following last year’s prediction of $7000 which was well surpassed.

Bitcoin Price Prediction Tracker portal, Bircoin.top, did the maths and explain that Bitcoin needs to grow daily at 0.4840957034310259% per day.to meet McAfee’s prediction. Currently, Bitcoin is around $ 8,207 compared to $ 7,171. Cool right? However, to hit McAfee’s target, BTC would end the year just over $29k.

“BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bitcoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my d**k if wrong” – John McAfee

Apart from the economics behind the limited supply of Bitcoin, his prediction considered the factors like the increased adoption of Bitcoin and blockchain as well as a total cryptocurrency’s market cap around $162 billion which gives large room for growth.

Expect stability only after 10 years – Kristjan Dekleva (Hedge)

The Swiss-based financial expert will have us brace up for a decade of turbulence before any hope for a stable bitcoin. This he suggests will coincide with a general acceptance of Bitcoin even in hard-stance China. This though, not as a fiat replacement but a viable alternative.

“In my opinion, it will be at least 10 years before we see stability”. – Kristjan Dekleva (Hedge)

The finance expert at cryptocurrency project Hedge sees Bitcoin investments as all-too-similar to the DotCom bubble of the 90s. So Mr. Dekleva, what are we having for supper in 2018?

“In the short-term, falls have been driven by emotion and in many cases disinformation – a small rumor can have a big impact…Demand is driven by market speculation, but the absence of institutional investors means the market is unstable.

Instability it is. Next stop is the prestigious Harvard.

Bitcoin to shrink to $100 – Kenneth Rogoff (Harvard Prof & ex IMF chief)

Known for his disparaging remarks against Bitcoin, a former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Kenneth Rogoff has poured icy water on hopes of Bitcoin making it to the moon.

“I think Bitcoin will be worth a tiny fraction of what it is now if we’re headed out 10 years from now…I would see $100 as being a lot more likely than $100,000.” – Kenneth Rogoff

Rogoff’s prediction is based on his long-held belief that governments will rise against anonymous virtual currencies like Bitcoin. Government regulations, according to Rogoff, will pop the Bitcoin bubble but a Bitcoin pioneer on Wall Street thinks along very different lines.

Bitcoin to reach $25k in 2018 – Tom Lee (Snr. partner Fundstrat; ex-chief JP Morgan)

Popular Bitcoin forecaster Tom Lee expects Bitcoin to reach $25,000 by mid-2018, more than double its price of about $10,000 in January when the prediction was originally made.

“We expect bitcoin’s major low to be $9,000, and we would be aggressive buyers around that level,” – Tom Lee

Though Bitcoin went below Lee’s base of $9,000 (nearing $6,000), it has bounced out reaching in March $11,000. It will take a ride similar to the one we witnessed last year for Bitcoin to reach this mark. To make this happen, Lee is counting on more institutional investors taking on Bitcoin and a steady increase in Bitcoin user base. Lee’s target may be half the mark according to fellow crypto-believer.

Volatile Bitcoin to touch $50,000 – Jeet Singh (cryptocurrency portfolio manager)

Speaking in January at the World Economic Forum in Davos, experienced cryptocurrency fund manager, Jeet Singh predicted that the price of Bitcoin will go as high as $50,000. He warned of heavy price fluctuations which he believes is only normal for a Bitcoin market that is still maturing.

Bitcoin could definitely see $50,000 in 2018…We will probably go through a suffering period of volatility around the time of Bitcoin’s next $10,000 landmark.” – Jeet Singh

Just like Lee, Singh expects Bitcoin to be adopted not just in the black market but by institutions and entire countries. If 50k seems too optimistic, how about 100k from the “Nostradamus of Markets”?

Bitcoin is the future; Fiat is Past – (Tim Draper, Venture Capitalist)

In 2014 with bitcoin at only $413, popular VC, Tim Draper predicted bitcoin to reach $10,000 in three years. This was fulfilled a month earlier than he predicated earning him a reputation among crypto fans. Though he didn’t categorically, predict a $100k Bitcoin in 2018, He said he expected the Bitcoin to continue its growth in an interview with Bloomberg last year. Tim Draper has made successful bets with Tesla, Skype, and Twitter in the past. Assuming this growth happens at the same pace as the 3-year journey to $10k then we’re in for six digits. Maniacal right? That’s exactly how Draper feels about Bitcoin prospects. Now onto someone who understands a lot about bitcoin’s foundation.

Bitcoin will hit $ 40,000 – Llew Claasen (Executive Director, Bitcoin Foundation)

Last month, Llew Classen made a bold statement to reassure Bitcoin believers that the cryptocurrency is on the right track –specifically, on track to reach the $40,000 mark. Though his outlook for some altcoin holders was not very encouraging, he made it clear that as something new, cryptocurrency will be as risky as it is exciting.

Bitcoin to pass $43K by December 2018 – (Survey by Finder.com)

Finder.com sought opinions of 13 cryptocurrency experts and concluded that Bitcoin price will witness a 300% growth to land at $43,000 by the end of the year. The site also predicted Bitcoin at over $14K by March 1.

“While we saw the top 10 coins dive by 24 percent last month, our survey shows panelists are expecting this to be a bump in the road as these coins are set to recover.” – Jon Ostler, UK CEO, finder.com

Ostler noted that the predictions were not cast in stone as they can easily be swayed by “outside factors such as regulations, laws, and banking systems”

Bitcoin Will hit $320,000 someday – Cameron Winklevoss (co-founder, Gemini)

One of the popular Winkelvoss twins, Cameron Winklevoss recently said that he could easily see the price of BTC go up 40% someday. This year maybe? Not likely. We observed a general trend in their assessments.

Expect Price Fluctuations:

At this stage, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be greatly affected by speculations. Even small developments in governments, traditional will likely affect prices. Most say the fluctuations are normal and wouldn’t affect the longer term outlook.

Long-term outlook

Experts would prefer to make predictions over a longer period. It is more common to have bitcoin price predictions for 2020 or a 10 to 20-year outlook. While the current reality may suggest some gloom, it’s worth remembering that the heights achieved last year came amidst similar corrections along the way. It’s only the 1st quarter of the year.

Bitcoin will be the standard for virtual currencies.

Though bitcoin may have a limited use case, it has been tipped to remain the king of all cryptocurrencies. It’s not going to be a case of “which altcoin will overtake bitcoin” rather how they will impress with their special use cases. It is a fact that the technology behind bitcoin is less sophisticated when compared to many other projects like ethereum.

Bitcoin as a store of value

Gradually, bitcoin is being seen more as a store of value that an actual currency being compared to gold and other assets. Bitcoin was originally designed as an alternative currency to bank the unbanked. Most decision making bodies and financial experts, however, see Bitcoin more as a store of value, an asset rather than a medium of transaction.

Many Altcoins will suffer

Part of the process that will lead to general acceptance of cryptocurrencies will include a clean-up of “useless” cryptocurrencies. A good number of the 2000 coins will naturally go away as their value become worthless—some, only a fraction of cent. Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple and Llew Claasen of Bitcoin Foundation are among those raising this alarm.

Economics of Scarcity

The limited supply of bitcoin—a fixed supply 21 million BTCs—will play a role in its price; if not now, in the future.

Outside factors will play a significant role

Many observers believe that outside factors which affect the adoption of bitcoin will ultimately dictate the price in the short-term. The creation and performance of futures markets, for instance, is expected to tilt the price either way.

There are still concerns about bitcoins used for illicit purposes

Due to the anonymity of Bitcoin transactions, it has been used to conduct illegal activities giving Bitcoin a general bad image. This image, analysts believe will affect its adoption and ultimately its prospects in the future.

Finally, Caution against risking your life savings

Crypto investments are new and super-risky. Remember ethereum founder saying that cryptos are so risky the prizes might actually drop to zero. Well, that doesn’t seem practical but the message was clear. Do not invest your life savings in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies generally. Just like John Draper noted, you still need to buy stuff in fiat. So while bitcoin will likely worth a lot more in the future, it’s advisable to invest just as much as one can afford to lose. Legal Disclaimer: The content of this website (smartereum.com) is intended to convey general information only. "body": "
\n

\n
\n
\n—
\nBitcoin Price Predictions 2018: How high can Bitcoin price go in 2018?
\n
As we delve into who’s saying what and why, here’s a heads-up. Expect a lot more price fluctuations in the interim. It’s going to be a bumpy ride getting to wherever Bitcoin is headed by the year’s end.
\n
Surely, Bitcoin is headed up – John McAfee
\n
John McAfee, Bitcoin supporter and founder of the popular McAfee antivirus software, is being very positive about Bitcoin. He predicted that Bitcoin price will hit $1 million by 2020 following last year’s prediction of $7000 which was well surpassed.
\n
Bitcoin Price Prediction Tracker portal, Bircoin.top, did the maths and explain that Bitcoin needs to grow daily at 0.4840957034310259% per day.to meet McAfee’s prediction. Currently, Bitcoin is around $ 8,207 compared to $ 7,171. Cool right? However, to hit McAfee’s target, BTC would end the year just over $29k.
\n
“BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bitcoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my d**k if wrong” – John McAfee
\n
Apart from the economics behind the limited supply of Bitcoin, his prediction considered the factors like the increased adoption of Bitcoin and blockchain as well as a total cryptocurrency’s market cap around $162 billion which gives large room for growth.
\n
Expect stability only after 10 years – Kristjan Dekleva (Hedge)
\n
The Swiss-based financial expert will have us brace up for a decade of turbulence before any hope for a stable bitcoin. This he suggests will coincide with a general acceptance of Bitcoin even in hard-stance China. This though, not as a fiat replacement but a viable alternative.
\n
“In my opinion, it will be at least 10 years before we see stability”. – Kristjan Dekleva (Hedge)
\n
The finance expert at cryptocurrency project Hedge sees Bitcoin investments as all-too-similar to the DotCom bubble of the 90s. So Mr. Dekleva, what are we having for supper in 2018?
\n
“In the short-term, falls have been driven by emotion and in many cases disinformation – a small rumor can have a big impact…Demand is driven by market speculation, but the absence of institutional investors means the market is unstable.
\n
Instability it is. Next stop is the prestigious Harvard.
\n
Bitcoin to shrink to $100 – Kenneth Rogoff (Harvard Prof & ex IMF chief)
\n
Known for his disparaging remarks against Bitcoin, a former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Kenneth Rogoff has poured icy water on hopes of Bitcoin making it to the moon.
\n
“I think Bitcoin will be worth a tiny fraction of what it is now if we’re headed out 10 years from now…I would see $100 as being a lot more likely than $100,000.” – Kenneth Rogoff
\n
Rogoff’s prediction is based on his long-held belief that governments will rise against anonymous virtual currencies like Bitcoin. Government regulations, according to Rogoff, will pop the Bitcoin bubble but a Bitcoin pioneer on Wall Street thinks along very different lines.
\n
Bitcoin to reach $25k in 2018 – Tom Lee (Snr. partner Fundstrat; ex-chief JP Morgan)
\n
Popular Bitcoin forecaster Tom Lee expects Bitcoin to reach $25,000 by mid-2018, more than double its price of about $10,000 in January when the prediction was originally made.
\n
“We expect bitcoin’s major low to be $9,000, and we would be aggressive buyers around that level,” – Tom Lee
\n
Though Bitcoin went below Lee’s base of $9,000 (nearing $6,000), it has bounced out reaching in March $11,000. It will take a ride similar to the one we witnessed last year for Bitcoin to reach this mark. To make this happen, Lee is counting on more institutional investors taking on Bitcoin and a steady increase in Bitcoin user base. Lee’s target may be half the mark according to fellow crypto-believer.
\n

\n
Volatile Bitcoin to touch $50,000 – Jeet Singh (cryptocurrency portfolio manager)
\n
Speaking in January at the World Economic Forum in Davos, experienced cryptocurrency fund manager, Jeet Singh predicted that the price of Bitcoin will go as high as $50,000. He warned of heavy price fluctuations which he believes is only normal for a Bitcoin market that is still maturing.
\n
Bitcoin could definitely see $50,000 in 2018…We will probably go through a suffering period of volatility around the time of Bitcoin’s next $10,000 landmark.” – Jeet Singh
\n
Just like Lee, Singh expects Bitcoin to be adopted not just in the black market but by institutions and entire countries. If 50k seems too optimistic, how about 100k from the “Nostradamus of Markets”?
\n
Bitcoin is the future; Fiat is Past – (Tim Draper, Venture Capitalist)
\n
\n
Bitcoin will hit $ 40,000 – Llew Claasen (Executive Director, Bitcoin Foundation)
\n
Last month, Llew Classen made a bold statement to reassure Bitcoin believers that the cryptocurrency is on the right track –specifically, on track to reach the $40,000 mark. Though his outlook for some altcoin holders was not very encouraging, he made it clear that as something new, cryptocurrency will be as risky as it is exciting.
\n
Bitcoin to pass $43K by December 2018 – (Survey by Finder.com)
\n
Finder.com sought opinions of 13 cryptocurrency experts and concluded that Bitcoin price will witness a 300% growth to land at $43,000 by the end of the year. The site also predicted Bitcoin at over $14K by March 1.
\n
“While we saw the top 10 coins dive by 24 percent last month, our survey shows panelists are expecting this to be a bump in the road as these coins are set to recover.” – Jon Ostler, UK CEO, finder.com
\n
Ostler noted that the predictions were not cast in stone as they can easily be swayed by “outside factors such as regulations, laws, and banking systems”
\n
Bitcoin Will hit $320,000 someday – Cameron Winklevoss (co-founder, Gemini)
\n
One of the popular Winkelvoss twins, Cameron Winklevoss recently said that he could easily see the price of BTC go up 40% someday. This year maybe? Not likely. The twin said he and his brother were taking longer outlook, 10 to 20 years.
\n
“Bitcoin is actually fixed in supply so it’s better than scarce … it sort of equals a better gold across the board. We think regardless of the price moves in the last few weeks, it’s still a very underappreciated asset.” – Winklevoss
\n
The fourth wealthiest cryptocurrency investor weighed bitcoin’s prospect against gold and came up with a resounding verdict. “We believe bitcoin disrupts gold,” He said.
\n
Bitcoin will reach $1million – Bobby Lee (CEO BTCC Exchange)
\n
Bobby Lee, CEO of China’s first Bitcoin exchange speaking at the London Blockchain Week went overboard with his prediction. | body |

Most often people lack the ideas for their project or a book , so they are stuck in a big loop without a real way out of it. But even if we say that its a loop there is a way out and thats creativity. You are siting on your bed or chair for hour, hour and hours and still nothing, your head is empty and you dont have even one idea. What should my project be about ? What should my book by about ? What to write about ? Days are passing and you are still clueless and not even near perfecting a great idea for your project. What if I tell you that its not that hard writing a good book , geting a good idea for a project, creating a nice program or video game, and all that you need is imagination. Think of it in this way , while you are trying to think of one idea , a perfect idea , why dont u combine your ideas and form something new and perfect. While writing a book there are a few things that you need to think of, insteed of saying a i am going to write a love story and then your brain goes blank. Its much better to think of small details and combine them to form a love story something perfect where you will know the path that you must take. So for an example I would think of cancer , moving to a new city , living alone , girl , to make to short lets just live it as it is. And then with just a few words you can combine a meaning , a boys mother dies from cancer and now he is all alone , latter he moves to New York cause he has relatives there that helped him inroll in a new school, his loves goes no where he has no one , he lost everything but then he meats a girl whose smile like a sun to him.... This plot sounds easy going cause I just thought of it while writing this post. It has no real meaning its just to show you that with just a few words that come out of your head you can form a story. You dont have to think of every detail by detail. The same goes for video games if you think of what kind of game your making , and then use the same method you can create your own story and create a perfect game.

This method maybe doesnt sound right to you, but it sure helps me when I need a idea for my games or programms.Let me know what you guys think of my way of thinking down below.

|

| title | Which one is a better Bitcoin,Litecoin Ethereum, or Ripple? |
| body |

This is a very complex question, and it’s next to impossible to give a definite answer. The reason being all of these have their pros and cons and virtually no one can give you more than a speculation. Here are the main points about all of these currencies:

Bitcoin - even though it’s not the very first currency out there, it certainly is the most popular and successful as of now. The market cap is way above all the other ones. It is often referenced to as digital gold, sort of an asset that gained enough momentum that it will remain valuable for time to come.Having said that, this does mean that the network is overloaded leading to major delays in transfers, it has many major governments trying to regulate (and often limit) its use, it became next to impossible to mine and the price of coins as well as the transaction fees are way up there, so much so that it hardly makes sense to invest if you don’t have rather hefty amounts to throw at it.

Ether - Made using Ethereum, this currency has seen more than impressive growth. As of the beginning of 2018 it successfully surpassed 4 digits USD value for a single coin. The main advantage is the use of Ethereum on the backend, which is now used by many others to build blockchain based decentralized applications. It is way easier to understand and learn than the code behind bitcoin. For this reason, Ethereum has relevancy like no other and is being used by many institutions for all sorts of things. However, since the code is very young and decentralized, it is prone to bugs that can be pretty detrimental when they occur on big transactions. Also, the main thing that gives Ether the advantage that it currently has, which is the fact that it’s build on Ethereum, might be taken away from it if another, even more user friendly platforms occurs.

Litecoin - It was made with the idea of it being a better, faster version of Bitcoin. It introduced features like SegWit and lightening network, which were supposed to make the transactions faster and cheaper.SegWit has been introduced to bitcoin blockchain as well, so the gap between the two has become somewhat smaller. Litecoin doesn’t really suggest any new ideas (like most altcoins), but rather refines the one that are essential to bitcoin.

Ripple - Ripple, on the other hand, does introduce a significant change. It is used for fast money transactions and as such has a lot of appeal to major financial institutions. This is something that makes it somewhat more stable and less prone to fluctuations.

It is not a cryptocoin in a traditional sense since it is mostly used to back the money transfers. Also it is way less decentralized since the company that made it owns over 60% of all coins.

So options are there. It is worth noting that it is a very common practice for people to not invest in a single currency, but to build portfolios of a few of them. Also you can always exchange one currency into the other. As long as you compare the rates and make sure you’re getting the best deal, that shouldn’t be a problem.

So there is no real answer if you ask me but what do you think please comment down below.

|

| title | Which one is a better investment, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, or Ripple? |

So there is no real answer if you ask me but what do you think please comment down below.

|

| body |

Hello to steemit and all of my followers, there maybe not many but still thank you for following. My first week on steemit didnt go as well as i thought it will but it was a fun journey and the start of the great adventure. I learned alot about how to steemit works , what content to post, and how to engage with the followers, there are alot of youtube videos about steemit , guides and tutorials on how to be a good steemit blogger, and there are alot of good steemit posts that can teach u the basics of being a good steemit member and gaining reputation. Even though my first week got my only 20 followers I enjoyed the experience and so i am setting my first goal to get 100 steemit followers.

So for every begginner out there I would recommend looking at all the youtube videos that talk about steemit and gaining reputation on steemit and then reading a few articles that other members of steemit wrote.

What I learned :

Read alot of good posts on the trending page to get a good idea for your blog.

Write every day and you will see great results.

Dont give up!

|
